Revelation chapter 18 verse 2 to 4. |
Revelation chapter 18 verse 2 to 4. |
Every nation of the earth has its share of the critical last days very very hard to deal with. The prophecy says: in one place after the other, wars, pestilences, earthquakes, food shortages, increase in crime etc. We have our share of it until the rightful ruler of mankind takes over rulership of the entire earth. |
Who really controls this world and its leaders? Who really rules this world? Can a very sincere person any where in the world bring about true change: No sickness, no deaths, no hunger, no natural disasters. Mankind still grapples with the basic necessities of life. There is obviously no hope from human stand point. No human ruler can solve mankind's problems. Even the developed nations are confused. they have tried everything possible. There will be only one true solution. Think because the situation will only get worse until the right ruler of man takes over and rule the entire earth. |
One solution to the many problems plaguing mankind world over. The Bible said it is a ruler that will crush failed human government and then install a sovereignty that will take away mans pains. Read Daniel 2:44 and Mat. 6:9 |
where are the number of other states like is Edo, Rivers Osun and State |
I was told that mans rulership failed from the garden of Eden. Also I was told that man was not designed to rule his fellow man. The I was told...."What else do you expect from a world ruled by the Devil. He controls all world affairs. No ruler no matter how well intentioned gets it right". Oh how true all over the world. |
Abel202:Correct analysis but consider why it turns out this way: (Ecclesiastes 8:9) 9 All this I have seen, and there was an applying of my heart to every work that has been done under the sun, [during] the time that man has dominated man to his injury. (1 Corinthians 7:29-31) . . .Moreover, this I say, brothers, the time left is reduced. Henceforth let those who have wives be as though they had none, 30 and also those who weep be as those who do not weep, and those who rejoice as those who do not rejoice, and those who buy as those not possessing, 31 and those making use of the world as those not using it to the full; for the scene of this world is changing. (2 Timothy 3:12, 13) . . .. 13 But wicked men and impostors will advance from bad to worse, misleading and being misled. (Jeremiah 10:23) 23 I well know, O Jehovah, that to earthling man his way does not belong. It does not belong to man who is walking even to direct his step. Since the above is the obvious then: the we await: (Daniel 2:44) “And in the days of those kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be brought to ruin. And the kingdom itself will not be passed on to any other people. It will crush and put an end to all these kingdoms, and it itself will stand to times indefinite; that is why we read: (Matthew 6:9, 10) 9 “YOU must pray, then, this way: “‘Our Father in the heavens, let your name be sanctified. 10 Let your kingdom come. Let your will take place, as in heaven, also upon earth. |
(Jeremiah 17:9) . . .The heart is more treacherous than anything else and is desperate. Who can know it? |
nerdymufasa:You said it all. |
How about considering this inspired expression. In it we can find the reason for the consistent failure in human governance that is observed every where in the world. 1 John 5:19 - "We know that we belong with God; and the whole world is lying in the power of the wicked one." Someone is in charge and humans simply serve as his stooge. He has one aim as seen in Revelation12:9 (please read to see for yourself) |
Just thinking! What influences and determines the outcome of football? is it skills or supernatural? If people must make money from the outcome of the games, then, they must influence the result how ever from where ever. |
Ecclesiates 8: 9. |
I saw this and felt I should share with all. Small companies grow into big institutions because at a critical time in their history, they were headed by individuals who are a building genius according to Robert K. Greenleaf (now late) in his book Servant Leadership – A Journey into the nature of Legitimate Power and Greatness. Robert said “these building genius gave the institutions they headed the stamp of their personal values. They were adequate leaders and managers for their day, and each brought unusual conceptual powers – in defining the institutions and establishing their values as the values of the company’s they managed”. Today, the history of sustainable organizational practice which ethical compliance is a key foundation will not be complete unless the fits of such men and their values are mentioned. For instance, in General Motors which has