Have you got an amazing writing skill and would like to make some money from it? Can you utilise google effectively for research purposes to gather statistics, resources and facts, then cook it up to make up an article that wows readers?

DO YOU UNDERSTAND PLAGIARISM AND THE LEGAL EFFECTS OF NOT GIVING CREDITS TO RESOURCES OR OUTRIGHTLY COPYING OTHER PEOPLE'S WORK?

I need someone who is good, willing to follow instructions and does not copy and paste (I've got some sophisticated SEO tools to figure out where you copy from so don't waste your time)

Kindly message me on nairaland with some of your work, or at least some proofs? This will be an ongoing writing gig for two extremely good writers.

Hear from you soon.

chidike:

I do agree with you, I have been reading a lot about what's happening with the South Sudanese, and believe it or not I'm sure we're all the same to the Australians...Black. But I would much rather be in a place where there isn't a problem than an area with such issues. I was in Melbourne a few months ago, was even in Footscray and I liked how diverse it was, and I didn't feel unsafe or had any unpleasant encounters, I know the media is blowing it out of proportion to push an agenda, but it is what it is, better to be safe than sorry.

You’re right. Some Australians can differentiate a Sudo from other Africans but unfortunately, the majority of Aussies would stereotype you in Melbourne until you prove to them how different you are. I won’t totally blame them to be honest, those Sudos are not a good face of Africa. My advise to you is to move to Melbourne temporarily to test the water, otherwise move to the Sunshine state,. Good luck bro

@lalasticlala

The Nigerian sporting federation need to start researching and recognising talents especially from low socioeconomic communities. Nigeria is a great country with super talented youths and I believe we could do extremely well in various sports. The ijaw youths, for instance, would do extremely well in water sports if handpicked and properly trained. God bless Nigeria

Dude!! I am still upset! We are nothing but a bonus for Australians and The New Zealanders. It’s such a shame! I also bought a ticket to watch the female boxing and it was nothing but a disappointment. Imagine Nigeria bringing an 18 yo inexperienced boxer to fight a 33 yo Australian boxer with track records. Shittt I had the Nigerian flag in my pocket all through - what a shame. Only the table tennis team made us proud and earned us the first silver medal alongside Chukwuebuka who also earned us a silver medal in the men shot put. I would love to meet that dude!!

Thank God our Para weight lifters earned us Gold and Silver in a row.

You see those basket ball team need to be ashamed of themselves - bunch of losers. They are not good at all! All my kiwi friends have laughed me tire! They have the perfect physique but have zero skills. I personally know some street basket ballers in Nigeria that would easily defeat New Zealand. Go to Mile 2, pick stars and train them. Allowing these big for nothing to represent us is a national disgrace. I love Nigeria

I'm going to tell y'all the most important thing about studying in Australia. It is really expensive to come here and study one stupid course that won't lead to anything!
Most people didn't really do sufficient research before selecting courses and ended up wasting their precious time and money.

Kindly do yourself a favour and Study a course that you're really passionate about and that also guarantees your future here. If you study a valuable course which you're passionate about, getting PR would just be a natural consequence.

Also, they're just reviewing and changing migration policies everyday like boxers, so please do your research to make your journey less depressing.

Thinking you can just marry one oyinbo for paper? Haha.. I'm sorry, na those over 100kilo single mum dey desperate and they'd make your life hell to the extent where you'd consider going back on student visa before the 2years complete. The kind of old women wey wey African guys dey nack for papers is just unbelieveable! And some don't even get it after investing time and "money" abi she no go chop?

Enough story, if you already have appropriate qualifications and work experience it'd be way better to just try your luck with 189/190. When I see qualified engineer with experience still hunting student visa, I can't but cry!

BTW, Social work, IT, Nursing, Engineering and a lot more premium courses would save you from those mental stress. Just know what you're passionate about and go for it.

God bless everyone

I mean both, while studying (part time) and after receiving a Msc from Aussie university in biotech to be precised...

For both Western Australia and Perth, which other places are cool for employment aside Melbourne, Syndney and Brisbane?

Thanks for your response!

I'm not going to give you direction as we all have different perspectives of our environments in terms of opportunities and all. But Western Australia is a really good place to start. Very limited schools here which means the competition isn't as much as Vic,Qld,NSW hence schools are more expensive. Also, the truth of the matter is, if you really want a professional job in Engineering, IT, Accounting etc.. Just go to the bigger cities. Of course, there'd be those fortunate ones.

Yeah my response may not have been the kindest, but it just proves how the thought of accommodating a couple/male sounded to me. And I'm standing by it.

