I love this thread. I hope I'm going to get the right answer here. My 15 bedroom self con is completed and I need estimate for woods to roof it including woods for the ceiling. I am going for PVC. The last time I visited, here is the structure in the pics; Please can someone help me out with the roofing estimate? Below is what a Carpenter gave but to me it seems outrageous; 3x3 x12ft = 47 pcs 2x4 x18ft = 110 pcs 2x4 x12ft = 264 pcs 2x2 x12ft hard = 300 pcs 1x9 x12ft = 36 pcs Nogging (I believe it's 2x2 for ceiling) = 435 pcs PVC = 32 Bundles Loar Angle (yet to know what it is..) = 80 pcs 4" nail = 2 bags 32 nail= 1 and 1/2 bags Can any one here give me another estimate because I don't know whether I am building a Cathedral here. I might decide to give it out lol!

Jumia has finally solve my probs. I have nothing against them except for some delays in response to return issues. For now, I can still do biz with them. Case closed! |
Business / Re: Why Is Jumia.com Wasting My Time And Money? Is This A Scam? by SYLVA247(m): 9:14am On Mar 29, 2015 |
Jumia will always remain jumia. I don't know when they will improve on solving customers needs within 24 or 48 hrs like other sites do. Maybe they forgot they have a lot of competitors. In my last reply to this thread, I added; "I am still waiting for you to raise a voucher for the laptop I just return to you. I've got an email that you've received the return item (Order No;305177836) And it's total purchase value is N74,769.00 with shipping inclusive". Jumia has not been able to do anything as regards to this second issue for over a week now. I have written emails, make several calls, got promises that they will solve my problem. But all proved negative. What is holding you jumia? |
Crime / Re: ‘the Police Arrested Me, Tied Me To Their Van And Shot Me Over N40' by SYLVA247(m): 9:01am On Mar 29, 2015 |
A very big SHAME to Naija police force. When will they change and who authorize them to mount checkpoints again? When they left the roads before, the roads were peaceful, unhindered and smooth. There was no harassment, no incessant shooting and killing. I know they must be hungry and begging then- yes, it's their duty. This time, they are out like frustrated and hungry lion. In one ocassion, a police officer landed a dirty SLAP on a keke driver in Osisioma, junction Aba just for not paying parking fee. Imagine that! The rate at which they molest keke and bus drivers in Aba cannot be explained. I think Police are generally wicked and breakers of the law at all cost. Who Cares? I believe some day, the real power will change hand and the Citizens will exercise full right. Don't know how but change is constant. |

JumiaOnline: So you people know what to do and refused to do it for a very long time now, ehh? Maybe you saw this post and acted quickly. Well, I am glad you finally completed the voucher code today and I have used it for a re-purchase of another item. I am still waiting for you to raise a voucher for the laptop I just return to you. I've got an email that you've received the return item (Order No;305177836) And it's total purchase value is N74,769.00 with shipping inclusive. I hope this is not going to take another 3 weeks if someone there raise an under value voucher code. My candid advice is for jumia to respond to issues quickly before it get out of hand. Just my own little tips lol! |
Business / Why Is Jumia.com Wasting My Time And Money? Is This A Scam? by SYLVA247(m): 1:11am On Mar 21, 2015 |
I have great regards for jumia as the number one online retail outlets since the introduction of Pay On Delivery. But their major PROBLEM is on how to tackle Customer's needs if there occur any problem along the line especially if the item you purchase has problem and you need a replacement. Men just like me you have to wait for decades and all emails and calls,.. to them, you are joking. Here is one of my case which has not been solved for over 2weeks. It's just a copy of my emails to them; To Jumia, This is almost the 5th time I am writing to you on the same matter. I've told you that the voucher code you raised for me for the return of Order No. 306531516 valued at N59,900 is less than what I paid for that order. For clearance purpose, I will still give you a breakdown on how I made my purchase. Initial voucher code you gave to me based on my first return of same item is REFdf91b and is valued at 66, 837 NGN." I hope you are clear here? Ok, see how I used it. 1. I made a purchase of two items with in this order number; 306531516. I returned the DVD to you because it's faulty while the phone was out of stock. This means, I should get back whatever I spent on this order. Now see screen shot of what you charged. me below; See the First Screen Shot; That's a Total of ----------------------- N63,674 with the shipping fee you charged (Please take note of this figure here). I paid nothing on this order because it was deducted from the initial voucher code you gave to me based on the first returned item, . Remember I still have a balance from the initial voucher code right? The balance is simply N66,837 - 63,674 = N3,163. 2. I used the balance in the purchase of a printer in Order Number ; 307531516. See the screen shot of how the payment went below; See the Second Screen Shots That's another total of -------------- N17,232. This what I suppose to pay totally if there was no Voucher code or deduction, but....................... I have to pay N14,069 if the order arrives instead of N17,232. Why? Because the balance of the initial voucher code valued at N3,163 was used this purchase here. i.e N17,232 - N3,163 (Voucher Code Balance) = N14,069. I hope this explanation makes sense to someone here? My Conclusion 1. The Voucher code value of N59,900 you gave to me on the second returned item is lesser than what you collected on the day of purchase. You collected N63,674 from the initial voucher code on this order No; 306531516. And when you want to pay back due one returned item and one item out of stock, you forgot about the Shipping fee you charged. Please make the correction or raise another voucher of N3,774 to make up with what I exactly paid for the this order. 2, Note that I will still request for the balance of N3,163 from the initial voucher code used in the order No; 307531516 (the printer) later on because I have not received it up till now. Why the delay please? Accountability is the keyword. I may not write to you again as regards to this issue but will definitely allow people all over the world to hear my plea and cry out over a week now to you people. I have been writing, calling and trying to clarify this amicably but no one since to do anything. I want the voucher code value you sent to be completed first to N63,674 before I will take next step on how to get the balance. Thanks." I have been writing, calling, pleading to jumia for this particular issue every day but no show. Since they've keep to deaf ear, I think the whole world should hear about this b/c I am not going t stop at nairaland alone except something is done. I am angry because I am their regular customer, so why should they treat me this way? Please has anyone such an experience or suggestion on what to do next here?

