Dont insult me please.
You brought phc into the discussion, then I tried explaining things that have been happening in two lga there. I did not include oyigbo.
Remember the Aba you at talking about is make up of Aba south and north with some other surrounding lga's.

Any day anytime, I prefer Aba to your PH. The ingenuity and resilience of Aba outclasses your oil drunk PH.

See how insecured you can be!
What brought about River state and Port Harcourt city to this..
Comparing a state and geo-political zone capital to ABA that's has never been a capital of anything under Nigeria..
Hmmm. Are you even kidding me
The same Rivers State resident that floods ABA market every now and then, just to buy goods as production is relatively low in pH, (almost every thing comes from ABA) including the goods being cleared in Rivers port will still be bought by Rivers resident only when the go to Aba..
I never created this thread for comparison, so don't try to derail it with your nonsense dick measurement..
Comparing pH (state capital) to ABA
Forgetting that oyibo is worse,
Now show us pictures of oyibo (the headquarters of bad roads and infrastructure) foolish fool!!
And in BTW port Harcourt has already been an oil city before the Creation of Rivers State
So if you think Abia needs to create an oil city,
Rivers should first create one, as oyibo, etche, and co are just nothing to write home about
In terms of good roads.
And to even think, you are the one talking about security (kidnapping in Aba) is laughable when insecurity ranging from cultism, kidnapping and militant activities is high in Rivers.
So carry your insecured, painful life and wait till when am posting about Rivers
For now forget Abia, the state is progressing more than you

U even think am from Abia

So because I created this thread, automatically am now Abia..lolz
If I even start talking about my own state here, you will even be ashamed of your so called Rivers
Anyway that's story for another day
For now keep believing anything that feeds your fantasies

And get the Bleep out of this thread!

My brother, you ain't the only one who sees through the media propaganda of demarketing and demonizing Aba.

We know Aba is far from where it should be, but to throw the baby with the bath water is ridiculously stupid and low.

I'm from Ubakala, in Umuahia. I know Aba very well. Aba needs constant renewal, but MOST states (including south east) in west africa, are not as planned and industrialized as Aba.

Replying you or taking you serious
You always like shifting the goal post
All this rubbish you are typing above shows you haven't even been to ABA,
Your are just one frustrated painful soul crying out his eyes seeing Aba glowing without little intervention from both federal or state government.
An if there are no kidnapping case ongoing in Aba as you claim, may you or your family members be kidnapped anytime you set your foot in ABIA
Amen!!!
Now run along with your ignorance
Cos you Know nothing about ABA
Choose another thread that favors you, not this one
You guys having been showing the particular bad side of a city since God knows when, now am trying to bring up the good side and you are all being bitter
This your last write up shows
You don't know really know ABA like you claim!

Politics / Re: Anioma Land Is Not Part Of Niger Delta Republic By Nwanyiogwashi by superlightning: 1:23am On Dec 16, 2020
gidgiddy:

What you are saying is a general thing. Thats how it is in all of Igbo land. There are many dialects such as Wawa of Enugu state, Ohuhu of Abia, Izzi of Ebonyi. In Delta state, they speak Igbo dialects such Enuani and Ika.

Asaba people have never denied being Igbo for one day. The King of Asaba, Obi Chike Edozien, is a proud Igbo man. Others like Ibusar, their actual name is 'Igbo -Uzo'. They dont deny being Igbo, their name even tells everyone they are Igbo. Much of Aniocha and Oshimili are proud Igbos. Late Obi of Ogwashiuku, and father Ngozi Okonjo Iweala, Professor Okonjo, was proud Igbo man. Another son of Ogwashiuku, Ralph Uwechue, was President General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo.

All of these people are proud Igbos from the Anioma area and are probably much older than you. It is an insult for people like you to now start telling them they are not Igbo

Aniocha, Osimili, ibusa, ogwashi-ukwu, Asaba are all igbo communities in delta state. Ignore the faceless naysayers here in nairaland.

