I don't know if scam or fraud is the word to use but I experienced similar with them.Was supposed to register with AA Rescue for driving sessions only, which I did. We agreed on a weekend session (Saturdays & Sundays). This was all penned down in writing and confirmed, and yes they offered to process my drivers licence for an additional cost.

After making payment of close to 40k, they told me they can only afford to take me classes on Monday mornings only. After agreeing on weekends because I work. I asked them straight up to give me a refund. In fact I was at their office for several hours to make sure I get my refund, even after they tried convincing me of paying back into my account. I ensured I get my refund, and I was well on my rights cos they breached the contract.

Eventually got something better for even a little bit lesser, after which the driving school helped processed my driving licence.

Dearr friends, I was shocked to stumble over this thread which is condeming a reputable driving school like AA Rescue. I learnt driving with AA Rescue, and their standard is second to none as long as professional driving is concerned. AA Rescue does NOT collect money for drivers license from anyone! It is NEVER done and has NEVER Been done. Any staff of AA Rescue who tries such fraudulent scam will be sacked. When I went to learn driving with them, I asked them if they can help me get a driver's license and I was told that they do NOT process driver's license, but they can refer me to someone in the licensing office that can help me with the whole process so it will be easier. And that is exactly what they did. I contacted the officer, he told me the process, I paid, I went for capture and I was sent a message when my license was ready for pickup. AA Rescue Has trained professional drivers for reputable companies and these drivers work for them. go to their websit and see all the reputable companies that outsource drivers from AA Rescue www.aarescuenigeria.com.

NOTE: Before you pay money, GO TO THE AA RESCUE WEBSITE, click on "CONTACT", select your state and you will see the phone number. call the number and you will be directed to an accredited AA RESCUE driving school. They are the best in my opinion. Except you went to a wrong place.

I recommend AA Rescue to anyone who wants to learn driving. They teach you both manual and automatic. they have both theory and practicals. They show you videos on driving lessons and techniques. they teach you basic automobile operation so you can do the regular maintenace on your car without any help and if a problem occurs with the car, you will know where its coming from. They recruit drivers. Yes! they do. They have a pool of drivers on their payroll. Now when companies need drivers, they pick from their pool of drivers and give to theses companies and the companies pay. But you cannot just learn driving today and expect them to just give you a driving job with a reputable company immediately. They will give you a couple of months to strengthen your driving skills first. Then, while you keep in touch, when a driving job comes up, you'll be called and..BOOM!! you have a job. two of my friends curently have been recruited and they have jobs now with a reasonable pay. you can call one of them to confirm...Bob-08034991046. Please dont stigmatize a company when you are just bein misinformed.

My driving skills now are far better than my neighbour who when to learn at one driving school just because it was cheap. He damaged the rear lights of his Toyota camry 2007 model while reversing one morning and I just laughed. he had to ask me to help him repark the car to avoid further possible damages. Now he travelled to lagos, and He sent his wife to learn driving with AA Rescue at their head office in lekki.

Just go to their website and get the contact number of the ompany, call them and they will direct you to a valid branch nearest to you anywhere in Nigeria. - Wishing You Safe Driving.

Controversial media personality, Ifedayo Olarinde, aka Daddy Freeze, has threatened to write the United Kingdom authorities to deport Nigerians en masse if netizens don’t stop dragging him.

The Kano State Police Command has announced that all security agencies in the state would comply with the court order that stopped the reinstatement of Emir Muhammadu Sanusi ll as Emir of Kano.

Speaking at a press briefing at the Bompai command headquarters on Saturday, Commissioner of Police Usaini Gumel said the command and its sister agencies would ensure peace in the state.

The command vowed to deal ruthlessly with anyone trying to cause violence over the emirate tussle in the state.

DAILY NIGERIAN reports that a Federal High Court presided by Justice A.M. Liman had granted an ex-parte order restraining Kano State Government from reinstating Emir Muhammadu Sanusi II.

DAILY NIGERIAN gathered the judge gave the order on Thursday night despite the fact that he is reportedly in the US.

Aminu Bayero, the deposed Emir of Kano, has moved into a palace in Nassarawa LGA after his return to the city in the early hours of Saturday.

Abba Yusuf, the Kano governor, ordered Bayero’s arrest after the monarch arrived in Kano to a hero’s welcome from a horde of his supporters.

A retinue of soldiers who have been providing protection for Bayero before he was dethroned, rode with him from the airport to the palace.

Bayero was replaced as Emir by Muhammadu Sanusi on Friday.

Sanusi was deposed in 2020 after falling out with Abdullahi Ganduje, then governor of the state.

The Kano house of assembly had repealed the 2019 law which was used to oust Sanusi and balkanise the emirate into five jurisdictions.

The new emirate law stipulated the sack of all the Emirs in the jurisdictions and a restoration of the old order — one Emir overseeing all of Kano.

Yusuf had given the sacked Emirs 48 hours to vacate their palaces.

The Emirs of Bichi, Rano, Karaye and Gaya have complied with the directive.

Following the recent directive by the Central Bank of Nigeria, restricting the operations of International Money Transfer Operators to only inbound transfers, IMTOs have decided to halt dollar transfers to Nigerians.

The IMTOs said they will now only pay in naira.

In the recently published document addressed to IMTOs, on January 31, CBN ordered the operators not to facilitate money transfers from Nigeria to other countries.

The apex bank described the new directive as a move to “liberalise the foreign exchange market and ensure transparency.”

Despite a devaluation last year and a decision to float the Naira, the currency has witnessed even more volatility as the CBN attempts to clear forex backlogs worth about $7bn.

The old guidelines dated 6 September 2014 did not provide a clear definition of IMTOs. The definition was implied from the permissible activities that the operators could undertake however, under the New Guidelines, IMTOs are defined as companies approved by the CBN to facilitate the transfer of funds from individuals or entities residing abroad to recipients in Nigeria and the payment of a corresponding sum to a beneficiary through a clearing network to which the IMTO belongs.


However, under the revised guidelines, the IMTO services are now limited to inbound money transfer services alone. This means that IMTOs are only able to provide money transfer or remittance services from a foreign country into Nigeria.

The apex bank asked IMTOs to quote exchange rates for naira payout to beneficiaries based on the prevailing market rates at the nation’s official foreign exchange market.

In a bid to implement the CBN’s directive, One of the approved IMTOs, World Remit, has updated its app for Nigeria with the following instructions: WorldRemit Nigeria News! We can no longer support transfers in USD; only in Naira.

“If you’re about to send money to Nigeria, this is important. The Central Bank of Nigeria has directed that it’s no longer possible for any money transfers to be paid out in USD in Nigeria. So, of course, this includes WorldRemit money transfers.

“But please don’t worry. You can still enjoy the same quick, safe, and affordable World Remit service to Nigeria by sending money in Naira instead,” it stated.

Another operator, Sebdwave said, “In compliance with a recent directive from the Central Bank of Nigeria, we regret to inform you that Sendwave, along with all money transfer operators, is no longer able to support USD transfers to Nigeria. We’d encourage you to switch to sending Naira transfers instead.”
