Eko Ile: Looking at the responses so far and responders, what's the common denominator between them all?you're just so pathetic indeed. Its quite obvious YOU are the tribal bigot on this forum |
Adufaye: Gud 1,i wonda hw police take dy catch thief diz dayzeven though I gave kudos to the police on this one, it is an open secret that no successful major robbery operation can take place without the knowledge of the police. I have seen live evidence to indict them even instances where people call the police during robbery operations on a street then the robbers visit that person days later just for reporting them to the police. How did the robbers know that particular person was the one who reported ? Na God dey save us for this country my brother. |
This just goes to prove that everyday is for the thief but one day is for the house owner, political thieves should beware too because their time is almost up. Kudos to the Nigeria police on this one. PEACE: |
LAGOS—LAGOS State Police Command’s manhunt for the robbery gang that, three weeks ago, raided Murtala Mohammed Airport, Lagos, killing two policemen and injuring several others, has led to the arrest of some members of the gang, Vanguard learnt yesterday. Information available to Vanguard revealed that the suspects were arrested by operatives of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS, Ikeja, who took over investigations, following a directive from the Inspector-General of Police, Mr. Mohammed Abubakar. The operatives, who acted on a tip-off, as gathered, arrested the bandits from their respective hideouts within Lagos. So far, the suspects were said to have confessed during interrogation on how they planned and carried out the operation. Vanguard gathered that the suspects first raided the airport in February 2012, where N700 million was carted away. It would be recalled that a 10-man robbery gang, armed with sophisticated weapons, invaded the airport on March 13, 2013 at 9am and headed for the Bureau De Change, BDC, operators centre near the car park, firing indiscriminately. During a shoot-out with a team of policemen attached to the airport, two policemen were reportedly gunned down while a member of the gang was also killed. The fire fight, however, prevented the robbers from reaching their target. Vanguard gathered that the suspects may be paraded today. http://www.vanguardngr.com/2013/04/police-nab-lagos-airport-robbers/ |

Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps, NSCDC, has finally replaced Mr. Obafaiye Shem, the man who postulated the “my oga at the top” mantra, as commandant of Lagos State Command. He was replaced by Mr. Adesuyi Clement from Oyo State Command. The Commandant General of NSCDC, Dr. Olu Abolurin, who was in Lagos weekend over the alleged killing of two of his officers by some policemen, introduced the new Commandant to journalists. However, he did not give reasons for Obafaye’s removal but sources hinted that it may not be unconnected with his recent interview on Channels Television live programme. Before now, authorities of NSCDC have denied taking any disciplinary action against Mr. Shem over the said interview. Their reaction followed claims that Shem had been sacked on the orders of the Minister of Interior, who supervises the NSCDC. Shem’s ordeal started when he appeared on Channels Television morning programme ‘Sunrise’ and when asked the NSCDC website he said: “Hmmm, the website is, excuse me, my Oga at the top knows the website”. He again, cleared his throat and said: “My Oga at the top is working on the website and I don’t have them”. When the presenters insisted that he give a functioning website address of the para-military outfit, he dropped the bombshell: “ww.nscdc, that’s all”. Immediately, the interview went viral and has become so popular to the extent that t-shirts with “my oga at the top” insignia has been produced and selling like hot cake across the country, even as some DJs and musicians have done what they called a remix of the phrase. Seems this "Oga at the top" wahala has just refused to die down. ![]() http://www.vanguardngr.com/2013/04/my-oga-at-the-top-adesuyi-replaces-shem-as-lagos-commandant/