In Nigerian politics if you want to succeed, pray the Igbo's should be against you and not support you

But if you want to fail in Nigerian politics, then let the Igbos support you. Your failure will be extreme

Igbo people hated Joe igbokwe so much yet he got a post most yourba were qualified for. If Okorocha continues to garn enough hate from the Igbo people, he will definitely become president of the federal republic of Nigeria.

Then you are more or less exposing your politics of hate. You are more or less paraphrasing this - Bash or attack igbos, then you will be recognized politically.

I will NEVER be used as cheap labour by private school owners. I once did because of naivety. Some of them are not even qualified to run an educational institution.

With my Masters degree in education, I now consult for parents and schools. I have armed myself with experience, Masters degree and TRCN license. I use this to check whatever excesses I discover among school owners and parents.

Only a few pay well.

Most Private school owners are not even educationally inclined. All they want is money, they don't value teachers.

I once taught in a private school, asides the teaching experience, some progressive teachers and rapport with students, every other thing was a nightmare.

Romance / Re: I Love Him So Much But I'm Afraid I've Lost Him. by superlightning: 7:32pm On Dec 10, 2020
LucyB24:
I'm a 24 year old lady living and working in Abuja. My job is very time demanding. I'm usually very busy on weekdays, and sometimes on weekends I can get called to work if something important comes up.

There is a guy I've known for months now. We met in Abuja at an event and we've been friends since. He lives in lagos but visits Abuja occasionally. He's also a very busy guy and he hardly has time on his hands. We have spent sometime together talking and getting to know each other but we haven't been on an official date. Most of our interaction has been over phone calls and WhatsApp text messages due to the distance barrier.

I fell in love with him during the course of our friendship. He is everything I want in a man. He's financially stable, very good looking and smart. The few times I've spent talking to him have been a pleasure, both for my eyes and for my mind. I never thought I could ever meet someone who checks all those boxes perfectly.

Men like him usually get a lot of female attention and I've tried to tread carefully. I didnt want him to see me as cheap but I also don't want him to think I am not interested in him. The day he told me he loved me was very memorable for me because I felt the same way. Few days later I told him I loved him too. Due to the distance barrier we could only talk on phone. I'm a very decent lady with good upbringing but because of what I felt for him, I did things I thought I'd never do. One night we had a sex chat that ended in me sending nudes to him. I've never done this before. This made me feel vulnerable and cheap because even though he said he loved me, I never believed him because he didn't really act like someone who was in love with me. He wasn't the type to call everyday and there were periods where he would dissapear for days and ignore my calls and texts and then return like nothing happened.

Last week we planned a special meeting. I was to travel to Lagos to see him at his place on Saturday morning. He had planned to refund me the money I'd use for my airline ticket and even hire a taxi that would bring me straight to his place from the airport. The way he sounded I knew he took it as a big deal. I agreed to come see him in lagos. On Friday morning he called and I assured him I was going to come. He called me again in the afternoon and I assured him I was going to come.

Towards the end of work on Friday my boss informed me that I had to be at work on Saturday to complete a very important project. Immediately I got the information I sent him a text. I was too tired when I left for home and I planned on calling him later that evening. I was so tired that I took a quick nap and woke up to missed calls from him. I called him back and asked if he got my message and he said he didn't. I informed him of the change in plans and he got very furious. He accused me of being indecisive and playing games. He said he had cancelled lots of meetings and spent money preparing for my visit and was disappointed that I didn't take him as seriously as he took me. He ended the call in annoyance and I've not heard from him since. He isn't picking my calls or replying my texts. I've sent him voice messages on WhatsApp apologizing and explaining myself but he hasn't replied..

I really love this guy and I don't want to lose him. He probably thinks I'm lying to him or that I have someone else I'm seeing but that's not the case.

if I were him, I would be upset too. Be if I really have interest in you, I would forgive and forget....what if tables turned?

You are definitely one of his paid praise singers on a monthly N30k, that goes online to defend ghost projects.

Small businesses have been striving even before Ikpeazu came on board as a Governor.

What kind of salaries does he pay. You mean when he owes 12month and pays 2 months, that means he has paid salaries. Have you been to the higher institution to know how much he is owing lecturers OR the teaching hospital.

