EducationRe: HND vs First Degree Battle Is Now In Court by tanidabi: 6:42am On Jul 07, 2014
It was not d govt dt started discrination it was private organisations and they also capitalise on the job situation in nigeria I have been on both sides of the coin I have an hnd from yabatech nd a bsc from one very useless university like dat yabatech was a lot better but most of us dat did d bsc den had masters and ican so we just needed the bsc nd am glad I did cos I won't be working where I am now without the bsc even if dis mata is resolved at the court I do not see any diff it will make cos we no get labour law for naija so hnd holders don't bother to wait for govt o do what u have to do some private universities even take hnd holders now for direct entry a friend of mine with an hnd and aca with loads of work experience lost his job one time like dat he went to babcock for a bsc nd I think he's beta for it now cos he got three big jobs at the same time unfortunately we are a certificate driven country
PoliticsRe: Don't Contest 2015 Election- Prophet Warns Jonathan by tanidabi: 11:52am On Jan 06, 2014
the true test of a prophet is one whose prophecy comes to pass. It's very unfair for a prophet to keep seeing doom and talking negative to cause fear in people.God is a loving God and if we pray he will avert this things .Prophecies are meant for the edification and building of the body of christ and not otherwise.Who does not know how easy it is for a northerner to become president? when did that one become news or prophecy.

Christians wake up and know your bible ,enough of all this deception and bondage.

FamilyRe: Is It Right For A Husband To Discuss Every Plans With His Family? by tanidabi: 10:14am On Dec 18, 2013
I can't stand men that just can't be men.

It's so easy for women to leave and cleave,my dear let me tell you what has worked for me in this matter.

Na prayer o,not prayer that my hubby shld not share stuffs with his family but that God should give him the understanding of what it means to cleave and because God knows that marriage is the union of just two people he answers me speedily

Men are naturally very insensitive,it will amaze you that that same brother he shares things with will never tell him anything abt himself

Don't ever try to come between him and his sibs cos they can't stand that but prayerfully stand your ground as madam of the house, when the chips are down this folks are not there o,be close to your inlaws but plesae set BOUNDARIES no matter how much they love you their son will come first.

Some things should stay between u and hubby,it's only normal, marriage is a deep mystery.

My brother in law used to give me loads of issues when i got married, he lived with us from day 1 of our weddinghe was just a trouble maker and my hubby was helpless he cld not do anything abt it,infact hubby was fighting me that am the trouble maker ,incidentally we had to move apartments so i just went on my knees and told God i do not want him to move in with us and o boy that my prayer was so answered, infact quickly answered, though we had enuf space to accomodate him and hubby kept encouraging him to move in with us,i did not even discuss anything with hubby as my hubby dey beg am to move in i was telling God he must not move in with us o and he did not.Now he's married and he so jealously protects his wife nobody can harrass her.

You are a woman and you have the power right on your knees,it worrks like magic as long as you are not manipulative

Hello everyone,

Thanking God for the testimonies
@Zaramum,i did lap at UCH too in 2009 with just 40k

I had attempted to do it earlier at an high brow hosp in VI at 350k at that time but i had a cardiac arrest in the process and so it was cancelled

I eventually did it the same year with just 40k,a professor did if for me,he works in UCH but we did the procedure at a catholic hosp in Ibadan, but i do not think they have all those screens that the lagos clinics have(Not sure though) and i did mine under mils anesthesia so i was awake and had an idea of what was going on but i was drowsy

All the best

I also feel if you have lost two pregnancies cos of fibroid ,it may have to be a major surgery,a lot depends on the size but please be well informed
HealthRe: Is Endoscpe Better Than Normarl C S (operation), Which Hospital Does Endoscope by tanidabi: 6:04pm On Nov 13, 2013
Removing fibroid via endoscopy will depend on the size,so if it's a very big one,i do not know the definition of a big one though you may have to be opened up,but if it's something tiny they can just do a small incision to get it out.