Investment / Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by SYLVA247(m): 4:54pm On Nov 09, 2014 |
feelamong:I have followed this thread from the start. I think I am confused at these rates here. Can someone clarify this, For example, in the 91 days tenor of 9.70% rates, does it mean you are going to get 9.70% interest of invested capital in 91 days (3 months) or is it a rate measured per year? i.e assuming I invested N100,000 for 91 days @ 9.70% Does it mean I will receive N9,700 interest and my Principal Cash after 91 days or will it be 9,700/4 = N2,425 since 91days is equal to a quarter. Because when we see such rates, some might believe it's for 91days only. Can some clarify this if I am thinking otherwise please. |
Business / Re: Is Winoptions.com Scam Tell Us If You Withdraw From Them by SYLVA247(m): 10:12pm On Apr 07, 2013 |
If I may ask, do you read the TOS before taking on the Bonus? Most if not all Binary option brokers will not allow you to withdraw if you take the bonus except you trade a certain percentage of the amount of bonus given to you. My research on winoptions is that withdrawal is slow. But if you've taken their bonus, it won't be easy lol! |
Politics / Re: Have You Paid New Electricity Tariff? by SYLVA247(m): 5:28pm On Jul 20, 2012 |
Kobojunkie: Kobojunkie, I didn't say I have bought the prepaid meter but I am thinking to have it since I have someone who had used it before. I believe in giving anything a trial after some research. There is one adage that says; "If a prostitute marries two husbands, she will be able to know which one is the best." Old meter came to me 6k plus. I must lament and find solution to the problem. Shouting here will not help the matter since we are not prepared to fight and die just like the Arabs and get what we want. Fuel crisis came and every Nigerian lamented and what happened......N97 Now is PHCN. Well if you have a better alternative, say it lol, and I will check it out. |
Politics / Re: Have You Paid New Electricity Tariff? by SYLVA247(m): 12:06pm On Jul 19, 2012 |
From my observation I think prepaid meter look ideal and modern. At least I can be able to know if truly the N6850 they charged me will be used in my house per month. My cousin in Awka said it is better and they have used it. Note: one research I found is that people who owe PHCN in their former meter do pay off gradually because it will be pre-configured in your prepaid meter. So don't think you have escaped the old debt. I am talking about those who said the amount they recharged was used up even before the end of the month. Please were you owing in your former bills? Well I am still researching about how the prepaid works. I have one good evidence and still looking for more. |
Politics / Re: Have You Paid New Electricity Tariff? by SYLVA247(m): 9:32am On Jul 16, 2012 |
Where can I get the prepaid meter please. PHCN in Aba, Abia State enjoy cheating and exploiting us. Each flat pays N6900 with or without meter with the new tariff from N3200 estimated bills. Madu atagbuo onwe ya n'ahuhu n'obodo a. I think the end of bad and corrupt leaders is at hand. God please save us. |
Politics / The New Bokoharam "PHCN" by SYLVA247(m): 12:08pm On Jul 10, 2012 |
Killing is not only achieved by the use of bombs, guns and knives. One can also kill by making one depressed and lose of hope as the bible said and I quote: "hope defiled makes the heart sick". Since the beginning of third republic in Nigeria, It was full of empty promises of steady power supply till now. And what do we get? Steady bill increase! Without corresponding power used. Earlier this year was fuel subsidy which landed us to 97 naira per liter, if not more at times of little misunderstanding of IPMAN or Tanker Drivers. That said, it baffles me or some Nigerian too on House agreement to raise PHCN tariff to 50% without any structure or improvement as to quantify current used per home. This is what inhabitants of Aba, Abia State are facing. PHCN meters are no longer used. The PHCN Officials made it mandatory for each flat to have a seperate bill. Whether there is meter or not, bill must come and you must pay or no light. Well it's over 2 years now and their strategy of each flat per bill is working for them. Then came the bokophcn. The 50% increase is now over 90%. A flat billed for N3500 without meter is now N6850. I will post evidence of my July bill here. Is this not killing the poor masses? Let's do some analysis: A flat in Aba is between N12000 and N18000. Now bokophcn is N6850 . That's a total expenses of N18850 to N24850 per month. Let's compare it with the recent minimum wage of around N24000, please Nigerian, what is left in the account of such citizen? Absolutely NOTHING! This is total exploitation of the masses, in fact, it's killing of the highest order. Will Nigeria continue this way? You too have a say to make it a changed place where the citizens will leave and enjoy rather than being frustrated and become hopeless. |

