Y1bos and their divisive politics.

Cry me a bucket of water if you like, y1bos have been licking th a55 of the north from.time immemorial.

Zik formed govt with the north.

Zik connived with the north to put Awolowo behind bars.

Arthur Nzeribe annulled June 12 for northerners.

Daniel Kanu organised 5mm match for a northerner, Abacha.

For we neutrals, in all these your PDP vs APC and GEJ vs GMB arguments, we will like clarification on the following:

1. Did Buhari called for total shariah over Nigeria or not?

2. Did he called for bloodshed pre-2011 election or not?

As much as I do not want a daft and corrupt human being as my president, I also do not want a jihadist warlord at the same time.

As much as I want change, at what cost to my peace will the change be?

The neutrals are watching this thin line closely.

Politics › Don’t Be Afraid To Proclaim Biafra, Uwazuruike Tells MASSOB by superstar1(op): 3:44pm On Oct 22, 2014
Leader of the Movement for Actualization of Sovereign State of Biafra, MASSOB, Chief Ralph Uwazuruike has charged his subjects not to be afraid to proclaim the name of Biafra any where they may find themselves.

He maintained that fear of mentioning Biafra’s name in any part of the country should not arise because MASSOB is itself the fear and mere mentioning its name is enough to scare those he identified as saboteurs, adding that there is nothing whatsoever to be afraid of since an Igbo adage says that “fear does not fear anything”.

He therefore charged his members to go all over the place and campaign for the independence of Biafra without violence, as contained in the popular voice of former Biafran Head of State and respected Igbo leader, Late Dim Chukwuemeka Ojukwu.

Uwazuruike who gave the charge yesterday at Ojukwu’s Memorial Library, in new Owerri, Imo State, further declared: “The signs of Nigeria’s break-up are everywhere”. In Nigeria, it is only the Igbo of Eastern Nigeria that is seeking for independence through MASSOB. While MASSOB seeks for freedom, self determination, secession and the sovereignty of Biafra, adding, South West seeks for true federalism, but in their minds they want an Oduduwa Republic”.

He further declared: “Our brothers in the South-South seeks for resource control of what God had given them, but in their minds they want a country where their children and children’s children can proudly call their own. Therefore, anybody who fights against Biafra fights against God and the people and let me assure you that a free state of Biafra will assist America in the global war against terrorism”.

Meanwhile the leadership of MASSOB has accused the police in Anambra state of invasion of its Ayamelum regional office at Anaku in Ayamelum Local Government Area of the state.

In a statement issued to newsmen yesterday in Onitsha, Anambra state, MASSOB’s Deputy Director for Information and Anambra North Zonal leader, Mazi Chris Mocha said the body does not pose any security risk to the Nigerian State to have warranted such action to be meted out to an organization that preaches and practices non-violence.

Mocha listed some items suspected to have been taken away by the police team to include; cash worth N93,020, adding that the police team also set ablaze the Biafra, US and Israeli flags hung by MASSOB members on top of its one storey building housing its office, just as the police equally made away with six foreign chairs valued at N30,000 and 12 executive chairs valued at N23,200.
.
The statement further alleged that the policemen drafted from Ayamelum Divisional Headquarters, Anaku broke the doors of the building and allegedly gained access into the building where they also arrested six passersby including, two females and four males who were not even members of the movement.

He warned Nigerian security agencies, particularly the police to desist from further clamping down on armless MASSOB members for no just course or else they would go to court in each occasion to challenge their unlawful harassment, intimidation and illegal raiding and looting of their offices, henceforth.

1. WHY IS IT ONLY Igbos THAT ARE LOOKING FOR SUCH?

2. WHY ARE THEY NOT PROUD OF THE LAND THEIR ANCESTORS BESTOWED ON THEM?

3. WHY CAN THEY NOT REPLICATE THEIR MAGIC ''WE BUILT KADUNA, PORT HARCOURT, LAGOS, IBADAN, ABUJA'' IN THEIR LAND?

4. NO OTHER ETHNIC GROUP, EVEN THE KOMA PEOPLE, ARE NOT INTERESTED IN BEING INDIGENES OF ANY OTHER PLACE, WHY IS IT ONLY Y1BOS?

