Okoroawusa: Falz is the son of a privileged lawyer that has been dining with Nigerian elites n politicians for years.
The bloods of dead Nigerians as a result of this carnage he birthed will hunt him to his grave.
So he has time to grant interview to CNN but couldn't control the monster he created.
When the story of #ENDSARS is told no matter how many years from now those with conscience will in their hearts curse you.

Thanks for all the positive contributions. I'm still waiting for any fat person to explain how they became fat, so I can copy what they did (copy & paste LMAO) You do realize that "can make you" and "can help you" are two different things right? Well the things that have plumped me up in the past are chocolates, ice cream and cake, you can try a constant supply of that. You do need to stay away from self prescribed medications though. |

AlphaT1: In many countries around the world, only the pharmacist can own a pharmacy. In the U.S, only few states (e.g Washington) allow non-pharmacists to own a premise, but even at that you still need a pharmacist's license to run it. Infact, no body, no pet, no stone can open the shop if the pharmacist is not around. He makes the crucial business decisions, the owner is just there because he/she brought the capital. Even in lawless Nigeria, you need a pharmacist license to operate a pharmacy. It is impossible to own a pharmacy shop without a superintendent pharmacist doing the registration for you. You equally need a pharmacist manager to own 60% of the shares. Forget the lawlessness you see around, if the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria (PCN) decides to work, many of the so called shops you think just anybody can set up will be shut down and their owners jailed....It is always good to stick to what you know. Don't assume you know. I don't want to go into other details. You finally decided to have a logical argument on the topic. Either way, I already figured there is no winning or compromise with you and I'm not going to be stuck in this loop of one against the other so.... Hasta la vista! |

JIREN01: The pay is based on negotiation so there's no fixed amount; however, it's generally in the range of 900-1.3M/year and above for the license and 150K and above for the salary based on my observation. Your question regarding the short-/long-term benefits is unclear; except for the fact you get paid, which is general for every discipline, I really don't see much benefits. That's cool. |
Career › Re: Pharmacy Vs Nursing: Which Is More Lucrative? by sweettease(f): 8:44am On Sep 08, 2020 |
ILuvBreasts: lol the options are available everyday bro, I'm not a pharm but I'm in a pharmacist group, I see offers daily for registration, the pharms are the one doing Yanga sef because they are better off on their own just the starting capital is the issue sometimes, the council is even making new rules now that retail stores can no longer be owned by non-pharmacists, only by pharms. The business side of pharmacy outweighs Nursing times 10. Say what you know, don't allow your reasoning to be clouded by sentiments Fun fact: midwives in Nigeria are permitted to open their own maternity homes, free lance Nurse anaesthetist with connections can make a couple hundred in a week. Nursing isn't just bedside also. It's good to know the opportunity abounds for pharmacists though. I really want opportunities like this in Nigeria, nursing or not. |

JIREN01: On the partner issue, it's actually one of the most readily available options alongside Medical repping. I've lost count of the offers I got even before finishing NYSC (I had my professional license already) and even till now. It seems a number of rich businessmen are becoming aware of the benefits associated with private community establishments, more reason they're willing to delve into the area. Good to know the tides have changed. Do you mind sharing with us the short/long term benefits/pay of such partnerships to the pharmacist? |
Career › Re: Pharmacy Vs Nursing: Which Is More Lucrative? by sweettease(f): 5:23am On Sep 08, 2020 |
JIREN01: Wow; Impressive, although the chance of actualising a similar feat is quite slim even among your fellow nurses. You are wrong with sounding so certain a similar feat can't be achieved with pharmacy anywhere; I agree it could be quite challenging for a clinical role; however, I have a number of senior colleagues who have gone through similar route for a research/academic role. So it's not so far-fetched as you think. For nurses it is available even without a BSc and just 1 to 2 years experience, paid employment from the start with full benefits and sponsorship. Imagine the education and experience required before you can even come close to having such in pharmacy research. |

ILuvBreasts: so the partnership is for free? With the nigerian situation, you can find pharmacists willing to be associated for a fee, so it is just like another job and he is easily replaceable if the contract is done right in a situation where the non-pharmacist holder controls the fund. Being a partner doesnt mean you have 50% share for contributing no fund to the business. Besides, the option of being a partner isnt even readily available for pharmacists, a lot of them will jump at that opportunity. |

