The NOISEMAKING everywhere is honestly becoming damn anonying.... |
wirinet: Devaluation has not started yet, by the time the new realities hit Nigeria, we would be exchanging $1 for N500. The naira is being kept high by CBN pumping excess dollars into the market, sanusi could do that because of available slush of dollars from high oil receipts with dollars selling above $100. But with the production of shale gas, the US is set to compete with OPEC in oil production. So OPEC would lose control of oul prices and oil prices would come spiraling down. That would affect the availability of dollars to the CBN, leading to supply shortage.I think you should keep your mouth SHUT if you do not know what you are talking about...... |
dabrake: abeg comot police from this cute post of yours. Thanks in advance.I meant that d Army helped d Police to build their Barracks/Training Schools.....by d way, wetin Police do you |
I just dont know what to say.... |
@OP, thnk you much for this damn ENLIGHTENING thread. Honestly, I hv always viewed Ebonyi in a not too positive light.... Let me just sit back now and LEARN......... By d way, I love d huge Agric Potential you highlighted, esp d Rice Fields/Mills |
IGBO-SON:Really? Are you sure about this Bros??... |
Goddex: Ebonyi is ignorantly underrated even here on nairaland. The capital Abakaliki is a lot better than most state capitals I have been to. Their expansive rice mill complex is a wonder to behold. The quality of private buildings dotting the city is another site attraction. They have good dual carriageways criss-crossing the entire city. The last time I drove past there, the Federal Government was completing dualisation of the Spera-in-due heading Ezamgbo and also the Spera-in-due heading Ogoja axis.Really? Why have I always viewed the State in a not too edifying light then?? Very interesting, in deed... |
homerac7: if only one can peep into what secrets their minds hold....even hell will freeze from fear.Abi o....it is even terrifying just thinking about it, lol |
karl max: Displaying the robot before newsmen, Mr Oshoniyi said the equipment would be presented to the public as soon as it is ready, adding that the UAV, the first in Africa, was a product of the transformation agenda of the Goodluck Jonathan’s administration in attaining higher pedestal in military aviation and defence related technology.Really?? |
Am reali IMPRESSED at d way d 3 Armed Services- Army, Navy and Airforce- are NOW looking inwards and providing Solutions to their needs in stead of completely relying on imports like it used to be. From 1st Ship (Navy) to 1st UAV/drone (Airforce) to 1st Armored Carrier (Army), etc. They are repairing their own Barracks with such speed (as well as those of other Sister services like d Police when called upon by d C-in-C), building State of d Art Military Hospitals and Diagnostic centres, Digitizing Military operations, Opening up new Training areas and centres, etc. They can now be said to be PROFESSIONALISM.. I was very proud of what d Army displayed as various Solutions to their needs on their last Army Day Parade in Abuja- from d Sophisticated like Armored Carrier to the rather mordane like a Field Kitchen and Hospital unit. I rememba d President and Commander-in-Chief himself commending them profusely..... Kudos to d Leaders, Officials and Men of d Nigeria Armed Forces |
Good.... |
adino: After the pastor was schemed out of latest things in town, ditto the crying activists. I laff in revelationI join you laugh, my Bruv... |
@OP, this is d same question that I hv been asking myself for the longest time.... |
Great thread... |
. |
manny4life: You're saying this same thing he's saying only differently. His post is explaining how inept OBJ's administration was, it did not take Obj 8 years to privatize the ports, it was completed in few months, no longer than 18months. If Obj used same swift action - privatization or govt, this project would have been completed in record time even before Yaradua. The point here is GEJ started the rehabilitation agenda, actualized it and putting it to work.Very well said... |
awodman: You failed to provide how long it took to construct what you call "development"... |
malele: “MyWe know that, O jare, Mr Odumakin. Pastor Tunde Bakare already told us that a few months ago, when he famously called d loud-mouthed HYPOCRITES (esp d Tinubu-led ACN chaps ) 'PROGRESSIVE ROGUES'. Little wonda the Pastor is less talkative about politics these days- he loathes many of d people that wants to join in to take Power just as much, if not more than, d very people he wants to drive out of power...... The HYPOCRISY of ACN PROPAGANDISTS slowly (or rather, make that 'fastly')beginning to catch up with them. |
awodman: It disclosed that the next service to be introduced in theThis is more like it.... Kudos to d NRC guys |
