Lol, you are free to pity, but don't complain. And yes, charity begins at home. We Igbos have a saying that wealth is only recognized when brought home, which is why no matter how big we become in Lagos, we never forget to build a mansion in our village.
I want you to continue to pity 50 years from now when we have dug our feet deeper and deeper into our 6th state Lagos.

By design and our upbringing, Lagos will welcome you with a warm embrace.

We are genuinely happy to see you flourish and prosper in Lagos. If our forebears didn't build it, you will not have a Lagos today and if they didn't raise us to welcome strangers, you will not call Lagos home. There are parts of your region who are hostile to visitors and don't even rent out land to strangers.

If you like ignore the reality that Lagos intentionally will never be for sale wink
Not new, almost every community in the world welcomes others. The people of Abuja, for example, or you can talk about the US, which takes in millions of people each year. There is nothing incredible about that. In my village, we have a few Yoruba people. That's how life is meant to be. I also know landlords in Lagos that don't rent to Igbo so the hostility goes both ways. Bad human behavior is not restricted to any tribe.

You're still ignorant about Lagos.

Whatever you buy will not be strategic and it reverts to the family and state after 99 years we believe that you have recouped great returns from your investment.
My brother, let's wait until then. In 99 years, we will see what will happen. But for now, let's enjoy the progress of a people who had nothing in Lagos 100 years ago, and today, they have made the city their own. This is a beautiful story, and we all should applaud it. It tells you that as a people, you can achieve anything as long as you remain hardworking and driven.

It applies to Ghana, Benin Republic, Togo, Burkinafaso, Ivory Coast and many countries, yes Niger Republic........ Yorubas have been living very peaceful with the indigenes for more than a century, when no Igbo ever lived in their midst. That is another attestation to the FACT on ground.

And at that time, you hardly find Nigerians in their prisons. Unlike now that these countries are flooded by Igbos.
We are not complaining about being prisoners. It's beautiful to witness how things are changing. The Igbos are becoming the most influential people in cities and countries where they had zero presence 100 years ago. I call this growth and progress. It is a good thing, and we all should applaud it. Now imagine Lagos in the next 30 years. It is going to be incredible.

You mean to tell me that in 1891, there were no Igbo in Lagos, but today, Lagos is the 6th Igbo state? Wow, the Igbos should be studied. This is how to take over peacefully.

Thank you MOD for this.
It sets the record straight

You don't know anything about Lagos. Smh.

Lagos has never been for sale.

None of the strategic asset has been sold outside these groups. It's still within the family. The state takes over some of the strategic assets rather than allow it go to outsiders wink

Btw, when CofO was later invented, we insisted it must have expiry date.
Imagine Lagos back in 1891 then think of Lagos today. Again imagine Lagos in the next 100 years. What can you notice? The so called outsiders are getting stronger, richer, owning property, getting more numerous.
In 100 years time, people will find it hard to believe that the so called outsiders were less than 50% in 2025. Just as many are finding it hard to believe that the outsiders were 0% in 1891.
We can't stop the progress.

How many days has he been working in the garden if your so called "time" is relevant?🙂
That's why I ask you how old was Judas before he betrayed Jesus Christ, clearly, time was not relevant for Judas.
You and I know that the bible was not about celebrating Adam or Judas' birthday so it was not recorded. This still remains a foolish question.

But let's summarize and come to an agreement.
Is it ok if we say that JW bros believe that God created a timetable for Adam but somehow miraculously Adam did not use time before eating the fruit?

Let's make this our take away. We understand each other's position but we don't agree.

God created DAY and NIGHT for what purpose?

each one’s WORK will be shown for what it is, for the DAY will show it up, because it will be revealed by means of fire, and the fire itself will prove what sort of WORK each one has built. 1Corinthans 3:13

GOD created day for humans to WORK.

In time he came to a place and prepared to spend the NIGHT there because the sun had set. So he took one of the stones of that place and set it to REST his head on and lay down there. Genesis 28:11

God created night for humans to REST!

So it was not to set time limit for them but when it's dark they can relax and enjoy with their family then sleep not for them to start counting!🙂
Please don't confuse yourself. You answered your question perfectly then started getting confused.
Now lets go back to your answers.
GOD created day for humans to WORK.
God created night for humans to REST!

From your brilliant answers, it's clear that God created a timetable for man. Can you see that time was already in use before Adam ate the fruit? Thanks for the beautiful answer.
But it goes far deeper than that.
God created day and night even before creating man so the purpose of time predates man.
Again, even before the creation of day and night, God made use of time. That's why the bible talks about a beginning.
The word Beginning is already putting things into a timeframe.
So yes, time is older than man's creation.
And thanks for your answer that reminds us that a timetable was made long before Adam ate the fruit.

