bimbor: Like I said, the clock ticks....I will speak at the appointed time....I have been pushed to my limits and holding on with just little energy.....If a so called dealer does not value his customer who has entrusted his hard earned millions into his care in trust and chooses to treat them anyhow ignoring calls , missing deadlines , blatant lies and treating him like he is doing him a favour then I see no reason why you should bother saving whatever life investment of his. you are not Jesus Christ. your concern should be safe guarding your hard earned money and ensuring you get your moneys worth, making sure he delivers on schedule as agreed. Whenever they try to act funny after you had better come here and raise alarm so others will be warned and stay clear. Sometimes I wonder if some of these dealers actually reason at all. you met a customer on Nairaland, common sense should let u know if you dont act right they will come online complain and damage your rep. Ordinarily that should be an incentive for you to make sure your customer is happy. you keep posting someone for 3 months, 3 frigging months. if I had impregnated a lady 3 months ago the belle for don dey big now, that's how long 3 months is. after spending 5 million plus, haba Ba kyau walahi. this OP should have come to raise alarm sef from the first week when he saw nothing was being done, no point waiting 3 whole months. because its only when you disgrace them publicly that they sit up and take you seriously. |
bimbor: Inspired is a formidable dealer on Nairaland, we can't take that from him. But the fact that his cars are highly priced cannot be overemphasised. Well maybe he has the quality of the cars to show for that. Truth is he always delivers......were you not the one ranting some days ago about how pre order deal is a tale of lies, deceitful fraud, missed deadlines and bla bla . claiming you were "pregnant" and will deliver soon and expose the said dealer who going through your posts its obvious inspired is the d dealer involved. the Nairaland data loss cleared that thread. "you will talk very soon" keep deceiving yourself. don't expect any sympathy when the poo hits the fan. you had your chance to come clean. he is in Brazil flenjoying with your money while "God" is handling your car deal here in naija. I dey laugh. |
Emzybrown: Am sorry but i have to reply you, for displaying your ignorance on a public forum or deliberately trying to malign medical laboratory science with your myopic points. Its quite understandable why you would feel this way and come at me with an emotional response. But what I have stated are based on real world experiences not an idealistic/theoretical nirvana where everything works according to your plans. From the bold points above 1. There are more graduate Medical doctors in the country than MLS, So does that mean they are jobless, most MLS job less folks are people with the same mindset as you that think MLS is not a viable profession. This is more or less a moot point. Nobody said MLS isn't a viable profession, question was a comparative analysis of radiography and MLS and I gave MY OPINION based on what I have observed over the years. I don't understand the bitterness towards me, I don't make the trends. 2. you said there are more MLS, Pharmacy and MBBS graduates during internship placement , you didn't tell op that while 30 MLS graduates are granted internship placement, their counterpart in radiography will have like 10 placements or less.Another moot point. The availability of internship spots depends on the relationship between the number of graduates produced nationwide and the number of available spots in all institutions nationwide. Whether they are given 10 spots or whatever is quite irrelevant. Fact remains that radiographers today as a group get internship placement easier than others because only very few schools produce grads yearly so there is less competition for available slots. 3. MLS graduates just like their MBBS colleagues will only be jobless when they are not really trained to practice, lacks motivation to achieve professional goals, unemployment which is normal thing in our polity. One thing you dont know is that job prospect of a Lab scientist does not necessarily end on the Laboratory workbench, as a lab scientistist you can work in pharmaceutical company, food and beverage industry, utility corporation, research institutes, sale, importation, manufacture of hospital reagents, disposables, MLS can deviate into public health{ epidemiology, osh , and the rest]I can only laugh. More idealistic sermon. My brother I live in the REAL world and SEE what is going on. I'm 1 million percent sure you are still a student so your innocent naivety can be well justified. When you graduate and get into the job market, first with hustling for internship then you can come back and update us. I'll give you a simple assignment, the next set of radiographers and MLS that graduate from your school, follow their progress steadily as a group and see for yourself. Good luck finding jobs on the pharmaceuticals, food and tech, and utility corporation with your MLS degree, you make it sound so easy. |
OP thanks for this thread, been following silently and i appreciate the information you have given so far. please don't stop , keep giving up updates till u get the car will like to know how you handled the clearing and how ur car finally arrived and in what condition. hope to buy from auction export so I'm much interested in real customer reviews . thanks once again. |
