R.I.P. to the 15 UN peacekeepers and 5 Congo troops killed this week in D.R.C. as rebels overran their base, 50 troops also wounded.

UN gave excuse that all UN helicopter gunships have limited night combat capability and so did not fly in darkness to save the UN base in a whole four hour night long attack!!!!!!!!!!! Stupiiiid continent of poor equipment. See nonsensical old fashioned rustily rustic armoured battle vehicles that we use in Congo. Biggest shame. D.R.C. has the best and biggest mineral resources mix in the world. Most military generals in this Africa are useless, if those fools look at this thread's photos they will see what their countries' defence budgets can afford to buy and use to save lives of soldiers in our bases.

As I have said before, in order for an NK ballistic missile to strike its target it has to (assuming launch deep in NK at an Asian target):

1. Pass through THAAD just after take-off (high atmosphere) on the Korean Peninsular
2. Pass through AEGIS mid-flight (upper stratosphere)
3. Pass through THAAD in Japan/Guam on the way down (high atmosphere)
4. Pass through Patriot in the terminal phase

Note: this is excluding American Strategic Defence Initiative (ie: Star-wars) defenses as well as their Ground-Based Midcourse Defense* (GMD) defenses

*Ground-Based Interceptor is basically a missile tipped with the "exoatmospheric kill vehicle", basically a big rocket shoots a small rocket into space, once there it fires its engine and intercepts its target at a speed of 22,000 miles per hour. The Americans have ~30 based in Alaska.
Stop derailing this African photo thread with your American Japan star wars nonsense, you are the worst derailing agent on this forum. You mess up this place all the time! Yet you keep blaming others for the bad things you constantly do deliberately.

In my mind I am imagining SBS commandos storming those auction houses in Libya huh
Your SBS commandos may die cheap in Libya. Why do you want to make 1,000 new fatherless children and widows in navy barracks at Ojo Satellite town just because some 25 to 45 year old educated adult fools intentionally jumped inside lions den in the name of looking for greener pastures? The whole world has been reading Libya disaster since 10 years ago when they first began to rrape our women and rob our men even before Ghadaffi lost control. Those who want to risk their lives for fools can go rescue them. USA refused to rescue its citizens who deliberately walk into danger overseas. Any adult who open eye enter war zone deserves to become war victim or war slave, that is the only way people will learn to use common sense in their adult life. Dont send SBS to go die for fools and navy town come full of widows and fatherless kids.

Why did you and me too not walk into Libya, or we dont like better life in foreign lands? Why do black people like to look for solutions at the tree top of problems and not the root? The root cause of this salve trade is the lack of common sense of our own brothers here now, why blame a president who has myriads of national problems to solve at home?

That's actually the SANDF doctrine, it got Seleka talking "South Africans used powerful weapons" but that's for another day. We've been using the first generation Milkor MGL so it was about time.
My observation: Fancy hi-tech grenade launchers are neither fantastic in combat nor game changer weapons. Nigerian army used them very much against Boko Haram for many years but the weapons did not do well against Toyota anti-aircraft terrorist gunners. Nigeria owns more grenade launchers than any army on this continent and has more real war experience of using grenade launchers more than any other country in modern times COIN war. Every African army in volatile regions must have 800 Toyota truck mounted small anti-aircraft guns in the third photo, if you dont want your military academy brigadier generals to be disgraced by illiterate insurgents. A word is enough for the wise, focus on the message, ignore who the messenger is, or else you suffer for it.

well well from what should i start with this hudge text of emotions .

first, no one told you derail the thread when you post news about a possible contract but you derail the thread about your exaggerated excitement ! you were sure that the sudan had received the su 35 , it turned out that it was wrong! thats not the the problem , the problem is that you already spoke of sukhoi 35 bombing nigeria and all Africa ! and sudan become the first air superpower without knowing even the numbers versions that sudan will get , you show a big ignorance about how the Russian arms contract are done , and your fantasy world and virtual conflicts with your level of military knowledge just made me smile when I read your commentary as many here probably . yes the military section of nairaland is for fan boys and amators , poeple can share some fantasy , som wrong things , nationalism , humor , snow , high self esteem , low self esteem but there is a limit . we should try to keep a correct level .

