All this happens because some men feel they need 'permission' from their wives to act. If I want my mom to come over and I can afford it, I’ll inform my wife so she’s prepared mentally and otherwise—that’s all. Her input isn’t needed to decide whether my mom comes or not |
Peakdesign23:What are they supposed to commit? Childrenery? |
IfyAwazie:This is lame. If you hit me with a broom, I can decide to respond with 2/2 if I want to. You don’t get to dictate how people react to your actions. For people like you, abuse isn’t real until it’s physical but emotional abuse can be just as harmful. A man in Nsukka had an argument with his wife on New Year’s Day, walked out of the house as men are often advised to do, and was hit by a car. He died on the spot. We’re always told that a “real man” should walk away, but no one asks, “Is a real woman supposed to drive her man out of his home?” Men accept too much nonsense, and I blame them for it. Women often excuse bad behavior with hormones, moods, or periods, and men are expected to understand. Yet, these same women control their emotions at work or with their boss. @OP, any woman who cooks your meals has the power to kill you, so treat her well. If she doesn’t respect you, leave her and move on. |
pdppower:Whenever I see many Nigerian pastors preach, my mind goes to the question in the parable of the sower: 'Did we not sow good seed?' (Matthew 13:27). That’s probably what Jesus asks when He looks down and sees the rubbish some people call Christianity in Nigeria |
Many married men do not realize how single they're until they lose their job |
chatinent:I think his point is that Buhari employed Northerners across the North East, North Central, and North West, while Tinubu's appointments are skewed towards the SW, despite being called a 'southern president. Either way, I like what's happening. |
ogolemati:This is why I say Nigeria is structured not to progress. Tinubu has four certain years and possibly four more, making it a short time even if he gets the full eight years. After that, what’s next? Because of how Nigeria is structured, and due to baseless preferences and biases, power will eventually return to the same people Tinubu is currently dealing with. What do you think will happen? Here’s the cycle: those complaining now will celebrate then, and vice versa. After that? Rinse and repeat. |
PDPGuy:Custom's import duty is the major problem. I used 555k to clear something of 671k. |
Buhari did worse and even threatened to kill more, yet some people rebranded him as the best thing since salvation. Anyone who disagreed was labeled a hater, an enemy of the state, or a child of perdition. But when similar things happen abroad, those same people start foaming at the mouth. Leave America alone and focus on Nigeria, she's so rotten that the worst of America still bests her. |
ValCon888:Bros agreed to 15K before she started, he should pay. A laborer is worthy of her wages. |
Don't buy from Temu if you don't understand measurements. I see Nigerians crying on Twitter and TikTok that what they received is smaller than what they ordered, even though the length and width of the product are clearly written there |
AngelicBeing:This is coming from a gender that have sex with tap-water. 😂 😂 |
Sonnobax15:Men have always faced this issue, which is why our fathers married multiple wives so at least out of the three or four, one would be in the mood every two days. These days, men have almost completely lost control. If my wife denies me sex and I try to fix things but it doesn’t work, I’ll still have sex when I want to. It doesn’t make sense to remain faithful to someone who denies you intimacy. I remember being in a talking stage with a lady, and we had a conversation like this: She: If for a medical reason I stopped having sex with you, would you cheat? Me: It wouldn’t be cheating if you can’t give it to me. It’d only be cheating if I ignored what I have at home to get it elsewhere. She was shocked and asked if sex was that important to me. I said yes. Later, we talked about the number of kids we’d have. She said two, and I said three. She insisted that her mind was set on two and she can't handle the stress of considering a third. I said no problem, you give me two, and I’d get the third elsewhere. My sister ran. No be me you go pocket. |
pocohantas:I was thinking the same thing. My brother bought a car of 1.9M, used it for five years and sold it for 4.9M We're finished in this country |
OriOko88:The boy he slapped is her child. |
Areaboy2:3 out of 10 women cheat but 8 out of 10 women hate DNA test. Dey play. Women cheat more but men easily get caught. |
Christ4ever:The story doesn’t add up. She said her father died at the age of 40 and that he also opposed her first marriage. If she was 21 at the time, does that mean her father had her at 19? I’m not saying she lied about everything, but if you’re going to make statements like this online, you should also be able to identify the five men. Or have they all passed away? Knowing she was raped adds no value to society unless the rapists are pointed out and prosecuted |
Ask her to name her state of origin now, and she’ll tell you she doesn’t date broke guys |
thesicilian:Having one wife brings more wahala to a man than having two. Women naturally want to cause trouble when there's none so if you marry one, it is you and her but if there is another, na two of them dey drag. A man married to two women is proven to live longer than the man married to one woman. |
Nazgul:😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂. Pocohantas dey don carry your brother dash ndị Delta oo. |
Her type go use juju tie man down and when the juju expire and the man begin show them pepper, they will come to Twitter to say men are animals. You f you believe in those things. |
Nazgul:Not so in my place. Nothing can be done to claim the child a woman had for you outside marriage unless her family do not want the child. Doesn't matter if she's dead or alive, the child belongs to her father forever. |
Kewtt:I don't know much about these gases but I think I have seen recorded incidents where CNG caught fire. Or maybe they were lies too. I don't know. |
Kewtt:What's it please? |
Hunger deworms me and even deworms the worms sef so no issue. |
decatalyst:It will, if you already have land. |
pocohantas:Normals, you know it's assumed that the daughter is leaving her parents' house for the first time, so she's provided with everything she might need to start her new life. See bah, the focus is often on the bride price and the list but many families actually spend more settling their daughter than the groom spends fulfilling the list requirements. Alright then... I don forward am give Minister of Budgeting and Planning make he capture am for budget. |
pocohantas:I have been to several marriages in different cultures and I have never for once witnessed where the family didn't "settle" their daughter. Never. Even the very poor ones still give their daughters things. Happy new year to you ma. |
Dowry is most times bigger than the bride price. |
ceejay80s:In my culture, there is a middleman whenever a marriage is being contracted; a mediator of sorts. He is the one who gathers information from the bride's family and conveys it to the groom, and vice versa. When a marriage ends, he is the one who returns the bride price if he is still alive, or someone appointed by the woman's father if he has passed away. Wives don't return it, fathers-in-law don't, and not even the wife's sisters. |
Karleb:You're evil 😂 😂 |
frozen70:Why is it that you people always come up with irritating takes when the person in the wrong is your gender? How can we improve as a society if we keep blindly supporting our gender, even when they're clearly at fault? You're buying an anniversary gift for your husband, and you decide to get the exact same material and color for your brothers? As what exactly? If it were just a random gift, fine, we could argue it’s because they’re family. But an anniversary gift? Come on. Personally, if I were the husband, that gift would go straight into the back of my closet, never to be worn. What kind of nonsense is that? How would you react if your husband gives you an anniversary gift only for you to find out later that he bought the same thing for his mother and sisters? Let’s stop making excuses for bad behavior and call things what they are. |
