SportsMatch Preview : Fulham Vs Bournemouth by teegrams(op): 9:57am On Dec 03, 2021
On Friday evening, Fulham and Bournemouth will square off in the Championship with the top two clubs separated by just one point in the standings.

Despite leading the race for automatic promotion, neither the Cottagers or Cherries have won either of their last two league fixtures, handing encouragement to the chasing pack.

Consistency is everything in the Championship, and it has proven to be the difference when it comes to Fulham and Bournemouth establishing a considerable advantage in the race for the Premier League.

However, ahead of reaching the halfway stage, both clubs have started to show vulnerability, particularly Bournemouth who have only recorded one victory in five games.

Neither Marco Silva or Scott Parker will be too concerned at this stage with previous challengers West Bromwich Albion having dropped off alarmingly over the past month.

Nevertheless, there will be an eagerness to get back on track with a resurgent Queens Park Rangers having recently moved to within seven points of second position.

Fulham will argue that they are still on an upward trajectory, the West Londoners unbeaten in nine Championship fixtures and having conceded just three goals.

That will not stop Silva from being disappointed with draws against Derby County and Preston North End, both occasions proving to be missed opportunities to surge clear of their next opponents.

Netting just once in two games has coincided with Aleksandar Mitrovic being ill, the Serbian not being fully match-fit upon his return during the 1-1 at Deepdale last weekend.

As far as Bournemouth are concerned, they have blown leads in three successive matches, collecting just two points when they went into the final half-hour of matches with Derby, Millwall and Coventry City with an advantage.

The latter of those three games was particularly frustrating, Bournemouth 2-0 ahead and cruising until Jefferson Lerma's sending off altered the course of the match.

While Parker will take the positives from that performance, he knows that his side can ill-afford another setback on his return to his former club.

Mitrovic and Bournemouth forward Dominic Solanke come into the game having scored 36 goals between them in the Championship this season.

Regardless of their lack of form, this game is finely poised, and may depend on who shows the greater ambition to push for all three points. All things considered, however, do not be surprised if this ends in a low-scoring draw, a result which would suit both clubs.

SportsRagnick Identifies Three New Signings For Manchester United by teegrams(op): 5:04pm On Dec 02, 2021
Manchester United interim manager Ralf Rangnick has reportedly identified three new signings for the Red Devils, with Borussia Dortmund's Erling Braut Haaland included on the list.
Rangnick will lead the Red Devils for the remainder of the 2021-22 campaign before taking on a consultancy role at the club, where he will have a say on new signings.

According to Bild, the 63-year-old is determined to bring Haaland to Old Trafford, with the Norway international set to have a £63m release clause in his contract next summer.

The report claims that Chelsea forward Timo Werner is also a target, with Rangnick believing that he can get the best out of the Germany international in Manchester.

The incoming head coach is also allegedly planning a move for RB Leipzig's Amadou Haidara, who could be scouted by the Red Devils in his side's next two matches.

Haidara is believed to have a £33m release clause in his current deal, and the Mali international could arrive as early as January, with Man United set to target a new midfielder at the start of 2022.

Chelsea are likely to resist Werner moving to Man United, but Dortmund are facing an uphill task to keep Haaland, who is said to have a close relationship with Rangnick following their time together at Red Bull Salzburg.

SportsRonaldo Might Need To Change Game Style Under Rangnick by teegrams(op): 4:55pm On Dec 02, 2021
A former Old Trafford team-mate of the Portuguese superstar can understand why he is feeling frustrated on the back of being benched

Cristiano Ronaldo has been warned that he is going to have to "change the way he plays" in order to remain a talismanic presence for Manchester United under interim boss Ralf Rangnick, with the Portuguese still coming to terms with the fact that he was named on the bench for a trip to Chelsea.

Caretaker coach Michael Carrick has been quick to rubbish any talk of unrest in the Red Devils camp after seeing his No.7 head straight down the tunnel at the end of a 1-1 draw in west London, with an all-time great merely rotated out of his plans as a different approach was favoured.

