Gbawe: This is more than just dumbness alone. It is also sheer malevolence and lack of grace towards others. The sort that makes some happy to disengage their brain to believe anything negative said about others however patently senseless such is.

Fashola developed this model?? So he 'developed' it and others are now stealing d model, abi? Lawd have mercy!! Have you ever heard of d IPP serving, I bliv, d 3 Arms Zone and environs in Abuja, designd by Prof Nnaji's company? Do you know when its construction started and how long ago it started operations? PoliticsRe: Pro-amaechi Protesters Plan Rally In Abuja Today by taharqa2:
Sources told the Nigerian Tribune that the protesters would be coming from Popular Northern state capitals including Kano, Kaduna, Sokoto and Bauchi
Interesting!! Am sure these NORTHERNERS coming to 'protest' for Ameachi do not have anything bothering them in their own states for which to protest. They obviously want d 'best' for Rivers State, since all is already well with their States and region. They are Kind, very kind. Altrustic. They are Activists, Freedom fighters and of course, 'Progressives'....

PoliticsRe: FG Generates 21,000 Jobs With SURE-P – Minister by taharqa2: 11:29am On Jul 14, 2013
4 Play: OP doing his job as a paid political hack. I disagree with the premise that the Govt should solve the unemployment problem by providing jobs directly.

Let's just for the sake of argument accept your claim, that there are 50 million unemployed, which you most likely plucked out of thin air. Do you want the FG to provide jobs for them? How many do you think the FG can afford to employ?

Lets take a scenario where the Govt employs these people on an average wage of $1000 per annum, 160,000 Naira per year. This will cost the FG $50bn, more than the total annual budget. The Govt can only try and create an enabling environment for businesses to grow and employ people.
I agree with you too. This is actuali my Philosophy: Govt shld focus on creating the Environment for Job creation rather than trying to create them herself. But I believe d thinking of d Govt is that whilst it is trying to create this Environment (by what it is presently doing in Power, Agric, Roads, Rails, WaterInland ways, Ports, Industry, providing funding tru such bodies as BOI, Intervention Funds, attracting FDIs, etc), it still feels it is its duty to provide some TEMPORARY jobs in other to mitigate the suffering of sm vulnerable people, as d Environment it is trying to grow matures...... Not my best scenario still, but one can undastad the Urge

ARES: 25k job for a graduate with certificationshuh
Our leaders are heartless.... Some ppl will come here and say it is better than nothing, forgetting that u have to pay transportation to get to work, u have to buy food as u cant go back home at break time to eat house food, u have to dress to work.
I dont even want to include personal stuff that u will need to do for ur self.
What is worth doing is worth doing well.
They brought out a front to justify increment in fuel price.
We may not all be PHD holders but common, it is not that hard to see through the veil
Learn to know what you are saying b4 actuali saying them in public! This particular scheme is actuali not targeted at 'graduates with certificates'; YOUWIN and d GES- two other job creation programme that are also Working- are d ones realli targeted at those category of persons..
PoliticsRe: Reconcile With PDP Or Defect - Afenifere To Amaechi by taharqa2:
Tintinix: "It is not possible for five out of 32 people to say they want to remove the Speaker of the state House of Assembly. That is totally wrong. But the truth must be told; Governor Amaechi should be told the whole truth.

“We think he is the cause of some of these crises. If he wants to defect to the opposition, let him do so. He cannot continue to use the platform of PDP to hold the party to ransom and think there will be no crisis. Most of the people who are supporting him from the opposition will not tolerate this kind behaviour from any of their members.”
Who does not know that d 2 main 'Opposition parties' we have today are a Congregation of MEGA HYPOCRITES??.... Just Ask Opeyemi Bamidele what he is presently going tru today in ACN just cos he wants to take advantage of his DEMOCRATIC RIGHT to contest d Governorship seat with Fayemi?? Yet, these same ACN HYPOCRITES wud spend all d time in d world poking their fingers and pontificating over THE SAME tin with another party!!!

Fresh Air noni
lol.... Imagine Tinubu and Buhari as 'Democrats'!! The 'wrongest' combination possible, at least in that department..... ACN Ekiti chapter just accussed Fasehun and Opeyemi Bamidele of 'working with outside forces to destroy d SW' just cos they are insisting on d RIGHT of Bamidele to contest against Fayemi in d Governorship race. They are about to EXPEL him as I speak...

chidindufrank: This is a proof that not every Nigerian has the soft mind to swallow media jargons and insults in the manner our amiable president GEJ does. GEJ allowed everyone to be talking but a man who owns AIT couldn't do so. Another plus for GEJ. Fresh air 2015 fresh water continua
Bless you. And that is one of d clearest sign of a Great Leader: the ability to let go of things and swallow some, regardless of how personali distasteful it is....... Although, there is a little problem here: such 'freedom' usuali gives false confidence to all manner of Riff-raffs and COWARDS, making the loudest peeps in d market square!! Although, there is one of d unfortunate 'perks' of Democracy....

PoliticsRe: Soldiers Guard First lady's business premise In Bayelsa by taharqa2:
Here we go again, with another sillly PROPAGANDA from d stables of ACN (ala, APC) and d Media houses within its pockets/control. A 'story' filled with Lies, Half-truths, Distortions and all-out Propaganda tru and tru...... By d way, d Opposition shld quit been d COWARDS that they are, attacking a man they desparantly want to take power from (the MAIN reason for all the efforts) tru indirect means; attacking him tru: his wife, 'Ameachi', who (or who did not) receive him in a foreign country, what shirt or hat he is putting on, how he shaked his guests yesterday, how many times he eats in a day, and other sillly things, etc etc. Be MAN enough to attack him directly, on more serious rather than frivolious things. I mean, if this GEJ is so 'terrible' as they tell us, it should be pretty easy to bring up many REAL things he had done in other to discredit him. Abi?? This method only goes that far...

