HRwells:Don't say that at sundown pls |
seunmsg:My dear, we are weak. A look at our history would show that the story of afonja (don't interfere my ibo brothers) is a display of how we betray our own to gain the power of outsiders. It is a norm for secret meeting to be relayed to someone a traitor would go back to say ranka dede to. Knowing this, we just have to know when to scratch one another's backs else, we will never have the future we desire on the nigerian political landscape. One more thing, mistakes have been made by inaction of the current administration in some relevant areas. It would be better a northerner corrects those mistake than a southerner do so else it would be taken as victimization and possibly lead to grudges. Also, mistakes of the north would be easily forgiven by the south if a northerner corrects them. I speak in riddles of which I know you understand. |
seunmsg:While rational thinking should be the norm, emotional reasoning has been the way of northern voters and they have the numbers. When emotions overshadow logic, anything could be used to justify it. If the south wants an uninterrupted eight years, pdp has to give the north a four year rule but apc cannot at the moment else it will split and we all know who will spearhead it ![]() Sometimes, one has to eat the yam because of the palm oil for the sake of future posterity. |
I believe using a yoruba man as national chairman, and flying the atiku and obi candidature would help the pdp for the next term. with atiku going only for one term and using the tale of yaaradua's 'missing' term, it would pacify the north paving way for a southern president for the upper tenure. |
Sends a wrong message at a time the government is trying to raise money through taxes. The good thing is people would be really interested in government finances and whom to vote for in the next election |
The best president Nigeria never had |
Feshizzy:I will buttress that anyone who makes claims to you should give you a temporary investor password for you to confirm an at least six months account. There is a big difference between trading and knowing how to trade. Sometimes, personal demons could affect a good analyst only for him/her to make mistakes that even a novice that follow instructions would not make. Thanks Feshizzy for bringing this up. Also, walexy100 you can bring up your points without being insultive to anyone and your views would be noted. Let’s all try to maintain the harmony of traders while watching out for one another. Cheers all. |
It is inevitable. I presume a N500/$ rate would be attainable but if policies happen to make a jittery public, 600-700 levels might be spiked https://www.nairaland.com/5608088/forex-trade-alerts-season-20/157#86937832 https://twitter.com/BudgITng/status/1230533359555743744

bjstardom:Is there a way to do Fx sales online? I always have to go to the bank to write a letter of authorization before sales are made |

The statistics are right, the propaganda ongoing. Can you guess what this means for dollar earners?