There is every chance that Ronaldo will be returned to United’s starting XI for another heavyweight Premier League clash with Arsenal on Thursday, but Kleberson – a former Old Trafford team-mate of the five-time Ballon d'Or winner – believes he will need to offer more to the collective cause if Rangnick is to be convinced of his worth.

Kleberson, who was speaking in association with Paddy Power, has told GOAL of the debate regarding Ronaldo’s value and whether he does enough off the ball in order to figure prominently under Rangnick: “Cristiano Ronaldo can help Manchester United; he’s a leader and he can help the other players as well.

“There was a moment in the Chelsea game when they had a chance late on and Ronaldo tracked the full-back and tried to intercept the Chelsea cross. He tries to help Manchester United, but these are tough moments for them. It hasn’t been a great season.

“I understand how frustrated he gets. His reaction is normal for a player who is not starting or is subbed early. They’re never going to be happy with that. But Ronaldo is going to have to change the way he plays so that he helps the team more because that is what Manchester United need to get back to the top of the table.”

The Brazilian added on the frustration which appeared to boil over when Ronaldo opted not to acknowledge the travelling support in United’s last outing: “Cristiano Ronaldo was just frustrated at the end of the game when he headed straight down the tunnel.

“It wasn’t aimed at the supporters or manager. He came off the bench and they drew the game. Chelsea had more of the ball and more dangerous chances, all of the top players would be annoyed and frustrated by that.”

The bigger picture

Cristiano Ronaldo Michael Carrick Man Utd GFX

Ronaldo was introduced in the 64th minute against Chelsea, with Jorginho cancelling out an effort from Jadon Sancho shortly after that change was made.

He made little impact on proceedings, despite netting 10 times through 15 appearances since returning to Manchester over the summer, and Kleberson – who was signed by United alongside Ronaldo back in 2003 – can understand why a man that demands such high standards will be feeling disappointed at present.

He added, with interim boss Rangnick - who will see things through to the end of the 2021-22 campaign - about to open another new era for the 13-time Premier League champions: “It was surprising to see Cristiano Ronaldo on the bench for Manchester United. Everyone would have been surprised at Michael Carrick’s decision. I started to question what Manchester United actually want when they’ve bought in the best player in the world, only to leave him on the bench in the big games.

“But, once the game started and listening to Carrick after the game about his game plan, it made sense. It was a brave decision to make, but he wanted to give other players an opportunity. It’s important to mention that he didn’t just bench Ronaldo, but he also benched other key players.

“His plan for the team worked well though, it made United defensively stronger, which has been one of their biggest problems this season. After the game, I understood Carrick’s decision.

“Ronaldo’s reaction is normal – no one wants to sit on the bench. All players want to play, and every player prepares to give their all and when you hear that you aren’t starting, it’s tough to take. Players will all react the same, his reaction was normal. Ronaldo wasn’t happy and that was clear, but after the first goal, he still ran to his team-mates to celebrate.

“I understand his frustration as he wants to play every game.”

United will play host to Arsenal on Thursday sat tenth in the English top-flight table, five points adrift of their midweek opponents and 15 behind leaders Chelsea.

SportsJokes On Ballon D'or As Salah Showed In Derby Demolition by teegrams(op): 4:02pm On Dec 02, 2021
The Egyptian scored twice as the Reds ultimately ran riot at Goodison Park, triumphing 4-1 to pile pressure on their former boss Rafael Benitez

Everton 1-4 Liverpool: Match Statistics

Next time you hear someone say the form book goes out the window in a derby match, you can tell them to be quiet.

It certainly didn’t here. All of Everton’s pre-match fears were realised, as Liverpool showed them that yes, there are indeed levels to this game.

He’s the seventh-best player in the world, according to the Ballon d’Or voting. Nice joke. If there’s anyone better than Salah right now, then they’re keeping themselves well hidden.

That’s 19 goals this season in all competitions, and the Christmas decorations have only just gone up.

He got 44 in his first, record-breaking year on Merseyside; playing like this, he really could smash that total this time around.

He was backed up ably here, in fairness. Jordan Henderson, Liverpool’s skipper, was magnificent, scoring the first goal and setting up the second. A captain’s performance, if ever there was one.

