mrdharkchild: I went through a missionary school and I OK /certify that flogging and punishments as means of proper discipline. Before you get into a missionary school or a minor seminary, prepare your mind that you are sending your child to a correctional facility. Those marks are even small self. It'll heal in no time. If it's a student that flogs u like that, the school has a disciplinary committee, direct it to them, than share the pics and bring the matter to the internet. This will only facilitate your expulsion. Missionary schools is a military school in disguise, where u learn perseverance, discipline, as a man. Indomie generations would never understand. All they care about is defaming and sabotaging the names of missionary schools. but to what end? For once the discipline never killed me. It only made us stronger, and taught us to device means to survive (SOHK). I fought, I scavenged for food, I took a swollen eye, a swollen face, monkey yansh, slaps, velentino belts, koboko, wire, nepa wire, wood... Name them. I won most fights, I lost some, broken wrists. Learnt how to bend rules, not break them. It was an adventure you can never take out of my life. When I complained to my parents and they kept me mute, then I knew what I signed up for, the plan was to aim for SS3, or get a school father. It was like a game of Chess and cards. You can either decide to pay attention to instructions, or suffer d consequences. Your parents signed u up for it. If not, take your kids to other schools. Missionary schools r for discipline. Same as military schools. No priest is a devils incarnate. Check your forms of undertaking.
I went through lumen Christi, uromi. Commisioners and top politicians usually dump their kids in my school, even some kids from abroad, to b corrected.
From my jss1 till SSS1 I was hated and flogged, the picture posted above is a child's play flogging. I encouraged myself, consoled myself, learnt alot of lessons from that school. I don't have a single Cain or koboko or wire mark on my body today.
We even learnt how to persevere with the punishments and bear the pain, and even turned it to a joke. When flogged, we'd bone (which is d word we used back then) the cane, it became fun. And for 6years. Today I use those punishments as exercise in my early mornings.
We learnt how to manage suffering, because it is by suffering that character is birthed. This generation don't know how to manage when suffering, it's y many marriages, when the men lose their source of income, the woman leaves.
This generation, at the slightest frustrations and discomfort, they feed it to the internet to defame others and spread spiteful rumors and most especially, commit suicide.
We r men, we were built to b strong and masculine. If you don't know how to take a Cain, how to fight, how to take a punch, how to manage pain, how to frog jump, how to be tough, then try the feminine gender. Thank u. God bless you brother...product of a seminary speaking |

Beating the teacher to a coma will solve what exactly? What would you even call that? Dialogue, punishment or discipline? |

Prettydamsel122: This is the main problem we have in Nigeria. Abused psychological sick person would beget another. Just because you were physically abused and mentally abused doesn't make it right. By the way, what are you proud of? Which covid19 vaccine have you developed? How have you changed the world? If you haven't done any of this, you have no reason to be proud of your physical and psychological abuse.
And even if you scape through and become healed, not everyone would have that chance. Nothing makes ABUSE right You have serious mental issues, I am nearly 40, practically every kid in my generation endured harsh discipline and we even made fun of ourselves afterwards People in sane societies are doing things the way they feel is right for themselves and their kids and you are there copying and pasting blindly in a shithole. Sorry o, americana wanna be |

mofedamijo: You're right, however, everyone to its own. Cosharis C.E.O couldn't afford a shoe or suit when he got married, today, see where he is, the late oyo governor was washing corpse in the U.S when he started life, most Nigerian millions today had nothing when they got married.
I have seen situations where the woman was the one who help set the husband to become a millionaire. The truth is one should pray to have a good partner.
I have seen guys who had 5million naira saved aside the wedding expenses, after wedding, retrenchment happened and they never floated again, na madam sustain the family till bro floated again.
My advice is, never leave a good woman who will stand by you and help you build because you don't have a fat account yet, by the time fat account comes, you will mostly see account deleterious women coming in the form of helper. The first sensible comment here...don't know why these young pups think money makes a good marriage. Although I was quite comfortable prior to getting married, the kind of money I made after marriage eenh? Just 8 months after my wife moved in with me, I looked at my account balances and I was like Wish I had married earlier Just pray for good wife who will bring you good fortune and stabilise your finances. Naming a road after the Nigerien president is not the issue. The fact is Nigerians are sick and tired of the totally clueless manner in which the country is being led. They are sick of tired of being afraid to travel by road because of herdsmen/bandits. Nigerians can live with bad economic policies which result in poverty but insecurity is something that affects us, our families and friends directly and the president is treating it with kid gloves. Hence ANYTHING he does will be met with suspicion, derision and destructive criticism. Take that to the bank. |

The most annoying thing about these people is that they assume the average Nigerian is stu.pid. Little wonder some people say that THEY are not smart. This lame excuse was the first thing that came to my mind when I read about the Monguno interview and they shamelessly came up with it. Why is the arms deal shrouded in such secrecy if truly arms were ordered and paid for? When are they arriving? What causes the delay? Which country and company are we expecting the arms from? How much is the deal worth? If Nigerians were made aware of the Tucano aircraft deal why is the other arms deal shrouded in such secrecy? Is it not obvious that something fishy went down? Speculation thrives in the absence of transparency. I am not a fan of politics or politicians and God knows I despised the PDP government but the APC are doing their best to make the PDP look like saints. At least the PDP didn't lie and cover up corruption on this scale. Even the PRESIDENCY is involved in the cover up. Such a shame. To be an APC supporter it is obvious you must possess certain characteristics and I am glad to say I do not possess any of such characteristics. What a rant, but I just had to get that off my chest |
