Jobs/VacanciesRe: Shell Discrimination Of HND Holders, Equating Them With Bsc Third Class. by tanidabi: 5:06pm On Nov 10, 2015
Guys let us stop wailing about HND/Bsc and put our destinies in our hands. The truth is we have to move pass this HND matter and there are so many organisations i believe that still take HND graduates, multinationals,at least i have five of my classmates working in MTN and they all have HNDs plus ICAn of course ,i finished from a polytechnic too ,if you ask me there's no pint in going there, after my HND i got a job as a full staff somewhere and in the process was studying for a Bsc,i moved to a bank as a contract staff and eventually became a full staff after four years ,not full staff with conditions o ,real full staff.Work your path yourself, leave other people and face your life,i am still looking for better jobs and all my colleagues who even has an HND are doing much better than me,stop complaining and move forward and imorove yourself

you obviously have seen the AS thread,it is well with you ,i had a phone consult with Dr March and he said he has loads o patients from Nigeria, scars may not reform if you see the right person,i know it's no small money ,there was anoda dr that was recommeded in indis, though he's a C-lister ,incidentally i spoke to him years ago when an uncle wanted me to gp to india. The name i thinnk is Dr Vivek Marwa,Sir Ganga ram hospital,he sure would be affordable ,na our Naira dey mess things up really
I have a schedule of the A,B and Clisters i could send to you if you want it,you can also do more reasearch ,seems a lot of ladies used regular drs and still got result,i even read of someone who used a doc in uch ,though i can't verify that.I think the starting point is to see someone in Nigeria first who will be realistic with you, incidentally when i spoke to Dr March he said he refers people for follow up at Premier,Dr Osinowo,if you feel up to it you may wanna try,my opinion though, but i personally won't allow anyone to touch my uterus,i can't afford Dr March too but in the mean time i will be watching, the truth is you may be lucky getting someone in Naija but it may think more than two or three.Another friend told me of somewhere in Egypt which i s really cheap.God will guide you
Xtiana250:
Goodmorning all,@ Ladyguinivere thank u for ur response. Actually a ballon(foley catheter was fitted inside me for 7 days to keep the walls of my uterus apart and prevent reform. I was placed on the pill microgynova(hormonal therapy) for 3 months to promote uterine healing and i also took antibiotics. So to ur question why there is adhesions after the surgery,i guess is bc my doctor is not skilled in the treatment of As. Adhesiolysis is a blind procedure has the tendency of making the adhesion get worse though i read that despite everyone's efforts, often the adhesions reform after surgery,so repeated surgeries may be needed to clear the uterus. But then scar tissue is created mostly from surgery so u see ...it could be such a vicious cycle! @ Tanidabi may God bless u for sharing. Am so sorry u re going tru dis too. I tried gettin in touch wit @Momma2 for d contact of d gynae dat did her hysteroscopy in Abu Dhabi bt ddnt get a response. I cannot affort to see Dr march in Los Angeles or Dr Trew in hammersmith London.
HealthRe: Anyone Trying IVF/IUI/ICSI (Fertility Treatments)? by tanidabi: 8:24pm On Nov 01, 2015
Hello dear,

With ashermans please do not be in a hurry to do the surgery.I had three ivf cycles in a space of ten 10months,the first one I had no follicles, the second one the xfer was difficult, so I was almost sure d ivf had failed, immediately I was asked to do an hysteroscopy and it was discovered I had adhesions, incidentally I had done an hysteroscopy a year b4 where a false passage was created in the womb,so my last xfer went to a psuedo cavity.Anyway na me even sauy could this be ashermans?I have done a lot of research abt ashermans and I understand not all Gynaes or FS can fix it that sometimes they may cause more damage, there's an asherams support grp on yahoo, they have a list of top A's B's and C's Dr's that specialise in AS.I have read stories of pple who did not have periods for 10months and after sugery they had periods and even got preggo naturally.Adhesiolysis is blind surgery so it's a no no.Like somone said she has only one womb and she will not allow anyone mess it up.I had a phone consult with one of the surgeons highly recommended and am hoping to see him sometime soon.Am at a point where I won't leave my womb for anyone to touch abeg.Na only one womb I get.Be guided well please. The first hyst I did in Naija was done by an FS in Lagos, medical director and he messed it up.God will guide you on making the right decison. The ashermans may be moderate since you still have a day cycle. All the best
Xtiana250:
Hello everyone, pls has anyone used horizon medical centre wuse Abuja? I have been scouring the posts for anyone's experience with Ashermans syndrome. Am planning to go for operative hysteroscopy soon. This next step is a big deal for me because i have done adhesiolysis which did not work so a repeat surgery is needed to clear the uterus of adhesion. I really pray for it to be successful to avoid further surgeries. My period is regular but short(1 day)and extremely light, the color has also changed from red to dark brown. Pls mamas dont read and run,pls share ur story, suggestion and recommendation. I would be grateful for any information.