akinbode1:Could you help me with the direct web link of that infographic. Thanks in advance |
Lamabel:I don't think so (not sure). I withdraw to my savings but they always drop it in my dom. |
It is recommended to get the fiverr app if you want to get more sales. A buyer will readily liaise with someone online than someone not available. Also, get ready to lose some sleep. |
GTB exchange rate as at last week is $362 Payoneer charges 2% per withdrawal, takes less than 24 hours to get to Dom account You then proceed to the bank and write a letter of authorization for the forex sales. Takes about a day. Sometimes, GTB might hold on to the money. Once you complain to their online help desk, you get your money. After doing this once, it shouldn't happen again. You have to show a transaction proof of the Payoneer funds if you want to make forex sales from Dom to Savings/Current. You can get this on the transaction details page. That small 'note' icon, click it and you will see a download link below. Download the pdf to phone and take to bank. Pays a lot more than using Payoneer exchangers that want to but at 340/$ E.g a $100 tranasction using exchangers is N34,000 (final rate 340/$) Using GTB, you receive $98 in dom which converted gives N35,476 (final rate 354.36/$) |
nani667:Yes, that HxH episode was epic |
Corrections:How I wish my country were as organized or civilized as most countries in the western world, but alas, it is not so. It is just unfortunate that this reeks of a group of people who came together to do something that would rake in money just like the Niger delta amnesty programme that one still hear rumours of inconsistencies. Good ideas turned over. Take the case of the herdsmen issue. We can't say all caught will be prosecuted neither will we talk about killing all that it won't look like genocide. An approach of divide and conquer is needed. Some will be spared provided they give useful information, ring leaders will be caught and the rest will adjust themselves. The numbers are large and with the way they keep revamping their numbers from innocent victims, the carrot and stick method has to be put in place to slow their momentum. State witnesses are sometimes absolved of their crimes provided they play ball with the authorities to get rid of the big fish. This is itself a statement of inefficiency of the current armed forces for not being able to do their assignment within reasonable time or that trying to do their work would lead to a larger than expected number of casualties. Unless there is incentive for them to betray themselves, this war is far from over. I wish the old men sense not to see this as another money venture over the blood of galant soldiers. |
Facelesscabal:I concur to your thoughts. The BH ranks has been swelled by kidnapped kids and such. They use the women as war brides and the younglings as more soldiers. For the first time since this issue has been brought up, I am just reading that those planned for amnesty fall into that group. If we adopt a mindset of 'kill them all', this war ain't ending soon. If there is a way of giving soft landings to non orients or kidnapped members of the group, cases of combatants dropping their weapons and reporting themselves to the next military post will abound. That then will give info for the layout of their bases and give the soldiers an better plan of attack. If on the other hand they know they are on the death list, this will never happen as they be forced to fight till they drop dead. BH on the other hand will keep 'recritung' either by indoctrination or kidnapping like the attack on chibok which happened a few days ago. The onus on the government now is - how to prove to the public that these ones will no later return to being menaces - give succor to the families of those who lost their lives (soldiers and civilians) that this is a right step to ensure the sacrifices of the dead would not be a waste as this step would end the war fast. - show true determination in taking care of the displaced - work on how radicalism would no more take hold of the hearts of youths in the north and effectively transition the almajiry system - improve the economy in the north as a hood work place - obey the rule of law (the death of Yusuf caused all this wahala) Wisdom is needed here and the govt should not just feel people will readily accept the offer. People are hurt and the government already made a move that speaks insensitivity. They should have approached stakeholders with an explanation ahead of making such a move. I hope the best is done to put all this into our history books VERY soon. |

"28 days later" movie comes to mind. We've all been seeing those zombie and apocalyptic movies. I hope we've also been planning for it instead of enjoying the entertainment alone. |
The judgement was not about the amount stolen but the way the crime was carried out. Stealing or ordinary robbery has a low sentence but when 'armed' even if it is with ordinary stick, he is liable to a capital sentence. The Judge was being lenient by not sending him to the gallows. The objectivity of the whole thing is that being armed with a weapon give a higher probability of causing bodily harm to the victim as well and possibly cause death. This is an old law that was created during the military era to eradicate armed robbery. I don't think based on current happenings that it would be repealed any time soon. |
homebase:For GTB rate, how much was charged for bank charges and what was the naira exchange rate (if it was paid into your naira account). Thanks in advance |
JerryQ:Funny I recently was trying to bring up a similar observation. Some traders will do better trading binary options compared to forex trading. if you have a trading system that most of the time goes towards to direction within x number of minutes or hours after trade start but due to other factors may or may not hit your TP, considering binary options might be the way to go. |

Hello, I needed some help to assess the credit risk appetite and tolerance that the top five Nigerian commercial banks have to expand their credit risk profile (FOR CONSUMER LOANS ONLY). https://docs.google.com/document/d/e/2PACX-1vT91K1ExBrH-Oblsdy98LYTNJ1aaa3wZnTwI_HCWWEQqHb3PNz3gkFajf7ZmRBttnIJe0re2-Gyz8-h/pubCurrently in Financial Consulting category Buyer's Request on fiverr. signalsmedia:As it is, we are lucky to even have a thread for forex here on nairaland. This is a thread like any other. As a matter of fact, it is purely at your own risk to follow any 'recommendation' made here from someone not licensed to give financial advice. You can ask any poster to post screenshots but there is no compulsion to it. Cheers. |
