With all due respect I do not want to judge you for wanting a boy.

But it's heartbreaking that you write what you feel. It's being years I posted on NL but this really cut my .
Attention
Have you visited the health section on NL ?I think you should. I am actually worried about how you will take care of five children in the Nigeria of today.

I do hope you have a job o.Please visit anyone trying to conceive or anyone trying for ivf under the health section and thank God.

I have been trying for 15years and my spouse is still my rock.

We are not looking for a boy madam we want healthy children.

Stop worrying about how hubby feels and stop now so you don't end up having 8 girls.

I know too many people that went this route some even married another wife and ended up with 10girls .Be wise

He didn't set out to be a single parent.

He set out to be the best parent he can be to his children and as far as I can see, that hasn't changed at all. So?

Anyway, the joy of having a dad that's there for you no matter what is second to none. Every kid deserve that.

Some men will impregnate women and then run away.
They wouldn't even pay a dime to better their kids life but will spend on sex, alcohol, drugs and slúts...

Well sooner or later they'll realize that not being there to watch & support their kids as they grow will be their hell on earth. When they aged, everybody will desert them.

Please Dads out there make the effort.
Be loyal to your kids. Don't forsake them.

If only Dad's know ,this is the absolute truth. My day was never there.I.mean Never , I met him when I was 26 and the few times he called me after then was for money. He spent money partying and doing all sorts. His last days were pityful.I did my best to take care of him but he eventually passed on.I was not in the country when he died and he was buried according to Muslim rites.People ask me if we will do a final burial. My brother and I do not think it's necessary. I only wish Dad knows

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: How I Got A Job In An Oil Firm Through Nairaland! by tanidabi: 7:48pm On Jan 10, 2019
itsmeurLady:
Before i begin the Gist, lemme start by saying "Happy New Year to All NLanders! Wishing You All a Fruitfull and Productive 2019!"

I have joined Nl for quite a while now but i started taking it seriously when i got out of the Uni. Nl encouraged me through some posts to be serious and active with my LinkedIn account. From here, i got a special somebori @intelligentdude (not boyfriend ooo) that helped me profesionally create a CV for my jobhunting experience. Yes, Your Cv and cover letter goes a long way too. I never for once got rejected anywhere i submitted my CV + Cover letter but that's by the way. I Was active on the job/vacancies section here on NL and applied for jobs (excluding bank jobs tho). I also got past questions from here as well, some i bought, some i didn't buy grin. So i applied to a Graduate Trainee Job in an Oil firm as a Customer Relations Officer and after so much waiting, coupled with the Grace and Favour from God, i finally Got the job and i came here to say Thank You to NL and all the amazing people who continually post jobs on these platform, i am really greatful and also to the owner of NairaLand of course. May the Almighty God continually bless and increase all of you for impacting people's lives daily. Thank You Very Much! I also met a wonderful friend here on Nl, he has been a blessing to me as well. In other words, Nairaland is not totally useless like many think, it is what u make of it at the end of the day, Stay Focused and Positive!

You might be wondering why i am writing this and talking plenty but that's because you don't know how it feels to be jobless and you dont know what it means to be favoured out of many. Just like the story of the 10 lepers, i have come to say Thank You to this FORUM! For those who are still hoping to get employed someday, just hold on, you will share your testimony too. Continue applying and make sure you are doing it right, God's Grace will see you through some day. Dont Give Up, God is not done yet! it wasn't easy for me, there were days where i cried, some days i gave up, some days i felt depressed but i never lost faith and confidence in God. Against All Odds, i believed in myself and i believed in God.

Don't be idle if you don't have a job yet, get or learn a skill like tailoring, shoemaking etc and still be applying for jobs because one thing is to learn a skill and the other thing is to fund your business but just get a skill on standby and God will see you through.

Thank You Nairaland and Nairalanders!!!!!!!!! kiss kiss kiss kiss

Please I need someone to help redo my co and help.with LinkedIn profile. Any recommendations ?

@Nnewisuper

I believe you can only apply through vfs.You may want too read this up on their website.

As for the hotel booking I will tell you what I do.I book my hotel through booking.com and if my application says am going to France I book an hotel in France if I say am going to Amsterdam I book my hotel in amsterdam. Most of those bookings can be cancelled before you arrive you will see all that on the booking.com site. They normally ask for card details and they will state they are not debiting your money but just holding your card as a guarantee.once I get my visa I cancel the booking sharp cos if you don't they will debit your card on your arrival date.Sometimes I do not even wait till I get the visa I just cancel.I am not sure they verify the booking but you may want to thread softly if it's your first time.
Like I said in my previous msg after the first delay I experienced with Belgium embassy I stopped applying through them.Schengen visa grants you access to all the schengen countries so if you say I am going to France and you end up in Italy it's ok.

