I laugh at those comparing Ukraine with Afghanistan, Syria or Iraq. Ukraine has a quite sizable, NATO trained modern army with enough weaponry. Coupled with Ukraine's massive landmass. Ukraine is Germany and half of France put together.

Plus the terrible weather conditions in Ukraine isn't really helping the Russian troops. Many Russian soldiers have lost their fingers or toes to frostbite.

It took the US over $3 trillion and 20 years to achieve anything meaningful in Afghanistan but just look at what Russia has achieved in just a month in Ukraine. It's impressive.

U can compare what US did in Afghanistan to Russia invasion of Ukraine.

US didn't send up to 300 000 army to Afghanistan.

US just wanted to topple the Taliban govt of Afghanistan because Afghanistan has become a safe heaven for theorist all over the world.

Russia is outrightly invading Ukraine, it's next door neighbor.

First of all consider logistics, US does not share direct bother with Afghanistan like Russia does with Ukraine.

Imagine having such poor logistics in a war with a country you share bother with.

Secondly US fight was with Taliban not Afghanistan, they didn't plan on taking of Afghanistan but just to topple the Taliban govt in Afghanistan which they did, including training the Afghanistan military, which they achieved.

The corruption in the Afghanistan govt and unwillingness of the Afghanistan military to fight was the reason Taliban took over just bas the US military was leaving. There's no way US could have fought Taliban forever.

The goal here is that a nuclear weapons should not explode because of its radiation. Infact it's the fear of radiation everyone is scared of, not the explosion itself, and I don't know if any country has such technology to prevent a nuclear missile from exploding.