Please dont tell me these institutions generate their own funds because these institutions do not have control over their accounts. Ikpeazu corruption is in another level.

He gives fake cheques and writes PDP at the back. Then rush to his popular radio Magic fm aba to announce he has payed salaries.

Do you know what PDP means at the back of a cheque.

It means "PLEASE DO NOT PAY"

Paid praise singers? lol..... it's not a must to contact the ikpeazuphobia infection. I wish he was paying me for being honest, but sadly he isn't.

I feel Abia is the shithole capital of the world. I think we are coming last in all the state of the federation.

In SME sector, he cut down tax rates in order to encourage the small businesses and made loans for businesses very accessible with little interest. How do I know this? my maternal cousin lives and works in aba. He runs a medium garment factory near ogbor hill there in aba.

Ikpeazu ensured technical training abroad for selected shoe and garment manufacturers. All these little support boosted the morale of business owners. Their challenge is mainly transport cost to supply their goods.

In payment of salaries, he is owing state civil workers (but not all state civil workers) for months. But this debt has been exaggerated by detractors.

I recently stumbled on this article. Bikonu, I don't reside in Abia State, I want you all to confirm this report.
Ikpeazu has positively transformed Abia, empowered youths’ – Phillip Nto

The Provost of Abia State College of Education Technical Arochukwu, Dr. Phillips Nto has described as mischievous and misleading an insinuation that Governor Okezie Ikpeazu was not performing.

Nto said the governor has positively transformed the state in the areas of education, agriculture, SME development, infrastructure, youths empowerment and purposeful governance.

He said the statement by one Chief Dan Okeke that the governor was more visible in Facebook than actual performance was meant to attract attention, as he was not on ground to appreciate what the governor has been doing for the people of Abia State in the last five years.

According to him, such an unsubstantiated and blanket condemnation of a man who has honestly dedicated himself to the service of the people was bound to attract the wrath of the people.

He noted that the Governor has uplifted education, including ASCETA where he heads, resulting to Abia posting the best WAEC results in Nigeria for four consecutive years.

“A man who has built a record 97 roads in five years, set up shoe factory for youth after training them in China cannot be accused of underperformance.

“Those doubting the performance of the Governor should make out time and visit the state to see for themselves what the governor has done.

“Apart from seeking attention, some of these opposition elements are not on ground. They are merely rumour merchants and attention seekers out to cause confusion’, he submitted,” he said.

The Provost also debunked the claim by Chief Okeke that he (Okeke) was a former ally of the Governor, saying it was a blatant lie.

“The first time he saw Ikpeazu was when I took him to the governor after the 2015 elections for the sole purpose of attracting contract to his company EXPRESS CONCERN LTD.

“By 2016, he had jumped to APC because he did not realise his interest. So how could he have supported the Governor’s elections in 2015 and 2019,” Nto added.

Nto, however, advised the people of the state to be wary of those who are out to destabilize the state through wild propaganda and sponsorship of fake news.

He also urged the governor not to be distracted by the antics of those he described as agents of confusion.

https://dailypost.ng/2020/11/29/ikpeazu-has-positively-transformed-abia-empowered-youths-phillip-nto/

my sister, detractors will begin to attack your honesty. They DETEST any good news coming from Abia. They lack constructive criticism.

My family just got back from Umuahia late last month. Umushia is my hometown. To be honest,

1. New standard roads (especially in-roads) have been constructed across the state. In umuahia, the roads are smooth. The only road challenging us is the federal road Enugu-Port Harcourt express road. Aba roads are generally below average but much better than the way it was before ikpeazu came in because he repaired several roads. There are still more roads in need for repair or renewal. My score for roads in the state is a Weak Pass (D)

2. In MSME and commerce, Abia has always been doing well. No one dragging this with Abia state. Small scale Businesses are thriving especially in Aba.

3. In Education, I don't know about the 4 times overall WAEC best the person claimed. WAEC hasn't officially ranked states for some years now since 2017 (I Stand to be corrected). Abia has been first for 2015 and 2016, overtaking Anambra that had previously been First.

