Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Is This The Right Way of Disengaging Workers from service? by swintec: 2:31pm On Oct 19, 2022
Our company also disengaged us citing the same reason, but gave us 2 months notice. It is a school. At the end of third term they told us that we may not resume by September. That was it. Everyone is to be paid 1 month salary for every year he/she have sarved in the school, up to six years. If you were with them for 10 years you will still be paid six months salary as severance package. This was the promise. The problem now is that nobody has been paid a dime since then. They promise to pay in due course. We don't know how to follow them now it is two months and counting.

what I am going to say is not an excuse or justification, but one of the top reason employers terminate without prior notice is to avoid compromise. some employees cannot handle the new and will resolve to pay back with attitude, sometimes compromise

lhordspy:
Hmm...
Reason why when i noticed yesterday of my wife's probably change in ideology. Probably she was been swayed or bullied into submission by zombiedients miscreants.

My words to her was very clear, concise and precise. I read the word straight from the deepest, purest, and truthful part of my heart. I told her i wont stop her from voting whoever she wants to vote. But let it be known to her, that if she votes Peter obi, on coming back from the polling unit, she should just take the nearest bus back to kaduna, her parents place.

I am not crude, but i just dont know how i will start explaining to my kids in the nearest future

About the important of excelling in their education to attain greater height, when their mum is part of the people that voted a 3rd class graduate
ABOVE a First class graduate with honors.

About voting a failed past governor of a state, whose tenure was marred with gross under-development and massive insecurity But only invested the state fund into a beer business and still ran it into loss.
ABOVE a man that singlehandedly developed lagos and created an excellent economical blueprint even the next governor of Lagos state for the next 25 years will follow.

About voting a liar, a pretender, a falsling fabler who dishes out unrealistic figures and numbers with ease, an extreme religious bigot whose campaign is centred on religious sentimentalism and segregation, going around different churches instigating the christians against muslims.
ABOVE a religion unifier, who married an Ordained pastor of one of the biggest churches in Africa, and single-handedly handpicked the past governor of Lagos state and the present one in which the both are christians.

How will i be able to explain that their mom voted for a man who tribesmen called our country a zoo, called our President a dead man and engage in the act and hobby of throwing deaming words and disgusting/irritating statements at the same country
ABOVE A man who fought for Nigeria and , and almost lost his Life that he had to seek cover abroad for while during the draconian rulership of Abacha. Surely when we recite the national anthem , the part which stated that The labour of our heroes past, Shall never be in vain .. Should also fairly include a certain living TINUBU that passed through hell to keep this country together.

I will find it hard to explain, and i think any reasonable and correct thinking father will find it hard too.

It is more than just an election to me..This is a fight between the right and wrong, the qualified and the pretender, a proven leader and a deceiver.

It is a fight for my conscience....

I love my wife heartedly But
I hate nonsense [wholeheartedly

How would you explain to your kids that you voted for their great grand father who can hardly stand after promising them, that youths are leaders of tomorrow.

@ Poster.
That your wife gave you her ATM card in itself does not mean she is humble. Rather, she trusts your financial decisions. To me her action is based on trust. There are humble wives whose husbands are not that good with finances, sometimes such husband entrust the wife with issues  concerning finances.

A wife who knows her husband will gamble, drink, womanize with her hard earned money and goes ahead to hand it over to him to lavish in the name of humility is only being foolish. There are different ways of handling issues and decisions depending on the peculiarities of each family/home, that a wife doesnt hand over her salary does not mean she is not humble.

Trust or Humble, both seems to mean the same in this circumstance. However, I think it is a rare attitude among our women of these days.

Yes, I know.  I am not comfortable with this at all.  I am constantly scanning for new opportunities.  In fact, when we started dating she was a student. When she got her first job, I was making more money than her. She change her job and was earning more than me. I also changed my job and started earning a little more than her again. Now she got a Federal govt job where she is now.  I am hoping to get on top again. I have undergone some training, I believe God, it will come to pass.

My wife earns more than I do.  At my request my wife handed me her ATM card  and kept her Cheque book. I do all the withdrawing from my own account and hers, for the up keep of the family. Iam financially prudent. She understands. She depends on me for everything she needs. She can withdraw with her cheque but rarely does so.

I was wandering, if there are other women out there that are as humble as my wife.  If you are a lady, can you do this?

Sometimes, mugu fit chop de wise.

@eatme, up your game.
You are lucky to find out the intentions of this guy as you said. It is the best time to quit and leave him cold. Unless you want to tell me that you are a looser seeking revenge. He has not done anything bad to you yet. Though he wants to. Intention is not enough reason for conviction.

If you continue with your plan, then two things are true:
1. You are broke and you are looking for cheap cash
2. You are not a good wife material, you are only angry and wants revenge.

But let me warn you. You might no go free.  There are a lot of kidnapping and assassination going on in Nija. No one knows where they are rooted, may be acts like the one you are contemplating. Continue unless you will never visit home again.  since the guy is loaded as you said, he can track you and kill you even after ten years. He might also meet you there in Yankee via another alternative.

Do you want to live the rest of your life in fear of who is following you?

Leave the guy alone and move on.  This is my candid advise.

