shizzle11: @bolded, granted. But you cannot deny the fact that ethnicity has posed an equality huge threat just as corruption hasYea you are right. Ethnicity/tribalism is also a monstrous issue confronting our dear country. The truth is, ethnicity is only well pronounced among the informed middle class. The poorer of end of the ladder is more concerned and preoccupied with daily livings and basic needs to have time for such, except when caught in the web. The upper end of the ladder comprising the elites politicians army officers careless about such, in as much as they are all eating and assisting each other one way or the other to perpetuate themselves in the corridor of power. Ethnicity threatens the unity of a country, while Corruption threatens the soul of the nation. Corruption magnifies ethnicity. |
kettykin: EFCC should invite Obasanjo to answer question on what he knows about Haliburton and Siemens DealsEFCC that cannot invite common Stella , the wife of 3 husbands, will now invite the "ebora of owu" himself. Their office will just go up in flames ![]() |
shizzle11: Objs outburst is not for love for Nigeria but out of selfishness and personally vendetta.Ignore the messenger, focus on the message. OBJ is not a saint, we all know. The message he is propagating is highly germane. He got us into this mess, we all know that. Even God had to speak to Balaam through a donkey in the bible. Lesson is, ignore the messenger and focus on the message. |
ckkris: Then why are apc people over-heating the polity. Campaign has not been declared by INEC, but the renegade 7 governors, reduced to 5, are now seducing to 2, Amaechi & Kwankwaso, considering that the Afonjo Descendants will not follow Saraki to apc, Marwa doesn't want Nyarko as boss in Adamawa apc, oh, and Shagari isn't leaving the PDP in Sokoto.Bros, this is not about APC PDP npdp pdm apga or LP. This is about corruption being on the loose without restraint in our country and mr president is an active and passive participants at the same time. |
TechWalker007: Remain a toddler then. Your call.IQ is pentium 1. Too outdated and out of touch with reality to be replied. |
shizzle11: LIE! It has always being there, as old as Nigeria. If they are the senior in order of hierarchy, will they go and bring somebody else that is junior just to please other ethnic groups. If there are proven incidences of such, that is when we can cry foul. |
jeddyMay: Corruption is now a normal way in GEJ administration and its becoming alarming. At least it was used against political opponents that were indicted and not the innocent ones. Let GEJ used same on political opponents that are corrupt too. It will show us that he has an idea on how to fight corruption. He that cannot take on political opponents is now the one that will take on friends and allies stealing under his balls. |
TechWalker007: The icing on the cake for childishness.I don't learn from Methuselahs that only have age but lack wisdom knowledge and understanding to grace the age. I will rather remain the kid I am, than grow up to be like you at your old age. When Ribadu was the head of EFCC, tell is the person in this country that was indicted, EFCC could not arrest. Mr Clueless president is corrupt, nothing more nothing less. He lacks the will to fight corruption. |
shizzle11: I strongly disagree with you.Corruption cannot be an offshoot of ethnicity. Corruption preceeds ethnicity. People only use ethnicity to cover up their corruption. If your explanation is to be taken, then corruption should not transcends all our facets o life then. It should only be restricted to Abuja where there are inter-ethnic working relationship. Our states and LGAs should be immuned from it by your explanation. |
TechWalker007: You are actually sounding more like a kid with every post. And you threatening me? lol.Hear yourself Mr. Methuselah, hoodlums prevented a whole country called nigeria with all the forces, both physical and spiritual, from arresting Ibori. The guy must be Amadioha, sango and Ogun at the same time- 3-in-1. Only 5 regular police officers arrested him Dubai. Na wa o. Doesn't that show you mr methuselah that the sitting president either lacks power to fight corruption or he lacks the will to use the power to fight corruption. |
TechWalker007: Again, you sound like a kid.. Mr methuselah hollow head. So corruption knows who is Yoruba or ijaw or hausa or ibibio or Edo. Your theory of federal character confirmed you as dull as methuselah was. Only known for his age and nothing more. So in your state too, federal Character operates too? You are the joke of the millennium Mr Methuselah. |
TechWalker007: You must be a kid right?Oga don't thread the part of abuse. I won't spare you. If you are a jjc here, tone down your kid name calling. Was Ibori arrested within nigeria, Mr. He was arrested in UAE and extradited to Uk at UK's request. If you have another tales by moonlight on how he was arrested , please tell the world or the role the clueless president played in his arrest. |
TechWalker007: At the bolded. Our number 1 problem is the wrong foundation on which the Nigeria is built.Ordinary Nigerians do not give a hoot about ethnicity once they can boast of access to basic needs of life. Those countries you mentioned are corrupt but they are not institutionalized corruption. Their presidents don't go around setting up committees when a national scandal is out in the open. They have strong anti corruption agencies fighting their corruption. I disagree with your ethnicity being our number 1 problem |