Whatever you choose to do make sure you go to a thorough professional and please pray

childless: congratulations to daddy triplets,
how i wish my lord will use this house to direct me on what next to do to get pregnant
becos am fed up with every thing,
i did not know about this tread until yesterday when i sign into ttc tread and someone
sugested that this tread will be of a help to my problem

i got married since 2002, did sugery to remove fibroid six month bf wedding, tried for 3 yrs after weding no result.
i went for scan and they saw another five big fibroid after removing it with invasive surgery,
no child, we headed for ivf, when running the necessary test, they discoverd fluid and blockage
in one tube the tube was cut off to enable ivf sucees after first and second failed cycle, they discover endo,
they did some procedure to
eliminate endo, since 2009 after endo was treated till now i have not missed my menses for one day,
even as the docs promise me that i can conceive with one good tube, two months ago i went for pelvic scan,
hsg another fibroid was seen again,
the one and only tube is blocked, have i come to the end of the road?
can i still get pregnant in this type of situation? does any woman has my
type of problem and later conceive in this house? pleas i need your suport.
Hello Joyful mother,na this kind situation God specialises in,I know it can be so overwhelming, but at this point maybe you shld seek a fresh opinion on all this, cos u seem to have gone thru some surgeries,in the mean time am learning to trust God more, thank God for doctors and science but na the tin wey God gree happen go happen,I have been having an heated arguement with my gynae for some weeks now nd by y'day I just said to myself,God proof to this dr that he's not God,have ivf in view but trust God more, solomon said God makes all things beautiful in his time, but king nebucadnezer said God changes time and seasons,am going thru this too for a very very shortwhile too and sometimes I feel so clueless and lost, but this will not defeat u or me or anyone else still in God's waiting room cos none shall be barren,God is a caring and loving father, don't give up at all,u go born your OWN at least u get womb, some people no get and miraculously dem still born and not via surrogacy, check out a blog keepingmyeyeonjesus, she's a south african who had a similar experience and just when she said to herself no more treatments cos she had not less dan 4 failed cycles, she said she just decided to believe the word of God more and 7mths later she fell pregnant naturally, her son is abt 3yrs old now, keep the faith,I know its tiring but know that am still in God's waiting room too so I have a sense of what u are feeling.God is on your side

FamilyRe: Dad Begs For Forgiveness For Defiling His Daughters. by tanidabi: 8:21pm On Jul 11, 2013
White007: LAGOS - Policemen attached to Ikotun division in Lagos have arrested a man alleged to have been having carnal knowledge of his two daughters between the ages of 10 and 13, in the past two years.

His daughters reportedly claimed to have been going through what they described as horrible experience since their mother left them for another man.

Unable to resist their father, they endured until the elder girl confided in her friend's mother, who then contacted some child rights groups.

The organisations were said to have effected the man's arrest at his 29, Omooye Street, Abaranje, last Saturday and handed him over to policemen at Ikotun division.

Explaining, the elder child (names withheld) said: "Our father started it when I was 11 years old. I did not know he was doing same to my sister who was then eight years.

I only got to know when I saw her blood stained undies and when I demanded to know whether she had started seeing her monthly flow, she revealed that our father slept with her the previous night. He usually crept to either of us at night whenever he wanted to satisfy his urge. He was the one who dis-virgined us."

I beg to be forgiven -Suspect

On his part, the 35-year-old suspect , a commercial bus driver identified as Adewale Adeleke, admitted to the police that he committed the sacrilegious act. He claimed, however, that he did not know what usually comes over him at that point.

Hear him: "I beg to be forgiven. This is the handiwork of the devil because I do not know what usually comes over me. What usually happened was that the urge would just come and before I know it, I would be with either of them."

When news of the act reached the mother of the children who resides in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, she reportedly rushed to Lagos, where she was quoted as saying that she was shocked beyond words.

She reportedly said she was forced to leave her husband because of alleged battering, in spite of the fact that she was the one responsible for the upkeep of the home. She said while leaving, she handed her two children to her mother with the intention of sending them monthly allowance, only for their father to go and take them.