Diogo Jota rounded off the scoring, and with a goal of elite class too, and at that point the home fans began to stream for the exits.

Find another sport for Mohamed Salah.

“You’re gonna boo in a minute,” came the taunts from the away end. They were right. The final whistle drew a loud chorus from those who had punished themselves by staying.

In the director’s box Bill Kenwright, the Everton chairman, and Marcel Brands, the director of football, were berated by supporters. It was not a pretty sight, or sound.

“Get him f***ing out of this club,” yelled one fan, then two, then more. “Write this in your report,” protested another. “This club is a joke, from top to bottom.”

Liverpool fans loved it, of course. “Rafa’s at the wheel,” they sang, echoing their taunting of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at Old Trafford in October.

Solskjaer has been sacked since that humiliation at the hands of the Reds, and it would be a surprise, to say the least, if Rafa Benitez was not following him to the Job Centre soon.

His Everton side, now without a win in eight games, were simply no match for an opponent that was sharper, quicker, more controlled and blessed with far greater quality in every single department.

Liverpool led by two inside 19 minutes, and it could have been five. Joel Matip and Salah had already missed chances by the time Henderson steered them ahead on nine minutes, a sumptuous left-foot finish from Andy Robertson’s pull-back.

Salah made it 2-0, racing onto Henderson’s pass and opening up his body to finish sublimely past Jordan Pickford in front of the Gwladys Street.

Some Everton fans rose from their seats at that point, and you could understand why. Liverpool looked rampant.

They let the hosts back in before half-time though, Demarai Gray left alone to beat Alisson from Richarlison’s fine pass. From nowhere, a lifeline. Goodison, at last, began to direct its passion in a positive manner. Their side, belatedly, began to press and harry and ask some questions.

Liverpool, though, had extra gears, and they used them ruthlessly after the break.

Nineteen minutes into the second half Seamus Coleman, the Everton captain, dallied on the ball on the halfway line and let in Salah, who simply ran away from the Irishman before slipping the ball past Pickford as if it were the easiest thing in the world. It was anything but.

Coleman beat the floor in frustration, as Salah celebrated in front of a jubilant away end, who let off a flare in delight.

There was more to come, Jota spinning sharply in the box to blast home high past Pickford 11 minutes from time, and had Liverpool been a little less charitable then the scoreline could have been even more embarrassing for Everton.

As it was, four will do, to go with the five they scored at Old Trafford earlier in the season.

These really are halcyon days for those Liverpool fans, some of whom invaded the pitch at the full-time whistle, hoping to nab one of their heroes’ shirts.

Nothing doing. Salah & Co made their way to the dressing room. Jurgen Klopp, grinning from ear to ear, delivered his trademark fist pumps; one, two, three.

His side, meanwhile, delivered their very own Fab Four.

A night to remember for the travelling Kop.

SportsMessi Admits Lewandoski Deserved The Ballon D’Or Award by teegrams(op): 4:59pm On Dec 01, 2021
The Paris Saint-Germain star praised the Poland international after he was deprived of the award in 2020 and finished second in the voting this year

Lionel Messi has said he believes Robert Lewandowski should be retrospectively awarded the 2020 Ballon d’Or as he praised the Bayern Munich striker in his acceptance speech for the 2021 honour on Monday.

Messi was crowned the 2021 Ballon d’Or winner at a ceremony in Paris, claiming the trophy for the seventh time in his career.

But the Paris Saint-Germain star admits he had tough competition in the form of Lewandowski this year as he gave a special mention to the Poland international.

WHAT HAS BEEN SAID

“I would like to mention Robert Lewandowski, it’s been a real honour to compete with you,” Messi said after collecting the trophy.

“Everyone knows and we agree that you were the winner last year.

“I think France Football should award you your 2020 Ballon d’Or – you deserve it and you should have it at home.”

He added: “I think Robert Lewandowski had a great year. Year after year, he improves and shows the excellent striker he is, as well as his ability to score goals.

“This year he was awarded as the top scorer. Of course he can certainly aspire to that level next year, thanks to his way of being on the pitch. And in addition, he plays for a big club.”

