dchalice: Please house,and in particular those with interview experience i need to know urgently if there is a problem with laminated documents cos some of my documents are laminated...my interview is in may.thanks.

There is no problem once they can see through the laminated document. cos i also have my HND cert laminated and there was no issue. all the best

Gentiger: Thanks Taatus. I deliberately avoided commenting on her matter because there are plethora of cases on this forum of those who were denied for failing to heed this warning. For the up tenth time, you can't add now anyone who existed during your eDV application but was exempted for whatsoever reason. If you do, you will be denied visa. No amount of prayers or faith can save you. That will be tantamount to stupidity. Cindybella, take note.

yea ma bro... i nearly ignored them as well but it was a heart-feeling to see someone been mislead... but i would advice that next time do your best not to be silent on such issues cos u are one of the prominent members who have helped a lot of people in this forum including me. all the same i wish she listens to wisdom

a citizen can file for spouse, children, parents and siblings. u can.... www.uscis.gov

Someone should please tell this lady 'CINDYBELLA' on this forum that those guys trying to advice her to get married and add her child for the interview are nothing but real ignorant who wont keep their ignorant knowledge to themselves but rather use it to distract prospective peoples opportunities. i would advice u to e.mail your local US embassy with your english result. i dont know your country. so try a mail to your local embassy cos they are in the best position to give the accurate response. all i know is that a pass in every subject is good to go with

I would advice people not to stop praying about this dv issues because GOD says we should ask and it shall be given.
secondly we should be sincere and present the right documents. i think these are giving especially ghanaians smooth interview due to the legacy our predecessors left at the embassy. so i would encourage everyone to keep this in shape so that our followers can also enjoy from this. thanks and GOD bless us all. adzovia: i got the shock of my life when i went to pick the mail today and i saw my name on one of the envelopes. i was expecting my ssn since i was told to wait for 21 days. i opened the envelope low and behold it is my green card. people my permanent residence card came even before my ssn. i am soo happy. the battle is over i am now officially a permanent resident with proof

MY INTERVIEW EXPERIENCE YESTERDAY....

Got to the embassy @ Cantonments around 6.40am. Passed through the security gate and got seated around 7.15am. Made payment, presented my documents and went for finger print and waited for my name to be called. So i was called to window 4 for my interview.
ME: Raised my right hand and swore to speak the truth and signed the ds form originally sent to kcc
CO: Did you pay in cash?
ME: Yes
CO: did u pay in dollars or in Ghana cedis?
ME: Ghana cedis
CO: Were u given change?
ME: No, paid the exact amount (660.00 cedis)
Co: are u married
Me: no
co: have u ever been married
me: no
co: do u have kids?
me: no
co: when did u complete sss
me: 2005
co: where did u go after sss
me: polytechnic for HND
co: when did u complete?
me: 2009
co: are u sure u graduated?
me: yes i did

i saw this nice young white lady picking a piece of blue sheet and my heart was full of joy. she then said am giving you this visa ticket to come back here on Friday for the visa. HALLELUJAH!!!!!!!!!she congratulated me and i responded thank you.
i joyfully vanished from that place to avoid her saying get back for another question. hahaha
Fellow mates i must confess that there is no secrete than prayers through the name JESUS. present the right documents needed and be very sincere. that is it. GOD will handle the rest
i even made some mistakes in the online registration like the day and month of birth, and my place of birth as well. but was never asked anything about it though i was ready to speak the truth cos the correction was made on the ds form sent to kcc.....The GREAT GOD i serve is wonderful...

I therefore witnessed no one being denied of DV visa except one guy i met. The reason being that the picture he used for the original registration online is different from his real face........ serious...... hhhmmmm

Is no problem at all.the most important thing is must be valid for more than 6 months at the time of interview. Cos I know people still secure visas with old passport from embassies once its not expired. But u can still go for change at a faster rate if u prefer.

well my interview was i like most of the house members it was so brief i was asked only three quastions
1,are u marryed
2,do u have kids and
3,to which state are u intended to go
that was it,then the nice young american ledy said CONGRADULATION YOUR VISA IS APPROVED...
btw guys before the interview i was told applicants b/n age group 18 and 25 have to sign a paper which says with in one month of my arrival i have to register to the military and take the course,in order to an applicant b/n the age group to be interviewed he/she have to sign the form,actually i wNted to join the military for some time so it was not a problem for me but there were some ppl who were not happy with that,i dont know if it is applied for nigeria but info is power...i love u all,God bless u all,may the almighty God be with u all...

Please fellow mates help me out with this. am an HND cert holder but on my DS form sent to KCC i made SSS as my highest education. will this create a problem for me in case i present my HND cert? what do u suggest i say in case am asked about it at the interview? thanks and hope to hear back from you. my interview is schedule for jan 2013