@ HD yes Dr Emeka does provide excellent service no doubt but it's ok to let people air their views, let's not take anything personal.I am currently doing a training on customer experience so people do have various experiences,i have also used an FS that everyone i know used him has gotten bfp and i still have not.(However i got a diagnosis i have never gotten from another FS with him )If it was before i would have said the FS is not good but IVf is a game of numbers,i just think people's expectation should be properly managed. If u are lucky to get a bfp at the first attempt good for you,if i use an herbalist for ivf and get bfp after my first attempt i probably will worship the herbalist
I used Dr Emeka in 2013 and i still called him this year,he did not pick but he later returned my call and i was shocked when he called my full names on the phone and that really blew my mind away but not everyone has pleasant experience.Let people be free to make informed decision
Let's just say sometimes patients and drs have their bad days ,i am a service specialist myself and there are times i want to slap my customer.
There are IVF clinics i do not think i want to ever visit but people are getting results there so y not?
HealthRe: Anyone Trying IVF/IUI/ICSI (Fertility Treatments)? by tanidabi: 12:15pm On Oct 29, 2015
Fortunately and unfortunately ttc is in itself crazy, the reality is that the cost of doing business in Nigeria is very high and like most business owners they just take advantage of people everyone wants to make money, some few years ago i wanted to use Dr Ashiru and i was told he was not a gynae,i still do not know how far this is true but another doctor told me you do not have to be a gynae to do IVF,Fertility specialist and gynae are two diffrent things completely, the reason why most gynaes do ivf in Nigeria is because it's quick money.
I have used Emeka before and i do not know if he is a gynae a not even me with the little experience i have now with ivf i can decide to start.I have been treated in the past by someone who never went to study medicine at all and he does fibroid surgery for people ,of cos my sixth sense told me to run for my dear life.

If you have been lucky to get pregnant through ivf in Nigeria,i say congratulations, some of us are not lucky yet,if you work for yourself and you can afford to go outside the shores of Nigeria, please do while i do not really have anything against any of them i just feel most of them are more interested in collecting your money than carrying your child. Why would a clinic for instance tell me to pay NGN5mm for several tries,i get the impression this FS don't even do their best to make it work the first time

TTc is bad enough,if you are an agent on this platform tell your bosses to show some care to their patient, there are cheaper options, india, egypt and SA.My friend got her BFP in egypt after several attempts in Naija, ultimately it is God but agents should please pretend to care at the least.I want to leave my job but the only thing keeping me on the job is ivf money.Very soon Ivf will become so so cheap ,it's a matter of time

And if you can adopt or use surrogate please do cos we are not getting younger and we just need to move on with our lives and stop putting our lives on gold.

With all due respect to the men folk a lot of men are becoming selfish and just irresponsible,so how do u expect the woman to care for six children. There are too many wives that have become bread winners even when the hubby has money.Men need to sit up and realise that what makes a man is not their 3rd leg,if there is no govt what will happen, very soon this will become a norm when the hubby sees that the govt has come to their aid he will come back home. What happened to the dignity of labour?Women will be killing themselves working and men will be watching African magic and even have the guts to ask for food? This is sad

VICTORIA91:
Dear NL,

I'm 25 years old, I met this guy online via chatting and before i knew, we met and we fell deeply in love. This guy is irresistible when we met and i never prayed for something more, because he was so caring, lovely and loving, not only that he is so tall and handsome as i have always prayed for. After a month we knew each other better and every minute i rang him up, he later told me and revealed to me everything about him, because he is not the flamboyant type of guy, i hardly notice that he is loaded.