Executive Director of Esther Child Rights Foundation, Mrs. Esther Ogwu, said her foundation was making effort to ensure that the woman would take custody of her children, adding also that the arrest of the suspect was a first step to ensure that justice was done.

The two girls are now under police protection while their father will be arraigned at the Ejigbo Magistrate's Court by the police.

When contacted, Lagos State Police Command, Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Ngozi Braide confirmed the arrest of the suspect, saying that he would be arraigned in court soon.

wonyi: @ good evening everyone. I pray my question doesn't sound offensive. I WAS WITH MY HAIR STYLIST, she's been married for 5 years now, and no issue. She said her friend just gave birth to triplet (2 boys n a girl) after 21 years. A lady(customer) just said it was IVF, n she thinks its a sin . Can u Imagine?the lady saying that is married with a kid. I told my stylist that
1. God gave the knowledge of IVF to assist couples.

2. It is only possible with God.

3. it's modern technology n its there to make life convenient just the way u ride a car n I turned and asked her,is it in the bible that we shouldn't drive a car, yet u own one. just like that couple that waited 21yrs n GOD NOW BLESSED THEN THRU IVF, WOULD THEY HAVE WAITED ALL THEIR LIFE N DIED A BARREN COUPLE? SHE SAID PATIENCE.

4. I told her faith without work is ......................she asked where is the work? I told her the pain, expectation, sleepless nite of searching for a good doctor, prayers, money and trust( in the hands of doctor) is enough work.
5.She gave a loud sound like mockery n said people that do IVF cant jump ,sit properly n they carry their body like eggs. and she finally said nothing like God's gift. I looked at her and pitied her because those cruel words came from a graduate and an adult maybe not matured.
I got home and started thinking, that people are funny. she cared less and talked stupidly. I told my stylist to get a good Doctor and she said she is doing that n I said she should embrace modern technology and dont allow people mislead her.

Pls house, IS IVF A SIN?
@ wonyi it is well I guess if ivf is a sin we might as well all be on our way to hell.We live in Nigeria so don't be surprised at what people say, don't even bother to talk to her anymore abt dis mata, the copule that had trips after 21yrs,sometimes when I hear those testimonies I ask myself would they have waited dis long if they have done ivf?maybe or maybe not, sometimes I guess God wants to proof to us all that he's still God,a couple I heard off finally had a girl last year after 20yrs,at dat time hubby was 50 nd madam was 49,of cos dey were so happy but I learnt d hubby said y did they have to wait this long when they cld have done ivf since, whilst not putting your hope on ivf,I just feel its not a bad idea to know what's going on in ur body,am a xtian nd I also get confused with dis faith without works thing,am like shld I just fold my hands nd keep praying or see a doc?no one has all d answers o,am awake now cos am thinking and asking God for how long more?I guess mercy mercy will speak.
@ bucacious how are u?The God of sarah is on ur side
FamilyRe: Your Experience During Childbirth In Nigeria by tanidabi: 9:58am On Jul 06, 2013
The truth is Nigeria is peculiar, but we still have some few professional, anything can go wrong anywhere,Nigeria,or otherwise,it's just tha chances are high in Naija, like someone said maybe Ewar was AS some docs don't even know that AS patients need extra oxygen wen been given anesthesia,I had a procedure done once at an highbrow hosp in VI,highly equipped cos dat was d first time I was seeing a heart monitor live for the first time in my life, the last thing I remember was the injection on my hands,6hrs later I woke up and the MD came to my bedside nd said we cancelled the procedure,u had a CARDIAC ARREST,I was 29 at that time,o boy with an oxygen task beside me nd a nurse stationed at my side with strict instructions I shld not move an inch my hubby was so scared ,anyway few months later,my broda calls from UK nd tells me anytime u are going for a surgery tell dem u are AS cos his gp told him that AS patients are susceptible to cardiac arrest,I told the yeye anesthethist dat nd he said he's not heard of dat b4,I had to do anoda procedure dis year at anoda clinic and the moment I told him of the cardiac arrest episode he simply said am not gonna take chances ,he brought in a specialist anesthetist dat cost me extra 280k but o boy it was so worth it,evrytin went so fine that he was wondering y I had a cardiac arrest in the first place,so people like I always say ask questions o ,they don't really like it wen u ask questions but pls ask and if u feel comfortable going abroad pls go,but it can happen anywhere, two of my bosses had ugly experiences abroad.

