To those who don't know, Russia puts more effort into the ISS than the US and often flies US astronauts to the ISS and brings them back.

Now, Russia is ending all working relationships between them on the ISS, which means the US and their NATO allies can no longer get to the ISS and do their part to keep the ISS in orbit.

So Russia is telling them to find a way to get themselves up there to do their own part of the deal to keep the ISS up there.

That ended some years back, I can't recall the year but I remember Americans celebrating flying astronaut to space from American soil, something they didn't do in 9 yrs after NASA contract expired.

Right now they are many private companies in the US willing to fly their astronaut to space, they no longer need Russia.

Infact space x has made reusable rocket which the US now use.

Nope . US triggered all this .Crimea was given to Ukraine by Russia in 1956 or so . It is mostly populated Russians . The West ousted the then president of Ukraine and installed this puppet leader ( note that trump’s impeachment was because of a call he had with this same president ) . Let’s say US or Uk decides to attack Russia navy without provocation and Russia wants to fire missiles at UK , with ukraine as a NATO member, Russia will be attacked immediately and swiftly . No super power wants that . Same thing US did during the Cuba missile crisis

I understand they wanted to join NATO but the bid to join NATO all started after the invasion of crimea.

So Ukraine applied to join NATO in 2008 but nothing much was done, infact there was no talk of Ukraine joining NATO till Russia decided to invade crimea in 2014.

If Russian hadn't invaded crimea the talk of Ukraine joining NATO would have even come up.

So it was Russia that triggered everything again.

Putin general estimated this war to take 3 days. There's been some speculation that most of Russia jet and planes might not be functional due to lack of maintenance and corruption and the Russia military.

Russia have not shown any air superiority in over 2 weeks of war, now they are using volunteer fighters. There's obviously something wrong with the Russia military which we don't know.

Russia manufactures all its weapons systems with all critical components made by Russian state-owned defence enterprises. if it wants to sustain the operation indefinitely, it could choose to do so. Constraining factors will be political will to continue and losses of manpower (either killed or captured).