WHY HAS LEWANDOWSKI NOT WON THE BALLON D’OR?

Lewandowski was largely seen as the favourite to win the Ballon d’Or in 2020 because of his goal scoring exploits for Bundesliga champions Bayern.

But the award was cancelled that year because of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The 33-year-old was one of the top candidates to win the award in 2021, too, but he was beaten by Messi.

Lewandowski collected 33 points fewer than Messi, putting him in second place and 120 points ahead of third-place challenger Jorginho.

SportsManchester United Assign Rangnick As Interim Manager. Can he do the magic? by teegrams(op): 5:16pm On Nov 29, 2021

MANCHESTER UNITER ASSIGN RANGNICK AS INTERIM MANAGER

Manchester United announced on Monday they had assign Ralf Rangnick as interim manager. This is till the end of the season following the sacking of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

The 63-year-old German joins from Lokomotiv Moscow, where he was manager of sports and development.

Rangnick whose appointment is subject to work visa requirements will take a consultancy role at Old Trafford for a further two years.

Ralf will take over from first-team coach Michael Carrick. Michael Carrick has been in caretaker charge for two games since Solskjaer was sacked just over a week ago. This was as a result of a terrible run of results for the 20-time English champions.

“He was our number one candidate for interim manager, reflecting the invaluable leadership and technical skills he will bring from almost four decades of experience in management and coaching,” said United football director John Murtough.

Former RB Leipzig boss said he was excited to be joining United and focused on making it a successful season for the struggling club.

“Man Utd is full of talent and has a great balance of youth and experience,” he said. “All my efforts for the next six months will be on helping these players fulfil their potential, both individually and, most importantly, as a team.

“Beyond that, I look forward to supporting the club’s longer-term goals on a consultancy basis.”

United are eighth in the Premier League table after a 1-1 draw with leaders Chelsea on Sunday, five points off the top four.

First-team coach Carrick who has overseen a Champions League win over Villarreal and the draw at Stamford Bridge. He dropped Cristiano Ronaldo will remain in caretaker charge until Rangnick’s work visa is finalized.

Club bosses sacked Solskjaer last week after a 4-1 humbling at lowly Watford despite keeping faith with the Norwegian. Solskjaer was in charge for nearly three years.

Under his leadership United finished in the Premier League top four in back-to-back seasons for the first time since Alex Ferguson retired as boss in 2013 but they failed to win their first silverware since 2017.

United can boast abundant riches in attack, with Ronaldo, Edinson Cavani, Marcus Rashford, Sancho, Marcus Greenwood and Anthony Martial all vying for starting spots.

But their leaky defence has already conceded 22 goals in 13 games, more than four times Chelsea’s total of five.

Rangnick could take charge of United for the first time against Arsenal on Thursday if his work permit issues are sorted out quickly.

Former United defender Gary Neville tweeted: “Welcome to the Greatest Football Club in the World Ralf Rangnick.

“A contract for 6 months to coach the team. A contract for 2 years to coach the club.”

SportsLewandowski Tipped For Ballon D’or As Messi Eyes Seventh Prize by teegrams(op): 5:06pm On Nov 29, 2021
Robert Lewandowski threatens to deny Lionel Messi a record-extending seventh Ballon d’Or title as the prestigious awards ceremony returns Monday after it was cancelled last year because of the pandemic.

The Bayern Munich and Poland striker pilfered a Bundesliga record 41 goals in just 29 games last season to eclipse the long-standing mark set by the late Gerd Mueller.

Lewandowski, 33, scooped FIFA’s prize for best male player of 2020 and has the backing of both coach Julian Nagelsmann and Bayern team-mate Thomas Mueller after a prolific start to the new campaign.

“‘Lewy’ has to win the thing on Monday when you see the way he is playing at the moment,” Mueller said of a player who has already scored 25 times in 20 appearances this season.

Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo have combined to win 11 of the past 12 editions of the Ballon d’Or, the lone exception in 2018 when Luka Modric helped Real Madrid to another Champions League triumph and inspired Croatia to the World Cup final.

