Even God give us freedom of expression....
You are happy with the law.....
What if my own expression is to make a thread with your pictures and that of your family just to call you gay and your family criminals using powerful Photoshop skills, should we leave such social media irresponsibility for God to judge, or if I use Twitter to accuse you of rape

Lets be realistic here, there is nothing like social media bills in democratic system of government because by so doing the government is systematically taking away the freedom of speech from the masses such government is refers to as dictatorship, a good government learn from his critics and put in his best to work, instead of trying to silent voice of the people by setting up social media bills, I have observed every move of this current government they try to venture into everything we the common enjoy as a citizen in this country also trying to silent our voice when we speak out.
The bill isn't regulating criticism against Government, you are free to use any means to criticize a Government including TV, Newspaper and Social Media

Regulations of Social Media deal with abuse of the social media against citizens to citizens,

It will not stop Buhari from being a failure
A bill is about to be passed by 2/3 majority of 360 lawmakers and members of National Assembly representing 768 local government accross Nigeria, including all parties, tribes and ethnicity on how to regulate our cyberspace yet your own concern is Buhari??

I bet you rejoiced over Trump's Executive order on social media regulations but reject such in your own country because of "Buhari's failure"

It's great to you cos it will solve all of Nigeria's most important problems immediately I guess?
Misinformation, social media fraud, fake news, inciteful social media post this are current problems the world is dealing with, having a legal framework on prosecuting crimes relating to online crimes is a good move

Great move, Nigeria is edging towards major disaster if we don't control our cyberspace from some wicked bloggers and inciteful ,fictitious ,Libelous post made by crazy people

Only in an unregulated lawless Nigerian Social Media space would a lady wake up and accuse a stranger of rape on her Twitter page, or a scammer clone your account and steal your pictures and start impersonating you to use your profile to beg people for money and scam people

Sanchez01:
The mop up aspect is not new. It used to be the function of the counter-terrorism center. This is coming in the wake of the rejection of Amotekun's-community policing merger proposed by the police and the recent showdown with the IPOB.

One thing the Buhari administration is notorious for is swiftly pushing certain agenda and solidifying them giving them legal backings, faster than most processes. They didn't waste time before proscribing IPOB and never did with Amotekun when the AGF hopped like a bunny to declare Amotekun illegal. Whereas, till date, Miyetti Allah is not illegal and the recent revelation about certain sponsors of the Boko Haram has died quietly.

Brace yourselves, people. I hate to sound like an alarmist but the pattern is obvious.
You clearly know what's going on and their Strategies..

Unfortunately Malami keeps goofing on legality of the Amotekun issue, again Southwest lawyers backing Amotekun would simply flaw this new unconstitutional agency of NSA with Fire Arms Acts of 1990, and the duplication of Amotekun act by the 6 states of SouthWest

The last arms mop up excersice directives Presidency gave NPF failed woefully, as police on night patrol encouraged vigilantes here to arm themselves and report on monthly basis to PCRC