grown into a very large institution, the genius was Alfred Sloan whose unique gift was remarkable organizational insight and the growing of managers; in Sears Roebuck, a large merchandising company, the genius was Julius Rosenwald who brought unusual humanness and trust, and in American Telephone and Telegraph Company, it was Theordore N. Vail, that was its genius. He gave it an excellent dedication to service that was supported by relentless technical innovation. In addition to the qualities they exhibited, they did not get involved in financial a ethical breach, that is why the institutions survived after they left them. Contrary to the above mentioned qualities some chief executives who lead the organizations they worked with to become world class institutions that have survived stiff competition in the global market arena we have watched with dismay how many other chief executives of organizations told lies to deceive the unsuspecting share holders and employee that their company was doing well, when they were actually collapsing economically. Such ethical breaches have dear consequences. They have resulted in many employees losing their life savings and stockholders recording great losses. To make matters worse, it has been seen that in most cases the companies’ “independent” auditors knew of the problems – they were party to the cover up as they always gave them a clean and impressive audited yearly report that presents the ailing firm as doing well. Sad to say however no economy is free from such ethical breaches by chief executives. Even highly respected economies, like the US economy have had their share of unethical practices of greedy chief executives. Concerning this the Journal Understanding Business Today – A Photo Essay stated: “Every organization in the United States, from business and government agencies to churches, is facing new scrutiny and criticism because of ethical lapses. The stock market plunged in 2002 for many reasons, but one of the primary reasons was that investors no longer trusted companies and their accounting firms to be honest in their reporting of earnings. Investing is a matter of trust, and when investors lose that trust, the whole business world suffers” The article sited examples of Enron, Arthur Andersen LLP and Adelphia Communications. On Enron, the article states: “Many people consider the most serious offense in the recent business scandals, such as Enron’s to be the fact that many top managers knew that their companies were suffering from serious losses and sold their stock while at the same time telling investors and employees that the company was doing well. As a consequence, many employees lost their life savings and stockholders took a big hit.’ It also stated; “Michael Kopper, a former Enron managing director was the first Enron executive to admit to crimes that caused the company’s collapse. In the process of pleading guilty to money laundering and conspiracy to commit wire fraud, Kopper implicated friends, colleagues, and his former boss, Chief Financial Officer Andrew Fastow, in a series of complicated financial partnerships that made them rich at the company’s expense.” On the role of the company’s “independent” auditors, the journal said ““ independent” auditors knew of the problems”. In Nigeria we have seen a number of cases of failed companies bordering around ethical breaches by the CEO’s. A case in point is the ongoing case of Mr. Erastus Akingbola which was reported in the Media during the first week of August 2012. In the This Day Newspaper of Wednesday, August 1, 2012 it is said that Mr. Akingbola is to refund some money to the now defunct intercontinental Bank Plc (now Access Bank Plc). In the report a high court of Justice, Queen’s Bench Division, London on the 31st of July 2012, ordered the former managing director of the defunct Intercontinental Bank Plc (now Access Bank Plc) to pay Access Bank Plc €654 million (about N164 billion) for some sharp and fraudulent practices committed when he was in charge of the bank. Again, this is a case of a CEO who defied ethical codes for personal gratification. The list goes on and on, and the consequences have far reaching effects. Four and half thousand Enron employees lost their jobs and their retirement funds when the company filed for bankruptcy. Many employees of the now defunct Intercontinental Bank Plc lost their jobs. The big question is what lessons are there for CEO’s and others who occupy positions of trust? The lessons are clear. LESSONS FOR OTHER CEO’S 1. Greed is insatiable; the volume of money stolen by the CEO’s of the failed companies discussed above is a clear indication of the insatiable nature of greed. They never stopped in their greed and covetous trend until the companies in question collapsed. They never imagined they will be caught. In the words of Sam Nda-Isaiah the chairman of Leadership Group Limited and editor in chief/publisher of Leadership Newspaper, …”people who steal public funds should not just think that because they’ve not been caught, that means a day of reckoning will never come.” Yes come that day will surely. This is the very sad reality that CEO’s that got involved in ethical breach will live with all there life. And most times their families also bear the burden of the greed as they are hunted for many years. 