PoliticsRe: Will Loans From China Salvage Nigeria's Infrastructural Deficits? by taharqa2: 6:51pm On Jul 13, 2013
Truckpusher: Why is it that you guys find it very hard to get proper information abt a particular thing as it concerns your country before making presumptuous assumptions.

GEJ didn't go to China and came back with bag full of loaned cash from China ,he went to China to seal a deal that would ensure that China builds agreed number of infrastructures across the country that is worth 3 billion dollars and this infrastructural loan would be delivered in phases with the first value of infrastructure to be built estimated at 1 billion dollar and an interest rate 3%.

I would commend GEJ for this great leap ,this is what leaders of countries ridden corruption does because at the end of the day everything would be accounted for else Nigeria can decide to default on their contractual obligations. This policy ensures that the money does end up in the hands of bureaucrats, politicians and other unscrupulous elements in the corridors of power
.

Finally ,always get to know what is going on and stop using catchy headlines to fool gullible lazy Nigerians that solely relies on 'them say' without asking the obvious questions.
God bless.....

danikik7: This is an apperant neo colonialism. The financing will come from China and the contractors and materials are from China , only for Nigerians to used and dumped as slaves in their land....What's our gain ?
Even if d Chinese like let them bring ALL their contractors, All d Materials, provide All d labour needed, as long as the provide d Finance and complete d INFRASTRUCTURAL projects they were asked to do, I don't give a hoot. Rememba this: SEEK YEA 1ST THE INFRASTRUCTURE, AND EVERY OTHER THING (in d Economy) MAY BE ADDED TO YOU.... This is the Secret of EVERY Developed Economy on Earth; including China. Let me repeat d word again: INFRASTRUCTURE.

You borrow and sink your country inside debt for decades to come..

This man is s curse on Nigeria...
Why am I not surprised?? Were you not d IGORANT CLOWN who said d other day that d National Assembly appropiates money/budgets to d States and dat d President signs it?.. Didn't I advice you that day not to comment any longa in Public, esp this forum. You sure didn't take my advice. Pity..
PoliticsRe: Will Loans From China Salvage Nigeria's Infrastructural Deficits? by taharqa2: 6:30pm On Jul 13, 2013
A-ZeD:
In the long run no but short term yes.
Agreed. I believe that's why d money is going towards INFRASTRUCTURE, which wud mean we can then be able to build and sustain our own Economic activities/Economy ourselves..... But, you are right: the loan-financing arrangement with China shld not be a Permanent one. It shld start to come to a close once d INFRASTRUCTURE are built. And we desparently need tn build dem INFRASTRUCTURE as fast as possible, in many sectors as possible and employing as many Sources of finance as possible

Wat kinda leaders do we ve in dis country?

bloggernaija: Same thing Shagari /ekweme did in the last 1979 and 1983.they borrowed money like a drunken sailor instead of carrying out, the necessary reduction in the size of government.
I remember the UPN telling whomever wanted to listen about the impending economic calamity.
They were called all sorts of names like the clowns currently occupying the place.
Nigeria has not recovered from that crisis.
The same script is playing out today ,different actors.
This time around, we are being sold to the Chinese .
We are borrowing from the Chinese to pay china.
Now we have a real drunken sailor.
Yea, HYPOCRITE, but when it is Lagos State Govt that is doing the borrowing, you tell us that it is d 'best' thing to do, abi?

Aringon: I can clearly see the advertisement of foolishness of the highest order in nairaland. If you do not know the concept of Export-Import(EXIM) loan facility, do not jump into issues concerning it
The Chinese Exim loan facility will be in form of machinery, parts , products and services. Nigerian officials won't see a dime let alone using it to corrupt themselves. Chinese EXIM will convert the monetary value of that loan to the cement, tar, equipment, facilities etc that will be used in reconstructing the airports and for the Steel coy, all the machinery will be brought in
God bless you.... I have said this for too long on this forum, that I just no longa bother. I guess some people wud just be 'people'..

billante: The ministers in GEJ cabinet dat is really pushing his transformation agenda is in this order

Min of trade nd investment
Min of finance
Min of agriculture
Min of aviation
Min of works
Min of transportation

Average ones
Min of solid mines&steel
Min of power
Min of education
Min of labour

Pls do we actually have ministers manning the following ministries
Min of science and technology
Min of housing of urban dev
Min of tourism
Min of water resources
Min of environment?

The above mentioned should pls tender their resignation letters go home and save tax payers money cause they have been caught sleeping on the bicycle.
Lol.... Really, one has just got to ask if we have a Min of Science and Technology in Naija. BUT, I think you have to remove d Min of Water Resources from the Category of 'do little Ministers', cos that Ministry have done very very Impressive (emphasis on d word, very) work in the last 3 years, in Resuscitating many Major long-dead Dams across the country (esp, in d north) and the building of new ones, as well as d resuscitation of River Basins across d nation. That Ministry honestly need to do more work in publicizes what they are doing cos almost no one (including until recently, myself) know nothing about d really Significant work they have done/are doing in that section...... I agree completely with yr 1st Category though. Those are obviously d Best of d lot. With d Min of Agric my favourite..