Neobulletzz: True
But remember the license ain’t yours so the owner would always be the decider lowkey because it is his license on the line That's where a contract comes in, he doesnt need to be a major partner and the terms of contract can mean that he can be replaced by another pharmacist. |
Career › Re: Pharmacy Vs Nursing: Which Is More Lucrative? by sweettease(f): 11:15am On Sep 07, 2020 |
onyxo76: I think pharmacy is better, you can set up a pharmacy shop and people will have to pay to get the drugs, patients will never want to pay for nursing care or doctors consulting fee, but for drugs...no argument they must pay. You actually dont need to be a pharmacist to set up a pharmacy, you just have to partner with one. |

Chapman801: all I can say is that we shouldn't use the excuse of going abroad to deceive the innocent op. she should go for nursing if she loves taking care of people and seeing people recover. she should go for pharmacy if she loves outreach and answering to people's needs on time. i rather be a pharmacist than be a nurse because I will be very sound in drugs. medicine is for the prestige and nothing more. how much do nurses earn when they work with government 120k at most and 300k. If you work for like 20years. what is the need of me studying a course if I can't use it in Nigeria. Nigeria has a lot of brain drain in pharmacy. ineptitude of hospitals in purchasing facilities. I won't advice any pharmacist to work in hospitals. The richest health professionals in the world own pharmaceutical industries and make a lot of dollars. Red Rock can't match that. As a young pharmacist you make money early live a balanced life and not always on calls. how much does an intern doctor earn 120k. at most 150k. before you can make 300k and above, it is either you are a consultant 0or work in a multinational company. This means you must have worked for at least 5 years after internship. now calculate this 7 years course plus internship and at least 5years residency making it 13 years excluding strike some time even fifteen years and what about entering a residency another problem. sorry for drifting go for nursing or for pharmacy. you don't really need residency for pharmacy but you need guidance. There other courses like optometry and dentistry and many more. I know all of these because I have friends in the health sector You sound so knowledgeable about what nurses make except it is not entirely accurate. I have friends that make 450-650k in Nigeria as nurses, without their BSc, granted it's in the oil sector and all except one have specialty qualification outside general nursing but I also have another with 12yrs experience that makes 400k/month outside the oil sector, I've come across others that make way more in higher managerial positions, all private sectors. I also got a 150k/month offer as a neonatal intensive care nurse when I had less than 4 years nursing experience in 2017. I dont know the full details of the public sector except for those earning 115-150k and they dont have up to 20yrs experience like you stated so I'm not going to dive into that. As far as traveling abroad goes, it's always good to weigh your options, I didnt even plan to relocate outside the country before or right after school of nursing in 2013 but during the 2016 recession, I had a rethink and God used nursing to bless me. I decided where I wanted to go from a list of US, UK, Republic of Ireland and Canada. The first 2 offered jobs, green card sponsorship and relocation expenses and Ireland offered 2 out of those 3. After I made up my mind on the one I wanted, wrote the required exams and applied for jobs, I got 3 jobs while I was in Nigeria, i chose 1 that offered the most for the shortest contract and good pay. Relocation and green card sponsorship was by the facility, they even offered to sponsor spouse and kids under 21 If I had any, they paid my flight ticket, first 2 months rent, entire visa process (I left the country with an immigrant(green card) visa), gave me a non interest car loan after I got here and helped me settle in. There was no nepotism involved. I'm sure you cant get that with pharmacy anywhere. There is also more job opportunities and career options for nurses home and abroad. Also, you actually dont need to be a pharmacist to set up a pharmacy, you just have to partner with one. |

The evidence is overwhelming, saying something or not, you'll eventually be the enemy now that you know cause when it blows, he will feel the other Nigerian knew and didnt say. Lose the current job, get a new job and underreport your monthly wage by like 50%. Whether they are greedy or not, you have to support them but you also need to look out for yourself cause they are obviously inconsiderate. If you dont make a stand now, this will continue till you move to your husband's house and grow old. This will not stop. So either take a stand or play dumb and act like you have less than 50% of what you have at all times. |