For morocco my ennemy ? no one here share more info , positif pics about morocco than me . and because of my geographical situation, because i speek arabic french and my relations with the maroccans, I have more serious informations on the contracts with Morocco and even egypt and sudan. nothing to do with jealousy! when I say nothing serious about one of their contracts it is that the Maroccans say it themselves. and I always try to share the infos , opinions that i read on north africans forums web site here in nairaland . and only the serious and neutral info ,.

same for sudan, go on their forums and you will see that the sudanes themselves are not exited by this contract and say lets wait for confirmation , and How ridiculous is it to see in the Sudanese forums, skeptical Sudaneses , who say it is still a political maneuver of omar el bashir ( US sanctions , begging russian help , problem with egypt , yemen , saudis , Iran ect... a hudge headhache subject that i will not talk about here ) , some sudanis said that he will only buy sukhoi 30 in small numbers at best , others they needs economic development more than buying weapons and I find here on this forum an ethiopian or kenya or from another country , super excited ! , speaking of super sudanese air force bombing nigeria and whole africa with his imaginary sukhoi 35 without talking about lack of military knowledge and mistakes !

so if my advice to stay in serious opinions and serious sources bothers you this much and you can t bear the little gentle positif critisim i have made , I will pass my way when I read your comments in the futur wink
You are either a big liar or just a poor reader of simple statements. Quote the page where I personally said Sudan has received su-35. I simply posted published news reports of the delivery that is on many news media, and I also said clearly that if those reports are true, then su-35 makes Sudan next to Egypt in air power on the African continent, that is what I said, go back to page 1522 and see it. Also quote where I said Sudan will bomb other Africans with su-35, I said air superiority, is that same as ground attack? Do you understand simple English?

Yes some people here said I am derailing with Sudan su-35. The same South Africans who derail this thread everyday with deliberate and intentional off topic posts about European and Asian military, and post photos of people on their streets, climate in their towns and cities, same people writing here "Stop posting African countries buying weapons, let us go back to posting photos." So the 'Nairaland rule of law' must be enforced on others after they repeatedly do wrong things everyday and always go free? Judge others, excuse themselves is a bad way of life, and you are pretending you dont see it, anybody who says this hypocrisy is not happening here, he is a hypocrite himself.

If I post what a country wants to buy, it's a pointer for people to hunt for the photos as soon as it is available. I don't see that as derailment.

Who told you I am excited about Sudan? I just post current information and I analysed it a bit, everybody here does that many times, so what did I do that others have not done here?

Face-less unknown Sudanese people speaking from their houses on internet forums are not a superior source of info on Sudan su-35 news, the president of Sudan speaking to Russian government newspaper is superior to all the internet forum bloggers you are using as authority to challenge what official government sources say, yet you want me to dump those credible newspapers and follow your forum sources of unidentified people. Sorry to ask, do you even think at all? I mean no insult.

I told you not to sit at home and judge what Morocco or Sudan will buy or not buy, because you dont control those countries, King of Morocco decides if Morocco will buy s-300 SAM, President of Sudan decides if Sudan buys su-35, that is common sense reasoning which is hard for you to accept, you want to speak as authority for countries you do not rule over as if you own them and control their national budgets.

Posting Morocco's photos here does not make you Morocco's friend, I post Sudan photos here but I dislike Sudan like shiit because of their terrorist agenda and oppression of black Christians, only an ignorant person thinks posting a country's photos means you love that country. The bitter invasion war and killing of thousands of Algerians by Morocco will never be erased from the hearts of Algerians. Same way South African blacks are now in the same military, same houses, same government, same offices, with their former white oppressors, yet the people still live with the bitterness in their hearts because of past atrocities of apartheid. Only a fool thinks human hearts have delete button for erasing past evil.

I dont mean to be hard on you or make a quarrel, but you all must stop trying to control what I can post or not post, if you dont believe the news media source, it's your personal choice. I don't want to fight anybody and I dont want this thread spoiled with arguments that start when some people want to silence the voice of others just because they dont like him, his comments are not interesting to them, or it does not make them sleep well at night.

