gulfer: BASt.ARDs, why University of Buckingham, U.K and not Ado Ekiti University or University of Lagos? In the end, she'd have bought a degree, return to the country to continue from where she stopped and rejoin the looting.

People just criticise, whether it makes sense or not! UK is not like Nigeria where you can buy a degree. She may even not be known there, unlike in Nigeria where the Lecturers will almost worship her.

Well, let's just say I schooled in West Yorkshire (don't want to mention the Uni for some reasons). I studied Law, and just finished Law School.

Studying in UK was alright, no stress, had personal relationships with some of my lecturers.

First of all, as Muslims, we do not use anyone to depict the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW). If you watch "The Message" most especially, no actor was used to depict him, not even his voice, because he is held in high regards.

I then wonder why some non-muslims will decide to depict him in ridicilous ways, thereby disrespecting him and our religion.

And for the person who said Muslims would have laughed at the movie depicting Jesus as gay, I want to state categorically that no true Muslim would have found it funny. I personally will not watch such movie, as I find it to be insulting Prophet Isa ASW (Jesus).

Muslims see Jesus as a Prophet sent by God like all other Prophets to preach and save souls. But Christians have chosen to worship him- humans have free will to choose. Despite this fact, Muslims never use degrading words on him, but non-Muslims are always quick to insult Prophet Muhammad.

I am never in support of the activities of some Muslims, as Islam preaches that killing an innocent soul is like killing the entire mankind. A closer look at the so-called terrorists shows that they are being oppressed either politically or economically, and these are the only known methods for them to vent their anger.

My only wish is that non-Muslims will actually find the time to learn about Islam and not rely on the media or start passing derogatory remarks on Islam and Muslims based on the actions of some minority.

The NYSC Orientation timetable seems to clash with the Law School's call to bar. Call to bar is slated for 20th November and we are even expected to be in Abuja before that day for clearance and screening. I dont know if we can miss some days of camp to sought out law school first.

Does anyone know what can be done in such situation? Are there fellow aspirants on this forum? Lets discuss please, because I am already getting confused

The wake keep was not in a church, but it had Christian activities which the man does not believe in. I do not see the big deal in it if it truly happened.

People criticizing cannot even enter Mosques or go for Islamic activities outside the Mosque, yet they are quick to condemn the man because he is a Muslim

Honestly, there are so many negatives I have read concerning Islam especially on NL, but I have ignored. But the thing is some people continually say wrong things and the manner in which they go about it, you think that is their major aim or duty on earth to insult Islam and Muslims. 90% of some peoples posts are dedicated to ridiculing Islam, yet they say Muslims are the most intolerant and violent prone people. Yet, when you ask some of them basic questions on christianity, they can not even give sound answers and they know nothing about Islam apart from what they get from the media. A good Muslim will never, and I repeat, never ever ridicule Prophet Isa (AS)- Jesus. We are given free will and there is no compulsion in religion.

Almighty Allah is the greatest Judge of all, but we as good Muslims wont just adopt 'siddon look' attitude under such circumstances. Even if we wont resort to the extreme like the terrorists, we can point out and correct wrongs done on us through our tongues, and in this case through our fingers!

Well, my major concern is that muslims on Nairaland can't even learn to ignore and use Silence as a tool to place some of this people in their rightful position.