Ọmọ use your brain at times not just trying to be smart when you are not. smiley

If someone asked you to come and there is no time limit you won't bother because time is not attached.

If we are to live forever nobody will struggle so hard to accumulate wealth.

If we are to live forever no woman will agree to marry a polygamist.

If we are to live forever nobody will build house expecting tenants to come and rent.

Everything started from the day Adam got a death sentence so that is the foundation of this wicked system of things (world) which will soon end when God's Kingdom comes and nobody again will worry about time!🙂
So this is the product of your brain and not God's revelation.
Even at that, your brain is not doing a very good job.
God lives forever, yet He acknowledges time. So this alone should put all your theories to bed.
God lives forever, yet He created day and night before creating Adam.
So you are not depending on God's words. You are depending on your brain, as you sa,y and even that is up to very little.
Just stick to God's words and you will be fine, my guy.
Everything started in the beginning, as Genesis 1.1 says.
God clearly has a timetable.

Even in the Garden of Eden, they made use of time. There was time for God to visit, and there was time for Adam to tend to the garden. There was a day of rest. Time did not start after they left the garden. Use ya brain.

Night and Day doesn't have any relevance with our lives if we are to live forever.
Time became relevant when we must grow old and die through aging which comes with time so by the time eternal life begins time becomes useless that's the truth!🙂
So we can't just make up things. How do you know that Night and day doesn't have any relevance with our lives if we are to live forever.
Guesswork.
God lives forever yet he makes use of his own time as we learnt from 2 Peter.
So you are again wrong.

You often become aggressively with all manner of insults when you are questioned but expecting others to respond to you politely.

Well that's your cup of coffee.

Peter said a day is not 24 hours from the viewpoint of God so it means there no specific time limit before Adam and Eve sinned the time starts counting when God declared death sentence on Adam that's why Adam never lived up to 1,000 years {2Peter 3:8} before then man was created to live forever. If we don't have to grow old or die there is nothing called time since it's irrelevant to our existence just as angels don't have anything to do with timing the angels that have been in heaven since creation are still living till today!🙂
So time became relevant when God declared death sentence on Adam and Eve.
To illustrate imagine if someone is given a jail sentence what matters mostly to the jailer and the convict is the time that is exactly what the Bible calls end of the world because all badness started when Adam and Eve ate the forbidden fruit so badness will end after God cured mankind completely and from then we have no need for time again! Revelations 21:3-4 🙂
I wasn't being aggressive, I was only being blunt and honest. You asked an irrelevant question and someone needed to tell you.
Oga you are not making sense. There was specific time limits. God introduced day and Night as specific time limits.
Time has nothing to do with you living or dying.
God created day and night. That's called time. He did not wait for Adam to eat a fruit to do that.

Lastly, even God has and uses time.
2Peter 3.8
This verse explains, "But do not overlook this one fact, beloved, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day." It highlights the difference between human and divine timing.
So if God who can't die has his own time what makes you think that time began after Adam ate a fruit.
You really need to stop the guesswork and follow the gospel of Jesus Christ.

How old was Elijah when he performed his first miracle?
How old was Isaiah the second time God spoke to Him?
How old was Peter when he argued with Paul?

Foolish question, it doesn't matter if each day was 24 hours or 24000000 hours. A day on its own is a unit of time. So when you say 2 days, you are measuring a time span. Even on the Earth's poles (North and South poles), a day is not 24 hours, but yet it remains a unit of time, so you just made a useless point.

Did Adam die the same day he ate the fruit?
Please don't beat about the bush just go to your answer!🙂
The Bible introduces the concept of time right at the beginning of the Creation account in the book of Genesis.

Here is the perspective according to the Bible:

"In the beginning" (Genesis 1:1): The Bible begins with the statement, "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth." This phrase signifies a definite starting point for the physical universe and, by implication, time itself as we experience it (chronological time, with a past, present, and future).

The Creation of Days: The explicit creation of time as a measurable unit for humanity occurs on the First Day and is reinforced on the Fourth Day of creation:

On the First Day, God creates light and separates it from the darkness, calling them "Day" and "Night," establishing the first cycle of time: "And there was evening, and there was morning—the first day" (Genesis 1:5).

On the Fourth Day, God creates the sun, moon, and stars "to separate the day from the night, and let them serve as signs to mark sacred times, and days and years" (Genesis 1:14). This solidifies the framework for human measurement of time.

