Today is a Saturday, and I was charged 66k/sec for the last call that I made. Ever since they where known as Econet, they have always had a problem of communication with customers. You read one thing on their adverts, and you get something else in reality. |
In my own opinion Celtel is one big joke. I successfully migrated to their simply special platform, but now it seems to me like one big rip-off. My friends and family numbers are being charged 66k per second while weekend calls cost the same. I migrated cause i thought Celtel will have a weekend advantage. It is now apparent that their off-peak call do not apply throughout the weekend. Let me stick with my GLO contract line for now. MTN use to be the stingy network, now Celtel has has successfully dethroned them. |
Graphcard is way too expensive. Their charges are too exorbitant for the ordinary user to sustain. It also does not make sense for Nigerians, since the card can only be loaded with dollars. The loading fee is about N154 to a dollar and it costs about N3500 to activate your card. This is a stark comparison to Interswitch, which is issued free-of-charge by all participating banks, coupled with just a 1.5% transaction fee. I think Nigerian merchants should liaise with Interswitch to begin the card-to-card transfer feature. This will go a long way in helping small businesses accept interswitch payment, since most payment solutions similar to Interswitch abroad charge next to nothing for card-to-card transfers. |
Don’t even bother trying to convince your clients about this. Even among top internet nations like the United States, this domain extension is unpopular. Think about it yourself, how many .ws websites do you visit? |
He did not mention the .com.ng domains. He’s actually saying .ng, which means Nigerians will soon be able to register www.yourname.ng. |
You can try the “forgot password” option. However, this option will not work if you did not set your email address as the default contact email of Cpanel. The last option will be to contact your web host and ask them to reset your password. |
Yes! The present market leader is Interswitch. |
I guess you are ignorant of what you are actually promoting. Naira2u has folded up for a while now, even though there website remains up. |
Interswitch works only with the asp platform. Most Nigerian Websites do not support asp scripting, since Nigerians prefer Linux. How do you intend to address this? Please, cut the chase and tell us what it will cost. Your oblique approach is not helping matters. |
Does their off-peak period still start at 10pm? If so, this price hype is absolute nonsense. It means you pay 66kobo/sec to call celtel lines for most of the day. The hundred naira migration charge, in my own opinion is a rip-off. MTN and GLO succeeded in migrating all their customers for free, so what's celtel's excuse. |
If it belongs to an NGO, it might be a better idea to employ the services of a professional Web Developer. By the tone of your post, it sounds as if you want to make use of Yahoo Site Builder. If you do, the end product (the website) will be very poor. |

People do not appreciate anything free. You can rest assured that it will be abused. |
You can open an account with them if you want to know what stone age banking is like. |
@naijacutee It’s more or less like the Nigerian version of Visa and Mastercard. Interswitch issues you a physical card which you can use to withdraw from any of their ATM Machines Nationwide. It can also be used for online payments, so you can pay for products and services in Nigeria right now from the comfort of your home. The coolest part about interswitch is that they have a working relationship with most Nigeria Banks, so any payment you make is deducted from your bank account in realtime. Quite a number of websites are already accepting Interswitch. Sites like: Buyright.biz Prepaidnigeria.com Rechargenigeria.com Shopforless.com |
I will like to know more. What's their website address? |
There are a handful of free web hosting providers on the internet. But there is usually a catch. They will display Banner and pop-up adverts on your site. Furthermore, they do not support PHP, CGI, SQL and other advance scripting languages. No visitor to your website will take you seriously when they realize you are on a free server. You can visit the following sites for free Hosting: www.netfirms.com/free www.freewebs.com www.fateback.com However, if you are ready to part with just N1000 per year for a 20MB professional hosting plan. You can give us a try. Syskay Systems www.syskay.com |

The immense advantages of e-gold by far outweighs it’s risks and drawbacks. Once the right security precaution is taken, there is no problem with e-gold. The e-gold means of sending money, in my own view is unrivaled. There are websites that e-gold can be purchased using Credit Card, Bank Transfer, Check, etc. Some websites sell e-gold with commissions as little as 5%, this means a $100 purchase for example will cost the sender about $105 or slightly more to purchase. By the time the $100 is sent, e-gold charges will reduce it to about $99. The receiver of the fund will now contact any e-gold exchanger in Nigeria. Many exchangers can buy for as high are 140 Naira or higher per e-gold Dollar. When we examine the scenario above, a financial obligation of $105 translates to over 13,000 Naira when sent with e-gold to Nigeria. However, one has to take serious precautions to avoid the undesirable. It is imperative to carry out these transaction with outfits that have a good reputation, whether when purchasing abroad or exchanging e-gold here in Nigeria. Here are 4 Major Steps to Secure your Computer when Using E-gold: 1. Use an Up to Date Anti-virus, preferable Norton. 2. Scan your computer Regularly. You can set your anti-virus to run virus scans automatically. 3. Make use of the Mozilla Firefox browser. Almost all malicious e-gold scripts are developed to work with Internet Explorer. 4. Avoid all Autosurf and HYIP Websites. Most of them are laden with insidious scripts that attempt to load unto your hard drive whenever you visit them. |

Your stats and revelations are so staggering! But why are you giving away vital information so freely? What is the philosophy behind your charitable action? |
E-gold is a good idea but it\'s scarcity is a major impediment to it’s success in Nigeria. |
The best Online Payment Solution in Nigeria at Present is Interswitch. They have issued millions of Debit Cards so far. |
One cannot help but wonder why many US Websites Block Nigerian IPs. They have only succeeded in serving the interest of folks in the proxy server business. |