shizzle11: Yes I know Obasanjo founded EFCC for the following obvious reasons:Whether EFCC is sham or not, it earned the country international recognition, demonstrated to the world that we are confronting our number 1 problem, made Nigeria to command respect on the world scene, played a major role in our debt being forgiven, assisted in encouraging foreign investors to come into nigeria. That is the gain of anti-corruption agency set up by oBJ that you are calling sham. What has GEJ done to fight corruption, apart from setting up endless committee. Committe setting president. |
TechWalker007: Again you guys are showing your stupidity and hypocrisy.Liar. It was Uk that went after Ibori not your Mr Clueless One. |
I can't believe I voted for this thief -encouraging-thieves of a president. He is nothing but an embarrassment. When you fail to fight corruption, all the gains you have in other areas will be eroded by this monstrous corruption. Corruption is at monumental level in this administration. The president either lacks the will power to fight it or he himself is a major end beneficiary of this looting. Sincerely, I should have rendered my vote void instead of realizing I helped to install this clueless corrupt president on us. iBB introduced corruption, Abacha perfected it, OBJ fought it half heartedly and here we are with Mr. Goodluck Ebele Azikwe Jonathan institutionalizing corruption. We don enter one chance. Ti wa ti ba wa finally. |
Purist: Okay, I retract the 'class' part. But you get what I mean: his personality certainly wasn't the most desirable, but as a professional, you could trust him to get the job done.absolutely right on that. |
coogar: i think it was dangerous play - whether nani meant to kick arbeola or not is irrelevant. it should have been a yellow but one can defend why it should be a red card as well.coogar, it was not anywhere red. it is a yellow. that idi0t coming out to say it was a clear red, just because he is bitter makes him a sissy. he has attitude and commitment, he is a warrior and a leader -- agreed. model professional -- no no no and no. he cannot be qualified with that. |
Purist: He might be a complete ässhole, but you really can't question his class, attitude and commitment to the job.attitude, commitment and leadership -- Yes Class --- N-O. |
coogar: he didn't justify nani's red card - he said united shouldn't have let that incident weigh them down to the point of losing & he was right.he was required for the time when agberos were playing but definitely not in this modern day. is he a leader? yes but a nothing but a bullying leader. he would have been a dictator if he was in politics. |
coogar: he didn't justify nani's red card - he said united shouldn't have let that incident weigh them down to the point of losing & he was right.he clearly said nani's card was a straight red card. i heard it clearly. he lost all my respect for him that day. |
coogar: i am watching it....which nonsense model professional. he is an agbero without class. simple. he thinks being a manager is that easy, well it is easy but being in a successful one is the one that is not easy. he saw how easy it was in his stint at managing a championship team. |
coogar: this keane/vieira documentary is epic.that guy is a bitter guy and it is the bitterness that will eventually ruin him finally. |
TechWalker007: Your reasoning is beclouded with APC propaganda. You have read too much Punch, The Nation, Sahara Reporters, Osun Defender articles.what has apc or the jargons you wrote got to do with the issue on this thread. read on my post on NL, i am not for any party. they are all one and the same. what has changed in the political ideologies of nPDP that APC accepted them into their folds. it clearls states, all our partie lack ideologies, they are basically chop-I-chop parties. i careless about pdp, npdp, pdm, apc, apga, LP, AC, ACN. |
i dont even know what to say. decent performance but a more deadlier team would have taken us to the cleaners. why are we always watching opposition when they are with the ball. our transition before the substitution was slow and there was no urgency towards the last 30mts of the game. hope moyes and his brigade can pick it up from here. i really hope wonderful performance by City to shut Dayokanu's mouth. Another thumping of a bundesliga team by an EPL team. BM are always bossing the other teams in their league but they met a team that matched them at whatever they had in their arsenal -- strength, speed, technical depth, skill, midfirled defense and attack. |
Are we sure, we are playing at OT? |
Grabbing my pop corn and baileys. I will take any result that comes our way. |
all yorubas claiming to be from lagos. aragbesola, former lagos commisioner now state of osun governor. another former lagos commisioner now contesting for governorship in ekiti. the same tribalists that insult igbos. go to igbo villages and see devt. modern houses, roads, light, social amenities, infrastructures. because igbos know their roots to their great great grandfathers' roots. unlike every yoruba that claim to be omo lagosian. so the vast underdeveloped lands from benin to lagos and ilorin to lagos are owned by which people? camerounians? that's why it was very easy for fulanis to take over ilorin from people calling themselves afonjas. went to abeokuta and visited olumo rock. and was told that's the rock the whole inhabitants hid under when they were fighting ibadan people. if not cowardise, what will make able-bodied men hide under a rock for years during a war? and they will come out and start claiming omo lagosian.
