@ bodejohn,
i totally agree with you on that, but the thing there is and i know u understood it then that after our tussle, we still came back and we sorted things out, there's no one on our side we were all left alone then, but people came to mediate peace in between us, they never took any sides. But in a situation whereby one has met one poster and you think everything being said on the forum by that person, you will sure put your tent there. thats what annoys me the most.
I'm still totally open to an open diaglogue and i'm not putting any predetermined conditions for that to happen. But if the other party is not ready to do the same, then i dont give a hoot.
Tell us some of your on-going researches, we will greatly appreciate that. What about the offline downloading stuff, how far have you gone with that?
And please, no matter the little contribution you post on the forum, it goes a long way assisting so many of us. And dont think about the power tussles at all, just put them aside, i hope u are with me in this?
can you also help me in getting that DVB-S card (usb type)?

sometimes I think we are doomed forever as a 'race' - must everything be personalized? there is a vast amount of info out there and I admit it takes a while to digg 'em up but whatever be the case when someone comes up with something new on this forum, we are not to assume that it has been conclusively tried out and tested until we have done our own bit of research - I guess that is what I will call a fully fledged D.I.Y spirit.

Putting things together or hooking things up doesn't really make u knowledgeable or a good DIYer until you have a firm grasp of the concepts that underpin the project you desire to undertake - typical example most installers don't have any inkling into what they do, they just point and tune and it ends there for them but from what I have researched and what I do with my setup, I know that is just the starting point.

So guys STOP this "retard behaviour" - there is nothing novel on this forum that hasn't been discussed on other forums just take the pains to read more and "GOOOOOGLE" and when you "enlighten" yourself I bet you will save yourself unwarranted trips to unwarranted place. [sub][/sub]the truth is out there open your eyes y' all!  embarassed

Twinstaiye,
Were you able to open the showtime/ART packages at all?

My brother, after days of trial and errors, i succeeded finally yesterday night. It is quite an experience. It is something that is very easy to do once you know your ways around. Thanks for your assistance with the keys and of course to babaegun who unknowingly gave me another keys just yesterday night which turn out to be the new keys for ART and Showtime.

The site in the link below generally lists (daily) football matches that are being shown on satellite although I don't think it is that up to date on African matches or African Satellites. The channels listed in brown/red are totally FTA while the ones in blue are encrypted though some of them are still sometimes watchable. If you place your cursor on a channel, whether blue or brown/red, the site will list the satellite(s) and frequency/ies on which the channel can be found.

Enitan2002,

The whole thing is quite unfortunate and I know how u feel about it all.
I dont believe its time to start apportioning blames. the moderator has come in and done that in the mature way he has been doing lately. Anyone that is adding anything to what he said is only trying to stir up the mud water again.

I dont agree that there is a mafia on this thread because I wonder what they will be gaining from it. Anyone's opinion might just be his and just his alone.

I happen to meet one very controversial member of this thread lately and come to realize that the controversy he is creating is just for fun.

@all,

Good People of FTA. I hail una once again.
If anyone is wondering, I haven't left this thread. I cant even leave it even if I wanted to. Thats because, even though I no longer contribute much I still get this exciting feeling when I think about how popular it has become. Why then will I leave.

So people, lets keep the love going.

Countdown to Daarsat. According to High Chief Raymond A. Dokpesi, We have 12 days to go. We are waiting patiently. No new info yet from anyone and 12days to go. ; D grin grin grin or am I mistaken? maybe I did not hear well. No be 7th October the man call am? with 8 channels?

Am I wrong conclding or is it a fact that African leadership system is structured in such a way that information is a luxury to it's subjects. Let´s take free2view as a case study. those guys wanted to give enough fta but the S.A authority ha smade sure it does not happen. the few we are receiving from them I am sure might be beause the free2view people has already signed a contract with the content providers and must just transmit. who knows what will happen after the contract elapses.

Or is there something I am not getting? Please enlighten me.

I have ben thinking. instead of me paying daarsat 40k for a Receiver. why not double it to 80k and get nilesat installed for myself. If i should motorise it sef. plenty Channels go burst my receiver. B