2. For every case or incidence of ethical breach which in most cases will be in the knowledge of a few collaborators, trust is the victim. When top management is guilty of breach of ethics and thus trust, it’s a very terrible example for the company’s workforce as it breeds disloyalty, employee theft and reduced productivity. This eventually gets worst when the organization loses credibility before its clients and investors. 3. There is usually loss of jobs as was the case of four thousand and half Enron employees who lost their jobs and their retirement funds when the company filed for bankruptcy. A good number of Intercontinental Bank staffs lost their jobs as is the case with other Banks in the recent past. 4. The CEO who gets entangled loses goodwill, self respect and a battered public image. Some times such CEO’s are barred from heading another company. 5. It can be fatal for both the CEO and employees who can not bear with the loss of job and livelihood. The benefits of avoiding ethical breaches are enormous. When is the next season coming up pls? |
Twi friends were discussing as below Peter: The world is in a mess Yahaya: I wonder Peter: World rulers keeping failing to learn: Yahaya: What do you mean Peter: Lets learn simple lesson. Southern Sudan is in a mess, Syria is a global issue with Europe practically running from pilar to post, Ukraine no go area, Lybia wahala, Yemen nko, Iraq a continuum. The relative peace here we keep struggling with shattering it. Yahaya: I dont understand you Peter: Every part of the world suffers from one thing-problem or the other Yahaya: Yes, what does that have to do with us? Peter: Natural disasters in Japan, USA, etc. Civil unrest practically every where. Hunger in parts of Africa and the Middle East. Yahaya: So what? Peter: Its so remarkable that it should not be shoved aside. There is confusion everywhere Yahaya: You mean? Peter: It is indicative Yahaya: Kai, so Peter: They are signs Yahaya: Signs of What? Peter: Lets continue this discussion later. May be, lets look at some holy writings, just any of them may offer an explanation Yahaya: Ok then, when you are ready we continue with the discussion. However, you set me on the path of some serious thinking. No part of the world is free of heart wrecking troubles. The 3 years old washed ashore some days ago. what lack of peace and presence of confrontation can cause. Relative peace is indeed better. So we do what we can to have. |

What is the purpose of life? A man is born, he grows up, gets educated, gets married if he likes, raises children, makes a name for himself most likely, dies either early or at an old age(even when he doesn't want to die). You may find the article in blog below interesting to read. http://softskillmentor-vincent..com/2011/09/is-there-purpose-to-life-elie-wiesel.html |
harlos: And in the end what happened... GOD's willIS GOD UNCARING AND HARDHEARTED? 6 Many people think that the answer to that question is yes. ‘If God cared,’ they reason, ‘would not the world be a very different place?’ We look around and see a world full of war, hatred, and misery. And as individuals, we get sick, we suffer, we lose loved ones in death. Thus, many say, ‘If God cared about us and our problems, would he not prevent such things from happening?’ 7 Worse yet, religious teachers sometimes lead people to think that God is hardhearted. How so? When tragedy strikes, they say that it is God’s will. In effect, such teachers blame God for the bad things that happen. Is that the truth about God? What does the Bible really teach? James 1:13 answers: “When under trial, let no one say: ‘I am being tried by God.’ For with evil things God cannot be tried nor does he himself try anyone.” So God is never the source of the wickedness you see in the world around you. (Job 34:10-12) Granted, he does allow bad things to happen. But there is a big difference between allowing something to happen and causing it. That is the irony of this great nation. Though someone like Jonathan was never supposed to be near that sit of power, yet he didnt fare worse than those who had Leadership qualities but still chose to ran the nation aground.
