Aswear. I actively avoid Nigerian news cuz it will just be giving one unnecessary anxiety and sadness. shupy: |
I think it is better you speak for your own lived experience and not for the "average African". It is like you do not give enough credit to the "average African" and you just generalised based on your own experience. The challenge I think is that people do not know how to keep themselves company, they cannot "hang out" with themselves. For myself here in Nigeria, I have only attended one wedding this year and if I could I would not have gone. My idea of a good weekend is electricity, data, music and netflix. I may enter my house on a Friday and not step out into the compound till Sunday morning. While I do not discount your experience and the fact that your mental health may/is suffering, do not generalize. Dollywood: |
aurorae1:I am taking physical weekday classes. I just know that my competence level is not up to B level. I just can't explain it but I know. |
Yes please, I am very interested. How do I reach to you further? brogxy: |
I already did on WhatsApp. It is yet to be delivered though. Probably cuz you are offline. Yes I am in Lagos jhitaid: |
Hello People, Please I've been learning French for like 5 months now at IEF but I need to take a pause because though I'm in B class I know my skill level is not up to B. So at this time I think I'll be needing a personal tutor to brush me up from A to B constantly. Don't mind if it's online or physical or mixed sef. Please I really need help. Anyone who knows people who can help please send them my way or send me their way. Thank You. |
First of all, are you using a Naira Mastercard? If yes then it could possibly mean that the transaction exceeds the international online transaction limit set at most Nigerian banks these days which is mostly between 100 - 200 USD sylvo: |
First and foremost the first step in this is you blaming your getting angry on your wife. You have to be self-aware so that people cannot influence your own mood. Yes, your wife may have acted a certain way but the reaction is up to you. Realise first that as a person you need to be in control of your emotion. Once you get that out of the way seek anger counselling. Finally remember that people may do something to me, the way I react is entirely up to me. craigkoel1989: |
I'm wondering they did not accept mine as I got the idea to send via fax from Nairaland. Hmmmm... Another courier money. Dariz God dubajek: |
I too thought they accepted fax but alas they said no... Below is the response I received from them "Please send via postal service or courier only. No email or fax." Tdadz: |
Chuksteve:Thanks for the heads up. Do you have more details as regards the style of questioning : number of questions, paper or computer based, the kind of quantitative, is calculator allowed etc... Thanks in anticipation of your response |
blesseenE:Get to Idiroko bus stop (its closer than stopping at Anthony bus stop) along ikorodu road. There's a road beside the LASU campus there. From that street take a bike and tell them you are going to police station (bike is 50 Naira). When you get there the centre is directly opposite the police station. Hope this helps. |

Got regret mail today |
People People People why are you hating on Nokia First some argue that Nokia is too reliant on Symbian but remember if i am not mistaken the Symbian brought multi-tasking to us as we know it today and besides not only Nokia uses Symbian (it is only that they made it popular) Sony Ericsson also make use of the Symbian platform. Besides Apple is developing on their i phone OS, Google on Andriod for HTC,Samsung; as also Nokia is developing on Symbian hence the emergence of Symbian ^3 Secondly, software and third party application development is better and easier to create on the symbian platfotm. There are an array of apps on the symbian platform. In other words it allows for easy software development. Thirdly, most of the advocates of I phone, Apple as we all know is very stingy. It didn't allow Adobe to create a platform for flash content on its i phone, you can't send files through bluetooth, you have to buy almost all apps, can't use your I phone to sync without i tunes. Although it still has it perks like the retina display and the display, music player etc. Besides the phone makers you are saying are better than Nokia pretty much make phones for high end users. In conclusion what am saying is that other phone makers are superb are good in their own respect (i even love the I phone) but we should not be too quick to dismiss Nokia or symbian as failed.Besides Nokia is still the largest phone maker by market share. |

@pepeye Skyblue just read my mind, shops that are illegal, before he came into power you could hardly walk the streets of Lagos without bumping into market women and their wares, there was no space to walk, besides the shops he broke down were illegal structures. To develop a state you have to step on toes, just like el-rufai, who restored the master plan of Abuja. If he didn’t do that the Abuja master plan will be destroyed. Do you want to tell me you do not know that private schools around are under standard? Someone will just come for nowhere and set-up a useless structure and call it a school. @skyblue God bless you. You have eyes and can see; you have a brain and can perceive what goes on in your environment. Do not mind people who cannot understand the plight of good governance @folem You say the filling of the Atlantic Ocean is not important. Some years ago when the bar beach over flowed it banks what was done. Now the man has an insight to foresee that the problem does not repeat itself. Anyway as they say you cannot satisfy everyone. Even JESUS CHRIST was considered a rebel what more a human being like Gov Fashola @all People saying that he is not tackling unemployment should take a look at the BRT, the buses do not drive themselves it needs drivers, conductors bus cleaners e.t.c. So tell me where they were gotten from. Is it not Employment? ![]() |
First of all may their souls rest in perfect peace. But there is a fault from every angle of a story. The exercise was tiresome and worst of all killing, then when you see you cannot make it why kill your self in the process. Nobody knows his/her own body but himself/herself. Besides it is military training, what is expected and we are also in Nigeria so the necessary precautions “am sure were” not taken. |
I agree with vassilli, what generation of leaders, leaders who cannot be independent, cannot make decisions on their own until their HOUSE MASTERS OR HOUSE MISTRESSES so to say gives them a go ahead. Covenant University has its own good sides, their motives are okay but they go to the extreme to establish it. I am not saying that the students were justified but they could have given them counselling or something, expulsion is extreme. According to the story, even the school’s PRO could not call back to say what was going on. Now tell me is that Christian-like, he couldn’t pick up his phone because he did not want to be interrogated. People please let us reason, we have our own minds, covenant products have been so stereotyped to believe that the school can never go wrong, they have been brain washed so to say. If we are not careful this can be another form of COMMUNISM in a mini form. I too attend a private university, Ajayi Crowther University, owned by the Anglicans, I know what it feels like but my school does not take it to the extreme. And besides how many scandals have you heard coming out from Redeemers university or Bowen, it is always covenant and upon all their efizy they still did not enter the list of the best universities in west Africa, so what is the fuss all about. One final thought-provoking question, are they really raising Christians or fanatics? Is the Bible impressed in the mind of the students? This students who only pretend in school and return to their real self when they get back to their respective house and I say once again so what is the fuss all about? |
@ mamajama Please always get your info correct before posting on the net. I just finished visiting BBC’s website. Although you are correct about Obama’s vote being high, it has not been officially declared by the party. Clinton is not backing down. So please take it easy so that you don’t dash people’s hope. |
