The reason for invading Ukraine cannot be because they want to join NATO. Even Finland is joining NATO too, they did not invade Finland, so why Ukraine.

They believe NATO is the only organization that can protect them from Russia invasion. US has no beef or interest with Russia. Infact ordinarily the two last country that will fight is Russia and US because they have no business with each other.

In this case NATO is not wrong, they didn't bully any of the smaller USSR countries to join them. Those countries willingly want to join them for their own interests.

Russia cannot start a nuclear war because they know the implications, a nuclear war will be the absolute end of Russia.

Fighting Russia is not the problem but Putin is, that man is unpredictable and may decide to US nuclear weapon.