“Robert deserves to win it because in my view he has been more unbelievably consistent than any other player,” Nagelsmann said last month in an interview with Munich newspaper Abendzeitung.

While Messi has endured a stop-start beginning to life at Paris Saint-Germain, the Argentine bagged 30 league goals in his farewell season at Barcelona and also won the Copa del Rey.

Further strengthening his case was a first major international trophy in July, as Argentina beat rivals Brazil to win the Copa America at the Maracana — ending the country’s 28-year wait for the title.

5 REASONS RALF RAGNICK IS BEST FOR THE JOB AT MAN UNITED

According to reports, the German tactician remains interested to replace Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at Old Trafford.
Manchester United are going through a terrible phase in the ongoing 2021/22 season. The Red Devils have lost three of their last four Premier League games. Despite having world-class players in the squad, the club are lacking consistency and good results.

As a result, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has come under immense pressure. There is a possibility of a situation where the club decides to part ways with him to save the season. In that situation, unfortunately for the club, there are not many high-profile managers available who can stand the pressure of leading a club of this stature. However, German master tactician Ralf Rangnick has emerged as a possible option.

Here are five reasons why Ralf Rangnick could be a suitable candidate to replace Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at Manchester United.

5. Hope for the fringe players of the squad

There are many players in the MUFC squad who are not getting enough chances to or gametime. Some individual players are starving for playing minutes such as Donny Van de Beek, Jesse Lingard, Dean Henderson and Jadon Sancho. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer seems to have more faith in a few selected individuals who make the team sheet despite dodgy performances. Due to this fact, players like Van de Beek are cutting a frustrated figure and could look for moves elsewhere.

Another player who falls in this category is Anthony Martial. Arrival of forwards like Edinson Cavani and Crisitano Ronaldo has pushed Martial way down in the pecking order. Ole does not seem to trust the Frenchman who is spending majority of the time on the bench. Ralf Rangnick will definitely utilise all of these options to good effect. His tactical ingenuity will lead to these players getting more opportunities to shine on the field. This is absolutely vital to keep the morale of the squad high and retain the squad depth to make a challenge for multiple trophies.

4. Brilliant tactical mindset

Reports suggest that Ralf Rangnick is interested in taking the manager's job at Manchester United. Here's why he can be a good interim manager.
Rangnick won the DFB-Pokal with Schalke 04 (Courtesy: DFB)
Ralf Rangnick comes with immense pedigree. The 63-year-old has been part of football for several years and got into the coaching side of the game from an early age. Nicknamed ‘The Professor’, he is credited with inspiring top German managers like Jurgen Klopp, Thomas Tuchel and Julian Nagelsmann. He is the brains behind the phenomenon of gegenpressing, which he implemented to success at Schalke 04, where he won the DFB-Pokal.

Ralf describes his tactical approach to football as “fast, proactive, attacking, counter-attacking, counter-pressing, exciting and entertaining [style of] football.” This is everything Manchester United is lacking currently and the German could be the ideal replacement in these hard times.

3. Will give the players an immediate boost

Ralf Rangnick has the experience of working with both youngsters and experienced players. His arrival will lift the dropped shoulders in the dressing room. In a recent interview after the defeat to Manchester City, captain Harry Maguire indicated that the players lacked belief.

The German has a charisma to drive players forward and produce the best out of them. His approach to football is electric and will utilise the available options at Manchester United to full-effect. The shift in the mood and the energy he will instill can guide the Red Devils to a top-four finish or may even win them a silverware by the end of the season.

2. Eagerness to join the club

There aren’t many options available to replace Ole as the manager. Especially after Antonio Conte agreed to join fellow Premier League outfit Tottenham Hotspur.

Furthermore, Erik Ten Hag is a name thrown around a lot as a potential replacement but according to reports, he does not want to take up the job at Old Trafford. However, he was interested in the Manchester United job following the dismissal of Jose Mourinho – before the club decided to appoint Ole. Chances are, with able persuasion – the German tactician will take up the role to replace Ole at the helm of the club.

“Club building is about building the right squad by transferring the right players away and having more than 50 per cent success rate of bringing in the right players,” he said to the Guardian in 2019.