First, let me educate you:

The main problem is our definition of value. So, people want to see a man do something or mostly make money through his education before they can agree that "he has created value." Well, that is wrong. A graduate is not trained to create value. The graduate is the value. That is why they are CERTIFIED after graduation. It is up to the society to convert that value in them to ANYTHING useful. Some graduates get to go a step ahead, putting more effort into harnessing the potential, but it is not necessarily the ideal. Therefore, in any situation, a pastor can NEVER be compared to a graduate in terms of value. Value is first a potential, before it is a use. If a man has no value, no matter what he does, he is of no value. That is why no matter how a scammer goes around shouting "money na water" (Obi Cubanna or Cubanna Chief Priest) or that Blord guy, he can never be referred to as being valuable. A vase of gold can perform what the normal tumbler can do which is to be used as a water cup, but its value first is not what it is used for; it is the gold it is made from.
You clearly don't understand what value is. If, after 4 years, you still depend on society to make you valuable, then Odumeje was right. He is more intelligent than you. He did not wait for society to make him. He depended on his talents, hard work, and creativity to build a brand that millions know and enjoy.
And actually, Obi Cubanna or Cubanna Chief Priest) or that Blord have all created real value. They have products and services that we all know and enjoy. Obi Cubanna and Blord are both graduates, but they did not wait for society to define them or to make them valuable. These are job creators, taxpayers business owners. Very valuable to your economy.

Basilico, I give you the words of MLK. If you cant see the co-relation with Apartheid SA, well, I cant help you then.

"Now there's another myth that I want to mention, because if we are going to have action programs that will prod the forces in power so that they will make the necessary concessions, we are going to have to understand why the forces in power need to be prodded. Now this leads me to say that we've got to get rid of the myth of over-exaggerating the bootstrap philosophy. By that I simply mean this: Over and over again we hear that the Negro should lift himself by his own bootstraps. Then there are those who say over and over again, "Other ethnic groups did it; why don't you?" Now it doesn't help the Negro for unfeeling and insensitive people to say to him that he's been in this country more than 348 years and was brought here in chains, involuntarily, and yet people who have been here, other ethnic groups who have been here for a hundred or a hundred and fifty years have gotten ahead of him. That doesn't help him at all. That only deepens his problem, his frustration, and almost his self- hatred. For the people who are that insensitive never stop to recognize the fact that no other ethnic group has been a slave on American soil.

They never stop to recognize the fact that the nation made the Negro's color a stigma. It became something evil. You know even linguistics or semantics conspired against us on this. If you open Roget's Thesaurus, you'll find 120 synonyms for black. They are all degrading; smutty, dirty, lowly, every one of them. Now when you look for the 130 synonyms in that thesaurus for white, all of them [are] chaste, pure, everything elevated, and high and noble. So the society through its language structure came to the point of saying that a white lie is better than a black lie. If someone goes wrong in the family, you don't call them a white sheep, it's the black sheep of the family. If you know something about somebody, and you use that as a basis to bribe them and say that if you don't give them this amount of money that you are going to expose them you don't call that whitemail you call it blackmail. Go right down the language structure, and you see that everything conspired to make the Negro think that there was something wrong with him because of his color.

The other thing is that no ethnic group has lifted itself by its own bootstraps. The Negro was freed from the bondage of physical slavery through the Emancipation Proclamation in 1863, but he wasn't given any land to make that freedom meaningful. It was something like keeping a man in jail for many, many years, and then suddenly discovering that he is not guilty of the crime for which he was convicted. Then you go to the man and say, "Now you're free," but you don't give him any bus fare to get to town. You don't give him any money to get clothes to put on his back or to get on his feet in life again. Every system of justice or code of jurisprudence would rise up against this, and yet this is exactly what America did to the black man. It freed him from slavery and then left him there penniless, illiterate. He didn't have a thing, and there was no land provided.

The important thing that America must realize is this: That at the same time that she refused to give the black man anything, she was giving away millions of acres of land in the West and the Midwest through an act of Congress. Not only did she give the land, she built land grant colleges to teach them to farm. She provided county agents to help them and to get them expert, to give them expertise in farming. But not only that, the nation provided low interest rates in later years so that they could mechanize their farms.

Not only that, many of these persons are being paid today not to farm, and these are many of the persons who are telling the Negro that he should lift himself by his own bootstraps. A wonderful thing. I guess that it is all right to tell a man to lift himself by his own bootstraps, but it is a cruel jest to say to a bootless man that he ought to lift himself by his own bootstraps. Through centuries of denial, centuries of neglect, and centuries of injustice many, many Negroes have been left bootless.

This does not mean that we do nothing for ourselves. It does not mean that we should not amass our economic and political resources to reach our legitimate goals. It simply means recognizing, the nation recognizing, that it owes a great debt on the basis of the injustices of the past.".

From reading the bible, did Adam eat the fruit before the foundation of the world? Jesus Christ was chosen before time according to your bible, so it's impossible for God started working to save mankind from sin after Adam ate the fruit. Or don't you believe in the word of God?
