tensor777: Thats a flawed idea as there will be no splitting. Neither does any part of the Federation belong to any tribe. If there is a war theese Federal Assets will simply be fought over with machine gun fire artillery fire and rocket fire. When the smoke clears we will see who really owns what. There won't be any war in fact.
A tribe is very different from a country so I don't know what you are thinking there.
You must be smoking bomb. Go to Kano, or Ibadan or calabar or maiduguri or onitsha and tell them all part of the federation belongs to all the tribes. You will be roasted alive, I can assure you.

So a tribe of almost 50mm people cannot form a nation. You are a sexy joker.
Must breaking up be by violence? Are we that barbaric. Czechoslovakia , Yugoslavia, Russia, etc all broke up without a single gun shot. Scotland is breaking off from Uk, must we tow the line of violence.

If violence is the way, a la goes, we are up for it.

Shine It: Okay oil is no more important to our economy. Now please join with the north and leave us to form different entity, okay?
You are too shallow to be discussed with. Follow international politics and trend and know where the world is heading?

Why do you think US does not like to be in the bad books of the Arab elites - because of oil and the quantum of contracts american coys have in those countries, as well as sales of military hardware to them and because they have the money. The days of their romance with Arab elite is almost over, and America will start calling their bluff.

We cannot join north. We are SW, a homogenous group of people. At best we can take our cousins along itshekiris and Edo and believe, we don't even want that.

Shine It: If Yoruba people are not fools they wouldn't have made Tinubu their leader. Asari earned his crust with what he and other militants achieved for their region. Would you say Tinubu has achieved anything for your region apart from making himself and family very rich.
You made a fool of the Yorubas by your post above.
You are very funny. Tinubu is not a saint but he is better than ibori, odili, alams, ouk etc. at least he invested the stolen money in yorubaland, creating employment and some are making a living from him. Tell me where those aforementioned people have their investments, if not abroad, it will Lagos Abuja or PH.

Apart from that, the yoruba mentality is, out of 10naira you get as allocation or IGR, spend 8naira on the general public, spend 1naira on yourself and keep 1naira in general purse- public coffers for rainy day.

He increased Lagos IGR collection, named a good successor and he is the albatross of pdp in SW. Those are his achievements.

Orlando Owoh: Do you know that that oil you may want to brag about is beginning to experience a drop in sale in the world market because those Nigeria sells it to are no beginning to use alternative sources of energy?
The end of oil is here. OPEC is running from pillar to,post because US is almost being self sufficient in oil production. The only major buyer left will be China, and part of europe. there will be oil glut and prices will drop sharply. This is even the best time to split.

Truckpusher: Why is the South West always fretting each time the ND people talk about a break up?

Why is the North always shouting war whenever the South East wants to secede

Is there anything wrong with a people that wants to go their separate ways and take their own destiny into their own hands no matter how bad you assume it will end ?
You are indeed a truckpusher from dungeon of poverty. What concerns SW with ND. If they like, they can break into pieces, na their headache.

Our agriculture - cocoa, kola nut; oil deposit, bitumen deposit, gold deposit are enough for us. Mind you, the financial centre of sub Saharan Africa will still be residing in Lagos. We still, have untapped tourism industry to leverage on.

Pls the country should split and let everybody go to their countries. The competition to prosper and suRpass peer nations will propel all to succeed.

The major fact we cannot run away from is that, it is the same greedy corrupt elite ruling Nigeria that will dissolve into the different nations and continue ruling from there. The same corrupt practises in our public offices and corporate bodies will still continue. Are we bringing new people from moon to be Niger deltans oduans Biafrans and arewans. Definitely No.

Surely, corruption will be easier to fight then than now for a nation that is courageous enough to fight it. That is the only difference.

Good Lord.
Someone should tell the idi0t that, that was during fergie's dynasty. Even Lobi stars or warri wolves will come at us at OT will so much confidence. That is the level of decadence in Utd now.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by superstar1(m):
Moyes is the arChitect of his own fate. Sacking fergie's backwoods staff was suicidal. Was even worse than not signing quality players. He now brought in Round or round head and funny looking Neville as assistants. What is their pedigree? An average coach leading below par assistants. They can only make him worse. Iron sharpeneth iron.