1.His introduction can solve systemic issues at MUFC

Ralf Rangnick is an exceptional figure in football operations and can work wonders by working behind the scenes. One of the reasons Manchester United have lagged behind fellow competitors like Liverpool and Manchester City is due to the lack of football expertise in key decision making.

Ralf Rangnick could be the perfect candidate for the English giants. His wealth of knowledge could be vital in bringing in ideal players. A figure that compliments the club’s ethos and plays according to their identity. MUFC are suffering from an identity-crisis, unable to play attacking football and defend as a unit. These systemic issues need to be addressed from the source and this is where Rangnick could be vital.

OSIMHEN INJURY CALLS FOR IGHALO AS REPLACEMENT AT AFCON

Could the veteran hitman be a replacement for the injured Napoli striker?

With Victor Osimhen set to miss out on the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations in January, GOAL’s Daniel Kolade assesses Odion Ighalo’s chances of being the man to lead the Super Eagles upfront.

After suffering a cheekbone fracture, Osimhen underwent successful surgery and is now set to be out for at least three months, per an update from the club.

The 22-year-old was expected to lead the line in the continental showpiece but all of those plans are now off the cards.

Elsewhere, a section of fans have called for players like Taiwo Awoniyi and Paul Onuachu to be given chances to impress and show their worth.

However, at the moment, Ighalo is the natural replacement to come in for Osimhen, but question marks remain over the 32-year-old’s recall to the Super Eagles, not to mention whether he can effectively lead the line.

Odion Ighalo - Nigeria vs Cape Verde
Can Ighalo step in and fill Osimhen’s shoes?

Recalled from his two-year international retirement, the recall of Igahlo was met with much backlash.

It did not help that the Al-Shabab forward had a game to forget in Nigeria’s recent drab stalemate with Cape Verde.

It’s a far claim to say that Ighalo could come in and replicate Osimhen’s displays with the Super Eagles, not to mention the Napoli man’s consistency over recent times as well.

Osimhen has enjoyed a fine campaign so far this season, for club and country, and had the potential to be Nigeria’s difference-maker at the tournament in Cameroon as Nigeria look to win their first title since 2013.

Beyond his nine goals for Napoli across all competitions, the 22-year-old accounts for four out of Nigeria’s last seven goals across all outings.

It’s important to note that Osimhen brings more than just goals to the Super Eagles but his all-round play offers a different dimension.

On days when he doesn’t score, his presence and energy as a No. 9 are key assets, and make him a difficult task to handle for opposition defenders.

Ighalo might have won the Afcon Golden Boot in 2019 but he is far from the player he was two years ago.

His experience all over cannot be disputed but he can’t offer the versatility that Osimhen would bring upfront.

Whoever will lead the Super Eagles into the continental competition has a big decision to make in terms of striking options.

Ighalo himself might have a point to prove after recent criticism, but there’s little to offer encouragement that he can step in to replace Osimhen and the vast contribution he could have made to the Super Eagles’ Nations Cup prospects.

SportsBayern Leverkusen Vs Celtic!! The Germans Or The Scottish? Your Pick? by teegrams(op): 3:51pm On Nov 25, 2021
BAYERN LEVERKUSEN VS CELTIC!! THE GERMANS OR THE SCOTTISH? YOUR PICK?

Bayer Leverkusen will be looking to secure all three points and qualify for the last 32 of the Europa League when they host Celtic in their penultimate Group G encounter on Thursday evening.

The Hoops, meanwhile, could move into the top two with a victory at the BayArena, if Real Betis were to drop points against Ferencvaros.

BABOYO SAYS

Celtic were well beaten against Leverkusen in September, but with the hosts to be without a few key players on Thursday, a closer affair could be on the cards this time around.

Nevertheless, the Germans will be the favourites for this contest and still have enough quality in their squad to secure all three points at the BayArena.

Regardless, our expert tipster partners at are predicting more than one goal in this match.

Baboyo says over 1.5

SportsChampions League List For Qualified Teams To Knockout Stage.. Is Your Team Here? by teegrams(op): 2:28pm On Nov 25, 2021
CHAMPIONS LEAGUE LIST FOR QUALIFIED TEAMS TO KNOCKOUT STAGE.. IS YOUR TEAM HERE?

