I want to say more but we will obviously keep going around in circles. There was a time my pastor analyzed the mystery of the prodigal son for me and i culdnt imagine how i had missed the powerful messages that were embedded into its sentences. From that day, i don't just read the bible, i tend to look beyond the basic illustration and pray to God to help me unlock the mysteries. I have learnt somethng from you, about different type of fastings and i can see how it will work for me but the fasting without food has given me desired results also and i do not intend to disregard it entirely. |
^^^Luke24:44 And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me. cos the old law is connected to the new law(Grace) but not in the way so many people depict it. I didn't say its of no relevance, bt that i don't go strictly by it. John5:46 For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me: for he wrote of me. 47 But if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my words? We cannot just throw the old testament away like that... About tithing, dat is another bone of contention which i didn't even mention, besides, you don't knw about my veiw wen it comes to tithing yet. About God changing, he didn't change, he only fulfilled his promise to send us a saviour that will be wounded for our transgressions and bruised for our iniquities: and thus so many thngs we had to go thru cos of the mistake of Adam and Eve were corrected by him... So that is God being merciful unto us and not changing. |
Fancy you comparing thngs made under law(old testament) to those made under Grace(new testament). I can choose to go over this one after the other but i don't really have time to be typing an epistle that myt not be appreciated. So to narrow it down, pick any three of the new testament contradictions from your list that you really want to know about and i will explain it to you. I don't want to pick for you cos it will seem am answering them cos that's the one i know(cos even thou i don't know everythng about the bible, i know bout the ones you are talkn about here). I don't feel obligated to explain the old testament(whether i understand it or not) cos am a christian and i don't live strictly under them(law) bt i live under Grace, mayb you shuld ask a jew. |
Goshen360: ^ Well, both fasting & hungry are literal & metaphoric. I think our brother Obadiah777 misplaced one for the other or took both as the same. It is the context that tells us what is meant as used.. I agree with you cos obadiah777: WELL WHAT ARE STONES ? THEY ARE WORDS. BIBLE IS NOT WRITTEN IN LITERAL LANGUAGE. SO STONES IS WORDS. AND WHAT WORDS WAS BEEN REFERRED TO ? THE WORD OF GOD. THE SCRIPTURES. THE SCROLLS.From these scriptures, stone doesn't mean the word but literal stones Leveticus 20:2 Again, thou shalt say to the children of Israel, Whosoever he be of the children of Israel, or of the strangers that sojourn in Israel, that giveth any of his seed unto Molech; he shall surely be put to death: the people of the land shall stone him with stones. Leveticus 20:27 A man also or woman that hath a familiar spirit, or that is a wizard, shall surely be put to death: they shall stone them with stones: their blood shall be upon them. Numbers 35:17 And if he smite him with throwing a stone, wherewith he may die, and he die, he is a murderer: the murderer shall surely be put to death. John8:7 So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her. John 8:59 Then took they up stones to cast at him: but Jesus hid himself, and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by. In the word of God are so many mysteries. Mark4:11 And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables: For example, some people will read about how the devil tried to tempt Jesus and see just the literal part of it but there is more cos a mystery there is to realise that the devil was going bout his 3ministeries(to steal, kill and destroy) but that doesn't mean we should disregard the literal part cos it is also important what i tink is dat you unlocked a mystery (and its application will be beneficial depending on the situation) but it doesn't mean it wasn't literal while it was done. Another example are the parables of Jesus, in the stories, the thngs mentioned represents wat they mean, but in the interpretation, they represent thngs different from their original meaning. |
@topic, hmmmmmmmm, interesting... I hav never looked at it from this point of veiw. I just have one question thou, if Jesus' hunger isn't the hunger we tink it is, then why was satan's first approach to tempt him a way of providing for his belle? Matthew 4:2 And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungred. 3 And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread. Luke 4:2 Being forty days tempted of the devil. And in those days he did eat nothing: and when they were ended, he afterward hungered. 3 And the devil said unto him, If thou be the Son of God, command this stone that it be made bread. |
Oh.... You didn't notice it b4 cos there was nice in the post lol I'll just let it rest cos one thng is for certain, you can't value wat you don't respect and vice versa |
