Hi Guys,

I have a very serious issue regarding a fraudulent transaction that occurred on my account in the first week of Feb. this year 2017. I got an alert early that morning that a new beneficiary has been set up on my account and the next alert came in almost immediately saying total of one million naira has been transferred from my account to the beneficiary account. I quickly rushed to the nearest gtb branch and complained. Fortunately, the transfer was made to a gtb account and so they were able to freeze the account. After all questioning as to if I knew the beneficiary and if I made the transfer, they eventually told me to get a bank order to enable them reverse the transfer. I quickly sent an email to my account officers to intimate them about the situation while I get the bank order to which they responded that they will do the needful when I get the bank order. I employed the service of a lawyer who was able to get the court order on Friday 17th Feb and subsequently submitted the court order at the head office Lagos the following week. I waited for about 4days for the reversal but nothing happened. I followed it by sending a mail to my account officer who claimed that they are still awaiting the court order. I responded by saying the court order has been submitted to the head office already and that he should check but up till now he never responded back. Another copy of the court was then submitted again to the head office 3days ago but nothing has happened since.
I have read some thread regarding similar case on nairaland and I am coming to the conclusion that I may have to escalate this issue to cbn but I do not know the appropriate email address. Please, I ask concerned one here on nairaland to help me on this case.

thanks

My account was almost cleared. I saw the alerts and called in immediately and the account was blocked. But before then quite a huge sum has gone out of the account to another GTBANK account. This is why I'm surprised. Please reply my pm let's team up and see how to get our money back. It's too painful. I think Gtbank is under cyberattack.

@ukay u harsh ooh, u want to get people sacked in this recession.....though their pranks are most times irritating, lets temper justice with mercy, the last time i called customer care about an issue of incompetence, someone lost his job, which i still feel guilty about......please i think their branch managers should be able to call them to order,if that fails then we can go higher.

I don't think he's harsh. Evil thrive in an environment where people tend to do nothing about issues. As for keeping quiet and tampering justice with mercy, I'm not cut out for that BS. My own justice is to fight a just cause and no one will be cheated on. I don't cheat people and it's painful to me when I'm being shortchanged. I don't ignore issues like that. I'll see how this plays out.

I have bidded at my own rate successfully via GTB,and was debited. ..not with their own small rates...

Learn how to call head office with all these banks. ...and let them know you have very apt knowledge of NTB programme. ....Just request you want to speak to Mr Agbale....MD of GTB ....you can even Google his email and send him an email of your problem. .......next time your account officer misses your call...he or she will start panicking. .....I dislike DISHONESTY. ..

Thanks. I'll do as instructed. I sent you a pm, please kindly reply. Thanks

I asked for their own rate

Then, they bidded at 17.9% for you based on my little knowledge of Tbills. I went with my rate though still waiting for the debit.

Just got debited by GTB for an amount far less than I bidded with. Could it be it was over subscribed?

What rate did you bid for with Gtbank. Thanks

Pls what is the interpretation of debit of #820493.15 instead of #1000000 bid. The bid is for 364 days at bank rate.

17.9% I guess. I might be wrong.

I doubt. I spoke with my account officer, he said they're waiting to hear from their head office. So let's see how it goes. I went with my own rate though. So I'm not scared if only he submitted my bid. These guys can be funny.

Most people seem to be forgotten that Enugu international Airport really exist... But Ethiopia airlines and others are really doing great job there, very ok and cheap. I mean I don't see the reason why someone would pay 700k just for flight ticket.

Don't worry. Get your Trv, check for flights to your destination. Enugu is not an airline but airport. No matter your take off, the price should still be same. Besides I haven't seen any Ethiopian airline from Enugu to Toronto or Fredericton. So bros Airport doesn't determine your airfare but Airline. Thanks

Emmalondon:

How much did the airfare cost when you booked it?

Are you going for your mastrr program?

Did you do your PGD in Nigeria? Do they accept Nigerian PGD for their mastrr program?
