A governor is building 2000 housing units in his first 2 years of office, and people with good for nothing governors are here running their mouths. The house itself might not cost 2.7 million to build but it will be close . The most important is the repayment plan as the govt will bear some risk if its long term payment, hence the additional cost. For those criticizing the shape/look of the house. How many of you have seen how the houses in the outskirts of the North look? They are not built the way it is done in the south. Don't criticize what you don't know. The internal facilities of the house could be of a higher quality than we all expect, you cannot tell that from the outside. When you criticize things without having full information, it only shows how narrow minded you are. |
Davindal:You just called a governor foolish. But from your second paragraph its very obvious you don't know a damn thing about what you are saying. Even before the Naira was devalued, you cant build a twin 3 bedroom flat at that amount. I think you should take a mirror and look at it. It will show you who is the foolish one here. |
ificatchmodeh:You call me "you guys". But you don't know where i'm from. The fact that i'm more intelligent than you does necessarily mean i can't come from the same place as you. Its a choice how you use your brain. Don't blame others for your inability to think at a slower speed. |
StOla:Thanks bros. Unfortunately "they" won't realize that Dangote is purely a businessman. He won't care about the ethnic sentiments that some narrow minded people carry on their head when he makes business decisions. His decision to site the refinery in Lagos is 100% business related. He doesnt care about what any Hausa, Ibo or Yoruba man will think. The refinery is sited in Lagos with direct access to the international waters. Meaning he can get his crude from suppliers from Liberia, Angola, Ghana etc. He doesn't necessarily need Nigerian crude, afterall it will be sold at market price to him and not subsidized. He can also sell his refiened product to whoever he likes, and if he needs to sell locally, lagos is the biggest market for petroleum product consumption. Lagos is investment friendly so his investment is secure and absent of the hostility of the niger delta. No host community will come block his gate 20 years after to claim their fathers shrine is crying underneath the plant. Lagos gives him easy access to international partners due to the international airports proximity. The advantages are so numerous. As a smart businessman he took an excellent decision. Most people haven't wondered why he does much more investments in the south than in his own north. HE IS A BUSINESSMAN. He thinks of his business before he thinks of his tribe. |
modath:It is so so difficult to sieve out all the noise and find the few sensible comments like yours on this forum. Its so sad. What you say might not always be right (in this case you are right), but it is at least guaranteed to be made with some level of thoughtfulness. I respect you for that. Seun should be thankful to the few like you that have remained consistently reasonable in this junk yard called a forum. |
Continue to sacrifice your integrity and future for politicians. I passed that place two hrs ago while Gov Wike was there. He was only there to inspect ongoing work. They barely started work there. Mainly sandfilling still ongoing. That's why u have no pics to post. Continue to receive yourself to make he politician look good. Someone that doesn't even know you exist. |
Decibel:I take God beg you, don't make it my issue. You were just decimated by someone that had unarguable facts as compared to your emotional hate filled outburst. Face him and dispel the things he has just said, spend your effort to prove him wrong and don't waste your time picking fights all around. I no get your time. |
Decibel:Aresa just got you all schooled, burned and busted in one fell swoop. ![]() |
justwords:Thank you sir!!! I had lost hope in this generation reading the first four pages of comments, until i saw yours. I watched the debate and i can't believe the comments here are based on that same debate. I didn't like the Obaseki guy before yesterday. He was not as eloquent, but he definitely had much more substance and facts in his answers. The Pastor didnt know give me any reason why i should see him as different from his principal, Lucky Igbinedion. That was all i was looking out for from him, and i never got it. |
emeijeh:Please do shake your head for your stupidity. He's a professor and an ex governor of a state. Yet you, with probably no job, no qualification and no future ambition sit in your armchair and label him irrelevant. |
I Have difficulties with the parking in this Land. This was a major mistake made by the so called Engineer who is handling this project. Though the house project is 6 flats of two bedroom X 4, one bedroom X 2.The Engineer should have stated tha the building would be so large on the Land but instead i didnt know until i visited nigeria in January.Na lie jor. You be Ikwerre man. Na so Una dey build house cover the land then park outside block road. Lol Just kidding o. Congrats bro. God bless your hustle. |
