Betalyf: Well i have been trying to reach him on phone but he is not picking his call but i have sent him a mail still waiting for his reply.

3 days after the so called deadline passed the inspired dealer is yet to contact the customer, even if its just to update him on what's going on or what isn't going on. This is the kind of non-communication that escalated this problem in the first place.it shows this dealer hasn't learnt anything at all. The customer even tries to get across to him and he is not picking calls. Honestly I can't for the life of me understand how one will spend his hard earned millions from which you made a healthy profit and he still has to be chasing you around to get satisfactory service. What kind of nonsense is this?

1. He delivered late - A lot of factors could account for that, That does not call for thread opening.
2. He charged extra - NO SIR He didn't. Read the thread again.
3. He didn't respond to the client prior to this thread - YES and that is not a good one and neither do I support that.

But now he has come to the fore to bear the brunt. So it is no longer necessary to want to crucify him prematurely, you only do that if he fails to deliver eventually.

Enough of all the rants here, Let's just wait for Mr Inspired to drive the OP's car back to him in a fixed shape.

I find your last two posts on this thread very hypocritical. You yourself have opened two threads in the last one month to rant and vent about your pre order deal with this same dealer. As to the bolded I vividly recall you complaining amongst many things about missed deadlines and delayed delivery even in a most recent one alluding to the dealer shipping through congested AES to maximise profit at your expense. I wonder why you didn't remember all this sanctimonious and self-righteous preaching before you came on NL to lament. . Seun the nairaland search function needs a small upgrading. Some dealers in the auto section keep copying and pasting the same post on their different threads every single day advertising a long list of cars for sale. So For example if I search for Toyota corolla or Honda accord, this repeated posts keep appearing severally sometimes taking up a whole page and making scrolling cumbersome. If there is a way you can do like google removing search results that are similar and keep recurring because d dealer keeps copying and pasting over weeks and weeks it'll make the search more effective. 9icetoo: Your timing chain costs about N10,000. You might get it cheaper if you are in Lagos. Whats the mileage of your car? Do not go for the cheap timing chains! Most timing chains can last well over 200,000 miles depending on oil change history. I changed mine at 170,000 miles.

Power steering: have no idea but just change it when ur doing atf.

Timing chain: 100,000miles 170,000km
Most people do over 200,000miles b4 changing but as I said better safe.........

Engine oil capacity: 3.8liter with oil filter replaced
3.6liters without replacing oil filter.

Automatic transmission fluid: use toyota genuine ATF WS
Fluid capacity 7.8 liters

Uses a timing chain.