I think you are right to be worried. The famous "Country" musician -Dom Williams - sang "Some broken hearts never mend, and some mends are never real". There is hardly any genuine repentance. People sometimes stick to oneanother because of selfish reasons. Most Ladies and pro marriage activists in NL will urge you to go ahead. I will not say you shouldn't. But in retrospect check out how you people got back together. is there any material attachement or was it a genuine forgiveness from both side. Was the matter completly trashed out or did you both decide to drop it half way for the sake of peace? One of you must have to plead guilty for genuine reconcilliation to take place. If you have done this home work very well and you are satisfied with the result, you can go ahead and marry her. On the contrary, if you exercise doubt at any point, then run and never look back.

In all things though, prayer is the master key. True Guidiance comes from God. Goodluck

@Area_boy.
The invention of "radiator coolant" is based on chemistry and engineering knowledge. You can not dispute that. You have to give good and convincing reasons to support your answer. You have to understand what the "radiator coolant" is made of and how it is meant to work. So you need that chem 101 lesson.
You are against information from the internet, yet you are posting your unsubstantiated experience on the internet.  lipsrsealed

SECONDED. As far as this question is concerned you cannot separate the experience (reality) from the chemistry or Engineering principle on which the technology relies. So, understanding the principle makes you understand what is happening  in reality. For instance,  "what makes the water in  some radiators turn brown?" If you don't know the engineering and chemical principle, your answer will be wrong, because with reality or experience you will only be guessing. Haba!!! Don't be afraid to learn This is the type of attitude that drive people from studying mathematics, they just believe that it is difficult to understand even before they try.

chelseabmw:

Abeg,we are not talking about bringing fact from the internet. We are talking about reality. What i highlighted above is true and real.so take it or leave it

As for the people complaining about searching internet, I wonder where on earth they can get more resources than in the internet. You are talking about your own (individual) experience probably with one type of car.  If you know how to search, the internet can give you the experience of many people who use different cars as well as experts in the field.  The companies that manufacture these coolants (Antifreeze) did a lot of research and they have websites where they publish their products and findings. That is a veritable source of knowledge. Search the internet Bro!!! add your own experience, build your knowledge with thorough research. if you are lazy and don't have the time and courage to research don't attack those who do. Do not prevent them from educating others.

its called office politics. its done just to buy favour.

@ aguiyi, your reaction suggest that you indulge in this kind of cheap popularity. Trying to bring someone down is not the best way to rise. Everyone can falter. Although some do it too often to be pardoned. Yet, gossiping is not to be encouraged. If someone dose something wrong, show him love by correcting him in private. Though, there are times you can report, and that is when the action of another is possible of affecting your own credibility or is threatening the corporate existence of your source of livelihood. However, the bottom line is:

You don't have to snuff out someones candle to make your own shine brighter

Just got the price information for a dedicated broadband from starcomms.
setup fees: $7000
Monthly fees : $5000 per month for a 4MBps connection
How can businesses in Nigeria pay such high prices? unbelieveable

How reliable is the source of this info. I think the cost is too high too.  Starcomms is a CDMA network, some of them lease equipments/services; why not try GSM networks like MTN and Glo.

tunde300us:

I dont think u need 4mbps for a voip setup for 15-20 staff ,and if thats what you need i think you should lookout for companies that outsource SAT3 fibre services, and am sure you will get a better deal on that part.If you are not sure how to go about that you can mail me let me see how i can help you with that(tunde300us@gmail.com),cos i know by this time next year all things being equal, internet in Nigeria will be the cheapest in africa.
I wish u all the best .

i have viewed so many of her posts and she seems very intelligent.and i am sure she is.but this one?

Family / Re: Best And Worst Marriage Advices by swintec: 7:46pm On Mar 19, 2010
Best: from a couple who has been married for over 50 years getting to 60 now and still have a very strong marriage.

Question: what has been keeping you both together for this longest time? whats your secrert?

Answer: "secret? there is no secret my dear. just perseverance, endurance, sacrifice, respect and God. you see the problem with so many todays marriage is that they lack this virtues. you have to preserve in marriage. you must make sacrifices in marriage. and you must learn to endure. she continued. respect is  a huge part because you cant have two captains at a wheel at the same time. you MUST learn to respect each other. and you cant forget those three word "i am sorry"

finally, she said the biggest one is GOD. Remember there are three people involved in a marriage. God, you and your spouse. if you take God out of the equation, you will have a hard time balancing things out. NEVER forget him. make him the captain of your marriage. you will encounter many storms and waves of the ocean in your marriage, but with God in charge, you
will NEVER be shaken"

End of discussion . To me this is the summary of this thread, everything about sustaining  a marriage can be seen from the quote above.
Family / Re: Best And Worst Marriage Advices by swintec: 7:15pm On Mar 19, 2010
Best: Don't Oppose your husband especially in front of other people.  If you don't agree with him you can keep quiet or express your opinion calmly when both of you are alone.

Bad: Hide things from him or tell him about it when you have finished taking decision or when the bad part is about to be exposed.

wink cheesy grin Same is applicable to the wife wink cheesy grin

Best: Men don't criticize your wife in public. Don't call her names or lower her self esteem in anyway. Even if she has done something wrong, wait for the appropriate time to scold her   talk to her.

Bad: To keep her on the rail, beat her. When she is off the rail beat her more.