Fergie contributed to this nonsense by buying those quantity rather than quality. He was at least able to get result with his quantity. Woodward is the joke of a century. There is no need to dwell on him,

If the board wants to redeem the season, they should:

1. Buy at least 2 quality players - DM and AM.
2. Either get Hiddink to assist DM technically in the interim or Fergie should come out of his retirement and let DM understudy him for the rst of the a season.
3. If possible, he should recall the sacked back room staff.

It is too. Obvious that DM has ran out of his technical depth.

The season can only get worse.

elampiro: What is annoying there? That is my observation. How can we allow our opponents to dominate the midfield so comfortably? We hardly challenge opponents with good tackles. Can't you see?
How will they tackle, when the nazi coach would have over trained them, as if they are preparing for a rugby match.

I am sure Old Trafford is the most fancied pitch for all teams now.

Moyes has succeeded in throwing all fergie's record into the thrash bin.

He is all hardwork and no technical depth.

StarBoard: But some of us who queried Moyes' ability actually aren't surprised.
He is the very definition of mediocrity.
Look at his starting line up.
It tells you all about his philosophy. Don't even get me started on his tactics, still playing 4-4-2 and playing guys in positions where they are extremely limited.
He can never lead this club anywhere.
He is as shallow as a puddle after a rainy day and is completely out if his depth.

By the way, what of Lord Rooney?
Starboard let us be fair, he has played all the guys and we are still zilch. Though is a mediocre coach, our players are damn too average too.

Why on earth will welbeck start ahead of Nani. Kagawa was poor. Lukaku gave Vidic a torrid time, Valencia was clueless, fellaini was always jogging around the pitch, evra legs are gone, yes he poses an attacking threat but his recovery is abysmal.the team needs to be overhauled. The coaching staff cannot get Moyes to anywhere. A mediocre coach with a Below par coaching staff Will only continue to spell doom for Utd, if not his extinction, if something is not done urgently.

DM should not be sacked but the team and the coaching staff should be overhauled. If we qualify for CL it will be the 8th wonder of the world.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by superstar1(m): 11:03pm On Dec 04, 2013
Some of said it before that Moyes is too an average coach for a team like Utd. Couple with the fact that we have mediocre players. All thepayers we have clamoured have played and we are on ground zero. Can't even name our first quality eleven.

Martinez is new with his team, and see what he has achieved with the players at his disposal. If city, arsenal,Bayern, barca, Madrid, juve, Chelsea players are better than our players, are everton, southampton, west brom, Cardiff etc players too better than them.

Bottom line is, Moyes is a monumental error, that will destroy all the legacy of fergie over night. All the sponsorship deal we ares signing will soon dry up, as soon as trophies dry up. Players will rather prefer to go to spurs or everton than come to utd.

like I have been saying, fergie, woodward Glazers have their own share of the blame but Moyes is the primary fault.

elampiro: David Moyes believes a 2-2 draw at Tottenham Hotspur has left Manchester United with no margin for error in the Premier League title race.

"I think the way we are at the moment, we have to win all of our games, I feel we've dropped two points. In normal circumstances, coming to Spurs, and it's been a tough game, you'd feel it was a good result.

"It was a tough game and we had to come from behind twice. Thankfully we did that, but we just couldn't get the third goal.

"I think if you'd said to me before Leverkusen and today that we'd win in Germany and draw here you'd say: 'Hey, they are good results and it's not bad'. The disappointment is going back to last week when we drew at Cardiff.

"I'm concerned we're not as close as we'd like to be [to Arsenal] but it's a long season and hopefully we'll be there or thereabouts. There are a lot of games to go. I think the Premier League is tight and we'll try to stay on the shirt-tails and put ourselves in a good position at the start of next year." [Source: Skysports, MUTV]

his job really is to win the ball & play a 5-yard pass to the intelligent users of the ball.

jones is sloppy at everuthing - he barges into opponents like a robot, he doesn't even know what to do with the ball. got lucky with the cross, walker should have done better.

welbeck should make way - he's out of his depth. i am not sure we have anyone that can stop lennon on that left though but nani will create from there.