anyaekekehinde:Mumu, I was referring to the attitude of you lot in attaching projects to presidents like the president pays for it with his personal money. "those young guys sourced for funds through various private initiatives" as you stated, is purely their sweat and effort just like everyone of us contributes to every kobo spent by the politicians. When you don't know your left from right, this is what happens to you. You will only copy and paste without thinking. |
temptnow:Kindly google power projects in Nigeria. If you find anyone that was started during jonathans tenure, then you are not the fool I think you are. Irrespective of when a project is started, its the same hard work and taxes of Nigerians that sponsored it, not one Jonathan, Obasanjo or Buhari. It was built from the blood and sweat of Nigerians and not their pockets. Keep talking like a visionless Arrow. |
I noticed the topic started with a lot of zeal, but its already waning. Its typical of Nigerian youths, great ideas but we always fail to start off. The search for a leader or committee will only set it all backwards. I have a few suggestions. 1. Pick a date and venue here and now. Work towards the target. let everybody just show up on that day. Natural leaders will emerge once we converge. 2. Spread the message as quickly as possible via social media. Create a facebook page and hashtag HERE and NOW. Everybody should participate in sharing the page and hashtag as much as possible within the next few days. 3. Forget about geopolitical zones. Hold a massive rally in one place. The world only needs to see one rally. Lagos or Abuja will be best. 4. Assure the govt you are not planning to topple the govt, but to get your country back from the wicked. (Every govt will crush an uprising, but a honest leader will allow it flow). 5. Collectively get rid of any ethnic bigot or political affiliate at the rally ground. Once it goes political or ethnic, you might not get the opportunity to make a statement again for the next 20 years. 5. placards and banners to only carry your demands, make specific demands on cost of governance and issues that will get the support of the international community. Once you start to add political stuff, the whole world will not take you serious. 6. Lets see this first one as a show of strength. if the political devils see that we can come together for once, things will immediately start to re-adjust. Right now they prey on the fact that we have never organized ourselves. |
lovat:What do you know about welding of pipes that you are accusing him of lying? Where are your own facts? A pipe can be welded, NDT done and pressure tested all in one day. Two days tops. You are free to prove me wrong if you have contrary information. |
So I guess we can all request for tax breaks for all the street roads that lead to our houses that we have fixed. The law says any individual (you and I) and says any publicly owned (other people use the road too). Hence we are entitled to tax breaks as well. Heck it also includes buying of electric poles and transformers for our area. Hope we can hold Mr Fashola to this. Naija, lets wise up. If its good for Dangote, it's good for us too in our own little ways. |
Godsonkemz:If your 3 year old can spell strength you are over teaching her at her age. You might think it's something to be proud of but unfortunately you are damaging her brain. Forget this nonsense all these private schools do to impress you, they are just damaging her brain by overstressing it too early. |
dazzle101:You can also be considered to be Anti social, which most employers are wary of. Anti social people are considered difficult to integrate in a team. Its not wrong having a facebook page. It should just be decent. |
Techsupport:Sorry dude. A top manager in one of the oil majors once told me he checks out the facebook pages of applicants before they come interviews that involves his dept. He said he knows a lot about the person from the facebook page. Dressing, comments, pictures, and all. These things tell a lot about your person. So don't just say its Akara companies. You might just be shooting yourself in the foot. Hopefully you don't have pictures of yourself smoking weed on your page lol (just kidding o). |
sheunsheun:The probable reason why you are not employable. What's too much here that is too hard for you to read? |
Na wah o. Once upon a time, people who know nothing about the subject matter keep quiet. Now its the most ignorant that are the first to speak. Are we cursed, or is it as a result of our dysfunctional educational system? The Ooni paid N25 probably because that's what they girls family tradition allows. If it sounds abnormal to you why not ask why? Instead of all the insults and jokes. And for those calling her names, I'm sure you all have never met her. You only judge her from whatever rumour you read or heard somewhere. You all only heard one side of the stories. If you feel she's not good enough for the guy, go jump in front of Jonathan's trains. The guy likes her and married her, same way someone will like and marry your sisters, who also have stories around them too. |