I work with ABinBev and I will also like to go Belgium for my Holiday, are you advising that I apply through French Embassy or through some other Schengen Countries?

It's up to you.Belgium usually takes time I guess it's just their process.

You can apply at any of the schengen countries. But apply to the favourable ones.If you are going to Belgium do not bother submitting your passport to Belgian embassy cos the first disadvantage is that it will go to Abuja.

Check vfs website and decide but you will not say you are going to Belgium, you can say you are going to France and when you get the visa fly to Belgium. Nobody will arrest you for that. French embassy takes minimum of 15 working days .

Google schengen countries and decide where to apply.
Travel / Re: It Has Been 60 Days And My Belgium Visa Isn't Out. Help! by tanidabi: 5:47pm On Dec 29, 2018
I understand there is a rule that says you enter first the schengen country you applied through.
So if for instance you apply at France embassy for schengen you have to fly first to France.

You can take another flight from France to Belgium or taken a bus .Google flixbus.

I normally apply for Netherlands visa through the French embassy (VFS) .French embassy processes Netherlands visa cos Netherlands visa is in Abuja.

So I fly directly though KLM or AF to Netherlands and take flixbus bus to Belgium.Infact when they ask me at the Amsterdam airport what am doing in ams I always tell them am actually heading to Belgium and I have never had a single problem. It is about 3 hours by road .You can also take a train

If you book bus in time its just about 10 euros.

Belgium is a lovely small country.I have been visiting twice every year since 2016.

I do not know the class of visa you applied for but if it's tourist I will suggest you call them
They pick calls between 9 and 10am every Monday to Friday.

It's actually frustrating trust me.If you are able to speak with them they will tell you the status of my application. I go to Belgium twice a year since 2016 but I apply through France. The only time I applied at Belgian embassy I was really frustrated. I applied in Sept and did not get my approved visa in November incidentally I got my passport on the day I was travelling.

The decision is usually made in Belgium so if you do not call the embassy here to know the status you will just keep waiting .

In my own case the one I got from the embassy I kept calling the abuja office and they told me what to do.I had to call Belgium office myself. This was in 2016.After that experience I started applying at the French embassy and it's been smooth sailing since.

I do not know the class of your visa but if it's tourist just call them up once you give them what they need they will make a decision.

But if you are impatient you can recall your passport but do not apply for a schengen immediately

That is why we are where we are and we are called a developing nation.
A country where wealth is determined by how many cars you drive , number of vacations you can have in a year how extravagant your wedding is and just a general oppressive mind set.

There is just no basis for this comparison, none at all.

I feel so insulted someone is even talking about this.

Brother I am deeply sorry you are going through this.
She obviously has a familiar or strange spirirt.
This is absolutely your call bur the marriage was founded on lies do I believe you have a right to work away.
I will however state that there are too many wrong people in the church.
Let me sound a note of warning here do not get carried away by people you meet in church .Pray to God to lead you if you are sincere you will know who to marry .Meanwhile Mr Poster you will now roll your sleeves and pray well-balanced those nonsense dreams will stop.Na only God fit deliver you o.ote author=lawman88 post=66611418]Good day Nairaland, please take your time to read the story. I will try to be brief and precise
I got married to my wife last year and will have been living peacefully. She is very respectful but I found out that she concealed many things and not everything she told me before the marriage was true. I felt hurt and don't give her the due respect.

I use to quarrel her about the lies she told me before marriage and she will wet the pillow throughout the night. I have threatened divorce and she will commit suicide if I divorce her.

Here are some of the lies she told & I believe her because I thought she was a church girl: She told me she has HND but it was ND she has. She told me she was pregnant before we marry but she was not. She cut down her age by 8yrs.

Now, anytime I quarrel all the lies she told and deceived me to marry her, I will dream of death in the night. Some time I seen myself dead & being buried or I had fatal accident and died. Even yester night I quarrelled her & I had a dream that my dad died in a ghastly accident. Any time I didn't quarrel, I will not have bad dreams.

What will I do now? I don't know if I leave her I'm going to die. The discovery of the lies has taken all her love from my heart and I have told her eldest brother that I'm not comfortable with the marriage anymore. I'm feeling so bad that a church girl who always speaking in tongues and praying always could deceive me this way. Everything was lies and I thought she was saying the truth because of the way she was committed to church [/quote]

I have no faith to take a chance of birthing sicklers n will avert that risk as much as I can.

I do not agree on that I have never heard of a church stopping marriages of AS couples I know they might discourage you but never stop you.

MissKim:
Please, Is Her Man Playing Her Or Just A Victim Of Circumstance?