Another Good one... Shebi, it was cos of what they called 'initial capacity issues' that made d people who released the 'Report' that @Gbawe posted yterday to simply dismiss all d work going on in d Rails sector? As if Capacity Maximization is immediately attained whilst still in d beginning of revamping a previously DEAD infrastructure?? After GEJ recommissioned d Lagos Intercity train Service in 2011, it started with just 1 train per day; and then move to 6 per day; then 12 and today, 18 train service ferry about 30,000 persons Every Single Day. That is how it usuali happens anywhere. This same Lagos-Kano Train Service started 7 months ago with just a Single train each week; then it became 2, and now 3. Eventuali, it wud become at least 7 train Service each week ferrying both PASSENGERS and CARGOES, just as it was more than 20 years ago b4 previous Govts killed it. That is what is called PROGRESS- bit by bit, as long as one is working and moving in the right direction.... Eventuali, according to d Govt's 25 years Railways Intermodal Strategy, this Older narrow guage wud be used to ferry MOSTLY Cargoes/Goods; whilst the Modern Rail Guages currently unda construction by this Govt (as well as many others whose Feasibility Studies is currently been undataken), wud be used MOSTLY to ferry Passengers. Again, that is how PROGRESS is defined... |
gboss4sure: This one don pass the ACN rented crowd, they don't know whether to tag it a lie or not.Hehehehehehehe.... I tell you Bros. They are as confused as hell. Anytin they do or say will be held against them in d court of... |
homerac7: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO...!!!What is dis ijiot making NOISE over? This is a good development. I bliv All of us wish that d Centre becomes leaner (though still relatively Strong) while more Resources and Responsibilities go to the Constituent parts; and d fact, that disputes bw Tiers of Govt are resolved in such a constitutional and amicable manner as d above case, is a huge positive reflection of the extent of our deepening Democracy.. |

Smone shld plz respond to @playmode... Just to set d record straight |
taharqa2: Lord have mercy!! Just see 'report'... I read tru d whole tin and for those sectors they 'evaluated', they actuali pointed out and agreed with the improvements (only cos they had to) but immediately 'found' another stu.pid reason to dismiss it. For in stance, after calling d improvements in d Airports 'cosmetic', they went ahead to commend it yet dismissed same with d bizarre reason that Govt had not solved 'capacity issues' ie d No of persons using d Airport! How do you judge a Govt UNDERTAKING serious improvements in a previously DEAD infrastructure (which you just grudgingly acknowleged and commended) and still dismiss those improvements only just cos 'people had not yet started to use the infrastructure with is still in d process of improvement, in full?'. What sort of logic is that? They also did same thing with d Rail sector: acknowledged the improvements there, yet dismissing same cos according to them 'd Govt report did state how many goods and persons were been lifted by d Rehabilitated Railways'!!They used exactly d same 'methology' in Every other Sector they 'evaluated': agree and even highlight d improvements/projects d Govt presented in d report, but dismissing same with a sillly reason...... This was not an Evaluation Report; but a hacket job with PREDETERMINED objectives. Full stop@jmain, thank you much for a great job at dissecting d 'report', and explaining d points I was trying to make here better than I did. I am unable to contribute fully today, as has been d case for more than a week cos am having sm trouble with my computer BUT I will find a contingency plan soon..... |
nedu2000: Really pathetic 7 yrs for a crime dat he didn't commit!PATHETIC and sad, in deed. These category of persons, that hv been unjustly kept in Prisons as Awaiting Trials, should be able to take d Govt to court and obtain HEFTY Compensation from Govt for keeping them in prison and wasting parts of their lives... |
Signing... I can't even begin to describe how DISGUSTING d whole thing is |
pek: if NO then you are not a Nigerian!I have NEVER taken nor given. Am I not Nigerian?? |
scipher: The rubbish we elected as president... I just lost all my respect for him after he signed that 'child bride' bill to law...What 'child bride bill' did he sign? IGNORAMUS |
oshyno: This is hw I want politics to be played. Political parties irrespective of their divides coming together to make things work. Not some dimwits sabotaging everything in order to use it during campaign.Exactly.....@topic, good development |
Lol..@playmode, you hv just shot yrself in d leg by those SPECIFIC questions you asked. Very, very wrong move... |