TheArchangel:Only if he shows me some sense. You can bring some along with him as well, if you've got any. |
Ofodirinwa:1. Buhari has been in Govt for less than 1 year. How would he have prepared a budget in 1 year? Check your facts. 2. Buhari has not run 6 times. Check your facts. Like I said earlier on, you need to earn the right to criticize. |
Ofodirinwa:Sorry, I know you have taken it like 10 times already. Unfortunately if your writing is this poor its gonna be difficult. Better go learn work and leave Buhari alone. |
Ofodirinwa:Please go and earn the right to criticize. A proper education will be a good start. |
The Buhari govt has no budget presently. You should know this. If he had started spending any money on any project before the budget is passed, the same you will scream dictator. Common man, criticize with sense. |
northvietnam:You do realize her family is grieving right? What is wrong with you people sef? If you don't have anything to do with the mb on you phone why don't you download some music or something. Its not compulsory to comment, especially when you don't have the decency to type anything helpful. Do you know how much pain the family or poster is going through right now? The first thing that comes to your mind to type is this nonsense. God forbid!!! |
Duru1:Unfortunately, your stupidity seems to be long term. I hope its not hereditary cos I pity for you kids if you pass it to them. Yes they are crude oil rigs. it doesn't mean they are drilling in their present location. They are only stored there pending when issues are resolved. MUMU |
I think GMB is kind of right. I say so because we have resources. We have not at any time in our history trasformed our resources to wealth. Our Per capital income has never been high. We only have few wealthy individuals. This creates a false illusion of general wealth. Until we convert our resources to riches, we remain a poor country. |
BabyDaddy20:To think that over 30 people like this crap you just wrote is shocking. 1. How many oil wells are in port harcourt? Rivers state..yes, Port harcourt how many? 2. Our oil can't finish until Jesus Comes? Hope you know oil has a specific volume. And we have been draining more than we are discovering these days. Countries do run out of oil. Oil wells do dry up bro. 3. Oil is not sold by opening taps.Stop thinking like a man in the bush. 4. CBN print as many cash as the country needs...you definatelt need to go back to basic economics classes. 5. To think you live in another country. You are obviously a plate washer there. Cos you can't contribute in any other way. |
onenaira3:haha...still pained that i didnt tell you my state? Won't you let it rest? Sorry o. I'm very proud of my heritage but i won't use it to banter like you Ibos and Yorubas do here. You know why? Cos it makes no difference to me. There are good guys on both sides and there are equally devils on both sides as well. Infact you lot are not even better than the Hausas if we want to be fair. Good people are good people, bad people are bad people. It doesnt matter where they are from. Simple! FYI i not only have a job, i have a freaking good one. If i show you my pay slip you will definately pass out! |
onenaira3:[quote author=onenaira3 post=36058097]I know you feel so sad that i've not told you the state i'm from. Sorry for you. You are only prepared to attack my state rather than the facts i've stated. I'm going to leave you in your frustration. I'm Niger Delta, period. Its not every Niger deltan that supports your BS. I told you i wasnt yoruba, you still suggest i'm from ondo. Is it by force to be from the SW? See me see trouble o. Shoo ![]() ?Its a pity you had to result to insults rather than facts. You can call me useless or dumbass or whatever, It only proves one thing. I'm smarter and much more factual than you are. Hence you are trying to hide your inadequacy under the insults. Sorry bro, i won't tow your line. I unfortunately cant bring myself down to your level. Talking about Agbami, its even in its phase 2. You copy info without even checking what you are copying. Theres no oilfield anywhere in the world that produces 7,049,650 bbls. Do you realise it takes a number of wells to attain production? Do you realise even with 7in tubing and 100 wells you will still not produce that? You don't know anything about the business. Forget the insults. I know what i'm talking about, and you don't. Thats the only issue here. If you want to learn about the oilfield and oil business, pls ask. Thanks to google for giving you information. It took you 5hrs to find it. I didnt have to check google to ask you the question. The Imo river shell field has it wells straddling between rivers and Abia state. So its not even entirely Abia. Moreover Imo river is one of the really old fields in Nigeria. So quit shouting about it. A lot of its wells are dead already. Thanks for the 80% to 20% ration thing you added. YOu have this information and you are still here trying to argue? |
