Before I start, let me just say my GF has a lot of emails, and I mean a lot. She uses it for sites that require subscription, so she can benefit from free subs and change email before they require payment. She’s also trying to make money online, so she has the habit of using the emails to create different accounts.

Now the story. This afternoon, my girl called me with a strange number. This was a mistake on her part because she said she didn’t remember to switch her SIM card. I am not aware of this number. Anyways, when I checked the number on true caller, it had a different name. I saw that the number was registered on WhatsApp, so I checked to know who was calling me. This WhatsApp display picture I found (the picture below). That’s not my girlfriend. So I called the number and asked who it was. There was no answer, so I cut the call after like 5 seconds.

After I cut the call, I saw a missed WhatsApp call from my GF. So I called her and she complained my phone was busy. (That’s because the “Silence Unknown Caller” on my phone is switched on. So because I don’t have that number she used, her normal call with that strange number can’t come in. It just goes straight to missed call).


Anyways, when she complained that my phone was busy, I told her some strange number called me, and it then clicked on her head that she hadn’t changed her SIM card back. So she opened up that she had such a number.


I told her I wasn’t aware she had such number. She said she bought it a while ago. Anyways, I quickly asked her, “is that number on WhatsApp.” She said NO.

I was trying to screenshot the picture I found of that number on WhatsApp, just in case, but it said “screen capture blocked”.


Anyways, my alarm rang for me to pray. So I excused myself and went to pray for like 5 minutes. After praying, I tried to access the WhatsApp picture again and use my second phone to snap it, but now it started saying “Invite to WhatsApp”. So it’s almost like the account has been deleted within that short time.

I called my GF back and confronted her, she admitted immediately that it was her WhatsApp account and she was trying to sign back into it. But I asked her, so why was the entire profile deleted?

Anyways, during our back and forth, I checked the number again on WhatsApp and the profile was back. I snapped it and that’s what I’ve uploaded her. I showed it to her also. I know that’s not her body. But it makes me wonder what the account is for and why such picture?


I’ve checked my GF’s phone before and it’s always spotlessly clean. Even normal messages from MTN and those short codes, you will never see on her message inbox. A little too clean for my liking, now that I think about it. Also, Nothing ever pops up no matter how long I hold her phone. Just her normal female friends that call her. I checked all her chat and blocked list and it’s always clean. Although, it’s been 2 years since I did that.

But I’m not aware of the existence of this number until today.

She also showed me, during our argument, that she had other SIM cards and it was because of how much email accounts she needs. I know Gmail is kinda strict with phone numbers used for email registration.


What do you think? I just need you guys thoughts on this.

There’s a major misunderstanding about the new ₦800,000 tax-free threshold in the Nigeria Tax Act (NTA) 2025.

Many people think: "I earn ₦60,000 a month (₦720k a year), so I will never pay a kobo in tax."

Technically, you are right. Practically, you might still see a tax deduction. Here is why your HR might "tax" you in a month where you worked extra hard:

The Monthly Projection Trap PAYE (Pay-As-You-Earn) is not calculated on what you earned last month. It’s calculated based on what the system "thinks" you will earn by the end of the year.

Normal Month: You earn ₦60,000. The system projects ₦720,000 for the year. Since this is below ₦800k, your tax is 0.

Bonus Month: You get a ₦15,000 performance bonus or overtime. Your total pay for February hits ₦75,000.

The Calculation: The payroll software multiplies ₦75k by 12 months. It now "thinks" your annual salary is ₦900,000.

Because ₦900k is above the ₦800k limit, the system will immediately deduct 15% tax on that ₦100k difference (pro-rated for that month).

Can you get your money back? Yes. If by December your total annual income is still ₦800k or less, you are entitled to a refund because you shouldn't have been taxed at all.

The Real Problem: Getting a tax refund in Nigeria is not a "click and receive" process. It usually involves a long reconciliation with the State Internal Revenue Service. Most people never get this money back simply because they don't have the records to prove the "Good Month" was an outlier.

As we move into 2026, keep an eye on your payslips during bonus seasons. Don't blame your HR—blame the "annualized" logic of the law.

Again you don't expect all musicians to sing about revolution... Varieties is what makes life itself interesting, if everyone keeps doing same thing it will become boring and uninteresting... Fela is good in his various style of musics, and Wizkid is not doing bad in the path he chose... I still stand on my word, both are legends...

His music is still relatable cos the government of Nigeria is still bad till date , trust me, if Africa could match up with other continents, I bet Fela style of music will sound irritating to newer generations, except for few people who are up to date with history...


Wiz on the other hand, people love him not really because he understood music 🎵, but his melodious voice got a lot of his fans captivated, couple with his lifestyle and aura.. Just like Fela, as the world evolves and new generation emerges, his style of music also fades away....

But both will stand the test of time before they eventually fades away... No doubt