We're entering the harsh depths of winter, which means it's time to start separating the men from the boys in the Champions League.

With just one round of group games remaining, 11 teams have sealed their passage to the knockout stages in 2022.

But who has qualified, how did they get there and will they be seeded in December's draw? Step right up…

1. Bayern Munich

Seeding: Group E winners

2020 winners Bayern Munich are obviously through to the last 16, it would hardly be a Champions League knockout stages without them.

While top spot is already secure thanks to their 100% winning record, Julian Nagelsmann's side also have the pleasure of being able to eliminate Barcelona if they beat them on matchday six. Tasty.

2. Liverpool

Seeding: Group B winners

Jurgen Klopp admitted that he did not expect to qualify for the last 16 after just four games following Liverpool's double over Atletico Madrid, but here he and his men are.

Like Bayern, the Reds are searching for a seventh Champions League crown.

3. Ajax

Seeding: Group C winners

After a couple of years out of the spotlight following their memorable 2018/19 run, Erik ten Hag's Ajax are back in the Champions League knockouts having won their first four group games - including back-to-back victories over Borussia Dortmund.

4. Juventus

Seeding: Group H, TBD

While Juventus' domestic woes continue and they're facing an uphill battle to qualify for the Champions League next season, they can at least be comforted with the fact they'll still be in this year's competition come February.

Their thrashing at the hands of Chelsea might unnerve them moving forward, however…

5. Manchester United

Seeding: Group F winners

In spite of the crisis that's threatening to get way out of hand at Manchester United, at least they're through to the knockout stages of the Champions League for the first time in three seasons.

For all of his group stage antics, Cristiano Ronaldo is also looking to break a knockout stage duck of his own by advancing past the last 16 stage for the first time in three seasons…

6. Chelsea

Seeding: Group H, TBD

Can anyone stop Thomas Tuchel's Chelsea from being the first team not named Real Madrid to retain the title in the Champions League era? Stay tuned...

7. Inter

Seeding: Group D, TBD

For the first time in ten years, Inter have secured their place in the knockout stages of the Champions League - hooray!

The Nerazzurri can secure top spot with a win at the Santiago Bernabeu on matchday six.

8. Real Madrid

Seeding: Group D, TBD

But hoping to pip Inter to first place is old nemesis Carlo Ancelotti and his Real Madrid side, who have been going from strength to strength in recent weeks with Karim Benzema and Vinicius Jr in the form of their lives.

9. Manchester City

Seeding: Group A winners

Beaten finalists Man City are ready to have another crack at Europe's grandest trophy after topping a group featuring Paris Saint-Germain.

Can Pep Guardiola win his first European Cup in over a decade? God, I'm getting old.

10. Paris Saint-Germain

Seeding: Group A runners-up

While PSG were beaten in their crunch showdown with Man City on matchday five, RB Leipzig's demolition of Club Brugge ensured that the Ligue 1 side had qualification in the bag heading into the last round of group games. Well done, you have Neymar, Kylian Mbappe and Lionel Messi.

11. Sporting CP

Seeding: Group C runners up

Props to Sporting Club de Portugal for a) winning their first league title in forever last season and b) knocking Borussia Dortmund out in the Champions League group stages to seal their own path to the knockouts!

SportsNs Mura Vs Tottenham: Can Tottenham Win This? What Will Be The Outcome? by teegrams(op): 1:12pm On Nov 25, 2021
MATCH PREVIEW: NS MURA VS TOTTENHAM, WILL TOTTENHAM PREVAIL?

Spurs sit second in the section with seven points to their name, while the Slovenian hosts are yet to pick up a point in the competition.

Pitting their wits against the likes of Spurs, Rennes and Vitesse was always expected to end one way for Slovenian minnows Mura, whose time in Europe's tertiary competition will come to a bitter end before the end of the calendar year.

Ante Simundza's side are rock bottom of Group G having lost their opening four games, although they did give leaders Rennes a good run for their money last time out before ultimately succumbing to a Loic Bade header with 76 minutes played.