Thanks. Peace and goodwill from me to you.

so from sudan take delivry of sukhoi 35 last week to Sudan is seeking to buy Russia's advanced Su-30 and Su-35 ! wink and still nothing sure at 100% , wait for the official contract with details , numbers , versions ! then we can talk
Mister, who told you I posted the Sudan weapons comment so I can talk with you? Whether Sudan buys su-35 or not, it's not my personal headache, I post what is available information reported by dozens of news media in a dozen countries. That is credible enough to be posted, especially when the president of Sudan himself has now confirmed it. The su-35 that landed in Sudan can be for evaluation flights inside Sudan's hot desert environment where the jets will serve if they are bought.

Nothing wrong in posting such news, all the hypocrites complaining have been posting more speculative no contract news than this one. Go back pages and see how many people on this thread post stories about aircraft, tanks, ships, drones, etc that a country is seeking to buy, and yet no contract signed. Who among all of you wait for 100% confirmation? What is more confirmed than Sudanese president himself talking to Russian president and a respected Russian government news media RIA announcing results of the meeting? You want Sudan to send you their weapons procurement contract papers by FEDEX courier to your bedroom to that you can believe? You think Sudan cares if you don't believe?

The South Africans yapping nonsense here about Sudan su-35 news are only jealous of a country they regard as inferior now getting air superiority over South Africa. Last time I checked, Sudan's president Omar Bashir humiliated South Africa to their face by shunning their president who does not have courage to challenge Omar Bashir even on South Africa's home soil when Bashir landed there.

For you, its about Morocco or Sudan must not buy jets superior to Algerian su-30, or S-300 missile that only Algeria has and wants nobody else to buy. Go settle your beef with Morocco, if I see news that Morocco wants to buy F-35 stealth jet, I will post it and you cannot stop me, Morocco is your enemy, but to me Morocco is a friend of Nigeria just like Algeria.

You have not pissed me off enough, so I stop short of calling you hypocrite like I called other people here when they display their hypocrisy. If you dont like my comment, just jump over it, but none of you should try dictating to me like dictator Mugabe Zimbabwe, telling me what to post and what not to post. The hypocrites of South Africa that posted snowfall for days on this forum are now telling me to stop posting Sudanese president's public announcement of weapons he asked Russian president to sell to Sudan.

If South African president Zuma announces RSA wants to buy rafale jets or AWACS and air refueling tankers for Gripen tomorrow, contract or no contract, the Southies will not wait for 100% proof of contract, they will post it here from today 2017 till they buy it 2020, they will say their president Zuma is a credible source, and nobody will tell them to stop posting.

To the hypocrites of this thread, my Sudan su-35 comment is derailment, but their snow fall discussion and all the many "OFF TOPIC EXCUSE ME IRRELEVANT PHOTOS" that they load and reload everyday on this thread, are not derailment. You guys are all hypocrites and I think this thread will end one day when some people want to challenge my freedom of speech to post my own comments on Nairaland. I assure you all, when you piss me off too much, this thread will be closed and locked by Nairaland owners.

I will post Sudan and Morocco as much as I like, nobody can stop me. I don't post for anybody to like, I post for anybody who wishes to read, so please go mind your own business.

Now listen up everybody, you must all get used to the arrival of SupremeCourt on this thread, because I am not leaving, not going away, I have come to stay. The earlier you get used me, the better for your blood pressure!

Let the mafia here go to hell, I dont care !!!! None of you guys own Nairaland, it's not your family property!

There is cheap IFV, BTR-80 is like $ 1 million brand new. Confirmed by The President himself — Sudan to buy everything su-30, su-35, ocean minesweeper ships, navy ships with missiles, s-300 long range anti-aircraft SAM.

"From Moscow city, November 25, 2017 (Xinhua China Reporting)—

Sudan is seeking to buy Russia's advanced Su-30 and Su-35 fighters, RIA Novosti news agency reported yesterday Saturday, citing Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir.

The president said Sudanese and Russian officials discussed the possibility of warplane sales earlier this week in Russia's Black Sea resort of Sochi, where he met his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin on Thursday.

