FG should also come.up with new demands and they should include the following: 1. No more molestation of ladies 2. No selling of handouts 3. All classes must be attended 4. Meaningful research with results should be demanded. 5. Students should be given the power to appraise lecturers. 6. Personal demand too that FG will not make public. ![]() |
Abojupupa: We should not be sentimental about issues. If we look at this case dispassionately, We'll realize that ASUU is fighting a just cause.Fighting a just cause is fair. Their asking for salary for months they did not work makes them greedy lots. What is the compensation.for the students that have lost 4months of their lives? They should answer that first. What measures do they have in place to.protect females students from.the devil's incarnates and extra randy ones among them. What will they do about the dullards among them that are busy extorting students over marks and handouts that are online copy and paste and print handouts. They should give accountability of what they have been given before. No matter how little, which meaningful research have they come up.with I'm the last ten years We are not asking them for Yale or Harvard or Cambridge or oxford kind of research. We are asking them for the one that is commensurate to the allocation they were given. Nitel staff over did and now they are irrelevant, phcn staff thought they were untouchable, they are irrelevant now. One day, ASUU will become irrelevant too. Asking for salaries for months they were gallivanting to private universities and sleeping at home is criminal and no sane govt should agree to that. If it is a patriotic strike, every one must pay a price. The govt should pay the price by fulfilling their part of the agreement, the students have already paid their price by losing time and time value of time and the effect in the nearest and foreseeable future, lecturers too should paid the price by not being paid for the 5mths. addictiv: In this Nigeriawho is holding them accountable now. all the billions they have collected before, where is the account? they want more because they NA members are earning stupendous money. As bad as NA members can be, they should also resign from lecturing and join politics if NA salary is their yardstick for demand. If everybody is asking for salary based on NAs salary, inflation would have killed the couintry and Nigeria would have been sold into eternal slavery. |
TeNDuLKaaY: Good move, although I doubt the practicality. If schools resume without lecturers, what do we achieve? Nevertheless ASUU has taken this too far. If they had new requests, why spend three weeks mourning a dead member, wasting the time of students who were patiently waiting for a resolution. Besides why is ASUU and the FG the only parties in negotiation for a deal that would affect state govts, students, parents, other academic bodies, and Nigeraia as a whole.... ASUU don cross boundary. https://www.nairaland.com/1531025/why-should-ASUU-run-lifegovt can decide to make lecturing a contract job and paid on productivity basis. |
the questions that we should ask the lecturers are what is their own compensation to the students that have lost months out of their lives? - apart from molesting female students and extorting the boys. my own take is, the lecturers should first of all sanitise the level of moral decadence among them. it is only in Nigeria dullards in school run to lecturing after graduating because they can never function effectively any where else. I am not saying all lecturers are dullards. please do not get me wrong, but majority of modern day lecturers do no even understand what they are teaching. they are more interested in their pockets ad sleeping with dumbhead female students. the one that tried it with my sister in ilorin, knows what i did to him. i personally called him and dared him to fail my sister. though instead of 1st class, she graduated with 2:1, at least she did not lose her dignity to these wolves parading themselves as lecturers. the question is, dont we have lecturers in NA, as ministers, ambassadors, political posts etc while can they exploit the route of using those to be their lobbyist within the govt. They have been going on strike since 1980s and here they are in 2013 still using the same outdated tactics. the code of conduct of civil service says no-work no-pay. they can not stay at home on vacation for 4months, and lecturing in private universities and still expected to be paid for those months. if the strike is patriotic as they are saying, they should also pay the sacrifice by fore going the payment of the 4months salary because the students have foregone 4 months of their lives to their stupid strike. what value have they added to the world of knowledge. no record breaking research, but they have time for extorting money and sleeping with ladies. ASUU ko ASUN ni. GEJ is right, the strike is more political than what we see. |
They do get married to other tribes. Especially the ones that are not really staying east. I have enough examples of Igbos married to other tribes around me. There is even dearth of guys - responsible guys though - in the country, that one chic will be doing yanga. ![]() |
Oghos1: even d most effective and balanced squad rotation will favour some players and has its downside. D rotation will happen, quite alryt. But it shouldn't be excessive.I prefer the 4-3-1-2 Seems more threatening and effective on paper. My only minus against 4-3-2_1 is the possibility of conflict of roles between Kagawa and Rooney with that formation |
Oghos1: . Not necessarily. Juve plays with this week in week out for 2 seasons in a row now.Juve got away with it in Seria A and they were well beaten in Europe. We cannot even get away with in EPL talkless of Europe. |
coogar: to accommodate the 3 of them, we have to sacrifice a defender(liverpool) or sacrifice width(diamond formation)We will be mauled with 3 at the back especially while playing a top team. Our best bet is the 4-1-2-1-2, with carrick seating in front of the back four and the formation still accommodates our wing play as well as deadly duo of RVP/Rooney and Kagawa's intelligence and brilliance behind the duo. The only minus against this formation is that DM is a faithful disciple of 2 defensive midfielders and the formation cannot accommodate that. |
What formation can actually accommodate Rvp Rooney and Kagawa, with Kagawa playing in the hole, his most natural position? Less tinker with formations a little bit. |
JayKayMaybachz: Oooh!! didn't u see two english clubs do same at moscow ... 08...Just ask him how many times EPL teams have been in final since 2005. |
dayokanu: Are we saying that this nitwit cant tell us the 3 English teams who have qualified after beating their Bundesliga opponents?Bros just go to bed. That was an appalling, embarrassing show by Leverkusen. Even Kano Pillars would have done better at home. The only good teams in BL are BVB and BM. BM buys all the best in the land and foreign imports and BVB hijack all the young talents with potentials. What have they produced from their academy, if they do have any at all? |
