Good evening everyone, stuck at 6.5 in ielts writing second attempt. The detailed result keep suggesting I work on my conclusion.

Please help a brother, I need a volunteer writing tutor PLEASEEE, thanks to @Martins, a God sent from this thread, I am sure I would have probably score 2 or 3 in my first attempt if not for his effort and God's grace.

Also thinking aloud, if max out all as aimed CRS will still sit at 469, if max 3 CRS 466. For people in this category how are you feeling?

Started learning French but I always feel distracted and almost discouraged due to the current setback I am having with ielts considering the outcome of the language I have been studying for over 20years.

God please let it end in praise

1. Please edit, your question/sentence is not complete.
2. It is possible to work to augment your savings. Hopefully finding a job won't be too difficult but bear in mind that unemployment has increased due to COVID-19
3. Your school should have provided this information to you. If not, check your school website.
4. There's always prospect for jobs. Put in the effort and see if you find something. If you are looking for graduate roles, you must have started applying by now for September 2021 start. Leave it till November or December and things get more difficult.

Good evening everyone, a quick answer will be appreciated.

1. For Nigeria living in Bristol, UK what is life like for a masters student?

2. For someone whose plan is to work alongside with study to compliment living expenses how workable is this plan?

3. What is the average living expenses for family of 3 per month:
3i Rent per month
3ii Cost of living including food, drink e.t.c per month

4. Any prospect for IT professional in Bristol during and after Masters degree?

Thanks for your responses, God bless

Please how easy is it to bring in wife and kids during or after studying masters likely duration for the processing and cost. Thanks
justwise:
[/b]

That will be very difficult with kids and wife, the wife has to work full time while he works part time

Thanks so much, he will research on the T1 Visa type and revert
Aphrodite007:

Hang on. If he is paid 800k monthly in Nigeria, he must be experienced enough to apply for a job from Nigeria, he doesn’t need to come here to apply and IT is part of shortage list. The only problem is this might take time.

Another way would be the T1 route. He seems to be rich, he should check what he needs to sponsor himself through the T1 route (Technation visa).

Thanks bro, Living his family behind might not be an option for him, Also, considering house rent in the UK, just curious if his earning of part time job during study will be enough to cater for that without having to source fund from naija?
justwise:

As a software developer he has a good chance of getting a job after graduation if he is good at it, with the two years post-study work permit program he will have enough time to make that decision.

He can come first then bring his family later.

Thanks so much bro, can you please emphasis on the last paragraph. What do you mean by getting a better offer else where? If you dont mind please can he connect with you via telegram, WhatsApp e.t.c as a mentor in his field
tennyalad:
There are two main universities in Oxfordshire, if he's going to the ivy league one, he's will be in a position to choose any jobs he basically wants to do.

Depending on the dev language he's proficient in, he would probably make the same money he already makes in Nigeria here working part time during study and he's almost guaranteed to get a job post study that would probably lead to sponsorship.

I work in the industry and know how easy it is to extend an offer and hope the person starts before getting a better offer elsewhere.

I suggest that he comes in first without his family to weigh up things then decide whether he can hack it in the UK.

Does he have kids?

Good morning, kudos to everyone contributing on this thread. Asking the question on behalf of a brother:

Question:
Please a quick response is needed as he is about to make a decision by paying School deposit tomorrow location is Oxfordshine.

his profile:
He is Software Developer with paid employment here in Nigeria, he also have his personal business with an average income of like 800k per month, he is also a family man and he live in his own house, presently maintaining 3 cars, wife also have her business running averagely well just to mention but few about him.

The Big Question is that he seems to be tired of this country and he is finding every means NOT to raise his children in this country. So the main reason why he wants to travel abroad is to explore every means to stay permanently after study, please how attainable is this plan?.

Please for those living in the UK, what is life like for IT professional in the UK? Viz and viz securing a job during and after study (M.Sc) the average living expenses and how attainable is the dream of living a better life.

Note: Considering his little status here working as a security guard or shop attendant may not be of best interest ALTHOUGH he is not unaware that nothing good comes in easy way especially in foreign land.

Thanks for your prompt responses

@ all thanks for the feedback. The fact is that all possible means to get him proved abortive as information revealed that he is out of the country as his office is no longer functioning.

Please can she just say she was refused, I think even if she was banned then, the banned will have been lifted as it's over 5years. I stands to be corrected, please is she good to go?

Good afternoon all,
A friend I introduced to this journey in January got ITA in the last draw, even when the introducer is still struggling with IELTS lol, she is about to submit her application and needs clarification

Question: She applied for Canada visiting Visa in February, 2015 through an agent. She only went to Lagos for biometric, every other details including email address used for correspondence was arranged by the agent.

