Kaeboy:Allocation from Ifa? ![]() |
kastonkastrol:So those are standards on how you measure his success? Education? No good reforms were implemented in the education sector under Yar'Adua (I can't remember any) Reduction of pms to 65 naira also increased subsidy expenses Employment? How and where did Yar'Adua create jobs? Stabilize our economy? It was the money that OBJ left in the excess crude account that Yar'Adua was using to fund his government. Cabal? He also created his own cabal with his best friends Ibori and Igbenidion. They held the country hostage when he died. Corruption? Yeah. He was the one who sacked Ribadu and sent him to the classroom to learn "Strategic Studies" Lets not rewrite history, Yar'Adua failed. |
Proffdada:His success in correcting a failed regime? Lol How exactly did he correct the failures? By stealing power and setting us 15 years back? You can't rewrite history with lies my brother. |
Thats about 50 billion naira a year. ![]() Thats too paltry and meager. |
True. The sociopolitical foundation upon which Nigeria rests was built to perpetuate greed and injustice. This is why the country will continue to fail. It will not stop until we reconsider the fundamental problems hindering our progress and growth. |
Gogetta:Nigeria has never been a glorious country. |
aresa:Lol. Was Nigeria ever a glorious country? |
He will be accused of corruption. He wants to learn the hard way. |
BrokenTV:I'd love to but that will be against popular opinion. |
SarahBabyxx:Yar'Adua spent three years and he didn't do well. |
Proffdada:He failed and was overthrown. As Nigerians heard that he has been overthrown, they celebrated. That means he failed. |
kastonkastrol:Lol. Do you Nigerians suffer from amnesia or what? Three years into Yar'Adua's tenure, most Nigerians were already fed-up with the abysmal delivery of his government. They weren't feeling any positive impact. You could tell me the achievements of Yar'Adua for the two and half (or thereabout) years he spent as president. - He couldn't fix our refineries (he reversed their sale to private investors) - He reduced the price of petrol thereby increasing the amount spent on subsidy - His government made no major improvement in the power sector - No major improvement in agriculture - There was no increased funding to the education sector - He reversed certain "good" policies of his predecessor (e.g. The monetization policy) - The standard of living never improved during while he was president - etc. |
Lilimax:Seriously? But what are they looking for in Ebonyi State? Is there anything special in Ebonyi that brings them there? |
PhockPhockMan:Of course he is, but a fúcked up one. |
kastonkastrol:They all wanted to give their best to Nigeria but they failed. Yar'Adua failed. Buhari also failed as military head of state. No excuses. I'm judging from popular opinion. |
And make history as Nigeria's 10th consecutive failed Head of State? https://s22.postimg.org/g7xiii0up/MO3nw44_Yam_MLPd_Aqh4r_GWq_Nf.jpg https://s22.postimg.org/3mx1f307l/IMG_4407.jpg https://s22.postimg.org/kfsar92a9/General_Babangida.jpg https://s22.postimg.org/8udj5srf5/492603_Ernest_Shonekan_jpg32a1c53e86742ce8d75fa7.jpg https://s22.postimg.org/mhss5i09d/abachax.jpg https://s22.postimg.org/mvu453kcx/340489_abubakar300.jpg https://s22.postimg.org/mdyyp8us1/former_President_Olusegun_Obasanjo_360x225.jpg https://s22.postimg.org/f0jkqaaq9/360_yaradua_0506.jpg https://s22.postimg.org/p6s699v4h/Goodluck_Jonathan.jpg |
How can you succeed on a mission where your fathers all failed? Do you reason at all? |
Alams was there? Lol |
We don't need pictures, we need ACTION!!! They are laughing while Nigerians are dying in Borno. ![]() One chance indeed. |
Let the hookers live their lives. |
Phase 1: You didn’t take to account some factors 1. Currency devaluation 2. Interest rates 3. Oil prices These factors affect the cost of subsidy they’re very unstable. Besides, what happens while the probe is going on? Can Buhari assure Nigerians of constant fuel supply while the probe is ongoing? Phase 2: Your plan on the power sector is not fool proof. 1. It will take more than 1 and a half year to fix our transmission infrastructure 2. Osinbajo talked about using embedded and distributive power as a short term fix. The problem with this method is that it’s very expensive. There will be little or no investment because the current tariff rates are very low. Investors will barely be able to get positive returns on their investment. Update your time frame – 2 years and Buhari has spent about 2 trillion on subsidy. Phase 3: Yes, Kerosene subsidy has to go but will Buhari be willing to end subsidy on Kerosene due to his pro-poor stance? Phase4, 5, 6: What has NPDC got to do with your topic? Also remember that these contracts (management contracts) take at least six months to 1 years to be implemented. If you add everything up, its three years plus trillions in subsidy payments. Its a very complex situation that demands careful thought processes and planning but subsidy has to eventually go. |
And Buhari is appointing spokesmen and media secretaries. He also wants to travel abroad for G7 party while he has not appointed even a security man for aso villa. ![]() Meanwhile, GEJ is enjoying himself at the moment. No more Boko Haram wahala, everything is now on Buhari's head. |
Failed president. |
DropShot:Debate with me? Lol |
Kai! He looks like Ambode |
DropShot:Thats an irrelevant question my friend. |
No wonder policemen behave themselves in the north. Na only for south dem dey get strength. |
Nigeria has had 9 consecutive failed presidents(Shagari; Gen. Buhari; Gen. IBB; Shonekan; Gen. Abacha; Gen. Abdusalami; Obasanjo; Yar'Adua; GEJ ![]() Why should Buhari be different? Saying that he will fail is just stating the obvious. Its not out of hatred, pain or jealousy. Its Logic and reason. |
www.nairaland.com/attachments/2471945_23_jpeg86c11968fd3789c7f65b488447106dae Why do Nigerian policemen carry rifles and other assault weapons indiscriminately? |
jpphilips:Of course. Nobody is disputing the fact that our revenues are being mismanaged, everyone knows that. My problem is that Nigerians, even most politicians see Nigeria as an extremely rich country. We are potentially rich (like most countries in Africa) but we are dirt poor at the moment. Honestly, can Nigeria afford to build a 6 billion dollar refinery or any other infrastructure that costs over 6 billion? Yes, we can but not under this current democratic setting. A system where whatever the country earns as foreign exchange is legally distributed to politicians in all tiers of government for spending is a huge waste. Our governmental system promotes mismanagement. Nigeria cannot and will not progress under this current system of government that promotes parasitism, greed and waste. Our population is worthless! Literacy rate in Nigeria is below sixty percent, Life Expectancy is below 55 years, we still rank abysmally low in terms of human development. |
MizMyColi:The odds are perfectly against him. I wish him the best though. |
This man's failure will surely be successful. ![]() |