Lol so Miriamp deactivated her account in shame. its quite a pity and see her misrepresenting herself as an experienced nurse who teaches house officers . the hostility for doctors is something else. Personally I think hospitals should be run administratively by professional hospital administrators while CMD oversees the medical departments and reports to the administrator and hospital board. That way adequately trained professionals handle what they have been equipped to dp effectively. |
abeebahmed: I just gained admission to study mls and radiograhy in unilag, which do you think I should pick? Is it possible to transfer to medicine after 100level?Hello , permit me to give my opinion on this... If I'm presented with those two choices MLS or Radiography, I'd go with radiography instead. let me tell you why. Radiography deals with the use of ionizing radiation for medical diagnosis. The operate the X rays, Ultra sound, CT scan , MRI, Fouroscopy machines etc. There are very few schools who offer a BSC in this course (if I'm not mistaken not more than 5 schools currently offer BSC this course) most of the old radiographers in the profession are diploma holders these Bsc grads are expected to replace them as try phase out coupled with the fact that there are very few of them compared to the medical laboratory scientists that are everywhere . The medical Imaging technology sector is rapidly growing here in Nigeria and there will be ample demand for Radiographers infact there is increasing demand for radiographers now both in the public and private sector. Many general hospitals and private hospitals are springing up and they will all need radiographers. Even during internship, while doctors, pharmacists and Medical lab scientists run from pillar to post trying to secure internship positions in teaching hospitals some even taking up to a year before getting placement, Radiographers don't experience such many Teaching hospitals/ federal medical centres have a radiology department and have need for interns meanwhile only a few schools produce radiographers yearly so you see there is a shortage of interns so they easily get placements and some centres try to retain them after their internship. Salary wise in the Federal salary scale They usually step or sometimes levels higher than the Medical lab scientists and other allied health professionals, I don't know why this is, maybe it's because they are trying to attract them. I remember when we were in first year, most of us never knew what radiography was including those who were in that department. I quite remember the anatomy, physiology, biochemistry , MLS guys all mocking the radiographers calling them x-ray technicians, in their small minds including ours radiography just involves x-rays and x-ray machines where few and far between then. Fast forward today we have all graduated, while the Basic medical graduates are mostly jobless after service or doing MSc out of frustration all the radiographers that where inducted including the third class grads all have jobs and are doing very well. Many of the Mls grads are jobless or doing private practice which doesn't pay well because there is an over supply. So I think Radiography has a very bright future if you decide to go into it. As for crossing into medicine from 200L to be honest, its easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle because its very difficult. MDCN is now going tough on medical schools to stick to their approved quota. cheers |
Ecosol: Thank God the internet and newspapers are there for everyone to read. Nigerians are not foolish the link below will give u an insight to the salary of medical doctors as at 2011.oh so that is the source of all the arrant rubbish lies you posted up there? I am laughing hysterically. Another internet based Nigerian. My friend go and download conmess document and compute the salaries for yourself and that is what state doctors are hoping to earn in line with what federal colleagues are paid hence the Lagos strike that 2011. Couldn't stop laughing at cars have been distributed. Politicians take you for fools hence they spill such bull knowing you will all swallow it. We on ground know what is being paid to our colleagues If you care to know go and find out and stop spewing ignorant lies pulled off the internet. 700k my black behind. |
Ecosol: Let truth be told.yes our health system is crap but Is that realy wat NMA is fighting for? A house officer is equivalent to a level 10 in civil Service and is paid upto 180 thousand naira,a resident doctor earns between 200 to 300 thousand and a consultant earns more than 500 thousand. It takes 4-6 years on the average to bcome a consultant after graduating and there are some Consultants that earn as high as 800thousand to 1million. Physicians earn relatively better than any other person in this country on the average, despite the economic hardship. Therefore calling for a raise in earning is just outrageous. A house officer(who is under training) earns twice the earnings of a lab scientist(a full time staff). NMA is just not being sincere if their strike action is based solely on the state of our delapitating hospitals,I would have understood but requesting for a raise in earning?! That's too selfish of them and please consultancy is not for doctors alone in europe and the USA, there are consultant Nurses and pharmacists. The society is now recognising the vital roles of other health profesionals and until the NMA drops its egoistic attitude and partner with other stakeholders of the health sector, the sector will remain in shambles. May God Bless Nigeria.Typical. after spewing all these lies and untruths you end with calling "God". its either you are massively ignorant or just a pathological liar. Because I wonder how anyone who claims to have knowledge of the system will spill out such ignorance. |