Mura are one of three sides in the tournament - along with Alashkert and Lincoln Red Imps - sitting on zero points after four games, while they have also shipped 10 goals and chalked up just two at the correct end of the pitch.

With a trip to Vitesse to come on the final matchday, Mura are at a real risk of ending Group G without a single point to their name, and a 1-1 draw in the league with NK Domzale at the weekend stretched their winless run across all tournaments to six games.

Simundza's men have claimed just one win from their last 11 in all tournaments as they continue to falter in their title defense, and Tottenham will only be intent on prolonging the hosts' misery with another goal-laden performance.

Conte made his intentions clear straight away with a first-choice XI for his maiden game in charge, and the move initially appeared to pay off for the Premier League and Serie A winner, with his side racing into a 3-0 lead against Vitesse before the half-hour mark.

what do you think can happen in this match? Can Tottenham win or will they struggle?

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)UCL Psg VS Manchester City, What Will Be The Outcome? by teegrams(op):
Seeking to avenge their September defeat at the Parc des Princes, Manchester City welcome Paris Saint-Germain to the Etihad Stadium for Wednesday’s Champions League Group A battle.

The hosts currently sit at the summit with nine points to their name, but PSG are only one point behind and will also eye qualification to the next round this week.

MATCH PREVIEW
Two weeks after putting five past surprise package Club Brugge on their Belgian turf, Man City produced an equally ruthless performance to comfortably dispatch their Group A counterparts in Manchester, with Phil Foden, Riyad Mahrez, Raheem Sterling and Gabriel Jesus on the scoresheet in a 4-1 success.

City’s bid for back-to-back Premier League titles also gathered pace at the weekend with a comprehensive 3-0 thumping of Everton – during which Rodri scored one of the goals of the season – but Guardiola is still after that elusive European crown.

A thunderbolt from Messi and strike from Idrissa Gueye saw PSG prevail 2-0 over Man City in Paris two months ago, but Guardiola’s men won 2-0 at home in last season’s semi-finals, and the visitors are without a goal at the Etihad from their previous three battles on the Manchester turf.

PSG have historically struggled for a clinical edge at the Etihad, but their recent goal scoring exploits with the famed front three should certainly see them register at least once in midweek.

CRISTIANO RONALDO SCORES 800TH CAREER GOAL

Ronaldo at it again!!!

Cristiano Ronaldo Scores 800th career goal. Manchester United forward Cristiano Ronaldo hit yet another landmark with his 800th career goal in Tuesday’s Champions League win over Villarreal.

CLICK HERE FOR SURE FOOTBALL PREDICTIONS: https://baboyo.com/

Before Jadon Sancho rounded off the scoring against the Yellow Submarine, Ronaldo capitalised on a defensive error from Villarreal to chip goalkeeper Geronimo Rulli in the 78th minute.

The 36-year-old kept up his phenomenal streak of scoring in every Champions League game so far this season, with his sixth goal of the tournament representing a new personal milestone.

Ronaldo’s opener against Unai Emery’s side marked his 800th goal of a glittering career, as well as being his 140th in the Champions League.

It has been over 19 years since Ronaldo scored his first senior goal in Sporting Lisbon colours, and 128 of his 800 strikes have come during his two spells at Man United.

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner now has 10 goals to his name from 14 games this term as United confirmed their place in the last-16 with Tuesday’s 2-0 win.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp will try to spare as many of his senior players as he can from the Champions League dead rubber at home to Porto.

His side are already qualified as group winners with two matches to spare but with injuries still significantly affecting his squad, he admits he will prioritise their welfare over playing a full-strength side.

"We always respect the competition but we have to think about ourselves and our schedule and the situation of our players first," he said.

"We didn't make these decisions yet, to be honest, because, how we all know, in this time of the season, the medical department has a big hand in line-ups."

Jordan Henderson was only fit enough for a substitute role against Arsenal on Saturday after returning from England duty with a minor problem, while left-back Andy Robertson was left out entirely after injury with Scotland.

Both are fit enough to face Porto but Klopp has a balancing act.
