This is double standard nature of Apc and their supporters. Can you recall what happened, when Chibuke Amaechi, of rivers state, kwankwaso rabiu of Kano,, Ahmed of Kwara and Bukola Sarakil left PDP for Apc. Did the party structures in the various states not change hands and the decampees become the party leaders then, so what is different from what PDP wants to do in Edo?
The three PDP aspirants have tried remaining in the Party til now, but none of them, can win this election for PDP, no matter how much they try.
The need Gov Obaseki now, with his popularity and war chest, more over, if he wins, he just have a term of 4yrs. If Ize Iyamu wins,their suffering and waiting will be prolonged.

Difference is clear Saraki never defected NPDP factionalised nation wide and joined a new APC political party and in 2018 NAPC under galadinma factionalised to rejoin PDP there rightful home,. Unlike Obaseki trying to enter a stranger's house and make the best room for himself

If these PDP aspirants are wise, they'll relax and join forces with Obaseki to win Edo state from APC. Obaseki will serve his remaining 4yrs and by 2024, it'll be a smooth ride for PDP.

As it is now, PDP needs Obaseki's clouts to snatch Edo state from APC. Without Obaseki in the race for PDP, APC will have field day in rigging the election should Obaseki decide to play neutral.