At age 33 he has a lot of properties and work with a Ministry in Lagos, seconded employment with one int'l institution, he got me int'l passport and took me out of Nigeria shore for the first time in my life. I am from an average family and I'm not easily moved with material things, I'm a working class lady earning moderate salary and living well, i had a relationship before him but not a stable one.

He later revealed to me that he has something to tell me that might tear us apart, i made up my mind since it would not lead to my death, i bet i have reached my bus stop, because he is also in love with me. What a perfect match!. Until the day he bursted it out that he is married with kids and he was sweating and breathing so restlessly, waiting for me to breakup with him, i reassured him i will still love him at that, he explained he impregnated the girl and his family forced him to marry the girl...in short, three kids, two boys and a girl from the woman,(first boy and a twins).

I almost fainted, but pretended as if all is well, at least he still managed to tell me to let me decide to continue or not. We both continued and this month make our 6th month and he is already talking about our marriage, he tried divorcing the first wife, but get warned to let her be to make peace reign, i noticed he loves me so much and also loves his children too well too. He is traveling out soon to study for his PH.D. He wants me to get pregnant for him and do the needful with my family and declare his intentions of taking me as his second wife to his first wife and family...But at this stage i have doubting mind maybe i'm ready to go on or not..i don't feel like ruining the woman's home, and i don't feel like losing this my sweet love, he is not forcing me and he wants me to decide for myself....

Please help me dearies, abuse are allowed at least maybe it will straighten my brain..but i sincerely love him, he promised to settle me down in another state and assured me that all will be well. The issue is i'm so CONFUSED.

All the best in your search

You are a virgin but we do not know if you have sexually molested a child

Virgins know your type and if they have too they will fake virginity by all means

Not a bad idea to marry a virgin but i have met a woman who married as a virgin and slept with more men as a married woman

I went for a training on child sexual abuse in church and we were told that when people are in constant adultery its a sign they were sexually abused man and woman inclusive

My stand has always been let him that stand take heed lest he falls. All the best in your quest for a virgin
SeverusSnape:
This is one of the numerous reasons I'm scared of getting married. Most women these days are wh0res.

I always advice guys to do a thorough background check before tying the knot with any woman, because women of nowadays are not like our chaste mothers who all married our fathers as virgins.

Anyways, No time to waste time. As for me, It's a virgin or nothing. I won't settle for less. I'm not saying virgins can't cheat, but they are less likely to do so.

...And for your information, I'm a Virgin. Before you start asking...

I work in one of the banks on Allen and our ears are so full of all this fraudulent dealings, when I nd to buy or sell usd I call one of them into my office we have been using him for years.Unfortunately there's so much defrauding going on around there.you are even lucky,a woman had bought $10000 from them and before she got to the banking hall the money was missing. If you nd to do business in Alade look for someone trustworthy if not it's a no no,most of the yoruba guys der have faked the hausa accent so you will think u are dealing with an hausa man.I do not think the hausa pple are guilty.I have even had to confront one of them before and pls don't do business with them at night abeg

In the last 4weeks I have read at least one sexual abuse story every week.
I think all men need to make a decision to protect the girl child,i can't imagine that man sticking whatever he calls it in his dota's mouth. We shld be more concerned about that innocent child cos if not properly rehabilitated ahes a potential prostitue, adultress just name it.I am yet to see or hear of someone who sleeps around who was not sexually harrased as a child,a lesbian was sexually abused and the cycle continues. Not only fathers are guilty, uncles are, neighbours are, aunties are, thankfully more women are getting empowered and knowledgeable that's y we are hearing all this.Every woman shld get a job o so that when you find yourself in this situation you don't need one yeye inlaw to tell you to keep it in house and then start worrying abt where ur nxt meal will come from, women also abuse o so it's not just the men.Let's all take the responsibility to watch over the kids around us