sorry I'm not too knowledgeable in these matters, could someone please clarify.., what is meant by "0.55 gauge" in roofing terminology? what's the difference between 0.45 and 0.55 gauge and what advantage or disadvantage does one have over the other? thanks |
hi, please where you able to solve this problem? what did you do ? |
I think they are paid according to CONMESS . you start from level two when you join and as you rise through the ranks you go use the levels. |
I'd also like to know.... any real customer experiences here? |
So who is expected to pay their bills? or is the doctor running charity organisation? if he borrowed money from a bank to set up the hospital what will he tell them? he is a humanitarian and patient cannot pay so he let them go? ha |

Lagusta: those guys up north are literally begging for doctors, I would've loved to go but I want to get more experience in a private setting first, so that I won't be disgraced among my junior ones!!!I'll put my ears on the ground share. thanks for the heads up. for the disgrace thingy a consultant that wants to embarrass you well still do so, that's the unfortunate thing about med school in Nigeria. you should be used to it by now. Right from time I never cared , you can't kill me. after all your rant you'll still teach me the correct thing and I learn. |
Lagusta: boss, there are lots of places up north that are free, u can try nasarawa, bauchi and sokoto......lol, how do you mean "free"? |
elijahdre: Good morning Nairalander.More testimonies about our honesty on this thread.Hi pls how much is your gionee D1? |

alutacontinua: @TCD, thanks!

you're welcome. feel free to ask any question and I'll help to the best of my ability. A wise woman once old me, if you ask questions from those who have been there you'll hardly miss your way. |
Lagusta: I have medical doctor app, that app is one of the best any medic must have!!!! very useful, u'll hear the breath sounds, heart sounds and murmurs clearly!!!Thanks boss. would like to go to any place up north. since you're closer if you hear anything from any teaching hospital that region, please help a brother . having schooled everywhere from southwest where I'm from , east and south south, I 'll love to experience what life is like in the North. There's an app you'll like to check out. will be helpful for house job and practice. if you have an android device download "Safe dose" from Google play store. it gives drugs, their doses which you can adjust according to patients weight, their IV infusion and titration rate. adverse effects, remarks etc. check it out if you can. |
hey guys its been awhile here. hope you all doing good. please if you know of any openings in your schools for housemanahip please holla right here. talking about medical apps, android really has good ones. in addition to medscape you can download the app "on exam" this one helped me prepare for finals. its grouped according to systems basically showing you pointers on how to take a structured history, physical exams following IPPA and specific tests you might want to do according to that system. Also contains many clinical signs and practical steps to two eliciting them. Those in fourth year starting clinicals will particularly find it useful. Another one to get is called "medical doctor". importantly it has lung and heart sounds you can play . both normal and abnormal. it can help you identify fine crepitations, coarse creps, rhonci, wheezes, split heart sounds, and various heart mummurs. Those of you still in the struggle wish you best of luck. one day it'll all be over . its not all about being intelligent, many intelligent people have failed out, you also have to be wise. Whatever you do just know the basics and know what you're supposed to know. don't go start reading mega stuffs to show off at the expense of the basic stuff you should know. You will be forgiven if you don't know about Meigs syndrome but no examiner will forgive you if you don't know basic stuff about hernia, intestinal obstruction, acute abdomen or appendicitis. One other thing, get close to repeat students. They have valuable experience that can help you and usually have some very useful materials. that's one tip I learnt back then. |
got this phone few days ago. phone is great and I'm enjoying it but I think the battery has issues. it takes forever to charge. there are times the battery will just remain at a point for hours and refuse to move up while charging. I put off the phone, put it on, battery level drops from 80's to like 15% from there it will remain for hours till it decides to start charging again. today battery was at 15% I put it off and left it on charge and slept for 3 hours. on waking up battery was still charging I put it on and the damn thing is still on 15% unplugged the charger and it happily dropped down to 14%. at certain times while using the battery drops from 100% to 90% in less than 5 minutes, after that rate of discharge stabilizes then at like 30% the battery starts counting down like stopwatch till 14% in a matter of minutes. All these is highly distressing and can't understand why a new device should act like this. This is almost ruining my first android experience maybe I should have gone for a more established name. |
