IslamRe: "Ramadan Has Crippled Business,” Prostitutes Lament by tayo4me(f): 6:16pm On Jul 31, 2012
Going to the source shows that the article does not even exist, and someone is just trying to be funny. Is it only Muslims that patronize them? When will people quit dragging Islam or Muslims in the mud?

Enough is enough please!
NYSCRe: NYSC BATCH C 2012 Aspirants Meet Here by tayo4me(f): 4:55pm On Jul 29, 2012
contra: you'll apply personally and not thru lawschool. You don't choose the state or company you'll be posted except you 'work' it. Fyi, there's no company to be posted to, you'll teach either in a pry or secondary school. Just be vigilant and watch out for the timetable.
Wow!!...Another new female in the house!...My sister, you're welcome...CONTRA has answered you affirmatively, you have to register personally at NYSC headquarters in Abuja when registration commences...the timetable should be out before the end of August...Be ready to work in a government establishment, education in particular...We'll keep checking their website for updates.
Thank you both.

I'll try to be active here.

Any idea on the best states for service, in terms of job opportunities, living expenses, security (excluding the North), and general treatment of corpers by the State Government?
NYSCRe: NYSC BATCH C 2012 Aspirants Meet Here by tayo4me(f): 3:23pm On Jul 29, 2012
Hello house

I'm an aspirant for the next batch (2012, batch c) and will like to get some information.

I'm a foreign trained graduate about completing law school, can I be posted to my state of origin or state of domicile, and what are the likely organizations I could be posted to? Will I apply through lawschool or personally?

Thanks

Nairaland GeneralRe: Things That Annoy You On Nairaland by tayo4me(f): 5:58pm On Jul 08, 2012
When people bring up ethnic or religious dimensions to stories when there is no need for such. In the process they abuse other ethnic groups and religions, thereby resulting in cyber wars. Even if the topic is ethnic or religious in nature, there is absolutely no need to abuse each other, as we are all entitled to belong to whichever group we desire.

Also when some people believe they know it all, and refuse to change positions despite the fact that there are glaring strong points against theirs

Beaf: I would expect a law student who actually attends lectures to be able to employ critical thinking and actually stick to the subject of the argument.
Sorry sis, but what you are displaying here is stup!dity. Nobody cares if you are a law student (or apprentice lawyer, lol!), what we care about is if you understand the damn constitution with enough nous to provide as credible an interpretation as I have.

Here are my arguments against Akainzo's mental limp, together with references to the constitution. Thats what I expect you to counter with reasoned points and nothing else:
In your mind now, you av said something! I can't waste my time replying AN ADULT who has chosen to be blinded by the actions of a fellow human being nd unnecessarily praise him.

If this is what u consider 'feather to a cap' then I'm really sorry for you!
PoliticsRe: Justice Aloma Mariam Mukhtar : Nigeria’s First Female Chief Justice: A Profile by tayo4me(f): 1:03am On Jul 05, 2012
Beaf: ^
I posted the provisions of the constitution, which I'm sure you never read.
Just hail GEJ and leave wahala, jare!
I can't help but wonder if you are on GEJs payroll! Telling me I've never read the Constitution, when I'm a law student,...you really want to tell me what the constitution says!

Anyone who understands the English Language will know 'he'may also include 'she', so that explains why a woman can be appointed. Didn't ur little brain tell u if that wasn't d case, nd ur precious GEJ appointed a woman, then he will be going against the provisions of the law.

The law provides that the most senior Justice of the Supreme Court ON THE RECOMMENDATION OF THE NJC is appointed by the President subject to the confirmation of the Senate...all three bodies/authorities are involved, so its not the sole power of the President.

No one is saying u shdnt praise GEJ, but pls don't display ur ignorance or be a muppet in d process

How is this a feather to GEJs cap? Check the provisions of the Constitution pls, before displaying ur ignorance

CelebritiesRe: Breaking News: Mercy Johnson May Call Off August 27 Wedding by tayo4me(f): 8:02am On Aug 08, 2011
@paris who claims to know all- Generally, Muslims are married under the Islamic law (and registered) which is also a form of customary law in Nigeria, and are therefore not bound by the Matrimonial Causes Act (just like other people who marry under various customary laws). In addition, some Muslims do get married in the court if they want.

You also call being married to many women adultery- I believe you need to check and understand the proper meaning of adultery before posting. At least we are better than other people who have other women on the side and clothe themselves in sin!

@Mercy, I tink she shd just get married under customary law and save herself some stress

Hypothetically speaking, Yes. Danny might be a serial ra.pi.st or murderer. Na who wants to wish that pesin a speedy recovery?
But he said he doesnt even know him, so that is not the case here. And besides, even if Danny were to be one of those things you mentioned, it wont be proper to indirectly wish him dead

SportsRe: Out Of Order: Kaita Receives Death Threats After Red Card by tayo4me(f): 8:44pm On Jun 20, 2010
Nigerians know the Eagles are under-performing and got an opportunity to vent their anger on someone. It is a game at the end of the day and only one team can win. People should know when to draw the line on issues and not take things too far.

I was so disgusted when someone on his fan page on facebook wished him death through plane crash!!! I mean come on, this is the height of madness. We all make mistakes, sometimes we apologise, sometimes we dont and in this case Kaita has apologised, what else do we want of him.

The leaders are there stealing our money, and we are not thinking of how to put an end to their nonsense yet some of us want to kill a fellow Nigerian. I was really pissed too with his actions, as in really annoyed, but I realised he is human after all. And like he said, only God can allow his death, so what else? As far as am concerned only jobless people will continue whining about it.

SportsRe: Sani Kaita Vs Abdul Mutallab by tayo4me(f): 8:04pm On Jun 17, 2010
And besides, I dont think the French went all out to criticise Zidane who did something worse back in 2006. We Nigerians are so quick in condemming ourselves, yet we want others to say good things about us. He should learn to control his anger no doubt, but he does not deserve all these bashing on the internet by fellow Nigerians.
SportsRe: Sani Kaita Vs Abdul Mutallab by tayo4me(f): 7:55pm On Jun 17, 2010
What Kaita did is totally wrong, and nobody is supporting him, but there is no basis for comparison between him and Mutallab. The poster is just jobless and seeking attention.

Why should someone compare an act of terrorism with mere angerhuh
FamilyRe: Industrialist Dumps Wife For Housemaid. by tayo4me(f): 9:37am On Jun 12, 2010
Sagamite:
Allow her to work? So he did not force her? He promised her and BY HER CHOICE, she chose to agree?
Even if she does not agree, the man will still blame her. I know of a woman who insisted on working despite her husband's warnings. She did this in order to prevent a situation where she has to beg her husband for everything or have nothing in case of a separation. The husband called her all soughts of names and said the wife was just making an excuse to cheat on him. He eventually sent her packing despite the pleas of people around him. Now what do you make of that?

There are so many marriages where women are treated less than human beings, that should have no say in what happens to their lives. It is just rather unfortunate.
