Truthseeker10:Did you not read what I wrote. If you did, didn't it clear up whatever contradiction you thought there was? If you still don't get it explain what exactly you don't get and I will guide you. |
cornelboy:No I never said they are the same person. I only showed you how 2 people can have the very same Title or position and yet it is seen as one. Example, Isaiah says we have only one Savior right? Now I ask, who is the Savoir Jesus Christ or his Father or both? |
MaxInDHouse:I don't know. |
MaxInDHouse:Gods words never contradicts but man's translations can. I hope you understand that the bible is man's translation of Gods words right? |
Truthseeker10:No contradictions. Let me explain, if I have an engineering degree and also a medical degree. I go to a hospital to treat patients and there, only my medical degree is needed. I did not come to the hospital to be an engineer. This example should help you understand it better. I guess I had some cleaning up to do but now I am sure you understand my point better |
cornelboy:Yes do you have a problem with this? We both agree that there is only one Savior right? Isaiah 43:11 11 I, even I, am the Lord; and beside me there is no saviour. So why do you have a problem with Jesus Christ being the one true God? You can't believe him sometimes and doubt him other times. |
cornelboy:No it was not me that said so, it was Isaiah, I only quoted him. I am a Father but that doesn't mean that I don't have a Father. |
cornelboy:No, I did not say he is the same person. I just told you that they are two different people. But then what was the reward? The Father gave him everything he has. So there is nothing the Father has that the Son doesn't have. It's in your Bible just read it. |
cornelboy:But he did not drag what was freely given him. We just read that it was the Father that allowed him sit on the throne. And yes everything Jesus Christ does glorifies the Father I agre. |
cornelboy:Yes they are 2 different persons no argument. And after Jesus Christ ministries, in his own words. To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne. Not my words He overcame and what did the Father do? Humble yourself If you feel anything I said is not based on the bible, point it out and I will apologize |
Truthseeker10:Stupid question. You already asked for evidence of the contradiction and I presented it to you. One verse says man can't see God and another said man saw God. If it's not a contradiction to you, make your point. Stop asking questions that have been adequately answered. |
Truthseeker10:It's clear for even the blind to see. If one verse says man can't see God and another tells you that certain men saw God, what other evidence do you need? First, sir do you know the meaning of a contradiction? |
Truthseeker10:Let's be honest here, I told you from the onset that it was my thought. Did I not? Again the goal here is to exchange knowledge not to do police and thief right? |
Truthseeker10:I did not say the passage in Jonh has an error and translation contradiction is my personal opinion ok. |
Truthseeker10:I never said there was an error in John 1:18 and in my very last post, I made it clear to you that that was my thought nothing confirmed so where did I tell you that John 1:18 has an error. |
Truthseeker10:You just quoted where I used the words, I think. This was only a thought. So let's depend on what we know not what we think. Is that fair enough? |
Truthseeker10:I just explained the contradiction. One says you can't see God and the other men saw God. Also I said I think, or rather I suspect it's a translation error. |
Truthseeker10:I never said there was a translation contradiction in John 1:18. The contradiction is between the verses that say you can't see God and those that reveal that men saw God. |
Truthseeker10:John 1.1 |
Truthseeker10:But I have made my self clear. What is it in my answer that you don't understand. Let me make it super clear. He was God, he became man and lived the human experience and returned back to his glory. I guess this is the best way to put it. |
Truthseeker10:To your last question So some verses say man saw God and others day man can't see God. To your First, let me explain better. We know that Christ left his glory behind and lived on earth as a man. That's how much we know. Is it clearer now? |
Truthseeker10:Again i said he came to earth as a man and you asked what happened to your beautiful picture and I said I don't know. So I didn't make the contradiction. I only would not answer beyond what is revealed You asked, "Do these verses contradict John 1:18?" |
Truthseeker10:My duty is not to say things that haven't been revealed. Was Christ God while on earth? I don't know. But the bible tells us that he is God and that's ok for now. You already pointed out that there is a contradiction so what exactly is your second question. |
Truthseeker10:First to your second question. I never used the word trinity because it's not scriptural and because it is a man-made term with man-made definitions. But if God took the form of a man so he could live the human experience, living his glory behind, does it mean he was not God at the time? I don't know and the question was not attempted in the scriptures. We don't know everything about the mystery of God. To you first question, yes, there are contradictions and I believe it's translation contradictions. |
Truthseeker10:Read also Job 19.26 And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God: John 17.5 And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was. Jesus Christ did not come to earth in his Glory. Also, Jesus Christ needed to overcome all things to be given everything, all that his Father has. Here are a few verses to help you understand the difference between Christ the man and he as God. Hebrews 5:8-9 King James Version 8 Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered; 9 And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him; We see that he attained perfection. Luke 2:52 52 And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man. We see that he did not come to earth loaded with all wisdom. Now look at the difference after his resurrection. Matthew 28:18 Jesus came up and said to them, “All authority (all power of absolute rule) in heaven and on earth has been given to Me. You can see that Christ the man was limited |
Truthseeker10:The same bible also teaches us that so many people have seen God. Passages Where People See God Genesis 32:30 – "So Jacob called the name of the place Peniel, saying, ‘For I have seen God face to face, and yet my life has been delivered.’” Jacob wrestles with a mysterious man, later identified as God. Exodus 24:9-11 – "Then Moses and Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel went up, and they saw the God of Israel." The leaders of Israel see God, yet they are not harmed. Isaiah 6:1-5 – "In the year that King Uzziah died I saw the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up; and the train of his robe filled the temple." Isaiah has a vision of God and feels unworthy. Finally, the Savior taught, blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God. Now talking about Jesus Christ, he came to earth not as God but as man. He left he glory behind. He was prone to the weaknesses of man. He said, only the Father in heaven is good, acknowledging his mortality. So yes, he did not come to earth as God but as man. |
immaculatesense:I believe you are mostly correct. But when you say that the Son will but himself under God's authority, it seems like you are saying that the Son is not God. I prefer you say that the Son will put himself under the Father's authority. My point has been that the Son is not just another God, he like the Father is the one true God. I guess that's where I different with most. |
Truthseeker10:The diagram is correct. |
cornelboy:Jesus Christ is not like any other God, he is the one true God like his Father. He is the Jehovah of the old testament. David called him his Lord. The men of old had a relationship with him. He was the God that led the children of Israel across the Red Sea. And he is the one that has asked us to be his witnesses. |
cornelboy:My job is just to teach. You can mock but that isn't a wise choice I showed you the words of Paul in Philippians 2. 6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: if Christ = God, what does that make him? Ask yourself, if you truly believe the scriptures or if you will choose the words of men over the Word of God |
cornelboy:It's ok if you feel so. But I know that if you took time to read what I sent you, your eyes will begin to be opened to the truth. I provided lots of bible passages to help you understand who Jehovah is. Read and ask questions. Ask your people then come back and let's discuss if they have any answers. I believe we can discuss from the teachings in the scriptures comparing verses and finding answers. If Jesus Christ like his Father is the Beginning and the End, The Alpha and Omega, the Savior. Don't you see that he like his Father is the one true God? That is what John was speaking about in chapter 17. It's a much stronger bond than husband and wife. The Father gave to the Son everything. He did not retain anything from him. Like his Father, Jesus Christ is the everlasting Father. |
cococandy:You see why I call you emotional? You are more interested in a nickname and not in his record. I was expecting you to show Trump's favorable policies to Russia in response to my post but your reply is that he has a Russian nickname. What could be more emotional. |