@redeemersave na wah o,na real wah, unfortunately this people are not regulated. This is ridiculous but God dey.

SA to the best of my knowledge does not do more than 2 embies o,infact the two people i know that went there did theirs when they were over 40 and they both said the FS insisted on 2 thankfully they both conceived with two but and one had a set of twins and the other had one cos she lost one.
There are so many clinics in SA but the three that i think are popular are :
Medfem fertility in Jo'burg(The most expensive)about 50,000zar I think this with ICSI though
Cape town fertility cape town abt 38,000zar
Vitalab clinic Jo'burg(not sure)
Google them and send a mail they will respond

God is able

The people i know used cape town and medfem

i've been holding myself from posting since y'day when i saw blendy's post.I am so heartbroken, what this tells me is that he can use any stored semen or even egg of patient a for patient b,God this has to pass o looks like everyone is just an opportunist
It's ok to use donor sperm with consent of the parents but why convince patients that have relatively good sperm,is it that he can't do the work of sorting the good from the bad or what?I rest my case.

Everyone take care

Fruitful ruby: Hello people,
I am new to the group and have been blessed with the testimonies ave read and all the information people have willingly shared.i am equally happy that I have people that share and understand what it's like to be waiting on God for the fruit of the womb.
I have been tic for the past 5years,had a miscarriage in 2011 and have not conceived since then.
Prior to then I have had 4failed icsi which is what I will not wish my enemy.
I have had poor responses to all my procedures ,producing a maximum of 5 embryos ! My Doctor is God fearing, understanding and concerned about our plight.

We are thinking of going through another cycle however haven't made up our mind on the hospital to use as it won't be advisable to use same hospital where I hve experienced 3failed cycles.
I was diagnosed with fibroids although they are less than 3cm and located outside the womb, polyps, recurrent UTI which a doctor said may be due to retroverted womb. cry.
The good thing is that I have so much faith that this year 2013 will surely be my year of testimonies.

I want to find out if there's any test that can be done to identify reasons for implantation failure,2-how to increase my embryos response to treatment ,3- I have heard of a Dr Emeka and Dr Ikeh on this blog, please what is the name of their hospital?does anyone know the success rate of Rodding Hospital lagos?

My tubes are clear as I have done hcg and laproscopy recently.
Thanks and may Almighty God grant each and every one of us our desires speedily as his word says he shall satisfy our mouths early with his mercies
@fruitful ruby,if your tubes are fine maybe u shld try IUI first ,usually with open tubes abroad, they do ovulation induction first, den IUI before IVF or ICSI,whatever u choose to do pls pray and trust God,he's the giver of all gifts

vanitty: You don't want advice, you just need to vent but you are obviously disturbed and you been unhappy will eventually affect your home.

In situation like this, please do not attempt to "complain" especially since hubby seems to be tied to his mother's wrapper or start some silly competition. (Me or her)

There are many ways to skin a cat I tell you, I will advice you to be in fact more involved, be in their "business" it will be awkward at first especially if you are not the in-your-face kind of person

If mama want her son to be reading three passages every night, you are her inherited daughter, open bible and start reading with husband.

If mama calls at unholy hours, after they have spoken, tell hubby to pass you the phone and talk to her as well.

If mama reminds you that she used to be the owner of the wardrobe, playfully tell her that hubby will have to buy another one niyen o because you are now part of the family.

You need to do everything "politely and respectfully" to let it sink in to both son and mama that you are now one, this is a process but you will see with time when she is assured that you are not "stealing" her son away she will relax and back down!