Logicboy03: So you are now changing mout to support your christian bro?Hey, don't quote me wrong, i never gave you kudos for perfectly xplaining those verses, the nice there was cos there were some truth in wat you said and i really didn't want to start typing an epistle to tell you where you were getting it wrong and i guess dat was my mistake. If you see my post for what it really is, you wil understand that the scriptures you quoted doesn't really answer the original question and in case you missed it, i quoted another scripture and said you will partially understand it cos of your initial partial understanding of the scriptures you quoted |
alfaman2: Hehe. Endurance? One would think you were getting something shoved up you by a loved one.I just saw the thread and am Lmao at the level of your immaturity. How old are you? 10? I clicked on your profile and from the topics i realised i wasted my time replying dat your topic in the first place cos you are just an attention seeking baby |
striktlymi: You call quoting some passages understanding Sacred scriptures? Okay o! I don hear...Pls don't mind him, even the scripture he quoted wasn't wit a deep understanding in relation to the question askd. The guy was even talking about blasphemy and not persecution. I only said nice write up cos of the basic truth in his reply not cos of his understanding of the scripture, which was really basic relating blasphemy to persecution. What i did was to take wat i needed and i threw the remaining garbage. Yesterday i had to endure one calling God useless and saying all sort of thngs about christ so i tink the blasphemy thng really needs to be addressed cos there are other ways he could hav addressd his topic without blaspheming but did dat cos there seem to be no rule against it on NL |
Logicboy03: How do you explain the op then?Dat response was a nice one, but just becos you are able to understand a few scriptures doesn't mean you know it all. And just to use a scripture am sure you partially understand(whether you believe it or not) so you know Romans8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. So you worked for his good and just made his purpose stronger cos he can take those criticisms with a better understanding now |
alfaman2: No. The bible is full of lies and twists about Satan.Hmmmmmm.... Interesting so why don't you tell us the truth then |
They are so much i want to say right now but you are not worth the epistle so I'll just tell you this.... You didn't criticize him for feeding 5000 people with 5loaves and 2fishes or for bringn the dead to life, but for a curse, reminds me of a vulture looking for carcass. Everybody has a right to his or her own religion, bt if you feel my God is useless and Jesus decieved us, then pray to your god to remove the curse placed on the fig tree and save those animals as well as provide food for others... Shikenah |
alfaman2: And your deep mind? What does it make of it? Does it tell you to follow blindly? You believe the account of the disciples bout hearing him curse the fig tree, yet you obviously don't believe the account of him being the messiah and his great works, you even hav the audacity to call his father useless.... You believe that he is powerful enough to curse the fig tree and for that curse to follow the fig tree to dis present time bt you don't believe he can move mountains into seas... And you tink you have good brain....lmao |
So this is all your shallow mind can make out of the curse on the fig tree... May you not perish cos of lack of knowledge. |

I might not be the richest and certainly not the poorest but I guarantee you that in every day that dawns on you, you would kneel and give the almighty the glory and praise for finding you worthy of having a package like me.. I beat my breast and say this; I would NEVER cheat on you. The day I dare it, something terrible should happen to me. Moreso, I would be the last person on this earth to lay hands on you. Just be rest assured.Wow...... Can i be your future wife? ![]() |
Dear future hubby, last night, i dreamt of your kisses, your lips were so sweet that wen i woke up, i found sugar on my lips ![]() truth is, i will so spoil you, just don't take advantage and treat me badly |

Its not about the giving of the number but the action after dat. Some guys are just too stubborn, they won't take no, and the give me your number thng can get too embarrasing at times. As for me, wen am in the mood i play the am not giving you which can be very stressful and cos annoyn responses while wen am not in the mood to play those games, i just give him the number straight up and tell him its a wrong number wen he calls or i tell him i didn't want to embarass him in public and he shuld save us the stress and not call back except wen i like him and am 'single and free' It works for me cos i knw how to play the wrong num thng or the devoted gf that didn't want to be rude... So sometimes its normal but becomes abnormal wen it gets too much |
Because he is rich ![]() On a more serious note, if a broke man is cheating while he is broke, imagine wat he will do wen he becomes wealthy.