"We do not intend to carry out aggression abroad, but we want to protect our country," he told Russian International Information R.I.A, adding that Sudan is also interested in Russia's S-300 air defense system, missile boats and minesweepers". —

Xinhua news China, 2:50 P.M. November 27, 2017

Better we forget assumption of downgraded versions, Sudan's new package is formidable land, sea, air heavy sophisticated weapons. I think they will take position of best armed military in Sub-Saharan Africa with this heavy transformation of Sudan's armed forces 2018.

Newspaper La Tribune: An Egyptian delegation in #Paris to negotiate a new fighters deal for Egypt... and mini #Qatar may anticipate Egypt to sign an additional deal with 12 fighter

Mini Qatar submitted a request to the French side to obtain 12 additional fighter, according to the French Tribune's sources, and the CEO of dassault airlines has made an official visit to Qatar for the possible additional fighter deal. The first deal, which cost 6.3 billion euros, which was signed in may 2015, and the mini will receive 24 fighter.

My friend, JF17 versions NAF will own would have MIG 29 type engines, refuelling capability and a radar at par/ better than SU 35. Getting to Sudan is refuelling over Maiduguri and meeting the aircraft's on the way back.

There are so many factors to capability that you should not be shallow or mechanistic in thinking. Gadhaffi's Libya and Saddam's Iraq were examples of countries with loads of hardware and low capability. Iran, UAE, Nigeria and Jordan are examples of countries starting to emphasize acquisition of holistic capabilities instead of mindless buying of weapons that makes you prey to scams from developed countries.
I see your point. No wonder Iran refused to buy Russian t-90 tanks, they prefer made in Iran tanks that are same level as modernized t-72. Iran also refused to buy downgraded su-30 from Russia, they say it's either the best su-30SM version or su-35, or else no deal. Iran says they are tired of inferior weapons that super powers dump on 3rd world nations, and Iran also wants full local maintenance capability for su-30 or else they will not buy jets that will make them always depend on foreign technical support in time of war and embargo.

With all these points you people are raising here, maybe Sudan will end up with downgraded su-35 that will not be able to beat NAF jf-17 block iiii that has AESA radar, but sha, there is no plan for NAF to buy air refueling, the NAF boys said it costs extra $50 million for air refuelling planes and no need to refuel in air against Boko Haram.

True, NAF is in the hunt for Air Superiority Aircrafts and advanced fighter trainers. The Flankers were the dream now ostensibly is the Migs. Dunno what the defense minister saw or was told by the vendors. On paper they are perhaps the most deadly Russia has to offer but it has not been proven in combat like the flankers. As I've said I smell corruption in the wings. Still with the geo-political provocations we need long range fighters for valuable options to the commander-in-chief.

The JF-17s are just Wow! And when they come in they'd be a great nemesis to all enemies foreign and domestic. Already the PAK Air Chief says the JF-17 Thunder excel the F-16 in three dimensions. So can't wait for Nigeria's first three examples set to arrive.
Sukhoi is desired by we Nigerians, but NAF chose mig. It may not be corruption deal, mig-35 is more advanced than su-35 with AESA radar and potential laser weapon for space age warfare like star wars. Add stealthy design and extended ferry range 3,000KM the mig-35 is a long range killer built to kill NATO stealth jets f-22 Raptor and f-35. A gentleman on this forum said NAF likely chose mig because NAF already has jf-17 using mig jet engines so its easy maintenance, easy training of mechanics, easy spare parts availability. NAF wants air power that is available for war, not just available on internet pictures. Maintenance is key to available jets for long lasting war.

I think NAF will use mig as long shot jet outside Nigeria, because of those rafales, sukhois, migs, mirages flying all around us. The jf-17 will replace f-7 at home against less advanced threats. NAF is advancing far above the jaguar jet days, our guided bombs, guided everything weapons are coming home to TAC Makurdi base 2018. Alpha jets are only 'playing their last world cup appearance mathces' for this country with Boko Haram

Foreign AffairsRe: African Militaries/ Security Services Strictly Photos Only And Videos Thread by SupremeCourt: 12:16am On Nov 24, 2017
NAF defends itself with only f-7 till jf-17 arrival 2018. I think NAF put eyes on cheap $50 million mig-29M2 that Egypt got this year, but now if Sudan news of su-35 is true, NAF will worry about 3,000KM range stealthy jet armed Sudan just 1,000KM away from Nigeria, it can flyover Chad, enter Nigeria, do damage, go back with same fuel tank. I think NAF may change choice from mig-29M2 to the stealthy mig-35 to checkmate a nearby country posing with su-35. Only mig-35 can stop su-35 in Africa apart from Rafale. I hope arms race is not starting, Senegal's navy is negotiating for small fast attack ships with antiship missiles in our Gulf of Guinea, Senegal has found $2 billion gas field offshore and wants to build muscle to guard their golden water. Nobody wants to be pushed robbed like mumu nowadays.

