BusinessRe: "Your Husband Is Your Boss” — Femi Otedola’s Emotional Advice To Daughter Temi by Tallesty1(m): 4:39pm On Sep 06, 2025
Feminists are already having sleepless nights. Some even said she took them 15 steps backwards 😂😂😂.

But here’s the thing guys, Temi dare not say she will never take Eazi’s name. Why? Because she was raised right. She respects authority, and she’s loyal too.

Recently we hired someone to handle a few things. At first we thought she was just performative, but over time we realized she’s genuinely like that. When I dug deeper, I found out her dad had two wives but still remained a responsible father. That shaped her. When you raise a daughter in love and care, you’re teaching her how to love and respect a man.

The witches we see online are either direct descendants of second Timothy or products of failed parenting. And let’s not forget that the love a man shows his wife influences his daughters’ choices in men: what they give, expect, and tolerate.

So if we want wives like Temi, we must raise daughters like Otedola did. Women who won’t only submit to their husbands but also won’t be shaking nyash for likes or turning weddings into 18+ events with half-naked displays.

A responsible society is a collective effort.

RomanceRe: All Men Cheat. How True Is That Statement? by Tallesty1(m): 6:16pm On Aug 20, 2025
This isn’t something anyone should even try to defend because it’s useless. Women cheat more than men, they’re just better at hiding it.

Hotel receptionists are available for ‘extra services’, hair vendors are available, makeup artists are available, perfume sellers are available, tailors are available, even your child’s teacher is available. Yet every day the topic is always ‘men cheat’, as if these others don’t.

The difference is simple: a man cheating admits he’s cheating. A woman, on the other hand, will find a way to rationalize it: ‘if he hadn’t done this, I wouldn’t have done that’. They don’t even see it as cheating until DNA test results start raising questions.

If you say all men cheat, you’re right. If you say women don't cheat at all, you’re right too. No need for debates. Just remember, men cheating is not why one in every 4 DNA tests comes back negative.

The tax law is good. Many tribalistic voters will begin to use their head to vote when they understand that the kind of person they vote for can steal from their purse by diverting their hard earned money paid as tax. Peller must be one of those that voted tinubu through tribalism. Let him feel the heat. Most fulanis, Hausa and yoruba vote irresponsibility based on tribal and religious interest and not based on the desire to see the country ruled by the best non thieving politician. So when I saw the tax law, I was happy because I knew it will bring the lesson home. Only south South people bear the responsibility of feeding this nation since 1960, but with the new tax law, the big men that are targeted for taxing go wiseup
Nigerians will never learn.

CelebritiesRe: Peller Protests ₦36 Million Tax Bill From Lagos Government by Tallesty1(m): 6:38am On Aug 13, 2025
Peller did not complete his education due to poverty, which in Nigeria is the product of decades-long governance inefficiencies, inequitable wealth distribution, and the absence of affordable, quality education.

Government investment in citizen capacity-building during Peller’s formative years was non-existent.
As with millions of Nigerians facing this systemic disadvantage, Peller struggled for survival until, through self-driven initiatives, he achieved economic success.

And boom! The vulturous Lagos State Government has issued a tax demand in millions.

This is a standard operational pattern:

1. Provide no structural support at the foundational stage.

2. Apply maximum fiscal extraction at the success stage.

This is why, when Human Development Index (HDI) is raised, they quickly deflect to Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) — because HDI measures accountability, and accountability exposes failure.

RomanceRe: Guys Married To Igbo Women From Poor Background How Do You Cope by Tallesty1(m): 8:49pm On Jul 26, 2025
pocohantas:
Any young budding guy married to a woman from a struggling background would definitely have it hard. It doesn't matter her tribe. What would make it easier is if they are not entitled. In that case whatever you give them is what they will take. If not, your wife would most likely start blackmailing you into absorbng all their expenses and that is the beginning of your financial stagnancy.

Once again, it is not a tribe issue.
I was explaining this exact thing to someone just two days ago. Their whole argument was flawed because it’s never really about whether the family is rich or poor, it's got nothing to do with tribe, it’s about whether they’re content or entitled.

If you marry a woman from a poor background who isn't entitled, you’re in luck. N10k from a son-in-law can feel like N100k to them, and they'll be grateful. But if you're struggling and you marry into a rich, entitled family, they'll still bill you, only this time it's on a whole new level, their own level.

A guy fit show up when his poor in-laws dey do burial with a keg of wine, some yams, and maybe N50k, and they’ll give him a whole canopy, if na entitled rich family, if he no buy cow make I know wetin cause am.

Even if you provide so?

Abeg abeg abeg mah enter office before i vex
I’ll cook for my family because my dad did for us and we loved it, honestly, we even craved his meals. But the moment you start telling me, “It’s 2025, so you should be cooking,” that’s where the wahala starts.

My last relationship ended for two reasons.

First, she wanted to know how I would support her career. I asked, “Are you working for yourself or for the household?” She said it doesn’t matter. I told her, If you're working for yourself while I fund all of us, then I don't owe you so much as a ‘how was work today?’. Your job holds no value for the family.

Second, she said she only wants two kids. I told her, “I’m having three.” She said she had already made up her mind and wasn’t ready to mentally accommodate a third. I replied, “The third mustn't come from you.”