Please you saintly posters should stop quoting me to preach about niceness blah blah blah, I'm not here for any of that. You truly don't know how you'd react in a situation, until you're in that situation.

I've been in a similar situation as yours and I swear, I didn't react like that. Stop being arrogant and disrespectful here, if his/her request made you feel uncomfortable, there ain't no crime in saying NO!
After all, you owe no one nothing! I can bet you've been in a similar situation in the past. I'm not urging you to help anyone but politely say no if you can't.

Dunno if she said it to scare me. Master of Sports management and master of project management. It's a combined course. I'm very hardworking. But paying 15k dollars, and preparing to pay another one after some months is crazy. And there are three semesters. That 15k is just for one. She was saying getting a job is by God's grace. After spending such money? I'd rather open a shop in Lagos with that money or buy land sef. Cus what she said wasn't encouraging at all. And again, after paying my fees, obviously account would have gone empty, would I be asked to show my account balance for them to be sure I'll be able to pay the rest? Cus trust me, after paying this one like this, shinshin no go dey inside account again. I just hope it's going to be worth it. Or do you think I should apply into another school. Are all the schools very expensive?

Really sad! Now I see some pathetic criticism of this man, you low lifers have no balls and I wonder why you can't fcking grow one. Police officers and the military boys are still human being like you and me now tell me why they do not deserve a good time? Because they must spend their entire life protecting you while being unsociable? Y'll should have some damn respect for the dead.

PS! Anyone reading this should learn some basic survival swimming techniques.

symbian03 - boss, you can not be proud of being Nigerian and hesitate telling people you are from Nigeria whenever you get asked smiley. I agree with bellong's views. Tbh, there are countries as corrupt as our motherland. I remember chatting a lady from Sri Lanka the other day, she smiled immediately I told her I'm Nigerian and she said ''don't worry, we both have something in common, a corrupt Government". No need to go into the details of our subsequent convo.

Sadly, on many occasions, the tone of conversation has changed from interested to disinterested whenever ignorant non-Nigerians found out I'm Nigerian. It's actually worse here than it was back in England. I care less about this. I have this little Nigerian flag (with "Nigeria" boldly written on it) on my desk in the Uni. It's a subtle message to my fellow ignorant colleagues to let me be if they can't have a conversation without prejudice.

Overall, the enlightened/sensible non-Nigerians know that the action of one can't be used to judge many as bellong rightly said.

This is not the aim of this thread but I thought I should add a few lines. Cheers.

Your point noted. But it is quite amazing that both you and bellong couldn't deduce my point exactly. Similar scenario of a Nigerian associated with illicit drugs also occurred in Sydney some years back. This is nothing to be proud of as a foreigner and I'll stand on my beliefs no matter how unreasonable I may sound as regards this matter. I'm a Nigerian to the core but what "some" desperate Nigerians do both home and abroad is nothing to be proud of.

Now let's not divert what this thread is meant for.
Cheers

bellong:

Why would the action of one person make you always deny your state of origin?

The guy's action should be condemned. However, I do not see it as standing in the way of others. It is an isolated case, so the action of one can't be used to judge many. It becomes a problem if "Nigerians" are caught on a weekly basis for transporting illicit drugs.

The locals and Kiwis do the deals more especially ICE.

I have never at anytime think twice about it. I am from Nigeria is always the answer.

As quoted in my previous post, I am proudly Nigerian you read that isn't it? A lot of Nigerians make me proud to be one - infact I once told someone I'm Nigerian and the first question she asked was oh! You know Chinua Achebe, and yes! This person is Italian Australian. Most of my friends who aren't even black know that I'm Nigerian - I bet they wouldn't have known that if I didn't tell them. Let's not hide behind a finger, terrible Nigerians such as Jackson would definitely ruin chances for genuine students - that's a fact. Don't even try to justify what he did by bringing in the KIWI drug saga into this matter, drug dealings and usage is a big issue all over the world and I'm aware of that. Unfortunately, Kiwis still have a cleaner sheet than our already soiled image and you know what? You and I will eventually be judged by the deeds of desperate fools such as Jackson "accept that fact or not" and NO, Kiwis don't bring international disgrace to their country as much as we do. These are my opinion "that's if I'm still entitled to one"

Good day e-fam, please, for those who are in Oz already or have the experience, how do I handle my arrival issue as I don't have anyone on ground? I've been trying to secure temporary accommodation on gumtree, easyroommate, flatmate, unilodge etc, and no headway. Abeg, any great suggestion would be welcomed. I'm to arrive Melbourne by 12th of Feb. Thanks.

Keep searching Gumtree bro, if you've got friends in Melbourne, advise them to call landlords on your behalf as it seems to be more effective that way. Best of luck
