Foreign Affairs / Re: Kenya Is Ahead of Nigeria In All Aspect (Facts Don't Lie) by tck2000(m): 1:46pm On Jan 13, 2020

We are not talking about a country, we are talking about cities. Kenyans generally appreciate trees (interestingly, this stems from the fact that most of Kenya is dry). Our cities are lined with lots of trees and greenery unlike West African cities. This is not just boasting but the truth. I have noticed a similar thing with South African cities too. But West African cities are the exact opposite. It is like they hate trees. In a typical rich West African homestead, you are sure of finding it lined with cobblestone rather than grass. In Kenya, it's all grass and trees.

Below are typical high-end homesteads in Maitama in Abuja for instance.

Now compare it with typical high-end homesteads in Muthaiga in Nairobi.

For people who are used to ugly concrete jungles that is. This is Nairobi, the capital city of Kenya. That's the reason it's known as the Green City in the Sun.

Your kind won't appreciated greenery in a city.

Mr Finger pointer. Always someone else's fault, freeing you of all blame for the ills surrounding you.

As you point, four fingers point back at YOU.

In the UK 100 years ago, many people were starving. The govt was corrupt and run by aristocrats who cared nothing for the poor. Those in society who had a bit of money formed groups and established charities, and rented or bought houses to house the homeless, and set up 'soup kitchens' to feed the hungry. No government involved. Those charities, many of which still exist today, helped prevent mass starvation in England at the turn of the last century.

In Nigeria we see very little of this type of care for their fellows being shown by average citizens like YOU, Mr government blamer. Keep blaming. The day you reach the gates of heaven and you're asked what you contributed to society in your life, tell them it was Buhari's fault you did nothing, and see how fast they throw your backside in hell.

...and the North where he comes from has the highest poverty and illiteracy rates. He should commit part of his resources to projects that will make a difference in their lives. There's so much dependence on foreign donors while our rich flaunt their wealth which is mostly rooted in undue advantage and privileged circumstances.

Of course he does his bit but a lot more needs to be done instead of simply concentrating his efforts on preserving the family wealth as he said recently.

A white man acquires wealth to better the society but a blackman acquires wealth to oppress the society, this is why you see beautiful mansions in dumpsites and beautiful cars on terrible road networks.

...before you mention government, the people in government are not foreigners...they are NIGERIANS.

How they feel good showing off a luxurious lifestyle while the man across the street and millions more live in abject poverty still beats my imagination.

The only thing that keeps enugu alive is the student/youth population, the state is filled with old civil servants with rickety vehicles. Enugu is usually boring whenever the students are on vacation. Owerri is the place to be men. . .

If I were a president, I will unleash upon the nation, the incredible scientific, technological, and entrepreneurship potentials of the East.

Needless to say, every region in the country possess tremendous and diverse abilities. It requires only a cohesive force to make Nigeria one of the greatest countries on earth.