4. In security, Abia is secured. Every armed robbery incident has been addressed prosecuted by security agencies EXCEPT FOR POLICE BRUTALITY.

Ikpeazu is not high-flying, he didn't actually TRANSFORM anything, he only tried to concentrate on abia's collective strengths with is Education and Commerce. Abia has always been known for commerce and Education.

Director of Radio Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu has been arrested by the police in Singapore.

“Uche Mefor and others IPOB leaders quickly resigned for fair of been extradited. Currently, Nnamdi Kanu is in terrible situation. 14 petitions were received on him. The petition that nailed him was the audio he made on aftermath of that peaceful protest where he encouraged IPOB to burn down people’s businesses and properties across Lagos State e and even attempted to kill top politicians and Governors”, the source stated.

Onuku You earlier told us Biafra had no business with Lagos yet we see their soldiers on the way to Lagos

Below is the letter from ojukwu to Banjo

From: The Military Governor,
Republic of Biafra Enugu,
22nd August, 1967.
My dear Victor,
1. For some time now, you and I have been discussing the circumstances that have led to the current and inevitable disintegration of what was the Federation of Nigeria. We have been fully convinced that the aim of the Hausa/Fulani complex has ever been, and will ever remain, the total domination of every other part of what was known as the Federation of Nigeria. It is impossible to forget that the crisis which led to the army take over in January 1966, the coup of the Northern soldiers led by Gowon in July 1966, the wholesale and indiscriminate massacre of the people of what is now Biafra- and, to a less degree, the people of the Mid-West and West, including the Yorubas, were all the direct result of Hausa/Fulani attempt to subjugate and use as tools, the gallant people of Western Nigeria namely the Yorubas. We do not need to remind ourselves of the heavy losses in life and property suffered by the Yoruba people in their fight for justice and freedom during 1965.

3. After clearing the whole question with my Executive Council, I, as the Commander in Chief of the Biafran Armed Forces, have decided to place at your disposal Biafran forces, for the liberation of
Yorubaland on the following clear conditions:-
(i)You will have nothing to do with the Military Administrator in the Mid-West Territory during your sojourn there prior to your move to the West.
(ii)The willingness and preparedness of Biafra to assist any part of the former Federation of Nigeria wishing and willing to liberate itself from the Hausa/Fulani domination, does not in anyway whatever
imply any inclination on her part to compromise her sovereignty or preserve what remains of the defunct Federation of Nigeria. In other words, our sovereignty and break with Nigeria is irrevocable. Nothing must, therefore be said or done by you or any member of the Liberation Army to give a contrary impression.
(iii)Biafra is determined to maintain and safeguard her sovereignty and ensure that her integrity and safety are never again threatened.

(iv)Biafran troops will, after the liberation of the Yorubaland, remain in that territory only for as long as we in Biafra consider it necessary for the Yorubas to consolidate their position and sovereignty against any external threat.
(v)On the liberation of the Yorubaland, you will be appointed as the Military Governor of that territory.
(vi)The liberation of Western Nigeria will be a prelude to the liberation of all Yorubas up to the River Niger and the severance of all connections between the West and the North at Jebba.
(vii)During the period of Biafrans troops’ presence in your territory, all political measures, statements or decrees shall be subject to the approval, in writing by myself or on my authority.
(viii)Should our troops arrive and liberate Lagos, the government of the Republic of Biafra reserves the right to appoint a Military administrator for the territory. Such an Administrator will remain in office until a merger of that territory with Yorubaland is effected by Biafran troops.

(ix)As soon as possible after your appointment as the Military Governor of Western Nigeria and separation of that territory from Nigeria, you and I must meet to discuss:
(a)the duration of stay of Biafran troops in your territory;
(b)the areas and subjects of cooperation between the liberated sovereign states of Western Nigeria, or by what name it may call itself, and Biafra.

6. Will you please signify in writing, your acceptance of the above conditions so that you may leave for Western Nigeria and lead the army of liberation.
