xharder: olu jacobs is not a yoruba man, he is edo man and does not identify himself as yoruba same as omotola ekinde. Most top actors with yoruba names are usually not pure yorubas if atall they are. they are mostly mid western yorubas (edo).
Where your shop dey for Alaba. I pity all your customers. You can sell ice to an Eskimo. Satan self respects you when it comes to lies.

It hurts one tribe that Desmond Elliot is is not from their side while the other tribe is angry he identified himself with an industry dominated by the former.

We are blessed with tribalistic Southerners. I am also from the South who has found a solution to all these rubbish. I no longer give a damn.

MissMeiya: For those of you asking why she didn't shout, or why no one saw them. Let me educate you. America is not Nigeria.

1. If something bad happens, people DO NOT jump in. People have been killed in broad daylight, and their killer walked away. There is a culture of self-preservation, partly due to the individualistic nature of America, and partly because of general public confidence that the police will do their jobs. If you don't believe me, Google the TV news series "What Would You Do?" The series sets up certain dangerous or shocking scenarios to see if bystanders will intervene. They rarely do. People do not interfere in ongoing crimes. Sadly, they rarely even call the police.

2. Remember that America is not as crowded as Nigeria. ESPECIALLY in the suburbs, where everyone drives. You can literally look down the street for miles and see maybe 5-7 people on the street. Never within hearing or running distance from each other.

I was unfortunate enough to experience the reality of both of these things earlier this year. I screamed for almost an hour before someone finally stopped their car and called the police for me. Luckily I managed to prevent myself from being dragged inside the house. No one came outside their house to help me. And several cars drove past me struggling with my attacker before one finally stopped and came outside to help me.

So if this story doesn't make sense to you, realize that situations like this happen often in America.
Please help me enlighten them. They always view US from the Nigerian Perspective. People mind their business here.

Babymama1: Why should I like a rapeest?
I suspect he is one of those kids nigerian men had in the quest for green card hence the last name
Unfortunately, I do not consider Pennsylvania's penalty for rape weighty enough. With a few thousand dollars the guy will be released. That is if he does not and serve his terms at the same time. See the penalty below

Dreambeat: I don't get you?Was it the exclusive right of Nigerians to work at African stores? huh, that a Ghananian attended to you meant that Nigerians were no more employed at African stores?
Sorry I did not complete that. It is the way the people react at the mention that you are a Nigerian. Other customers quickly get what they want and leave. May be it is because of Ebola. I really don't know or our attitude in diaspora.

The neigbhours say he is calm amnd quiet"
She claimed to have screamed and shouited yet noone heard this noise??
She was dragged from the gas station, noone saw or noticed that?

I may be wrong, but wat if it realy isn't wat it is?maybe a set-up or an overreaction.

Gas stations. Have cctv don't they??

I would love to hear the accused's side of the story before I conclude..
My brother cctv is not everywhere as you think, that is why Police, CIA and FBI still do a lot of investigations. Then most Americans and non citizens who commit crimes look cool. They don't look rough like the area boys we have in Nigeria. They are well fed because food is cheap in America. No matter how poor you are you will get something nice to eat. That is why they deduct Social Security from our salaries. In all many still abuse this privilege.

I visited Brooklyne few days ago to get some stuff from African store. I was attended to by a Ghanaian. Those of you in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania may know what I'm talking about. In fact other Africans are beginning to run from Nigerians with this our attitude. Our numerous churches and mosques are not helping. Parents need to start helping their children at home. Women should stop bringing home bastards for another man to raise and men should be men and stop behaving like boys because of that restless thing between their legs

oboman: The problem people have with Desmond Elliot's political ambition is Lagos State is because he hasn't been true to his identity.....

I never knew he is a Yoruba man until I clicked on this post, which doesn't bode well with Nigerian politics, where identity matters more....

People who are accusing Desmond Elliot are accusing him based on his sudden change of name when he sees fit.... Why hasn't he embraced the ''SOLA'' name in Nollywood? Is it because he is scared most Igbo producers in Nollywood won't pick him for roles?

Is he just a trickster that appears Igbo when he goes into Nollywood and appears Yoruba when he intends to go into Lagos politics? This is why people don't trust him and not because of his mixed heritage...
He feels he won't get a role because he's a Yoruba man which is usually the case in Nollywood

Asoozy: You make valid points. However you seem to have disregarded the fact that none of the aforementioned is seeking political relevance by virtue of their origin. Becoming a house of assembly rep necessitate you to exhibit your indeginous affiliation. Elliot though qualifies by his half Yorubaness has not convinced me that he is Yoruba at heart or in deed. He is more ibo to me and if the few responses on this thread are anything to go by, many didn't even know he was Yoruba to start with. Hence, he may just have lost legitimacy in the eyes if the voters that truly matter. I'm talking about the omo Ekos here.
See as hatred is brewing in your mind that he is Yoruba. You will be shocked to see many Yoruba actors here in US movies everyday. By that time you will go and hang yourself. Who told you guys many don't even know he is Yoruba. Be living in fools' paradise. I'm sure you think Ramsey Noah too is Igbo. Bunch of tribalistic beasts

Jakpon: How is Kwankwaso a tribalistic Governor? Some of you dimwits just open your stinky gob to spew trash. Kwankwaso has non-indigenes in his cabinet can the same be said of your own Governor?
That should tell you the guy does not know the meaning of tribalism. He just sees others use it on nairaland and he felt like feeling 'among'. If he truly knows the meaning he will know his region leads in tribalism than any other region in Nigeria.