Not all abt the Dr's, u just have to be your own advocate
My FS told me something I completely disagree with. Not that he means any harm but I think he has limited info on dat mata,so I googled people who have had similar issues and what they did.Keep asking questions,if your FS no get answer ask Dr google.I have read stories of peole who were told they will need a surrogate but out of curiosity they researched Dr's who could fix their womb and they eventually got preggo and naturally sef.Like a friend said there are people who know their job well.Seek them

mamacajah:
Morning @Godmercy2015, what exactly have you done? what was the results of the investigative test you did? That would determine which supplements to take.

I also did what you are trying to do now, to prepare my body physicaly for a 2nd IVF when I conceived naturally by GOD's grace last year. I had researched and read a lot of things here, on the ttc thread, weight loss thread and the alternative to ttc threads on the need to prepare myself before starting the IVF cycle . Truth is only a few centres in Nigeria would tell you to embark on this body preparation process, most would deceive you to start as soon as possible, as a trial and error case. If you are amongst the few .001% to get a BFP on your 1st or 2nd trial, you are very fortunate. Most people get theirs after several trials.

Meanwhile I learnt one key information that it takes the body 3 months to produce a good egg/sperm, so ideally one should prepare themselves 3 - 6 months before embarking on any cycle. But we all so impatient to get the result immediately. Yet in the long run, its when we meet this time target that most of us get our solution(ironic ?) after spending so much time and money. It is well. We can only improve from our past mistakes and move forward towards our goals. Don't mind me, I am just reminiscing on my 12 year journey to hold my baby girl in my arms. wink

Becos I was diagnosed of ovarian failure due to low AMH, hormonal imbalance, I took ACV (apple cider vinegar with braggs), Fertlitea daily from AF to O, took grape juice in the mornings for the week of O, did castor oil massage from after AF to O (only did it 2ice), took Vit E, royal jelly 3-in-1 combo (royal jelly, bee pollen, bee propolis), DHEA and folic acid. changed my diet, stop eating sugary things like sweets, chocolate, cake, biscuits.. anything processed and sweet. Reduced my rice intake, switched to beans, ugwu, titus fish, chicken(boiled), quaker oats in the morning with boiled broccoli/apple, did lots of fruit juice (watermelon, carrot, apple, cucumber, cabbage), tigernut milk, changed my cooking oil to less cholestrol (wesson) and if i had to use oil, just very very little. Gave my hubby tomatoes juice (blended 2 big ripe tomatoes) every day with his meal in the evening along with the varied fruit juice I did every two days. Men I spent money on fruits, no bi small..lol. I also did the water therapy thing ( drinking lots of water in the morning, during the day and at night) and exercise (walking for a minimum of 40 mins twice a week / using the staircase at work). I believed all these things contributed to my success story. Most importantly I spent time praying and working on my faith.

Wish you the best and that you also come out with your testimony.
@mamacajah congrats I believe so much in alternative therapy pls pm me on dketubah@gmail.com abeg

It's amazing how people call 1.8mm,5mm or even 2.3mm like money is picked on the streets ,i know not less than ten people who used other clinics and got BFP either after the first or second attempt and some spent less than 1mm.My friend got her bfp after just one attempt in Egypt and she said drugs were abt 100k(NGN) and procedure was about 14,000egyptian pounds, meanwhile she tried severally in Naija.Personally if i have 1.8mm i will go outside the shores of this country,i know it does not work abroad all the time too but i will rather spend 1.8mm somewhere outside the shores of Naija than Naija, while i do not discredit Naija clinics cos truthfully they have tried, they still need to urp their games. In doing ivf make we sharp up and not get bankrupt in the process abeg.If you are having repeated implantation failure and you have had fibroid surgery,or a miscarriage where an evacuation is done i think you should google uterine adhesions.

Please nairalanders help me out.I am not an expert when it comes to writing, but i will still manage to drive home my point to the best of my capacity.

I proposed marriage just of recent to my spouse and went ahead with the family introduction.I have ever since been making preparations for the wedding.