HI

My girlfriend came to my house yesterday and during girls chit chat, she told me something that is kind of baffling to me.

She met this guy late 2015 on facebook and they later met in person. They have been in relationship since then till now. She told me she had 2 abortions for him last year immidiately she missed her period by taking a drug. He gave her his reasons, that he is not yet buoyant to foot pregnancy, baby, traditional marriage and that his place is too small to house relations that may want to visit.

She missed her period 4days ago and she told her boyfriend she will want to keep it and suggested him paying only bride price since he had the plan to marry her like he said, but he told her that, that will obstruct his plan to travel out by him making use of his budgeted money and also it is expensive for him now to keep to take care of pregnancy, mother and baby. He then suggested she starts taking unripe papaya, parsley leaves etc to miscarry since she just missed her period. She came to me feeling confused.

I told her if the guy truly loves her and want to make her future wife finances shouldn't be the problem...but in all, the decision is hers to make. It is obvious this guy is not that serious but may be wrong.

Just wondering how many of you would decide to marry their present girlfriend if such case presents itself. Though i do not support marriage because of pregnancy.
Ladies close your legs please he won't marry you cos he's already worried your womb is partially damaged
Romance / Re: She Desperately Wants To Marry Me by tanidabi: 7:45am On Aug 18, 2017
Think about this if she was your sister how will you feel am very sure the reason both parents are against this is because her womb has been compromised and am so sure the abortion was not a one time event suddenly you cannot marry her again. You destroyed her innocence ten years? No about of advice on NL will make you marry her if you don't want too at the end of the day it all falls on the ladies so ladies watch your back and stop aborting and wasting your precious time and life with time wasters

I currently work in a bank and by the way I was a contract staff in that same bank for 4 years. From my experience banks rarely convert contract employees in my own case I do not doubt it was the hand of God. At this point you should be thinking of doing your own stuff especially if all you have is still an Hnd I hope not though and for your information I had an HND and went back to school for a Bsc if I did not do that I won't have the job I have now I think we all need to push our selves extra hard.Forget about Labour law

Good morning mothers of great nations, please does anyone know any great fertility clinic in Netherlands especially The Hague, I will be there for 2 weeks and wanted to know if I could see a fertility specialist to rerun investigations. Please not just an Obstetrician or Gynaecologist but a hospital that also does ART(IVF/ IUI PROCEDURES). I need this info urgently as I would be there by weekend and I am finding it hard searching for one since there's a Dutch language barrier. Thank you.

@ praisefulmum am just seeing this ,i was incidentally @ the Hague about the same time,i suspect we were at the Hague for the same thing. But for what you want i think most people at the Netherlands go to Belgium.I understand ICSI was invented in Belgium,Belgium is about 2hrs 45mins from Netherlands by bus and i recall bus fee was just about 13euros even when i booked the night before.I went to Belgium for comprehensive medical checkup, and i will simply say they are wonderful people. They all speak good english so language will not be a barrier.Incidentally IVF is free up to 6 attempts if you live and work in Belgium. Can you imagine that?

This has got nothing to do with Buhari.

I used to work in Aero Contractors, when i was in Aero they were not doing commercial flights ,it was strictly chartered flights, the likes of Mobil,Chevron ,Shell were their clients.

Aero was grossly mismanaged by the management.

Ask the financial controllers they have been employing and maybe the Ibrus can also answer but this has got nada to do with APC or Buhari

I cannot say more than this but i know ACN as we fondly called it was ruined by management.

Ask them what happened to Schreiner airways,CHC helicopters

Not saying much

Unfortunately my dear lady i think you married a boy.
See below excerpts from a letter Pst Tony of TPH wrote to his daughters
]Don’t Marry a Boy:
Don’t marry a boy no matter how old he may be. Today, there are many boys masquerading as men. Your brother’s school principal once told us that their vision was to prepare the kind of men we would be proud to have as husbands to our daughters. I found that simple but thought provoking, and I have myself since committed to mentoring young men. Do not fall for any man who just shows you attention. Rather, follow the one who comes along and shows the graces that come from knowing Christ. Be attracted to tenderness, self-restraint, internal strength, consistency and sacrifice. Love the man who fears the Lord. I apologise for the incessant complaints about our young men. I regret that they often confuse lust with love. Many say that it is difficult to find a man with godly virtues, but I advise you to search for this otherwise you will spend a long time nursing a grown man. The man you should look out for should be one who cares for your needs above his own. If I am at all the man I claim to be, my display of love towards your mother should help you understand what it is I am describing. You should be able to recognize this sort of love when you see it. The man who will lay down his life for you is the type of man you can easily give your life to. The man who gives himself in sacrifice is easy to serve sacrificially.