There are things I don’t negotiate. It riles me to see men become sissies just because women have conditioned them into becoming the kind of men want as a partner but they’d never want as a brother or a son

Where it is established the man has been the primary caregiver even in the marriage thereby allowing the woman more career-time that led to wealth acquisition, the woman would pay spousal support. A few rich(er) women have. Sadly these cases are few because even when the woman is richer, the man doesn't step up to family duties as it emasculates him. Rihanna is richer and she is still the one dragging her children everywhere and men see her as a model wife/mother. Maybe that is why she has refused to marry whatever-his-name-is. She is avoiding stories that touch.

No court in Nigeria mandates a man to keep doing what he does for a woman after marriage. I have not seen or heard of one case. The 30k to 50k Nigerian men are mandated to pay is definitely not what any grown woman uses to take care of herself and 3 kids. Even in America, with the exception of celebrities and the top percentile of men, the money is barely enough to augment given the woman would have to do school run, doctor appointments, sick days, games day...everything alone. If there is mortgage, she still has to pay it off or take a hit to their living condition. So in reality, POST-DIVORCE, these women take up jobs after losing meaningful work years because all the man is mandated to pay is CHILD SUPPORT. Strictly for the kids, no extras.

If my husband would stay at home while I chase my career and side dudes ___I will happily give him 50k/monthly upon divorce for childcare. Then come pickup every other weekend and return to him immediately to sleep by midnight and wakeup early every morning . I have presented him with this option a few times if he thinks I am not doing enough and he never took it. He instead gave me the money. The women guys scare with this talk are lazy and emotional women. Women's fight for kids with an average man is more of fear, maternal instinct and longterm emotional control, than actual resources.
If the child lives with her, and he funds that child’s life, he's funding her household whether she admits it or not. The money doesn't come with a condition don't touch me unless it's for junior.

And don’t say the man should fight for custody when the court treats working men like sperm donors and wallets.

Dragging men to court, fighting over salaries, and threatening jail isn’t love for the kids. A man gets a job with a bigger pay and boom, she wants a bigger child support? Why? Did the child's needs suddenly increase?

This right here is the reason black men struggle with paying child support. They think it is an exchange for what the woman does for them. You are not paying child support for/to your wife. It is for the KIDS. Once again, the KIDS.

The wife doesn't have to do anything for you. She has to do something for the the KIDS. The KIDS! And the CORE thing she provides is nurturing which is directed at the kids.

Upon separation/divorce, everything is done for the KIDS. Not the husband or wife. The KIDS.

If you as a man can be the primary parent without going to dump the children for your mother in the village. Then by all means establish the woman has the means to pay you child support and she would be made to. It is really simple and I am surprised you think this is an applicable illustration.
Oh yeah, the reason they fight tooth and nail for custody is because nothing from child support benefits them. I get it now.

I need to clarify this to all APC corn lovers
Student loan is not an achievement. A lot of students aren't even on the loan. The person I am paying for isn't on loan. Before the student loan the fees were very affordable for everyone. Government can afford to subsidies tuition if the cut off unnecessary expenses they use to live Large. No student should graduate and be a debtor to a government that can't even provide enabling environment for industries and businesses.

PDP era of low affordable tuition is much better than APC student loan era.
What Tinubu and his team did was take away what Nigerians used to get from the government because the government could no longer afford it and then return it as a loan, and somehow that's now considered an achievement.

They will tell you to go on social media and see people giving testimonies, but ask that same person to provide proof that access to student loans has increased the number of students in school compared to when tuition was subsidized and they will start explaining

Do you get? A nice article but he nearly ruined it with that part.

Nearly everything men did in 1985, they’re still doing today, but you don’t see anybody telling them to stop because it’s 2025. Look at marriages, even after divorce, the core things a man provides in marriage, he can still be mandated by court to keep providing for the woman and kids. But nothing binds the woman to do anything for him. It’s crazy.

In my family, everybody cooks. And being the one who stayed in the village longer, I cook local foods better than all of them. Recently, we were in the village for Easter, and I was the one cooking. My brothers were there, their wives too, and my sister, my mother, and others, I was cooking because I love cooking and I trust my own food. But all this talk about 2025 doesn’t move me. Yes, it’s 2025, I can order any food from my phone; heck, I can order both the food and the chef.

Nobody remembers it’s 2025 when we tell men to be the providers and do all the heavy lifting. Recently, because a woman died over ₦500k, the internet was full of “don’t settle for less” and “marry a man that can always cough out a million.” This is coming from a POS attendant that earns ₦15k monthly without any allowance.

Recently in a conversation with one, she said she can't marry a broke guy because she doesn't want to suffer; and I asked why she would suffer because of his brokenness when he isn’t asking for her own money?

Women have all the opportunities that men have, they have the education men had, they can get all the skills men have access to, and for some good reason, it’s even easier for them. But nobody reminds them it's 2025 when they hold back their own money and expect everything to come from the man. Nobody tells them it's 2025 when they're planning their dream weddings without contributing a single kobo.

Na man dey do man las las, NEPO kids dey buy off the whole food in the canteen because they no wan queue while LAPO kids are being told to start cooking because it's 2025. Na money and fellow man dey do man.

I dey live in one beedrom, I marry woman put inside, she no add extra room, na me dey pay the bills but na she settle for less.
