Bro, I think if there's anything that is clear from my post, it is that I never defended anyone. I never mentioned the guy nor the $8k, nor BrandU.che in my earlier posts. The issue of money is a delicate matter I don't venture into, especially when I have very little or no information on the matter, so as not to make a poor judgement.

It was a purchase and not a fake offer. This issue is more than six months now, an issue I brought up here myself and explained the situation. If you had browsed about the issue, you would have found out I wasn't the only person who made the mistake, even people on namepros did too which was posted on this thread too.
I won't say a word on this again and I think it's insensitive mentioning his moniker up and down on issue already forgotten.

Boss please modify this post, @2sexycom is a Veteran and someone I revere so much, he inspired my domaining journey as well so you can as well say I am a product of his good work on this thread and the older domaining thread, no matter the issue please refrain from vawulence and all this name calling won't solve anything but will lead to pushing helpful hands away which won't help future newbies. Let's try to solve things amicably sometimes.

I'd have shared the portfolio but for the sake of ethics I don't think it's something the seller would like. And besides, me sef done forget the portfolio link. Except I check browser history.

Nope, I don't think geos there are up to 5%. For a bit, the names there are 'tony-like', mostly xyz domains and his pricing strategy. But, can't really place a finger whether the portfolio is his.

I got a whois request yesterday on one of my domains. Replied how may I help, that am the owner of the domain. He replied today telling me the said domain was his before and its a trademarked domain. Now requesting that I should transfer the domain back to him, if not he will take legal actions against me.

Alright. Not baffled, I explained to him that am a domain investor and I bought the domain when it was available, that I didn't steal the domain from him. I told him for me to take him serious, he have to give me reasonable offer if he wants his domain name back not this one he's telling me. He made an offer of $100. But I told him I can consider it for $500.

He replied with $400 which I accepted and warned him to be more careful next time, that he can even renew 5 years ahead to avoid something like this.

He later paid through Dan. Transaction has been closed.

Symbuul, there’s nothing you can do about that. I have won contests where the end user eventually develops the name into a fully functional site. Infact, I have tons of them. Sometimes, I check those sites, smile and move on. Sometimes, I’m like, see the kind website wey person build with this fine name

In the end, there’s nothing you can do. Collect your money, and move on.