Isn't there a way the federal govt can concession out railway routes/line whereby private investors can build their own tracks specifically for the use of high speed trains, they'll provide their own electricity to power the trains & pay royalty to the respective govt agencies. I guess this will only be hampered by constitutional restrictions just like the regional railways proposed by the SW but this is one of the reasons why we elect those dolts in the national assembly. To make things easier for us while they can travel anywhere they like. |
babapupa: Wa all know the people with no sense of identity and belonging.. They call themselves Jews today, tomorrow they are Japanese, after that they are taiwanesse, Koreans and so on....you're just a damn f0ol. Believe that |
taharqa: And you are bn SILLLY, as is USUAL. Okpeee, d Arik man VERY CLEARLY said that Airport facilities were IMPROVING significantly in 2 yrs- d KEY word: improving ie work in progress, as one wud expect since its only just 2yrs afta yrs of neglect (as d Arik man also emphasized). Nobody is unda d presumptn that we hv arrived, but we are CERTAINLY moving in d right direction, and at a much FASTER rate than in decades. The Arik man for instance said that sm Airports like those in Benin, Owerri, Yola, do not hv functional Runway Lightings YET but he didn't also mention Lagos and sm oda main Airports COS THOSE ONES ALREADY HAD THEIR RUNWAY LIGHTINGS INSTALLED RECENTLY BY THIS SAME ADMIN in d 1st phase of an ONGOING PROCESS that wud go round ALL runways in d country. B4 now, NO domestic airport had a functional runway lighting system; today, sm do and odas are in d process of bn installd- that is part of d PROGRESS the Arik man was talking about, one which is VERY EVIDENT to every Sane Airtraveller. HATERS and PROPAGANDISTS (Enermies of Progress) can do anytin bout this no mata how it much it PAINS them, and what's worst, this just a tip of d iceberg ..... By d way, d Aviation Min never said that d Remodelld Benin had a functional Lighting system already installd, but that it along with sm odas, were BEEN installd. That was also repeatd here again at d tail end of dis articleits just so pathetic that nairaland is frequented by dolts who lack reading and comprehension abilities. Their sadness and general apathy to any meaningful progress under this administration will surely choke them except they will lock themselves in caves in order not to utilize Nigeria's obviously improving infrastructure under this administration. Sorry is their name |
Omo_Tier1: TO THE CLOWNS IN POWER WHO NEVER FAIL TO DISAPPOINT BY CHEERY PICKING WHAT FAVOURS THEM IN A NEWS ARTICLE AND REFUSE TO SHED LIGHT ON THE REVELATIONS .. let me help you!sad child, I guess you skipped this part "Sanusi said. The Minister of Aviation, Stella Oduah, had recently assured that from this year till the end of 2014, all the airport runways would have airfield lighting and fully upgraded." Its in this same article you posted if you agree to read things completely. |
kingoflag: My nigga get the fu*ck out my face, you ignorant beast.sophisticated piece of s#it |
kingoflag: Oh my God you monkeys are just so backwards and cant think logically its unbelievable!father of monkeys, how far ? |
kingoflag: Fool, doesnt that show you that I dont discriminate against an entire tribe, rather I disparage an individual for their actions.kingoflag: Yeah, so the "North" can take over and set the country back another 2million years? Somebody please tell me where these so called Northern Elders were hiding where IBB and Abacha rained havoc on the nation? How I wish Nigerians were smart enough to vote in someone like Buhari so people like this fool will only speak their wishes from behind prison bars. Wise man, these are your own words so stop contradicting yourself. You cannot tell us that the "North" will set us back 2million years then still expect Nigerians to vote Buhari. Once again is Buhari from Enugu or Osun state ? Anumanu congo |
Omo_Tier1: FYI, I am neither an member of ACN neither am I a Fashola apologist but strictly abhors disgruntled elements whose trade is propaganda of a failed leadership.if you can afford the air ticket from Lag to Kano, I suggest you skip the flight and go 39 hrs by rail instead then you will understand why people preffered to sleep at MMIA waitong for Arik flights. You'll also consider that all those sleeping at the MMIA were "going" to Kano for easter celebrations since by your logic everyone stranded at the MMIA this easter hols and didn't use the rail line was automatically supposed to be going to Kano. The FG isn't thr yet but at least they've made an effort to start a project that has been abandoned for donkey years, the least you can do is to stop being sad about it. |
Who even gave this stoopid aboki the balls to talk anyhow ? Pack out ko, reverse inside ni. |
Many people on this thread are are just plain stuupid but english language makes them sound intelligent. |
Feed me more: Hmmm, tell me something...i don't have an idea that Gej has a hand in the bombings, so Gej is this evil?are you honestly minding thi idi0t ? The fact that someone is lousy doesn't necessarily mean everyone should listen to him/her. |
I believe the railway system should be privatised or better still opened up the capable individuals/companies who will bring in their own trains to run the available routes, this will ease the pressure on govt owned trains and they can even diversify between strictly haulage or passenger trains. It will benefit our country in the long run. I heard the NRC is planning on going into high speed trains within a few years time to complement the locomotive trains and they shall criss cross the length and breadth of this country, trying to verify the news. |
Bad belle people don't want us to be happy inthis country. May their wickedness choke them to death. ![]() |
Free Major Hamza al-Mustapha NOW |
kingoflag: Yeah, so the "North" can take over and set the country back another 2million years?is the Buhari you mentioned not a northerner or is he suddenly from Enugu state ? |
What BM's use in trumping benzo's and other rivals is its superb handling especially from tigh corners. But if you ask me to make a choice, I'll do like objective questions in an exam and choose ALL of the above. ![]() |
The only other credible rivals to this brute are the Mercedes Benz C63 AMG and Audi's R S5. The 2013 BMW M3 is powered by an exclusive, naturally aspirated 4.0-liter V8 that cranks out ample midrange power topped off by an addictive high-end rush as it winds out to a sky-high 8,400-rpm redline. The fuel cosumption ratio is up to 14cty/20hwy mpg. The powerful V8 engines sends 414 horsepower and 295 pound feet of torque to the rear wheels. The ride comes with a standard 6 speed manual transmission and a seven speed dual clutch automated manual transmission comes as optional. A zero to sixty mph sprint in the 6 speed manual transmission clocks at 4.6 seconds while a convertible with the dual clutch automated transmission clocked at 4.8 seconds. |

This is the 2013 BMW M3 coupe running on a 4.0L V8 engine (manual transmission). Awesome ride if you ask me.

ewet is the latest rabid puppy dog in town, welcome o |
Some people who have no inkling about national security issues come to nairaland and automatically become security experts. Many people who have never been class captains in primary school or held any leadership position automatically know how to govern a complex nation like Nigeria. I love nairaland. P.S if you dissent, you're automatically labelled "visionless" and "a55licker" |
I like when politicians come out chanting incantations just to sound intelligent. |
So ? |
CyberG: Japan and China you said? Are you not the foools on this forum whose only job is to defend the incompetence of your retardeen? Do you think it was just propaganda that propelled China from the backwater country it was in not too distant past!? Or Japan, where they are so serious, failure by any leader will make him kill himself, don't worry about him having to endure the complains of the people. In modern times, they just resign but your retardeen is a sit-tight dundee-shithead. You better stop mentioning Japan and China because there leaders are not retardeens like the Otueke fisherman!you are obviously a class act idi0t who surely lacks reading and comprehension skills else you would have noticed we are talking about the Bayelsa state government here and not your "retardeen" president. Your nonsense ranting here will never remove the "retardeen" as you stupidly call him till at least 2015 so live with it as I definitely owe you cowardly nonentity no apologies. Dolt |