XtremeBase: apology accepted my brother. You know, I was once a victim of the so called marketers. Buying almost the same thing with different title. I tried most but found out some are not working. Then I decided to make it right by creating online reports based on my experience. I Think 90% is free of charge. The 10% is 90% completed because I must make sure I am profiting before giving it out. Why am I saying this, Most marketers don't even practice what they offer. Please pardon me if I am advertising here. Back to China importation. I have tested it. I had about 2 refunds for am order which the supplier refused to ship. It was due to lack of experience then. This prompted me to do this. Pls guys forgive me if you have not got the report yet. I want to update. By tuesday I will try to post a link here where anyone could download. Bear with me. |

Without a mentor, one will become a minor. Maybe you have the whole lot of time and money to browse through the internet, but some don't. This report is free of charge and I have not asked anyone of kobo. Why the scam. If you have a way out suggest it or maybe put your research on writing. Then you will learn to appreciate anyone that puts up a report, no matter how small it looks. Some of those researches turns out to be scam after all. Back to business. Guys did you still need the report? |

Romance / Re: 19 And Ready For Marriage And Desperate by SYLVA247(m): 10:16pm On Jun 14, 2011 |
9jafetish, Marriage is another level in life where you live to study every day. It's full of details that unfolds until death do us part. Once you enter into it, you live to watch one movie with different characters coming out of it. Drink a bottle of fanta today, it taste sweet but when you taste stout, it is bitter. That's typical of Marriage. That you are married does not command respect but what you can offer, rolling on bed excluded. You know what I mean. Do you have to set for yourself the type of man you need? Oh,what a great mistake. All that glitters are not gold. Right now, get a good career, get a little bit mature both in mind and in spirit. At the right time, Mr right will come. |
Romance / Re: Can You Date A Lady/guy With A Very Poor Command Of The English Language? by SYLVA247(m): 9:38pm On Jun 14, 2011 |
In the first place, you can quite agree with me than Englis Language is not and can never be one of the minor not to mention of major criteria for dating. In fact I got confused when people make it one of their priority. The parents that brought them forth may have no knowledge of the Language. Most of the electronics we Nigerians use are from Asia with "ching chong ching" language on it. May be you should tell them to date thier men/women with English. I don't want to talk about Russians, Indians, France etc. Even in Naija, our English is "agwagburu agwagbu" (konkon mixture), cut and nail. Yes on body is perfect as long as English Language is concern. Again, it seems you don't know what you want. If you do , make him/her the way you want. Don't be continually looking for already made. |