I have respect for aregbe, as a result of his creativity and the vision that he has. He crossed the Rubicon by merging schools that are not of the same faith together. He needs to be a gentleman enough to realise it and reverse it asap. That is being a gentleman.

Before the advent of this administration, we have had religious peace in every part of SW and I can boldly say that it is extremely rare to see a family without seeing the 2religions being practiced. Mr. Lecturer, tell your ASUU to answer the basic questions. You need 5months salary that you did not work for? Is that done any where in the world Mister Don?

How many female students have you victimised?
How many students have you extorted money from?
Which laudable or world recognised research have we seen from you?

They are already calculating 5 months salaries and the cars they will buy with it, whereas they did not enter the class once.

So, what's your solution for missin results? Some students(undergrad, M.Sc and phds) have nt seen their previous semesters and tests results, what hapens to them again?
I am.not in support of them being sacked but ASUU should be made to.answer those fundamental questions too.

They are not saints that they are trying to portray themselves to be.
Politics › ASUU Must Be Made To Sign Agrement With PTA And NANS by superstar1(op): 2:28am On Nov 29, 2013
The questions we need to ask ASUU first before FG must enter into any meaningful agreement with them are:

1. What has ASUU done about molestation land blackmailing of female students by these lecturers?

2. What have they done about the continuous extortion of students?

3. What have they done on lecturers requesting students must buy material gifts ranging from tyres, to shirts to suits.

4. How accountable are they over the so called meagre grants FG released to.them in the past?

5. What compensation do they have for students that have suffered most during this strike?

FG should also make an agreement between ASUU and PTA/NANS a condition before going into an agreement with them. The conditions should be:

1. ASUU must aggressively fight molestation of female students.

2. Must fight extortion of students.

3. Must fight collection of money for marks.

4. Must track grants and ensure they are judiciously used for worthwhile research

It is high time Nigerians take this opportunity to ask ASUU some soul searching questions. They have no moral right to accuse of FG of being insincere. The rot in their own association is oozing out worms already.

Image123: This is serious. The fellows hailing the government here are either not students r do not know what they are doing as students. The ASUU people hold the lives of thousands of undergraduates, masters, phd students etc. Some of them are with your semester results ranging from current to past four semesters and even more. They know that they can well affrd to hold the government to ransom. They can always get another job. Meanwhile, they cannot be well replaced in six months. If anything, the students should be on ASUU's side in a way.
It should not be hard for the FG to sign an agreement formally r pay the lecturers compared to the national hazard of sacking and employing which is just not feasible. This is not rivers state politics, wike. No thinking person IN NIGERIA imagined that the ASUU would not be paid while they were n strike. It was always a win win for them. It is the government that ought to have foreseen this and acted earlier. Why didn't the so called 13 hour world recors meeting take place one week into the strike?
Spare us those stories.

Where were you when molestation and blackmailing of female students is the order of the day on all campuses.

Where were you when they are always extorting money from students.

Tell us the meaningful research they have made in the last 10years.

They van eat the results they have with them who bloody cares again. They have it for the past 5months, did heaven fall. What is the assurance that the rats have not eaten the results where they kept it.

Nigerians should ask ASUU fundamentals questions on what are they doing on the rot in their association. They are bunch of molesters, extortionists without any moral justification to be holding FG into ransom.

ASUU should tell us, what will be the compensation for the students for the time they have lost.

jelel6: empty treats. GED'S team of advisors have failed him woefully this time. FG'S move is certainly one of a hypocrite. I just pity the people here who consider the duration of the strike, at this junction as paramount than the purpose of it. ASUU is a certified trade union. They will not burge. And rightly so. Egos are at stake, from both sides though. ASUU has got the 3 aces. They should battle the FG. In supreme court need be. ONLY THE TRULY CLEVER PEOPLE WILL(probably) AGREE WITH ME.