Politics › Lagos To Join Oil Producing States In 2015 by superstar1(op): 2:02am On Oct 16, 2014
Lagos State is set to join the league of oil producing states in the country come next year as the joint venture partners on the Aje Field offshore Lagos have taken the final investment decision on the exploration of the field.

A group led by Yinka Folawiyo Petroleum Company Limited took the FID to develop the first phase of the Aje shallow water oil field for $220m.

The aim of the first phase is to produce 10,000 barrels per day of oil from two target wells in the Oil Mining Lease 113 area. A re-entry of Aje-4 will form the first producer, while drilling of Aje-5 is expected to be the second.

The plans include the use of Rubicon’s Front Puffin floating production, storage and offloading vessel, which produced oil from the Puffin field in the Timor Sea. The vessel will be brought up to specification soon, while the procurement of subsea equipment and the contracting of a drilling rig are progressing.

The Aje field’s first stage is scheduled to be brought on stream at the end of 2015.

“We believe that this development is good for Nigeria generally because our reserves base has not increased over the years as expected, because the international oil companies are not ready to invest since the Petroleum Industry Bill has not been passed,” an elated Commissioner for Energy and Mineral Resources, Lagos State, Mr. Taofiq Tijani, told our correspondent.

Yinka Folawiyo is the operator with 25 per cent interest in the field. The partners are Vitol, 24.05 per cent; First Hydrocarbons Nigeria Limited, 16.875 per cent; Energy Equity Resources Limited, 16.875 per cent; Panoro Energy ASA, 12.19 per cent; and Jacka Resources Limited, five per cent.

The JV partners had in January 2014 submitted the Field Development Plan for the Aje field to the Department of Petroleum Resources. The FDP was approved in March and is primarily focused on the development of the Cenomanian oil reservoir.

The FDP envisages first oil commencing in late 2015 with mid-case reserves of 32.4 million barrels.

The first phase of development includes two subsea production wells tied back to a leased FPSO. These wells will most likely comprise the re-completion of the existing Aje-4 well and a new well drilled close to the Aje-2 subsurface location.

In addition, further potential on the block is being defined following the 3D seismic acquisition across both OPL 310 and OML 113.

Lagos State had last year established its oil and gas company following the passage of a bill that sought to establish the Ibile Oil and Gas Corporation.

The bill was to authorise the state government to invest and engage in oil and gas activities.

Its really sad when people come here and argue blindly. What they're hoping to achieve I don't get. Someone has argued here saying "remove Lagos from SouthWest" seriously how can this be done? Its like saying "if your father is not your father would you be here?" This is a senseless argument that can't get you anywhere. Lagos is a southwestern state, its a yoruba state, get over it. Its the same way we go to America and say its no man's land because it was built up by immigrants, fact is the Caucasians in America will continue having more power than any other race until kingdom come. Ambode is having issues now because they're claiming he's not from Lagos, Shasore is having issues not because he's not from Lagos but because he's from Lagos Central and it's supposed to be Lagos Eastern's turn for governorship. So that shows you even being an indegen of Lagos doesn't guarantee qualification, not to talk of a yoruba man from another state and then before you even get to anybody from another tribe. Now as long as power is being held by a certain set of people they own that place, no matter the number of businesses owned by others. Go to Dubai and tell the Emiratis they don't own their land because its filled with Expats, the Emiratis are in the minority but they hold the power there. So guys you need to educate yourself and not just come online throwing senseless arguments around. They showed you proof about Ogun and the only response is its because its close to Lagos. Going by that logic, every state around the oil producing states should be booming like crazy
Nice response.

Despite the dubious economy activities in Onitsha and Aba, why is their IGR that low. Why are their able bodied men still leaving their land in droves? It shows, people do not have the purchasing power to sustain those businesses. Translating to lesser taxation of those businesses and low IGR for govt.

Lagos ownership has, can and will never be in question. Any person that is embittered, can relocate back to wherever he or she came from.