After sometimes the agent returned her passport to her, so she didn't know if she was refused, ban or so.

Please what will she input in the column where she is to indicate if she has been refused a Visa before

Thanks for your prompt response.

Good morning everyone,

Please has anyone experience this before?
My ielts exam was to take place in Ibadan today, I received a cancellation mail yesterday asking me to reschedule because British Council has restricted exam to Lagos and Ibadan for now.

I navigated through their website, no information on how to reschedule, I sent them a mail requesting them to reschedule my test to Lagos since exam will not hold in Ibadan for now.

SUPRISINGLY: I logged into my account on their portal this morning only to find out this, see screenshot below

Does it mean the exam still hold as scheduled coz I dont even understand again. NOTE: I have called their official line times without number all to no avail, I sent them several emails, what i got was only generic mail, no response yet for days

Good morning everyone, congrats to all ITA clinches

My ielts exam is on Saturday, location is Ibadan.

My Question:
Since I didn't receive any cancellation or postponement mail from BC as at today, it means the exam will take place as scheduled?

Urgent response please, I am asking because I am not presently in IB

Thanks

Although, I am new in this journey but I believe there will be substitute to the requirements as CLEARLY stated on their website that A,B,C or its equivalent. I think a Post Graduate Diploma is higher than bachelor degree,
POST GRADUATE DIPLOMA=
Postgraduate diplomas and postgraduate certificates are qualifications at the same level of study as Masters degrees, but they're shorter and you don't have to write a dissertation. That means they're more advanced than undergraduate Bachelors degrees.

The postgraduate diploma is a postgraduate academic qualification taken after a bachelor's degree. It is usually awarded by a university or a graduate school.

@ the person with EOI, just be hopeful, I believe it will work in your favour.

lasignor:
One of the 'two or more degrees' has to be a Bachelors degree. That's OINP requirement. They won't accept a diploma of even 3years. I won't advise you to proceed

Thanks so much
Erechi:

I don’t think listening Is case sensitive, but spelling errors is checked, also how to write time is important 9:00 pm not 9pm..also sometimes the pm or am is already provided especially in full in the blanks so just write the figure without the accompanying words( am or pm) this also applies to the money signs..
Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 9 by Teemez: 9:54pm On Jul 27, 2020
Thanks so much, please what do you mean by as it should be, I am talking about Listening, not reading. Are you saying listening is case sentisive?
Erechi:

Is it computer based or paper based you are writing? If it paper then words there are not case sensitive but for all those 9 am and all, you need to put it exactly as it should be...I mostly used ieltsonlinetest for my listening and it was good for me got 8.5, also a section I practiced before on ieltsonlinetest was repeated in the exam! A whole 10 questions!!! So ieltsonlinetest was very very effective for my listening!

Good evening all, Weldone to the gurus and congratulations to everyone in post ITA stage. May grace also locate all of us at the very beginning stage, may GRACE find us all.

To everyone that had written ielst Computer Based Test before, plesse I need your assistance in responding to this question:

I have been using ieltsonlinetest.com to practice, this evening I decided to take the practice test that came with the registration ONLY to discover that I score 33/40. Infact I cant even explain my feelings now, me that I thought I am good to go considering my least score of 37/38 while practicing with ieltsonlinetest.com.

So I decided to take the test one question each I.e I will take question 1 and click submit, I do this to all the 40questions only to find out that
1. If you hear 9am the system will mark it wrong and expect that one should write it like this 9.00 without putting the a.m at the back
2. If your hear half past 7 and you write 7.30 the system also mark it wrong
3. It is also case sentisive
I am worried because only God knows how many rules one have to follow if this is thesame in the real exam

MY QUESTION
Is the above thesame in the real exam ?

Use ieltsonlinetests.com only for listening.
Do not I repeat do not use that site for reading. They are a different format. Use only Cambridge for reading module.

Good evening bro
Please what was your best score in Listening and Reading when practicing with ieltsonlinetest.com? Your response will be highly appreciated. My Exam is next month.
crespo67:
Thanks.. Well, the one I eventually passed, I prepared for it in one day, although I had prepared for and written the previous one less than two weeks prior to that time.I would say do your best, practice with Cambridge and https://ieltsonlinetests.com do the recent actual test for reading and listening. I think their listening are quite fast so it will train you to listen closer. For writing, you can contact Johnnybravo or Blissneye or Wasseynet or any of the verified writing tutors here. Some have a fee, others do for the love of God. In all, its not the length of time you take to practice. It's really about training your ears to listen attentively. I must tell you, luck is a big factor in passing this exam so pray you are lucky. All the best.
