No o, why did you ask?

Farm is dry tho, due to the season but we planted early

Please, what specific month did you plant?

Is it advisable to plant plantain in a swamp land that dries up in dry season - meaning it is not swampy all year round.

AgricultureRe: Grass Cutter Farming(cages) by Tatia(m): 10:45pm On Jul 02, 2016
James, where is your proposed location for GC farming?
There are several types of cages you can produce with limited by available capital.
The popular dimensions are 72 x 72 x 24 Height, Width, and Depth in that order for a three-tier cage that could house 6 colonies.
Hope that helps.

AgricultureRe: Pig Farmers Lets Meet Here by Tatia(m): 4:11pm On May 27, 2016
ops:
Tatia, your N2,200 per head monthly sounds about right, depending on what you're feeding with etc.

Yes, three grown pigs can share 8'x8' room but that depends on how big you expect them to be. At 70-80 kg, you're good to go but larger than that I'm not so sure.

For expected profit, you've almost finished the maths; you've arrived at a reasonable feed cost per head. Add your other variables and get total cost. For income, just multiply your target weight by N300-N350 per kg.
Thank you for your input Lanre.

What is the going rate for farm help in Oyo Zone?
AgricultureRe: Pig Farmers Lets Meet Here by Tatia(m): 3:46pm On May 25, 2016
Good day Pig Farmers.

I am trying to figure the cost of feed and housing to fatten 20 castrates to 70 Kg.
Based on 4% of body weight as minimum feed requirement, and feed costs at =N=60.00 I am coming up with =N=2,222 per head is that correct?

I also calculated that 3 grown pigs can share an 8' x 8' space to finishing. Will that be correct?

What should be a farmer's expectation profit per head on a fattened pig?

Thank you for your answers.