I had told her in our previous interactions that i cancelled the marriage preparations with my ex when she told me she had once aborted a baby for her ex,which made her bleed for days.she told me back then that she was scared her womb was damaged because the pregnancy was 3 months old when she carried out the abortion.she pleaded with me to still marry her, reminding me of God's ability to perform miracles, even though she admitted that it was a difficult thing for any african man to do.I immediately called it quit between the both of us and moved on to my current spouse.

Just yesterday in one of our outings,my fiancée opened up to me that she once had an abortion in the past.she begged me not to call it "quit” with her, assuring me that no damage was done.

Am confused here because i can't handle the trauma of childlessness and a lot has been going through my mind. I love her and she loves me too.

Please advice me.

Do i continue with the marriage ?
Do i accept that it is my destiny to settle down with
a lady that has done abortion in the past ?
Do i insist she get pregnant for me before our wedding ?
Do i just go ahead and marry her with a positive

Please help me out of this quagmire..
Sincerely I blame the two of them for opening up to u,have u ever impregnated a girl before cos while am not justifying their abortions, don't forget that a woman can't impregnate herself, someone got her pregnant. The decision is urs but u guys shld cut some slack abeg,i have met virgins who still never get belle five years down the line, sometimes also infertility may be an issue with the man's sperm, sincerely I feel u shld let go cos it's obvious u will run away at the appearance of any challenge, people have aborted three times and have four children, people have married as virgins and still praying for children.I think a lot of men do not deserve to know the truth sincerely cos they just can't handle it.Don't think u are doing her a favour by marrying her, marriage is good but women are becoming to realise that if it does not work life will continue, the choice is yours,i think evry man shld know that once they are marrying a non virgin they shld prepare their minds, na man dey give woman belle what if the person that impregnated her insisted on d abortion and she just was confused, she did not know what to do.Make up ur mind oga,if u break up with her at least she now knows she won't tell the next guy say she did abortion.Let him who has not sinned throw the first stone people

I am so tired of men and God and prophecies,am so tired, pray to God urself, let no man deceive u,God's prophecy edifies,it does not bring Fear it brings peace, even when I hear God abt somethings I keep it to myself, who send dem msg.Kenneth Hagin of blessed memory who all this men of God use as a mentor said he can count the no of times he has heard the voice of God,when God speaks to me it brings peace and assurance and it's always quiet. The bible say all of us are gods we are all men of God,let's stop listening to all dis permutation, gosh.God get work to do for heaven o chai
Christianity EtcRe: He Was Asked To Return His Waec Certificate ?? by tanidabi: 12:42pm On Mar 29, 2015
U know I was reading my bible y'day and I noticed dat most of the miracles Jesus did had no condition, while I do not agree or disagree with what his pastor said I think I am so tired of Christians depending on pastors for instruction from God,the gospel is so simple and that's y we are missing it,i want to start living in d simplicity of the gospel, tired of all dis bondage pls,Jesus did not ask Zachheaus to return what he returned,na self righteousness dey worry am,my advice is go to God urself just like he talks to your pastor he will talk to u,make no man of God buga mi abeg.abi woman of God too, there is no big deal in returning certificate just be prepared to start all over, but Jesus did miracles for pple without even referring to der sin. That's the Jesus I choose to follow, talk to God urself nd know ur God urself that's what he desires enuf of all dis men becoming intermediaries

RomanceRe: On Nigerian Women And (lack Of) Future Ambition by tanidabi: 8:39am On Sep 23, 2014
I did not completely read this piece but I think I have a fair share of what the op is trying to say, unfortunately I completely disagree with you as this thinking rarely exists anymore,y do u think some babes will even sleep with a man to get a job if they can as well marry a rich man,yes when we were all in school we fantasised about getting married one day and having kids but the reality is the economy we leave in now makes the woman financially independent too and any woman who is still fantazing about marrying her night in shinning armour should please have a job cos woman your finances matter in the scheme of things o,infact the kind of men out there now no wan marry jobless babes o,so while you are out there dreaming plan your life,no man wants to marry a full time house wife anymore, can't even believe some people still think this way