Baby mama you are a lady now at least if your men are more economical with the truth I do not expect that from you. You people are too smart to be caught now. I've you forgotten how you parkage those fake items at Alaba and oshodi. I suffered a little in your people's hand when I was in secondary school to the point that I stopped attending any church owned by an Igbo man. The deception portrayed by you people is second to none. You have not stopped there you are still giving us bad names here in the US. PoliticsRe: Aregbesola, Best Performing Governor –ICPC by swezenberg(m): 8:45pm On Sep 05, 2014
Nwanne, there is no doubt in my mind that you are an eddiot.

There are more Igbos in Oshun and Ogun state than those living in the whole of Alaigbo. Without Yolabar land, we Igbos cannot exist.

I am an example, I have shops in Alaba and Awka. The one in Lagos makes 100 times more than the Awka shops, I only keep the Awka shop open for emotional reasons.

Every state in Nigeria is a no mans land under the constitution. Anambra is a FG enclave, which is why Fulanis at the drop of a hat can decide to graze their cattle whenever and wherever they want. If Anambra is not a FG enclave, why dont you declare a Biafra state tomorrow ?

Oshun is a better place to live and do business than any Igbo state, that is for sure.

Anambra adigo mma cheesy cool cool cool

oneeast: ^^^^^You don't always make sense..

What do you use to smoke at times? Now I have listed areas of development indices above for you to rank Oshun your state but you have dodged it. Oshun is a rural rag-tag state with over 98% of its homes built with rust and mud. cheesy cheesy

You cannot find a single Igbo man in yolobarland because Igbos do not live in mud house since entire yolobarland was built 100% with mud and rust..

Go and tell your governor to pull down entire oshun state to pave way for decent development as can be seen in the East..

I am done with this back and forth. This is weekend..bye cheesy
He's not dazed and consumed by bigotry like you. He simply told you the truth and you are barking like a rabid dog. Why not accept the truth for your life to be better for once. Why not allow truth to set your burdened heart free. The way your BP is running over this matter can make others around you mistake you for another ebola patient. Take it easy.

Means nothing.

Raw results from JAMB and WAEC plus unity school admission scores and every measurable and verifiable parameter of education already declared the smart ones and they are from the SS and SE
Same Jamb and WAEC with lots of expos flying around. Then those regions are truly smarter than others.
EducationRe: Best Nigerian Universities For Studying Medicine by swezenberg(m):
I'm glad I graduated from a Federal University of Technology where all we know is Engineering. I am here in USA on a special knowledge class of visa with another junior from same FUTA and one Unilorin graduate supporting ExxonMobil projects and some nuclear power plants but that does not make my school the best in Nigeria. The best school should have a crop of the best brains, best facilities and endless number off accomplished alumni. The teaching hospital should be second to non.

Considering the criteria I listed above, I will give it to no other University than University of Ibadan. This is the only university of medicine in Nigeria that can compete with those in some European countries not America.

How many of you remember Bose. The girl that had a 6" nail bypassing some of her vital brain parts. It was only UCH Ibadan that stood to correct this in the whole of Nigeria even United states gave her a 50:50 chance. Where were all these universities you are shouting their names. Has it also occurred to you that if LUTH or any other teaching hospital can not handle a patient the last resort before the patient is flown out is UCH. Go do your findings well.

I am also shocked to find some delta state schools on that list. I still feel only UI deserve to be on that list. Other schools should for now consider their school of Medicine a vet school.

Riddles

There are these two clubs from London who detest each other so much that their coach share in the frenzy of this hatred too.

There are these two clubs in reds that their rivalry knows no bound. Be it friendlies or competitions they are always holding each other by the heels.

There is this club that sacked its manager for conceding 9- 0 to a famous club in England in two meetings last season. Spent a fortune last season to recruit players and still conceded 3-0 to the same team to make it 12-0 in three meetings.

There is a club with once a great coach in England with lots of league titles that recently decided to make itself the laughing stock today. This club sacked a coach to recruit a coach that will improve on what the previous coach had done.

thoollz: bro wat of arsenal? grin
My apologies to mukina and all Arsenal fans. I'm not too sure of Arsenal. I have been missing their games but they can't be more than 5 out of 10 but for now I give it to Chelsea. The fact is premiership has come off age. It is too early to be jubilant over one or two victories. Arsenal is a fantastic club and if they can be focused and not lose courage they will be a title contender. They've got a die hard attitude but they sometimes let their fans down to smaller teams when it matters most, just like Liverpool did at the end of last season but like I once said it promises to be a season of great twist and thrills.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Tottenham Hotspur Vs Liverpool (0 - 3) On 31st August 2014 by swezenberg(m): 3:28pm On Aug 31, 2014
I still feel Liverpool should have done better. Glad we won but I always measure our performance with our arch rivals chelsea and Mancity because Man U is out for now. We still need a lot of improvement at the attack. The attack needs to convert more chances at least 6 out of 10 because I think Chelsea is currently on 7 out of 10 and Mancity 6 out of 10. We create more chances than these 2 teams but we still average 4 out of 10.
