Apparently some fools are so myopic that they don2 realise that a rector is the same thing as a vice chancellor, it just depends on the country. In some countries the head of the university is called a rector or chancellor while in nigeria they're called vice chancellor and the position of pro chancellor is a largely ceremonial one. This explanation is for the idiots who choose to single this out to mock me. Ghastly demented humans. |
I am not surprised..anything to the contrary and the united states of america who brandishes itself as the greatest lover and respecter of human rights and equality will explain to the world why they have laws discriminating against group. Why would there be discrimination in a country whoes declaration of independence says 'every man is equal under GOD'. |
In a landmark ruling, the united states supreme court has struck down the defense of marraige act which defines a marraige as between a man and a woman. The supreme court has ruled that same sex couples are equal to heterosexual couples and their union shall be respected by law and every privelage that goes with marraige must apply to them....this is a monumental ruling as many sees it as the first step to national same sex marraige legalization in the united states. |
Everybody is entitled to their own view but not their own facts. The comments calling me a lair has been most amusing because i find it hard to see what i'll gain by making up a lie and putting it on a public forum...anyways, if i really did make this up then i am either a very spirited lair or an amazing creative writer, |
ajayioluwatobi: Why are you lieing. Dean @ 30, Why forming all this story just to get comments, go get a life bro.you do realise that dean's are appionted by the rector? You do realise it is an appiontment not a meritious threashold. |
Screwface: A faculty dean at 30? Faculty of Law for that matter.the vice chancellor of my home state university is in his forties. He came out 4th out of the 5 candidate the state government tested for the job and yet he got the job. Mister, i am not a marketing agent so i ain'nt selling anuthing for you to buy. |
I thank the reasonable folks who have and i'm sure will continue giving me touching advice.. As for my dean's age..it is the common perception in the school and our faculty that she is 30 as she looks so young and got her PHD around the age of 26. She might be older but 30 is our estimate. I am sure back in school you folks could walk up to your dean and inquire there age. Sodding!! |
Over a 140 people has views this thread and most did not belive so they recused themselves from commenting and moved on, why can't the rest of you who don't belive move along rather than spewing shambolic nonsense on my thread? This is not rocket science, have something salient to say, do. If not, walk. |
Hello, looking at the time i'm posting this you'll see i've been up all night thinking. i want to seek reasonable and salient advice before i make a monumental decision. Pls help...i am in my second year in the university( for privacy i won'nt disclose name) and the dean of my faculty(law) who is also our legal method lecturer came to me with an offer, she said i should impregnant her and she will make sure i graduate top of my peers and she will pay, i should just call a figure. She is a very hot lady, super intelligent that's why she is a dean at just 30. I don't know why she wants to do it but from her demeanor i guess she thinks herself above men and marraige. I will be turning 18 by my next birthday and i am over 6 feets, i'm very athlectic and i'm currently the best student in my dept. She said these are "some" of the qualities she saw in picking me to father her child. Now this super weird, i feel i am dreaming and i need advice, she has expressly told me not to breath a word to anyone as whatever we decide must be a secret till death so i decided to come here, were no one knows each other. On one hand i am thinking of charging her about a million(too much?) which will be really cool money and the taught of graduating with a first class is so magnificent and finally getting to lay with such an amazinly beautifull lady who every student has a crush on. But then there is something sinister and morally bankrupt about selling my semen, sending a child into the world and never knowing him, such a secret can linger in the heart till death. Can i get some advice? What would you do or advice your kid brother? |
That is not sasha obama. |
No matter what gowon did to preserve our union, lincoln did worse. Is it starving the confedrates(the rebels) including women and children, Hanging, wiping off towns etc...but today he is a national hero. But his heroic image didi'nt appear immediately. It took years and history judged him well. Maybe same will happen with yakubu gowon. |
HNosegbe: So with this analogy of yours, shouldn't "Nigeria" also be given 200 years?i never said nigeria should be given 200 years to unite and move forward. It might not be that long. We just need time before people will stop thinking themeselves northerners and southerners but as nigerians. |
egift: When Lincoln and others secured the union, they the founding fathers set clear principle for the nation. Over the years American leaders expanded on those - rights, inequality, discrination, benefits to the people, etc.abraham lincoln was not a founding father. The united states civil war broke out years after the death of the u.s founding fathers like george washington, alexandar hamlinton, thomas jefferson, etc. Abraham lincoln left a deeply divided america after the civil war but generations of subsequent american leader have manage to unite the nation and and 200 years later today, the u.s rules the world. That is the part nigeria ought follow. Just belive. |
CROWÉ: In case you haven't noticed, its not exactly a happy union.the united states of america fought it's civil war about 40 to 50 years into it's independence and then it was'nt a happy union but about 200 years later, they are the world's superpower. |
Recently, i was in wasington d.c and i visited the lincoln memorial. It was a very moving place and one thing that jumped out at me was a quote on one part of the wall, itLs something like this. "in this temple, and in the heart of all those for whom he saved the union, abraham lincoln lives on" and i taught, we have someone like this in nigeria, who preserved our union during a civil war, yakubu gowon why is he not appreciated, respected or idolized like american do abe lincoln for he preserved our union.