Your forefathers do not have any history to tell you apart from the bare chest wrestling match that occur in your market square. If per adventure, they had witnessed war before or their own forefathers had witnessed war , they will not be that stupid to rush into wit one 37year old Oxford brat that is hotheaded. The same idi0t that is the definition of cowardice you are finding meaning to. He dressed up in miniskirt and spag, put on lipstick and mascara and powder and ran to Abidjan to dance azonto with ladies of easy virtue, eating Isi ewu and Ikwuobi and drinking palm wine while your forefathers and mothers were dying like chicken in the world that he started. |
DerideGull: Are you a useless nut? Why would you attempt to equate burglary, Watergate, with innocuous purchase of operational vehicles for the ministry of aviation by NCAA? Believe me, only calibrated fool would attempt to classify NCAA purchase of operational cars as a form of corruption.I am surprised at your miserable pathetic rantings. At your old age, you are yearning dust. Instead of u to be leaving legacy for your children's children. You are here telling us a daylight robbery is buying of operational car. I'm so sorry for whosoever calls a nonentity, a non-value adding commodity to the world like you a father. You are a disgrace to your forefathers, your children and your future generations ought to dissociate themselves from you. When will you ever have shame deludedgull, always jumping from one thread to another like the aimless wanderer that you are, supporting one corruption to the other. I feel sorry for you and my three words to you are: GO AND DIE ![]() |
DerideGull: In USA, there are all kinds of security agents, including FBI, that are better equipped than the so-called EFCC yet the Obama will order White House probe not even governmental probe through Justice Department. Nigerians have logical issues and they suck to high heaven.Oga USA, is this America. Must we do what America is doing. We can as well adopt China's model of tackling corruption. This is Nigeria and stop sitting behind your computer in one hole in America and telling us what is not. Which American president will condone oduahgate. Even the president that tried to cover Watergate up was consumed by it. Mr. President is condoning corruption, that is not debatable in any quarters. You are here telling how barrack Obama is setting up tea and coffee committee on blatant daylight robbery. |
Ngwakwe: Who is incharge of NNPC?GEJ cannot do anything to Shehu Laden except he is calling for war. What happened to Stella. He will set up another investigative committee that will last 2years because the money we are talking about here swallows Stella's money 10ce. That is what you get when you turn your eyes away from corruption. The precedence has been set and it can only continue. GEJ has created an atmosphere for free for all looting. He will continue to be embarrassed by all these putrid stories. |
For all of you still blindly supporting GEJ on corruption issue, I have the following prayers for you: May your wife and daughters and daughters-in-law be wasteful, spendthrift, a disgrace, thieves and light f1ngered like Stella Oduah, Amen. Bankole'd case is in court Farouk's case is in court Where is Stella's case- in mr president's bedroom. He think Nigerians are so daft that they won't bring this up in 2015 and it won't be a major campaign issue? Even the lying Reuben Abati cannot lie his way out of this. Mr president had to set up a committee to investigate for the past 2months whereas taxpayers are being spent on EFCC, ICPC and NP. It is either mr president is blind or he is an active player in the corruption process. We all agree that corruption is a major issue of this country. What effort of Mr President has shown that he is confronting the main issue bedeviling the country? |
