Adetayooyinade: Share your timeline sis or bro. It helps and encourages others. You needed help in booking medical and made enquiries. You got your good news and didn't share. Back again with enquiry to submit passport without sharing? Please share your timeline so others can be encouraged. 1 Like |

Jay316: Going to Vancouver but yet to book a flight. KLM I saw is for 26th and it was 544k on wakanow. I intend to book a return ticket to enable me access pta but am still trying to clarify whether cbn will still flag my bvn if I only use the ticket to Vancouver and don't use it back to Nigeria. Black market is too ridiculous! 1 Like |

frankob: Hmmm, it doesn't hurt to submit NSE docs if u have oo. My initial application took like 50 days before I got my decision(a refusal) while this application that gave me my PPR took 42 days. I didn't get NSE request but submitted them anyways. |

Hello house, please what is the best or cheaper means of moving funds abroad? Like how do we move our remaining naira in our accounts to Canada. Tried to even calculate how reasonable it is to purchase a return ticket to access pta but the cost of one way ticket is alarming not to talk of a return ticket. Someone with more knowledge on this should please assist. 2 Likes |

Hello guys, thank God for me. I got my PPR this afternoon, apparently it's been sitting in my mail since 3.30pm but I had a busy day at work. After work,I went for a program in my church. It was when we closed I checked my phone and realised I had a message in my Gmail. Lo and behold...there sat my approval since 3.30pm this afternoon. This was a reapplication and in my previous application, the VO showed concerns about my funds stating he perceived it was for demonstration purpose only(I saw this in my GCMS notes. Timeline below: Application submission: 14th sept BVL and PPR: 27th Oct. I saw only one ghost update and eligibility never started till after PPR sef. Since the concern was mainly on finance, all I did was pay a year tuition as against the initial tuition deposit I paid. I perceived that if I claimed I was self sponsored and the money accessible to me,why pay the minimum which was the tuition deposit? I only submitted MBS for my pof, snip shot of my student account showing one year tuition, upfront medical,IELTS,LOE and new LOA. Special thanks to all the gurus and everyone taking their time to answer the numerous questions here. For everyone expecting,God will make it speedy and easy for you. 32 Likes |

[quote author=praiseb post=107088580]Good evening guys, Just last week MP replied me that I passed all requirements, today I got procedural fairness letter. I used two bank statements each belonging to my father, What I don’t understand is why this is coming now. Not a guru but from my own understanding, that letter gives u the opportunity to clear the air. If indeed the statement was not doctored and no hanky panky whatsoever,u can as well respond to their concerns and show the aunthencity of your statement by using a MBS which gives u a ticket and password electronically sent directly to the Canadian embassy. If u are not up to the task of writing an articulated explanation with your supporting document, reach out to experienced people in the field...my 2 cent |

happachris: Was this reason (home ties)stated in your first refusal or simply based on finance? I used to think the vos can't come up with a refusal reason that was not previously stated before. Nawa for these peeps o. Order ur notes to understand the actual concerns |

Pearls001: Hmmm...If u used ur notes to tackle the refusal reason and the vo still refused based on personal asset which was also part of the previous refusal reasons,I believe the VO was still not convinced. Most times I don't think its about the sufficiency of the funds like most people think,it's more about availability of funds when needed. These guys look critically and logically at the account statement, trend in transactions and may draw up conclusions that funds could have been camouflaged. When your notes arrive,u will get a clearer insight to the vo's concerns. All the best in your next application. |

Pearls001: So sorry to hear this. Get your notes which will be a lot more explicit on the VO's concerns. Were the 3 previous refusals on personal asset and financial status? Also, did u pay tuition to show commitment to the school? |

Schoolhike: How come some banks are saying the student must show evidence of scholarship? Is it that banks are twisting the policy cos there is no uniformity across all banks nau |
Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 20 by Teeprecious: 8:55am On Sep 29, 2021 |
Godsfave: Lol. A student can only access PTA with a one-way ticket if he or she is on scholarship . The person must show evidence of scholarship too. That's the new CBN policy on PTA. |
Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 20 by Teeprecious: 3:21pm On Sep 25, 2021 |
Enjay316: There is a new CBN policy in place to include living expense of 3k per semester. This can only be transferred to an account opened in your name and yes,it will be done via form A except this is for the student's living expense |