That Taharqa999 guy is high on Sudan brewed ogogoro, most of his data are fake from Wikipedia that people manipulated. Google Sudan on IMF or World Bank database. Sudan is cash broke to the grave, $ 50 billion foreign debt, $ 200 million forex reserve like poor Eritrea. Sudan poverty rate at 50% of population, industrialization at 2% of GDP, the rest is mostly cattle and corn. Since South Sudan broke free from them, no oil to put in the oil refinery they built, so they must envy Nigeria swimming in 200 billion barrels of crude oil, bitumen, condensate and gas combined. His 35 mig-29 is actually only 13 second hand mig-29 on global aviation records. The su-35 jets we are told they got is likely the new loan from Saudi Arabia and Kuwait. Flying sukhoi flanker jets while drinking gari and groundnut. Their navy has been brain dead since Somali pirates reduced them to level below Ijaw speed boat militants. Their skinny army is doing mercenary errand boy for Gulf Arab states in Yemen in exchange for more cash loans to survive. When Nigerian army commandos raid their Sudan air force bases capture the place, their su-35 will land in the hands of SBS and AFSF and surrender. They will regret borrowing money to buy air superiority with a dead navy and mercenary army. Maybe we should leave the guy alone and avoid his impending derailment of the thread.

Federal government Abuja this 2017 released millions of dollars to start new manufacturing factory in Kaduna for more over 100,000 more Beryl rifles. FG is also likely to sign contract for ultra modern Pindad SS2 assault rifles to replace our FN-FAL rifles. AK-47 will remain in use for it's reliability that is best in the world.

Nigeria is changing slowly, we just need to flush out corruption and learn to be patriotic if we want fast fast changes for better.

Boko Haram Attack: 450 Escapee Nigerian Soldiers Hiding In Cameroon grin grin
Stop posting old news of 2014, we are 6 weeks from 2018. Sudan's military could not defeat skinny hungry SPLA rebels for 30 years.

When Nigerian army intelligence corps officers and NIA secret service agents penetrated Sudan like a man penetrates under a woman, all your Sudanese intelligence forces where turned to 3 blind mice, while we sniffed out Boko Haram suspect Aminu Sadiq Ogwuche from under the pants of Sudan nation. Our boys sent intel code encrypted signals back to Abuja DHQ that we have infiltrated Sudan and found our enemy, then Nigeria asked Sudan to extradite Aminu, your Sudan did not have courage to refuse because they know it will end badly for them to step on the lion's tail. When cobra deadly Nigerian special forces spearhead our army to overrun your air force base, all your new su-35 jets will be carried by trailer like Fulani cows to public display at national museum in Onikan street Lagos. Sudan will kneel down beg us till your knees turn rough like that of Sahara camels.

So you are saying:

12 Su-35 > ~50 Su30?
Yes, if su-35 is a dog, then su-30 is a cat

Algeria have 48+ SU30, 12 SU35 on order and 12 SU-34 on order. Minus S300 in service.

Maybe you need to do more research.
Algeria has not not not not ordered any su-35 or su-34, they only looked at it, and the fake order ended up as fake news like NAF ordered 12 su-30 on fakebook report.

S-300 tech is nearly 25 older than su-35 tech, I dont see how that missile will stop Sudanese flanker thats latest tech in Russia. Even if it does, its army missile, does not change what I said that Sudan has next best airforce to Egypt if the su-35 delivery is true.

Maybe you and the 11 goons grin grin that liked your post should use google for free research instead of using facebook grin grin

Many media agencies report Sudan has received su-35. I guess Washington Times is a reliable American new source.