Ghastly! One can never find that disgusting fridge like air condition in my residence. I operate a central cooling system via the celling. Every mordern house should be like that plus the furniture is odious and the carpet is like one used in a mosque. Very boring decor! |
Lovely comments from you all, i am thrilled this made front page. By the way, the large chain pres. Jonathan is wearing on his neck is the official chain symbolizing the office of the grand commander in chief of the federal republic(GCFR). |
Rather than return all the way to abuja, why did'nt they just divert to port harcourt? What a waste of time and jet fuel. |
Her majesty, queen elizabeth ii displaying why she is commander in chief of the armed forces for 16 countries.
|
It is indeed rare to see all these men together considering the bad blood between them: some of them staged coups against one another. It speaks to a sense of maturity...presenting the most exclusive club in nigeria. The presidents club. From left to right: general abdusalam abubakar: chief ernest shonekon, general ibrahim babamgida, chief olusegun obasanjo, president goodluck jonathan, general yakubu gowon, alhaji shehu shagari and general mohammed buhari.

nadia_SA: C MUMU!is this comment the best your coconut upstairs could come up with? |
sweetcheecks: sharrappone has no time for dull simpletons. |
This man is on life support. The south african government is practically forcing him to live because he gives the country a kind of international relevance...just put off the machine and let the man rest in peace, if he is so loved and south africa want to preserve his star power. They should'nt burry him, they should balm his body and display it in a glass case like lenin and the kims of north korea..just according to one of his friends."let him go and rest". |
Mrs jonathan claims she is not in the state to fight the governour but her first engagement on arriving the state was the wedding of one of the anti ameachi lawmakers, she has recieved delegations of known anti ameachi rivers politicians, her security details have turned the governour into second class in his own state. she did'nt pay a courtesy visit to traditional ruler of port harcourt rather it is the father of ameachi's worse enermy and the "supposed" reason he is on suspension from the pdp. Mrs jonathan should just attend her grandpa's funral and return to abuja. Leave politics for your husband. Stop playing with fire. |
Donmams: Mumu. What did they mean by anyone who doesnt support GEJ is a sell out to the north? Park well jarein as much as i am an ameachi supporter, o will not let such incorrectness stand. She did not make that comment. The traditional ruler did. Okay? |
Bensonite: You are wrong on the bolded. Have you forgotten Soberekon for the masses 1991 SDP campaign for the governorship. Back to the topic, they were deceived and if you are familiar with government propangada you know its true. You singled out a few who are not war canoe chiefs but cannot deny the fact the rest are war canoe chiefs. Please get your facts right and don't behave like that Abagworo who thinks he know much about Rivers state but knows no jack.just imagine what you are telling me, ok please, mention on chief on that list and tell me which house he heads. |
I have a friend who lives in benett cart in port harcourt, close to the civic center where mrs jonathan was attending her wedding, he sent me a video and pics of soildeirs beating and taking away some innocent boys for "hanging around the wedding venue". He also told me how he had to pack his car at eastern bye pass and walk all the way to harold wilson drive. He spoke of sorphisticated swat teams he saw just to protect a single lady but when ordinary nigerians are under attack, amatuers police men will guns held together by rubber band are sent in and after little battle, they remove and dispose of their uniform, then run. |
Are these not the idle youths he said he will arrest? Why are they still no the loose? |
Chei. Ameachi has suffered...look a the idiots who call themselves chiefs, non of the m there is even head of a war canoe house, non are even on the amayanabo's cabinet. When did bekinbo sobrekon, a man who has been contesting rivers governorship on every party platform since 1999 become a chief? When did dumo lulu briggs, a kid who lives off his father become a kalabari chief? Even his father O;B lulu briggs is not a titled chief, ha..ha..ha.. Jonathan's men in rivers are really amatuers. |
PDP is gradually imploading. Their time is over..nigeria is about to break the chains that has bound it for a decade and half, PDP to nigeria is like a dress the country has overgrown but it is still being forced to wear it and since the dress has refused to retire peacefull and keep forcing itself into the overgrown body, it will tear. |

texaco1: it isnt a disgrace it is all a game,mr president needs all the help he can get in order to cinch the party ticket, there will be some sacrificial lambs to appease the aggrieved govswhat stupid appeasement? He is being appeasing the hausa and ignoring his own people because he thinks they will always be there for him, if you don't know, there are growing questions in the niger delta about what jonathan has done for his people as president, even some bayelsa chiefs are questioning...one was speaking "jonathan is stupidly wasting the opportunity the niger delta has gotten to hold the presidency, what has been our gain since the start of his presidency?" all these voices will a supressed by paid fools like edwin clark but it is a growing sentiment. |