It is well, in-laws especially single mothers that suffered eh to train up their children, you have to deal with them diplomatically at times. It is not easy for them to just let go
I love dis,in addition to this I have personally learnt to pray wen it comes to inlaws n God will hear cos in the eye of God ur mil na 3rd party,God will help mothers nd like someone said it depends,ur hubby shld tell her outrightly not to call at odd hours, but he's mum's boy, pray u will be surprised how der God will take care of dis situation, let me share something with u though not d same but maybe u can learn from it,my bro in law used to live wit us from d day we got married,it was not a prob initially but d guy just became a nuisance overnite causing fight btwn me nd hubby,I was not wise den I will report him to his bro my hubby, mistake no 1 nd hubby go fite me,den we decided to move,we got a bigger apt dt my bil will even have a room der,wen we paid for d room I told God I mite be selfish o dt he shld 4give me but I want to leave peacefully in my house with my hubby,no extras,in d mean time I was telling my bil dt we have room for him o dt he can move in with us,he no follow us o,God heard my prayer well,d odas fought me later but God gave me wisdom to handle dem,it will amaze u how God will fite for u by d way u no be second wife u be only wife forever.

Marriage counselling is key,the prob is we are too religious to ask for help,I have three pple I confide in,one has been married for over 30yrs and d oda 2 for abt 10-15yrs,pastors also have marriage challenges, but I notice der's a lot of burden placed on women to make marriage work,I talk to marriage counsellors cos they are professionals and its der job nd dey make sense to me ,if our men listen to dem marriages will be better, when u need help talk to professional councellors not neceSsarily pastors

To all joyful mothers of children I say gd morning,God is not a man that he should lie o neither is he a son of man that he shld repent, like someone said let's be busy, get ur mind off bfp,its tough I know but occupy ur minds with something else,if u are on bromocriptine don't stop o, I used bromo for 5mths nd I conceived the 6th month, though I miscarried nd fyi I was using it 3X in a day,so sometimes it takes month and I hear when u stop the prolactin level keeps increasing, ttc is tough, very tough but evrybody I meet keeps telling me not to give up and keep fighting even though they never gimme 1k for a single test,nd for difficult hussies,I wonder y marriages are more difficult without kids but we all have stuffs we are battling with.God will stregthen us.Our best days are here,if they never drive u comot be grateful. My hubby was telling me abt someone who packed out cos her hubby was making her life unbearable nd test revealed dat her hubby was d prob anyway she packed out and a year later anoda woman moved in and has a baby now and she said not a single member of her hubby's family has called her to ask after her in the last one year, now she's looking for a job cos she gave up evrytin for her hubby, life throws all sorts at us but we need to keep living and fighting either u have a supportive hubby or not,I had a near death experience in 2009 at d hosp,if I had died my hubby wld have remarried nd possibly have a child now ,does dat mean he does not love me?No but life has to continue, women we owe ourselves the responsibility to stay sane and alive no matter what,God is the giver of all gifts, for evry supportive hubbys God will honour and keep you,nd for the difficult one God will honour and keep you, what if ur sister was going thru this nd her hubby treats u d way u treat ur wives,a family friend I know lost her hubby few months ago though they have kids, wen I went to see her she was all smiles like nothing happened, wen I asked my aunt y she see seemed to have moved on so fast, the response was unbelievable, her hubby was a useless man wen he was alive ,infact b4 I left she had a male friend who came to visit nd she introduced d mail friend as a dear friendhuh? My hubby has been complaining dt I don't take care of my self,no make up,nothing so I've decided to go enroll in a make up sch at d end of the month and be the woman he met some yrs ago.God is on ur side, don't give up.Marriage is gd but it does not fulfill u ,only GOD can fulfill any one

HealthRe: Panic Attacks by tanidabi: 7:56pm On Jun 05, 2013
I've had episodes of panic attacks since 2009 nd I understand u perfectly wen u say the hospital pwople think you are loosing it,the truth is wen it happens it cld be scary,in my own case I insisted on doing a CT scan of my brain to be sure all is well,I also see a neurologist once in a while,he gives me anti depressants, but most of dis stuff are stress related,so when am having d symptoms I talk to myself nd I try to calm down,so calm down nd pray as long as you've done all necessary tests.Shallom
